Wow, what a restaurant... Central location, excellent service, great atmosphere. And the food was exceptionally delicious. We ordered 2 starters, Caprese salad and grilled mozzarella, wonderful dishes that awakened the taste for what was to come. The pasta dishes did not disappoint - excellent tortellini with boleononese and especially delicious pesto gnocchi. Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert, but they certainly looked appetizing.

Ate here as part of a business meal with 14 people. The restaurant did an excellent job with shared appetizers (calamari, salad, fried mozzarella), and then we each ordered our main course off the menu. Everyone enjoyed the food. The staff was friendly and attentive from the time we walked in the front door. The restaurant was bustling and had constant conversation, but was not too loud. The menu has the mostly typical range of Italian dishes all prepared well. If this is the right part of town for you, then Arno’s could be a good choice.

Such a weird experience and despite the food being delicious, left me feeling unsettled. To start, 4 different waiters came by to ask for our drink order, but we were not given any menus. Once we ordered drinks, they provided us with food menus, but never shown any drink menu. So we order, it’s scorching hot in the restaurant but whatever, the food was great. However, if you try to split something, they will charge you $3.50 per person splitting the item. The service continued to be bizarre, with different waiters coming by to push us to buy more. Then we get the bill. Not only were the dishes overpriced and you have to pay extra to share food, but wine is about $20-23 per glass (not that we could’ve known that in the beginning, as they refused to hand us any drink menus). Overall, this place just oozes money grab from tourists despite the food actually being of high quality. Such a shame.

The customer service was on point. We were immediately greeted upon entering. We were seated quickly. Our waiter Manuel was knowledgeable about the menu options including vegetarian favorites for myself. The eggplant Parmesan was AMAZING! The desserts were chefs kiss. Everyone knows you can't come to New York without having cheesecake and Arno's cheesecake was incredible. I would totally recommend! Overall, I give Arno a 10/10. Must try!

A pleasant surprise at this well known but touristy restaurant. As others have noted, everyone dining there appears to be on an expense account. Despite that, the waiter was very helpful and recommended a special chop with grilled vegetables. It was really well prepared and delicious. I paired it with a side of pasta with pesto, which was also really tasty. I enjoyed my meal quite a bit, though with two glasses of wine it was $150.

Luis was exceptional serving us for the evening. The appetizers, the mains, the desserts, the coffee ... all of it. Just unreal. Wow wow wow... I'd go back in a heartbeat

This is one of those restaurants your hotel concierge will recommend it to you if you ask for a nice place to eat. It serves the nearby tourist and business hotels but unlikely somewhere a local NYer would frequent. It’s comfortable, has large tables to accommodate business team dinners, and serves decent food. The fettuccine is homemade and pretty good. The gazpacho on the other hand was not really edible. It was probably just blended salsa.

This place! Felt authentic, excellent service, welcoming like everyone there was part of a family. Great service, great food. I think you could watch the world go by here. Loved it.

Came to Arno, for a private event, and had a fabulous time. The restaurant is well lit, has plenty of seating, and a large private area. The wait staff was extraordinary. They were dressed to impress, kept our large group comfortable, and explained every course before they were presented. Every single course was top notch, nicely presented, and the family style portions kept everyone content. The drinks were on point and everyone had rave reviews on how they enjoyed their choice. Mine was a Classic Margarita. The dinner started with Bruchetta and a salad. Then, we received Tortellini with penne pasta and marinara sauce. My main course was the Veal Marsala. This entire entree was so flavorful, had the perfect amount of salt, and a knife wasn't even necessary. I forgot to take pics of the dessert, but they presented plates with Cannolis, Tiramisu, Chocolate Cake, and Biscotti. Every piece was consumed within seconds and the Cappuccino capped of the meal perfectly. I really enjoyed Arno, appreciated the five star service, and highly recommended, for a classic Italian meal.

Arno's in the Fashion District is an absolute gem. I've been coming here for years, and it always feels like home. The food is consistently excellent, but what really sets Arno's apart are the people, Milan, Bronko, Carlos, and their fantastic team. They have a way of making everyone feel like family, and their care and attention make every visit special. It's so nice to have a local spot in the Fashion District that you can rely on for a great lunch, dinner, or even just apps and drinks. If you haven't been to Arno's yet, you're missing out. This place is the real deal and makes my heart happy! Must have the espresso martini seen here - 3 beans of course.

Came here for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. Food was great, service was awesome, and they did not rush us out even tho we were the last people in the restaurant. Would absolutely go back here when we are in town.

