"My standing order there is the fishwich, served hot and bountiful with fish fried crispy on the outside and falling-apart-tender on the inside. I order mine with a slice of American cheese, then slather it with tartar sauce and try to eat it all before the bun disintegrates between my fingers. I always get it with two side orders of coleslaw — Arnold’s makes its slaw with dried cranberry and apple, which is probably controversial to some folks, but I love it and just don’t care." - Rebecca Flint Marx

We came here for the first time this year and it is still the best place around. The World Famous Onion Rings, which I would highly recommend, are piled high and are a perfect addition to your meal. I would also recommend the mini golf and ice cream. I will definitely be back soon

Google
We stopped here like we do every year- 2 Family of 4 people each and ended up spending more than $350 here. And that too all Cash!!!! Although the food appeared to be cooked perfectly it had little flavor. It was like they left the seasoning out of the breading. I would recommend them to do better with those seasoning. They use to be great. We got the warm and cold lobster rolls, lobster bisque, hot dog with Chilli, burger, cheese pasta and more. (Check out the picks). The servings were generous but all the food again was a bit blend. The bisque literally tasted like thick warm milk with chunks of lobster stirred in. Maybe it’s just our tastebuds yearning for seasoning. The lobster was a bit chewy. Service was quick and friendly. Food was served fresh. The fries were tasty. The onion rings were ok. One part of this meal we enjoyed was the coleslaw that includes apples and cranberries. In summary, I was ok with Arnold's Lobster & Clam Bar. Our visit was defined by long lines, outdated payment methods, and mediocre expensive food.

Google
We stopped here and got the platter for two. It was their first day opening for the season. Although the food appeared to be cooked perfectly it didn't have any flavor. It was like they left the seasoning out of the breading. It got a little greasy toward the bottom of the plate, but that's to be expected. It's a great place with a great location.

Google
Stopped by Arnold's while on the bike path. Extremely convenient location. Went with a coffee oreo frappe. It's was okay. A little pricey, which I generally don't mind.

Google
Got a clam chowder and a lobster roll. Everyone was great and helpful. This is a favorite place on the cape. The staff was excellent. Congratulations 🎊 to all your staff. Will be back in the fall👍❤️

Yakov Varganov

Google
This is our favorite seafood place on Cape Cod. It's been consistently perfect for years. The lobster rolls and the fish and chips are the best, also love Raw Bar! Their staff is always helpful and enthusiastic.

Robin Lindsay

Google
FAT oystahs and fried clams! Get the large beer and keep the glass so you remember to go back. The staff really hustles to keep the place running. It's on the Rail Trail too, so it's a nice stop along the way to or from Ptown or Chatham. I'll have to keep coming back so I can eat more!

Google
The food is pretty expensive for smallish servings, but the overall quality was pretty good. The onion rings were great and the ice cream had very generous servings and was delicious. Quick service (on a Monday afternoon lunchtime)

Yelp
Mini golf-5/10 Food 8/10 Came for the golf, stayed for the food. The mini golf was classic, but the holes were raised so when you were actually putting the balls often lipped out. Now you may say, "hey, you're just bad at mini golf" which may be true but my boyfriend and I typically hit par or better and we both struggled on this course. the food was solid, I wish there were some flavor butter options but I think that may be asking too much. Fries were awesome as well. The warm roll came in at $33 which is a bit high for what I'm used to but it tasted pretty good. Both mini golf and food are cash only so make sure you have that on hand!

Yelp
First time visiting Arnold's. We started off with two lucky things happening to us. First, we got a great parking spot and second, we hit the line right at the best time. We waited, maybe, 5 minutes before ordering our dinner. I loved to see 2 registers opening and help around the front to get people in to order quickly. We ordered a fish sandwich, a grilled chicken sandwich and a clam plate with bellies, a side of onion rings and 4 drinks. After placing our order, we got our table inside and got ready to hear our name called. As we sat and chatted, it was amazing to see the crowd continue to come in and place their orders. Arnold's was clearly a favorite of many. Our name was called and we got our food. I split the clam plate, which was great! The chicken sandwich and veggie sandwich was great, too....but both thought they were getting fries, too. As you can see in the picture, it was just the sandwich and nothing to go with it. Luckily, we ordered a side of onion rings, which was good to go along with the two sandwiches. All of the food was excellent. The onion rings were really good but a bit salty for me. I would rate them in the my top 5 of all time but just a big too salty. Clearly they were home made....which is always a good thing! Plenty of parking Fast service with a smile Price was reasonable Clean and neat Free refills for drinks Ice cream is available, as well 5-stars

