Arohaz

"A modern, minimalist-style restaurant located close to the beach which has turned its modest appearance into a real virtue. The focus here is on contemporary cuisine with traditional roots that ticks almost every box on its menu (fish and traditionally caught tuna, Spanish meat, rice dishes etc) and which makes use of the very best ingredients from Cádiz province along with touches of fusion influence. The traditional, country-style croquettes (either ham, or cheese and spinach) are a must, while the attractive guestrooms are an added bonus." - Michelin Inspector

Great and quiet place. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Food in the restaurant super delicious. At the first was a bit confusing with the breakfast, if you are used to hotels-like breakfast, but it was very good and more than enough to start the day :) Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely boutique hotel with only six rooms. Fantastic food and a great pool and garden. Loved it.

Excellent and wide ranging menu, with Spanish classics and some more unusual options too. Very reasonably priced and the service is outstanding. Well chosen wine list, and did I mention the amazing service?? Staff are lovely and extremely helpful. Can't fault it, absolutely top notch.

Went in April 2019. The double room was amazing, very clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant, which was tasty but not really what I expected for the price. With the room rate there was a 5€ breakfast included, which covers you very well for a Spanish breakfast. Overall I enjoyed the stay.

Celebrated my friend Birthday here and thoroughly enjoyed our evening although the menu can be a little confusing. The service was good and as it was the end of the season not to many dinners. There was a sufficient wine list to be able to enjoy some good wines with our meal. We each selected a first course and then all shared which turned out to be a very good idea. I would imagine in the summer that this place will be very busy and should consider booking.

This hotel and restaurant is situated in the tiny village of Zahora in the Cadiz province in Andalusia. We had friends and family staying here during our wedding week (or 2 as it turned out) and all the feedback has been fantastic. We used the restaurant as a meeting point for our guests and consumed many fabulous breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I can honestly say I have experienced some of the best food ever here and can't recommend it enough. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating and the prices were very reasonable for such a high standard. Cocktails and coffee in the pool gardens are a must. Enjoy!

To be brutally honest, we booked this place by accident. We'd intended to go to Zahara and I hadn't realised that this hotel was actually in Zahora until the day before we left for Spain! But everything worked out better than we could have hoped for. Zahora is a sleepy place and predominantly seems to consist of campsites and restaurants for Spanish tourists who are coming for the beach which is about 10-15 minutes walk away. As long as you have a car, there is loads to do nearby. Vejer is an amazing place and only 5 miles up the road. Barbate seems to be a dump but has the most amazing Fish restaurant that I've ever visited and gets foodies travelling from all over Spain. Zahara is just a little further down the Coast and well worth a day. Tarifa and Cadiz are about 60 mins drive away.||||Hotel Arohaz is a very relaxed and quiet place. The pool is a nice place to spend a quiet afternoon. The food was good - menu del dia definitely the highlight - but not quite as good as we'd been expecting from reviews on this site. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well-appointed. Secure parking. Very friendly staff. And very reasonably priced. We would go back if we visited the area again.

Just left Hotel Arohaz today and pleased to say it met our expectations.||||Only 6 rooms (3 face the garden & 3 overlook the little road). We were allocated a room on the roadside, however we asked to stay on the garden side and they switched us with no fuss. Both rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious.||||In the room there are some toiletries and complimentary water, plus an empty fridge which was handy for chilling drinks.||||The back garden was very well maintained. The astroturf lawn was great and the sun loungers very comfy (could do with more than four between everyone). The pool was a decent size bearing in mind it us only a small hotel.||||All the staff we met were very courteous and friendly.||||We ate at the hotel ine evening and were impressed.||||Breakfast is very basic, but gets you started.||||We went down to Sanjarami Beach each evening for sun downers and loved it. There are two bars on the beachfront overlooking the long sandy beach. We thought it was great being the only English speaking people amongst all the locals.||||I really recommend this place and Zahora in general for a chilled out 2 or 3 night stay.