Classic Italian restaurant. Lunch is not cheap. Service is very prompt. The setting is perfect for private dining with clients or a lunch date. Food is fresh and hot

We were here for a pharmacy dinner last night. The venue itself is ok, but the food was disappointing. We had a party of about 100 people in one of the private rooms. The food was served buffet style instead of family style at each table. There was also only 3 items, a pasta dish, chicken marsala, and a salad. Dessert options were better with cakes and coffee. I'm not sure how our organization paid per head for the event, but I'm hoping it was significantly less than other venues we've been at for the amount and quality of food we got.

This place is so cute! The food is delicious and they even have mocktails!!! The restaurant took my food allergies seriously, which is so hard these days to find. The food had great flavor and presented well.

We went here a couple hours before the ball drop and also this place was the first food we ate in Nee York. The environment was right away good as we walked in. They sat our group down and catered to us very nicely. The food was good but to be honest it didn't blow my mind that I was hoping for. Maybe my expectations were high for NY food. The waiters were very kind to help us find how to get to the Brooklyn Bridge.

We staggered in out of the cold with no reservation, but they threw a few tables together and got us seated. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious, and the froth on the espresso was perfect. The manager even took some time to talk wine. I could not have been happier with the experience.

It's a big big room! I finally ate at this classic Midtown spot and ℹ thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a large party in the big upstairs room and we sat downstairs which was a small, but snazzy room. Ate: Bread Mixed salad Baked clams Swordfish Snapper & shellfish in a light red sauce Asparagus Total: $154 The waiters bring a Carbone like flair to the joint. Very fun. The bread was good! Best part when I asked for olive oil they gave me an Italian organic and for me that's heaven. Baked clams could have been crispier on top. Salad was very tasty Their mashed potatoes likely made with artichokes are their signature and incredible. Pricey but truly enjoyed the experience and will return.

The service here was honestly really bad. We were seated first, but the server kept serving tables that came after us. He never once asked for our opinions or checked in with us, but he stopped by another table at least four times to make sure they were okay. It was frustrating, and I started feeling annoyed--I just wanted to finish my dinner and leave. At the end, I thought he was finally bringing us the bill, but instead, he went to the table that came after us and asked them if they wanted dessert. Only after that did he come to us and ask if we wanted dessert too. At that point, I was over it. Not a good experience at all.

I was a bit on the fence of 3 or 4 stars for this one. The space itself was very quaint and perfect for what we needed. We had a large family dinner and the space fit us perfectly. The noise level was perfect - not too loud so we were able to talk and have a conversation. Service was also very good. They made sure to refill our wine glasses frequently and the server was great with answering questions about the menu. I have to say the food was just okay. Started with the baked clams and calamari, which was a good meal both good. Then I had the ravioli special for dinner. I did not realize it came with a mushroom sauce (waiter never told us this), and if I knew then I would not have gotten it. I wasn't thrilled with the pasta choices, but the rest of my family seemed to enjoy their meals. I would say in a pinch for a large group over the holidays, this is a good option. If you are looking for good, authentic NYC Italian and you have options, I would say this wouldn't be my first pick.

Unlikely to impress, but likely to please, Arno is a traditional Italian American restaurant in the garment district. Came with a group that didn't have a lot of direction on what to order for shared apps and desserts. So we asked the staff - they didn't really give us an option as to what we ordered - but it all came out promptly, was tasty and reasonably priced. No gold plated bait and switch here. Sauces were dry (not sweet) but lacked the flavor punch of punchier restaurants. Veal chop was a little tough - buts it's tougher when there ain't any. Bar service was quick. Service team acted like.....a team. They swooped and swirled. Got us in and out. Not the place I'd take my regular date because it lacks some pizazz but perfectly acceptable for a work dinner. Or for a group.

Food (3/5): Came with a large group. We ordered a bunch of appetizers including calamari, caprese salad, and prosciutto and cheese plate. The appetizers overall was reasonably good although nothing stood out in particular. I ordered the Delmonico Steak and a small bowl of linguine pasta with meatballs. The meatballs in the pasta was unfortunately too hard and a bit overcooked. The sauce and noodles were nice though. The Delmonico steak which I got medium was nicely marbled but it was quite chewy in some parts. I liked the large portion for the steak. Oddly it came onion rings which weren't so good but the overall steak was good. Service (5/5): Very upscale service with friendly and helpful servers. The servers attentively took out orders, made recommendations, and checked up on us. They frequently refilled water and efficiently took our order. Ambiance (5/5): There is a beautiful interior giving an upscale atmosphere. There are nice paintings hung on the wall and beautiful lights. The restaurant was overall clean. Some of the tables in the center seemed too closely packed but overall the restaurant was nice.