Yelp
I've been here most years since 1987, I think it deserves its accolades. You come here for the food, not the atmosphere or the crowds :/. it's a classic seafood shack but super sized. And they keep it clean and friendly. We're here today around 3... Between us we had lobster, fish and chips and steamers. These were the best and biggest steamer clams I can remember getting, one of them had to have around a 6 inch shell and was massive. Despite that not rubbery, not sandy. They know how to prep! Had some steamers elsewhere recently that were quite sandy. Lobster and fish were cooked beautifully. Very light slightly crispy batter on the fish which was clearly straight off the boat. Cole slaw is their own unique approach, quite colorful, incorporating apple and cranberry in a very light dressing. Outstanding first visit of the season! No crowds yet

Annie S.

Yelp
Always a 5 star experience/meal! So much better than the other places on the Cape. We love the onion rings, fried scallops and shrimp. Seating - there is indoor seating, covered outdoor seating, shady outdoor seating and sunny outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is on wooden picnic tables. Parking - big parking lot. Dog friendly and there's a fountain for dogs to get water!

Shannon F.

Yelp
Great vibe and great food! Went to Arnold's Fourth of July weekend and it was great! Had a group of 9 people split into four orders and it was all out within 15-25 minutes. However the wait for a steamed lobster was around an hour so we skipped that and stuck to the rolls and fried options. It is a CASH ONLY but there is an ATM inside. MUST gets are - clam chowder - fried shrimp - hot and cold lobster roll - onion rings

james m.

Yelp
Very cool spot. The fried seafood is very plain. It's fresh, but I prefer food with flavor.

S T.

Yelp
This place is famous in Cape cod. I'm not sure I would agree. We got their lobster roll--imagine lobster in a hot dog bun...and that's what you get for $39 for each lobster roll!! It was highly disappointing. The ambiance is like a county fair but with seafood. You have to stand in line to get your food then sit down, with no air conditioning. Lunch for two people was $90! (Jaw drop!) The restaurant is cash only, so bring your $50 bills! You will need them!

Jean W.

Yelp
Famous and recommended but not sure we can agree.... Lobster is expensive, so when you ask for lobster rolls combo's and pay a premium for it, everything coming with your lobster lunch should be premium as well. The roll itself was dry and the lettuce clearly didn't have its best day. Fries were oily (wish I would taken a picture of the inside of the little basket), so the only item that matches the price-quality equivalent were the onion rings! Amount of lobster provided is barely ok, tastes so/so ... Oh and another bummer: CASH ONLY! Oh yes, thanks for the ATM where I have to pay an extra fee to get my money. I understand the business decision not to accept cards, but at least the service provided should not bring along an extra charge!

Amy P.

Yelp
First time, loved it! Fried clams were outstanding, such a light batter and so crispy. The lobster roll was delicious, with ample pieces of lobster, and the ice cream was so creamy and perfect! We loved it so much we came back the next day to eat there again! The staff is very hard-working and they have a great list of drinks! Can't wait till next year to go back there.

Susan M.

Yelp
Ate there twice last week. Generous portions, food is terrific (OMG the fishermans fried platter served 3 of us!) and appreciate the self-serve soda, lemon, etc. The NICEST people working at the counter and those cleaning up. Place is immaculate. Beautiful grounds and easy parking. I'd definitely eat there again. Great for families ... just a great New England seafood restaurant with sooo many offerings!!!

Kenna M.

Yelp
I wish I noticed that the fisherman's platter served two! We came in and ordered a fisherman's platter (each) for three people. I was surprised to learn that each plate was ~$46... *then* the plates came out and then I wasn't surprised. Due to my negligence (again), I ordered a small order or whole belly clams not realizing there would already be some in the fisherman's platter. They were good and probably tasted of what whole belly clams should, but not necessary since it was included in the fisherman's platter. The food here was good, though could have used a dash of salt and a side or lemons. We settled for the malt vinegar on the table. The star of the show here was their coleslaw, which had apples and cranberries. YUM! I appreciated the ample seating - indoor and open air/outdoor options. I also appreciated the easy access to utensils, napkins, and to-go boxes!

Merve D.

