Strongly recommended. This place is really good.
Our dining-out habit has been in hibernation for the past two years (Surprise!), and we really miss things that we just can't cook ourselves. Lamb, for example. I'm pretty sure that I'm never going to cook lamb in any way, shape or form. Not because I don't like lamb (because I do), but because it's a pricey cut of meat and I lack the time, inclination and money to cook it often enough to be able to cook it really well.
Let's add Indian food into the mix. I actually make a pretty good generic curry, but butter chicken and tikka masala are things that I usually leave to those who make Indian food for a living.
Enter Aroma Indian Cuisine.
We ordered "samosa chat" as an appetizer, and lamb vindaloo and shrimp tikka masala for entrees. All of them were superior.
You might be familiar with samosas, but samosa chat is a couple of samosas that have been lightly mashed and covered with a spicy chickpea curry. Excellent. The lamb vindaloo was similarly great, both spicy hot (as ordered) but also flavorful and cooked just right. As for the shrimp tikka masala, my dining companion said, "This is really, really good." Nuff said. Bonus: The package at pickup looked kind of small for what we'd ordered, but in fact we have leftovers for tomorrow. That's always a plus.
This was our first time to Aroma Indian Cuisine, but I think we're likely to be back in the near future.