My go-to place for a business lunch or dinner. Fish is always fresh. The pasta and risotto dishes are solid as are the meats. Unlike other places who set up their specials to get rid of old stuff, their specials are based upon what they buy fresh that day. Service is attentive and professional.

Came here for an event and had a private room downstairs so it was hard to get a sense of the atmosphere. As apps, we had the meatballs, creamy truffle tortellini, bruschetta which all were good. Especially the tortellini. For app, the mixed salad was good. My salmon was fine and cooked to my preference. It only came with a side of mash which I found to be underwhelming. A colleague next to me had a shellfish allergy and ordered the chicken dish. Immediately, she could tell there was cross contamination as she had a bit of a reaction. Not terrible where she felt sick but enough to know she couldn't continue eating it. They took our coffee and tea order way before the dessert arrived. But it didn't come until after dessert was served (majority of us had already finished the dessert as they were serving it). The one thing that did urk me was seeing the dead cockroach just outside the ladies room but I guess it's better out there than in my food.

Really fine Italian near MSG. A bit expensive but I had great salmon. Service was terrific and the place is really nice. Enjoy!!!

4.5 stars. Casually elegant, very warm and friendly service, delicious food. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Arno. Menu is extensive enough that we each struggled to decide on an entreé. Service hit the perfect sweet spot where it's brisk but never felt rushed. Our server helped me choose between the red snapper and the veal - and while I'm sure the snapper is delicious ... trust me, try the veal! I opted for the scaloppine alla cardinale, and it was mouth-watering - tender and decadently flavored. And the bresaola is a perfect appetizer. Note that vegetable sides are ordered separately (both of our entrees came with a small order of roasted potatoes, which was all we needed). If we'd skipped the appetizer, a side would have rounded out the meal nicely. Strongly recommended.

While in New York for the holidays, we visited Arno Ristorante. The food was great and staff friendly and nice. Great experience.

Pretty good midtown Italian. Primi courses much more impressive than secondi. Which is to say, order the pasta.

The food was Ok but NOT presented nicely. All fish and meat dishes did not come with any color, there was no green, orange or red from vegetable garnish, everything came with a little portion of mash patato. My main dish Shrimp with tomato sauce was just OK, one of the shrimps had a funky bad seafood taste, it came with a small portion of mash patato, ehcih was odd, woud be better if it came with a small portion of Linguini. I ordered a Sauteed broccoli side for $15.50, it didn't look like anything. (there was 10-12 pieces of broccoli with some garlic pieces on a plate. The service was OK, not necessary warm, but we got what we needed. The ambiance is as expected. All in all, I think the quality and selection of food has gone down a lot. it's a great location in the fashion district, it would be great if they can improv the food and service.

I'm a businessman from Chicago. If you are a lover of Italian food and you travel the first thing you have to resign yourself to is the city you're from and your favorite Italian dishes can be prepared differently depending on what city you are in and where the Italians that settled there may have immigrated from. That said Arno was like home cooking for me. The only thing equal to the quality of the food was the attention the staff provided. We did a three pasta App which was individually exceptional and as it was Ash Wednesday all the good Italian American Catholics that we are we of course had the fish. In one word Amazing! Several different recommended wines were exceptional as well. Of course the company shared at the table, the great service and each delicious course made for a combined can't wait to go back experience.

I've been coming to Arno's for over 18 years. It's a staple in the Garment District. The entire staff is friendly and will always ensure you are taken care of. Carlos is an amazing host and very attentive. The food is delicious and the vibe is fun and light. Great for a full dinner experience or just to enjoy drinks. The fried branzino fillet was amazing. Very light and fresh. The linguini with clam sauce was also very good. The fried calamari was amazing, tender and not too greasy. I highly recommend visiting Arno if you are in mid-town and looking for a good dining experience.

Got the seafood risotto which was decent but the atmosphere was bizarre. Was there around the 4th of July, so maybe a lot of ppl were just out of town, but the restaurant was absolutely dead. Honestly felt pretty eerie.

If you are going to New York, a good Italian place is an absolute must! Arno is a great place. A little off the 24/7 main paths but worth the extra few steps off the main drives. We loved this place! The staff is exceptional and the food even better. None of that plate splattered red sauce with something resembling "lasagne", these people do it right. And, save some space for desert. Redic! Do it!