Yelp
Despite the line being so long the wait wasn't too long. Seafood is so fresh. No credit/debit accepted.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Lobster roll is beyond perfect. It's laiden with very fresh and tender lobster. It's on a toasted bun with lettuce. The lobster is the star, as it should be, and it shines. We ordered an embarrassing amount of food for 2 people but we were eating our feelings because our friends left today. The calamari is very good. The fries were excellent. The onion rings are the string variety. Portions are generous. The wedge salad was cool and refreshing. There's a full bar, too, and they have a pretty serious ice cream situation going on but we didn't get any because you just read the list of what we ate. Condiments are everywhere which is so nice. It's easily reached by bike on the rail trail. Whatever you do, do NOT miss the lobster roll. Counter help was lovely and we did not wait long for our food. Thank you, Arnold's!!

Moriah L.

Yelp
I'm surprised at how low this place is rated. We got a pound of peel and eat shrimp and the seafood platter. It was SO GOOD. The shrimp are a must. The oysters and scallops were the highlight of the platter, but I'd definitely suggest the platter if you want to try a little of everything. The ambience is cool and food comes out fast and fresh. There's not much service involved but the people at the counters were friendly and efficient. I'd definitely recommend.

Shauna D.

Yelp
Tourist trap, stay away! I've been coming to the Cape my whole life, and every now and then I try to refresh my memory on some places that I don't frequent, especially when they seem to draw a crowd. I certainly hope visitors don't think *this* is what a good lobster roll experience is like. Long line does not equal high quality. Dining room feels like you're in a McDonalds, kids everywhere included.. For the price, enjoying a lobster roll and glass of white wine should not include a tiny plastic cup and plastic fast food tray with no atmosphere to speak of. There are so many other great places, unless you have a bunch of kids, I would definitely pass this.

Peyton H.

Yelp
Better this year than last, but I won't take back the overpriced comment. A bunch of my group got lobster rolls and they were really small / not a lot of meat for the hefty price. However the clam chowder was really good this year very creamy. Would've liked a little more clams but overall tasty. Also really liked the stuffies and thin onion rings. It's busy and cash only but they get through the line pretty quick.

Emma H.

Yelp
Clam chowder- excellent, enough clams and not too thick Lobster roll with mayo - excellent, plenty of lobster, it comes with slaw, oh yum! Kid friendly menu! Thank goodness Cash only! There are cash machines on site. Friendly and dash service

Christopher G.

Yelp
Arnold's is a go to spot for many on the Cape, both tourists and locals alike. If you're on Cape and looking for some fried seafood, look no further than Arnold's. Also, their onion rings are to die for!

Reana I.

Yelp
Nice for the family. Crab cakes and fried seafood were delicious. Service was fast and hasty very cafeteria feeling. This place can be overwhelming for a first time visit during busy summer hours. The staff are patient and will help you with ordering.

Bonnie N.

Yelp
We haven't been in years because the owner attended Jan. 6 but I've heard the quality has changed for the worst. We were big fans, walking there from our home, bringing visitors and family. The onion rings are the skinny and don't have the flavor of the big, fat ones found at other seafood shanties. We ride our bikes to the Friendly Fisherman, a real clam shack. It's a BYOB with a liquor store next door. I highly recommend the seafood platter for two. It's pricey but if you consider the amount of fried clams, scallops, shrimp and cod, and the fact that it serves 2 with leftovers, it's fair. On the other side of the liquor store is dessert - the best homemade ice cream on Cape.

Robert S.

Yelp
Not good anymore. This last visit was horrible. The clam strips that I usually get are now greasy and bland. I had heard about the lower quality of the food from friends, but I had to try it for myself. I could not finish my portion as I was getting a bit of a stomach pain...most likely because of the grease. It is just not good to eat food that is so greasy....it's just not good for you. That was my LAST time I stop here. There are other places with great reviews that I will be trying next time.

Dr M.

Yelp
A group of us gave Arnold's another try. Here's the good news: excellent onion rings. Unfortunately it ends there. The fried seafood is flavorless, so much so that I didn't finish my order. I think it's expensive for what it is. It's located on Route 6 to draw in tourists who haven't tried so many other, better fried seafood places on Cape Cod. There is good fried seafood on Cape Cod. I go elsewhere.... There are so many great places on the Cape, like Cookes, Cobies, and Moby Dicks, just to name a few of the places far superior to Arnold's.

Jenn S.

