a'Roma Pizza

Usually I love A'Roma pizza. Tonight I ordered pizza and a salad. The pizza was disappointing because there was hardly any sausage on it. We ordered mushrooms on one half but unfortunately several made it to my half of the pizza. I really do not like mushrooms. So hardly any sausage but mushrooms where there shouldn't be was frustrating but not the worst thing. The salad, while it smelled heavily of preservatives, was gross. The lettuce was shredded and it was covered with the cheese and onions I ordered. But under the cheese was brown, slimey lettuce. It was not edible. I have added photos. I don't enjoy giving bad reviews but this needs to be fixed. I cannot imagine how sick we would have gotten had we eaten it.

Not much of a sit-down pizza joint, but they did have enough seating for two small families. We ordered our pizzas to go. When we got home, I was disappointed that I could hardly distinguish what toppings were actually on the pizzas, as you can tell from the photos (everything covered in cheese). As my family ate the pizzas, we were definitely able to tell which toppings were on which pizza. The flavors did NOT disappoint. The Everthing Pizza was full of delicious pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions (we passed on the green olives). The German Pizza was surprisingly delicious with its homemade ground sausage and sauerkraut. The BBQ chicken pizza was superb with just the right amount of red onions and bacon to accentuate the flavor palate. We can see why a'Roma was voted Best Pizza in Fort Wayne for 3 years on a row (2019-2021). The service was a little rough around the edges, but as far as to go is concerned, it was easily overlooked. You should definitely give this place a try.

First and last time having their food. I can't express enough how terrible this experience was and wish I could give zero stars. Taco salad was supposed to have taco sauce with it, we got French dressing. Got a footlong meatball sub and it had four small meatballs, and they were terrible. Rubbery and hard, inedible. And finally, the sausage roll still had raw dough! Looking back at reviews I'm not the only one to experience this. Worst money I've spent in a long time.

I ordered a sausage roll with extra cheese. The roll was a good size but I was really disappointed when I got home to eat it. There wasn't any sauce to it, no cheese in it at all, and I got charged for extra cheese. To be honest, there was no flavor to the sausage. I never thought about it at the time but I should've taken a picture of it and sent it to your website. I'll never spend 15.00 again for that kind of roll again.

It was a stormy day and I couldn’t get out of my car to pick up my order. I was parked behind the restaurant, they were very nice and brought my order out to my car in the pouring rain! My food was dry, hot, and delicious. I thought that this went beyond the level of customer service I expected! A’Roma will get all my business when I want pizza, subs and pizza rolls!!

Honestly you might as well go buy a Jack's pizza from the freezer section. You will save money and get a better pizza. $15 for a cheese pizza from here is absolutely wild. Terrible crust and sauce, barely any sauce anyway. Cheese was fine I guess. Do not recommend.

07_21_23 My girlfriend and I ordered a LG Pepperoni and Banana Pepper pizza. She picked it up it must have been busy inside because she said it a took a minute to get served. Pizza was delicious.🍕🍕🍕🍕👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁. 09_16_2023 I ordered a LG Pepperoni, Banana Pepper, Mushroom and bread sticks it cost about $26.00. Pretty small place inside. Hard to find parking with construction on State Blvd. Pizza and sticks were good.👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁.🍕🍕🍕🍕.

just ordered a pepperoni pizza and they put this many pepperonis on it.... honestly hilarious but come on

the pizza here is fire like no joke my first time trying it was the best pizza I had eaten out of all the pizza I've tried.

This place is an embarrassment. I ordered through DD. It came with nearly 1/4 of the cheese and topping that slide off over the side of the crust. When I did pull a slice, all of the cheese fell off. It excessively greeley. I called to talk to the manager, they refused to come to the phone. So I made my complaint to who.ever called, and he hung up without saying a word. If you are feeling like having pizza stay away from this place. ​​

Not sure why this was compared previously to NY pizza but it isn't close. Ordered sausage onion green pepper and sausage is minced meat. Cheese is very thick and cheap like. Wings hardly any sauce and dry/tough.

I was born in NY and spoiled with amazing pizza all of my youth. This pizza tastes as good as the pizza I grew up with in New York. Aroma and Big Apple are the two legit pizza places in Fort Wayne Indiana. Fort Wayne location, New York taste.

Came here after it was feature on Wane 15 Living Local. I do not recommend trying to dine in here unless it is winter and maybe the even it will be too hot. The do have picnic tables outside though. They do not have AC and the ovens keeps the place hot inside. The pizza was served way too hot. Probably good heat level to survive the trip home to eat but not good if your dining in or eating outside. The pizza flavor was not the best. Beer barrel pizza, Salvatore's, papa John's, and Marcos is all better. I would even include Pizza Hut The place is filled with high schools discussing sex and teen stuff while cooking pizza.