I made a reservation at Arno to strategically time dinner between the end of my conference and heading back to Penn Station. I was quickly greeted and the hostess asked someone who I think was the owner to store my luggage, which was nice and very helpful. I hate rolling my luggage into a restaurant, but sometimes, that's just how it is. I ordered the tortellini bolognese after having some of their nice house bread. The bolognese came out much faster than expected, which was great because I was on a time crunch. It was pretty flavorful, and I paired it with two glasses of Chianti. From an ambience perspective, I appreciated that all the staff were dressed nicely in suits and professional attire. The restaurant was reasonably large but felt like it had a sort of family-owned vibe. I'd come back to Arno!

The food was wonderful-the best calamari we've Ever had, the rice pudding cake was light as a feather, everything we ate was Wonderful!! The service was Outstanding. Every single aspect was Excellent!! It was SO Much better than any Italian food we've had here in Florida, and we have what good Italian here, just nowhere near as good as this!!

I'm not sure why this place only gets 3 1/2 stars. The meal I just had was 5 stars all the way! The service was friendly and efficient, the gnocchi was melt and your mouth and the fungi pasta was delicious. Top it off with a cup of espresso, cheesecake and raspberry tart and you get a 5 star meal!!

The place is good, not great. It is real old school Italian, big room, white tablecloth kind of place. "Date night" kind of place, not a "quick bite to eat place". We had a nice sampling of the menu. I see people are posting prices, so I will do that to. It is on the fine dining side of things if you are from NY, heart attack-ville if not. I see people say they were rushed and that does seem to be the culture there. Maybe they see it as attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine and the guy wanted give us the specials before we even had a toast. Then they were all over us to order. Ha- as a NYer, I'm not afraid they will think badly of me if I speak my mind, so I just looked at him and said, we are going to enjoy our wine and look at the menu. We will call you when we are ready. When I ordered, (we like to share multiple courses), I told him no rush between courses. Having said that politely but sternly, they respected it. A decent bottle of wine - $75 (to their credit, the did not push a $400 bottle of wine as some places do 1st course (to share) Breasaola - $23 - the least good thing we ordered. I don't know how to prepare breasaola so I cant say what was wrong 2nd course (to share) Rigatoni Amatriciana - $30 - authentic, good and they split it for us in the kitchen. 3rd course - Veal Limone - $34 and the fish special (Halibut) - $46 - both were fresh and good. Total $226 plus tip $44. Bottom line - Good, but not rushing back.

We ended up here for dinner after catching a matinee. The four of us were treated like royalty from the minute we sat down. The servers were great and very attentive, and the waiter knew the menu inside and out. The restaurant itself is beautiful too, with a large welcoming bar. The food was really good (whatever that veal special was... incredible!), but the portions were a little smaller than what I was expecting. Also the menu itself is somewhat limited, but we sampled a few different items and every single one of them was delicious. As one of the lesser-known Italian restaurants in the Times Square area, it's worth a visit for sure.

Very good Italian restaurant. Not sure why they got only 3.5 stars but I had very good experience. Since I walked in and they seat me down. Stuff and personal very friendly and polite. Food was delicious! Definitely coming back again.

Food: expensive. Small veal chop seriously overcooked for $89! And Rubbery pasta. Service: waiters aggressively push drinks... Ambiance: in this moldy Dinosaur of a place with booming dockworker noise (no acoustic buffers), and no culinary grace, nothing is refined. Like an Atlantic casino - just suffer thru the loud, pricey meal knowing that while alive, this house will always win.

Went there for the first time before going to a show. The servers were very pleasant however , we were rushed from the time we sat down. The way they kept coming over literally every five minutes to see if we were ready to order. He read us our specials and we told him we wanted to wait a few minutes that we were in no rush. We ordered the mini bottles of wine each. I barely finished the first one he was refilling it over and over again .He repeatedly came back to the table . we decided to order and we told him bring our appetizer first and then we would let him know when to bring our dinner, he stated he could not do this because the dinners were already prepared. ?No sooner did we finish our appetizer another waiter had our dinners at hand. The restaurant was quite empty. We sat by the bar and had two other tables next to us. This rushed service made no sense.

Long time favorite... consistently good overall... great staff... I'm a former event planner, and I have good memories of throwing events here... there was a big party room in the basement, and I hope it is still there.