Yelp
I have been coming to Arnold's since I was a kid and it's never been this bad. I get it, everyone is short staffed and this was a busy, holiday weekend, also your last weekend opened (Labor Day weekend). Wait was 40 min, standard, there's always a line. Waitress told us 6 times (excessive) we couldn't substitute onion rings for fries or baked potato for fries. I only asked once for the potato and once for the onion rings. So staff were rude. But food was always good, so I chalked it up for a bad day for her. Unacceptable behavior but whatever. Food comes. I got the fried clam strips and hubby got the Cold lobster roll. $52 for a side of clam strips, lobster roll and 2 sodas! It's never been this expensive! I get it lobster is pricy but then it came on a cheap hot dog roll. The clam strips? Not even that good. They were cold. Come on Arnold's! Do better! You used to be so good! We won't be coming back. So disappointed!

Mel G.

Yelp
One thing about living in MA/New England is that there is fortunately no shortage of clam shacks and lobster rolls (woohoo). Since there were so many reviews for Arnold's and most of them seemed to be solid, I thought I'd check it out. Unfortunately, it was pretty so-so--both the fried clams (I felt like I could taste more the oil than the clam itself) and the lobster roll--the bun was just... not that great at the price point. And it was pricy. If I am back in the area/at Arnold's, I am making a note to possibly check out their raw bar. But will likely try to check out other eats on the Cape.

Nancy H.

Yelp
THE BEST FRIED SEAFOOD ON THE CAPE. Hands down. I've been living on the Cape my entire life and have tried all of the ones that claim to be the best. Arnold's doesn't claim to be because they don't have to. They just are. It's cash only so come prepared. Sit outside. I love their furthest back dining area right next to the mini golf course. We usually get the seafood platter for 2 which comes with all the goods. Always worth the money. Their fried oysters are my favorite. Everyone raves about the onion rings as well. Their fried lobster is also delicious. Weirdly enough, their beet salad is incredible. The only thing that I don't think is worth it is their clam chowder. It isn't that great. Otherwise, you'll love it all!

Amy S.

Yelp
Pretty good!!! The oysters were amazing at only a $1.00. I opted to get a grilled cheese because I've had a lot of fried food recently.

John S.

Yelp
Best fried seafood. Fried onions are great one order is enough for 2-3 people. If the line is long don't dispear. It's goes quickly

Jeannine O.

Yelp
Big serving of fish and chips. Flaky delicious fish and lots of fries to go with it. Good tartar and special call out to the coleslaw. Apples and cranberries made it sweet and tasty. Oysters were delicious.... Have to come back to $1 oysters and try their ice cream which looked good.

John R.

Yelp
Family was looking for some chowder so we got a gallon ( yes, gallon) of chowder for heating up back at the cottage. Fantastic chowder and honestly the $35 price for a gallon of chowder was reasonable. came in a gallon bag but not really an issue as we heated up half of that for the 8 of us and had a container to put the rest in for the next day. We got as takeout and the service was excellent. Nice clean restaurant and have had their prior and always enjoy.

Gonzalo P.

Yelp
If you want to eat the best shellfish, fried clams, peel and eat shrimp, raw oysters and lobsters, this is your place! We are going there tonight and have not missed coming here for more than 20+ years since coming to Cape Cod. The food is extremely fresh and amazing, but the lines can be really long after 4:30PM. We always forgo lunch when we are coming here to get her early and chow as much as we can. They also have mini-golf, ice cream for the kiddos!! Never, ever disappoints!!

Diane S.

Yelp
Luckily we hit this restaurant before the rush. Short wait in line. When we left, the line was huge. The onion rings were excellent!!! And the portion was huge. Coleslaw very tasty. Fries average. Lobster Roll seemed a bit dry. Was happy for the cup of butter to moisten it up. However the lobster portion was decent. I think I would have been happier with the cold, judging from pictures, but I had a cold roll elsewhere the night before and the butter was calling me. I actually ate the lobster first, ditched the lettuce and dunked the roll in the butter. Friend, not in a seafood mood, ordered a burger. Meh...She didn't feel it was picture worthy. All in all a decent meal, glad the line was short.

Amy L.

Yelp
This place is yesterday's news! We made the mistake of revisiting this place after a number of years. If you are looking for a great lobster roll and really good food go to Sesuit Harbor or the Knack. Save your money and skip this place.

Lindsey R.

Yelp
We stop here every time we're in the cape. The lobster roll is good with big chunks of lobster meat and they serve it hot, which is the only way I'll order it. The fried lobster is good too. The place is cash only. Mini golf and ice cream are all on site - a one stop shop for evening activities. There isn't really service since you order at the window and they call you over the speakers to get your food. The people working there were friendly and helpful!

Jim R.

