Arno Ristorante is a bustling, white-tablecloth Italian gem in the Garment District, ideal for group dinners with solid pastas and a welcoming vibe.
"Times Square is full of huge restaurants where you can bring groups, but if you’re not interested in an abundance of neon lights and/or tourists, then your options are more limited. Casa Nonna is a safe bet for dinner with colleagues or a bite before heading out of Penn Station or Port Authority. This Italian place is huge, and there are a bunch of big round tables to fill with pastas, pizzas, and definitely a side of the eggplant parm." - bryan kim, matt tervooren
"Casa Nonna is the sort of place where you can plan a last-minute dinner for your boss or some clients when you need something nice in the Garment District and you don’t want to get fired. The food is Italian, and while it isn’t the best you’ll find in NYC, the pastas are solid, there are plenty of options, and they have a eggplant parm side that’s one of the better ways to get a serving of vegetables. The space is also huge, with a bunch of big round tables and leather booths, and at any given time there will probably be at least three boat owners here." - bryan kim