Back in NYC after a major hiatus and spending a lot of time eating out. We took a client to the Arno ristorante last eve prior to a show and it was a bit of a mix bag. Ambiance was exactly as expected, hustling waiters and maitre'd ushered us to our reserved table quickly and with some panache. Tables akimbo and a little squishy but staff were quick to accommodate. We had drinks in a blink and ordered some Caprese. This should be a staple at a spot like this but it was not great. Beefsteak tomatoes - cold like it came out of a fridge, mozzarella cold. Fine. I ate it... let's move on. Everyone had a pasta dish and they were fine as well. Tortellini Bolognese came quickly but was a little underwhelming. Two cappellini dishes came out looking lovely but the show stealer was Carbonara which was not in the menu. A bottle of wine later and we were out the door with a $500+ tab. I'm fine with that if it's amazing but it wasn't. A bit of a tourist trap long on quick service and short on great food. Admittedly, Times Square is a rough spot for fine dining but I would pass on this place next time.

Delicious and reliable. Their lasagna and salmon are my favorite main dishes & all the apps have been good too. Pleasant staff and interior. Perfect for lunch!

This is an amazing restaurant for a night on Broadway. The staff is so attentive and the large bay windows are the perfect place for a romantic evening or a group outing. The mushroom pasta has an abundance of mushrooms, but there were so many great items on the menu that I'd try something new next time. I would have to get the tartufo with the house Prosecco every time though!

I had never heard of this restaurant before I'd went. In fact, being led here felt like a fever dream because I'd walked around the neighborhood so many times and never once noticed Arno. When the door opened it was like you were going into a different vibe completely. The interior is quiet and nice. We had reservations so we were led right to our seats, in the center of the dining area. Although we were in the middle of the restaurant, the experience was very intimate and we all felt comfortable Our server was extremely kind, easy to talk to, and answered all questions we had with ease. He was knowledgeable about the food and was able to anticipate our needs. The food was delish, especially the freshly made pasta. The mushroom pasta was the best by far, flavorful and had great texture. The gnocchi was a bit mushy but you could tell that it was all fresh The desserts were just alright The veggie pasta was great too, super fresh!

They were so kind and accommodated our last minute 10 person reservation! They provided great service and the food tasted amazing. The owner even provided us with free extra food which was very kind.

This is my fave go to place in my neighborhood, the Garment District. Food is terrific and service is warm, personal. I've had private parties and meetings in the spacious rooms downstairs. I've entertained biz clients there too. All waiters, owners, staff are friendly and accommodating. Norma R, west 38th st.

Came here on a recommendation. It was good. I tried the gnocchi with bolognese sauce. The gnocchi were really light and fluffy. Service was good. Restaurant was really busy for a Wednesday night.

Tourist review here. We were close to the restaurant walking down Broadway and Yelp seemed to whisper...try this restaurant! We did and we weren't disappointed!! We didn't have reservations but we're eating early so they were able to seat us immediately. The service was attentive and they didn't try to upsell us. It has an old NY feel to it and as it got later, the restaurant filled up with locals, shaking hands and patting backs. I think I even saw The Godfather in the corner!! 7 of us ordered a variety of dishes and we loved each one! Steak, Risotto del Mar, Eggplant Parmesan, Pasta with beef...and more. My husband, who is very picky about the red sauce, loved their sauce. Don't let a few negative reviews scare you off! This is the real deal...don't miss it!

$16 for a shallow bowl of salty soup and a rude parmesan cheese guy, no thank you. There are so many other options in the area.

I'd give this place a five star except for the fact that my server was not personable at all. The food was absolutely delicious and the other servers who helped us were very nice, but our main server, not so much. I'm assuming it's the way I was dressed, jeans and a pullover that might have put them off, because the guys in suits close to us were fawned all over. They need to understand their customers a little better because I dropped a nice chunk of change there, just like the suits. Just because I wasn't in a suit doesn't mean I can't afford them.

Surprisingly good and (relatively) affordable Italian restaurant in the Times Square area. Most restaurants in the vicinity are either grossly over-priced or have unhealthy "touristy" offerings, or both. I went to Arno for a quick solo dinner. It was my first visit there and a fully satisfying one. The space is big and has a formal feel though the guests seemed to be dressed anywhere from casual to dressy. The menu has a range of choices from starters and salads to pastas, meats and seafood. I opted to have the filet of sole which turned out to be a full fish served grilled with capers and jenon butter. The fish was perfectly done, flaky and moist with just a hint of brown on top. It was served with a side of well done, creamy polenta. I also ordered a side of broccoli rabe sautéed with garlic and olive oil. The vegetable was cooked so it still had crunch without being raw. Of the many wines on the list, I chose a Barolo which was the perfect complement to the buttery fish. I passed on dessert. The service was efficient and quick with a manner more European than American, civil but not overly friendly.