Yelp
Owner was incredibly rude. Had an issue with the wrong item being served (not what I ordered), was a terrible experience and I could not believe someone who owns the restaurant would treat someone so poorly. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. It used to be a good place to go to but their prices have skyrocketed, the food quality has gone downhill, and the owner (and some - not all), their staff is not appreciative of long time customers. WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK! We have a vacation house less than a mile away and this used to be my go to place. Forget it and moving on to some place better. Look elsewar!

Katie Y.

Yelp
This is THE spot for essential seafood dishes on the cape! Every time I drive up to Provincetown, I have to stop at Arnold's for the perfectly fried seafood platters, freshly shucked oysters, and deliciously frozen drinks. Arnold's has a wide menu and everything is amazing -- you really can't go wrong! The seafood platter for 2 is BIG so usually it is split amongst my family of 4. You do have to pay in cash so make sure to bring with you or use their atm on site!

Stephen J.

Yelp
We went to Arnold's a couple times on our vacation, once to the restaurant and once to the ice cream stand. We enjoyed it both times. The whole belly clams were delicious and the onion rings were thin, crispy, and tasty. The ice cream stand had a nice selection of flavors. All the ice cream we had were great. Too bad we were only there a week.

rob c.

Yelp
Incredible service and delicious food. We were delighted about that because we only came for the mini golf, which we heard was the best on the outer cape. And... the mini golf was awesome!

Savannah C.

Yelp
If you are looking for fresh lobster, this is the place to go! The food is worth the wait. My family and I have been coming here the past 16 years on our vacations. One of our favorite spots for lunch or dinner!

Mark K.

Yelp
Great lobster rolls and the onion rings are very addicting Lots of seafood choices Bring cash!

David K.

Yelp
Been here many times and used to love it but there's so much good seafood on the cape that you can find lots like it.

Jason P.

Yelp
Excellent food. Onion rings are a favorite. The fried seafood is one of the best on the cape! Walk up bar staff is always friendly and fast!

Christy C.

Yelp
This place is right on the bike path. It's very clean and staff was great. I was tired of seafood so I ordered a cheeseburger which was lousy. We got chowder and it was delicious. And now I'm just going to say this - I didn't like the onion rings at all. Too skinny and tangled. They only take cash - and a lot of it. I wish I'd ordered something else. We played mini golf too. Wish we had room to try the ice cream but didn't.

J.Y. K.

Yelp
Really fresh authentic seafood! Was one of our favorite spots on the cape. Really enjoyed trying the fried scallops for the first time!

Paul G.

Yelp
I can't support this business but food was good. Fresh but overpriced seafood and onion rings.

David R.

Yelp
The best fried clam and onion rings recipe Great atmosphere and even a awesome raw bar Just visited 2 times this 2023 season. Clean and Clams were perfectly fried and I'm very picky on fried clams batter being perfect. Tasty awesome onions rings (thin string style which is best) Servings are Great Large Clam & Onion Rings order enough for 2 people

John M.

Yelp
Overpriced, crowded with long lines, boring fried seafood you can get anywhere else on the cape. Eat outside in swarms of bugs while kids scream. Or eat inside with slightly fewer bugs, just as many screaming kids, and strangers an inch away. Also curious, yelp deletes bad reviews of this place. So take that positive rating with a big grain of salt.

Allison C.

Yelp
Arnold's was our first stop in the Cape, and it was perfect! I can't get over how big the stuffed clam was. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was super fresh, and the lobster bisque was great. We came before the line really picked up, but we were impressed with how quickly they got everything out to us. They truly deserve all of their awards and recognitions!

Joe G.

Yelp
Everything was terrific!! Raw bar was cold and fresh and the onions rings were spot on! I have witnessed bad reviews because of the owners political views. Those that post garbage like that are the reason America is in this mess. Place was great!!! I'll be back Thank You

Nina B.

Yelp
Haven't been to the Cape since pre pandemic but used to come every year and Arnold's was definitely our favorite place for a LARGE hot lobster roll. Never disappoints & is one of the best !

Robert C.

Yelp
Great experience overall. If you're busy and in a hurry and not in the mood for ice cream, skip the long hot food line and order food from the oyster bar. Succulent oysters, good boiled shrimp and presumably great clams too. We waited in line to order fish and chips, fried shrimp and clam strip roll. All were excellent. The roll was covered (thought they just gave me a heaping basket of clam strips) the fish was super thick and perfectly flaky and the shrimp were ginormous. After we ordered we got drinks and stuff from the oyster bar while we waited. Hope to return next season!