This is an update. I have given this pizza joint two more chances from my first review and each time has been a mega success. We tried the meatza pizza and the boneless wings and I was super impressed. I also tried the pastrami grinder and was blown away by the staggering amount of fresh sliced pastrami and toppings. Both were baked to perfection and both were just as good the next day. The pizza was sooo yummy cold too. Let me tell you I'm not a huge pizza fan but a'romas pizza is by far the best and the only one I like. The next time I tried the bbq chicken pizza along with the sausage roll and again impressed! Far out tasty and huge. The small pizza is more than enough for two and the roll was split three ways.

Pizza is too greasy, the food is WAY over priced, and the taste was sub par at BEST. I don't know how they got pizza of the year 4 years in a row, because I could have made a jacks pizza and it tastes better than this. If you're going to spend this kind of money go to Pizza King down the street won't be cheaper but at least it will be better. Side note. I tried to write a bad review on the Facebook page and they blocked me so no one would see my comment. So here I am. Take constructive criticism and shove it. Maybe it will taste better than your god awful pizza.

I wanted to try a new pizza place for my bday. My husband ordered online. He went to pick up and the pizza was cheese with a side of cheese bread. He said umm I ordered half pepperoni half sausage extra cheese. The shift lead lady said well that's what came through on our end so you're stuck with it. Excuse me?!?!? He said you can have it back I just want what I ordered. She said we don't give out free pizza. You must order again online and pay for another pizza and next time maybe you shouldn't order online. What TERRIBLE customer service!!!!!!! Never have a head of such bad service. I warn everyone to stay away from this joke of a business.

Amazing pizza right here in the 05 baby! Always fast service, and reminds you of a little pizza shop on the corner slinging piping hot amazing pizza! I love the cheese, but will occasionally get the bbq or buffalo chicken pizza. Great vibes here in the 05!

I ordered a 10" Hawaiian pizza, it came fast, great delivery driver and it was hot. The reason for my poor review; This pizzA should have had bbq sauce, it didn't have any sauce at all. The ham that came on the pizza is either spoiled or they're trying to use deli ham as topping. I tried to call and speak with someone regarding the fact that I paid $23 for a crappy small pizza. He proceeded to tell me I was wrong, interrupt me when I tried to speak to him and said "trust me I know what I'm doing" Well, sir. Trust me, I was part owner in a wholesale pizza distribution company for years. I have taught more people about proper quality ingredients and pricing structure than you can imagine, specifically in PIZZA. I also support local businesses all day everyday I will NEVER be back and will make sure every other foodie in Fort Wayne stays clear. To give you an idea, Vito's is more polite.

Disappointing. Finally tried the Original Sausage which comes with "base" cheese. The base-cheese didn't even cover the base. It was at least an inch into the toppings before I touched any cheese. Our crust was also burnt. The sausage was the best part.

Decided for Mother's Day to order pizza for dinner. So we decided to try here. Everything came nice and hot. I liked the everything Pizza but felt the crust was a bit thin. The flavor was great. I decided to order the Philly Cheesesteak pizza out of curiosity and it did not disappoint me. It was super good. The crust again was thin and little on soft side. I like mine hard and thicker. So this might be a matter of preference. There is the option to add more crust so next time I will use that option. The garlic bread was the best. It was super good. My son said one of the best he ever had and he knows his garlic bread. So yes great place to order from but if you don't like super thin soggy crust use the add crust so that way it can support the toppings. Garlic bread is a must! Use Uber Eats they deliver for them.

We ordered a large thin crust pepperoni and sausage pizza on a Thursday evening. We was told it would be a 40 minute wait. When we picked up the pie it was cold- was probably ready sooner than 40 minutes and was sitting getting cold. Strike 1. The crust is definitely floppy and not a crispy thin crust. Also tasted like pre-made, purchased crust. Strike 2. The sausage was made in house (so they say) & it reminded me of elementary school lunchroom sausage pizza. Zero flavor. Strike 3 The pizza was dry & needed more sauce as well. We live in this neighborhood & was hoping to find a new go-to spot since Acme closed its doors. This ain't it

Growing up on a'Roma Pizza I set the bar high when I ordered a Stromboli & ham & cheese during their soft launch on 9/30. IT WAS EXACTLY AS I REMEMBER! Cant wait to get our family favorite sausage & mushroom pizza! So glad they are back! They load up the fine ground homemade sausage & cheese. Support local! Ti Amo! Update: grabbed a sausage roll on the way into work on 10/6 @1:15p. FABULOUS!!!!!!!

I used the food truck for my son's graduation party. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was great and service was fantastic!

We had aRoma for the first time last week. Overall the pizza was tasty and the family liked it. We also ordered the Dough Nuts as an appetizer, they were really good but for $7 I expected to get more than 4 small dough balls. They could easily double the amount and still make plenty of money. It's dough and a little oil and Parmesan.

FINALLY!! A pizza place that puts enough damn cheese on the pie! Delicious crust and sauce, quick delivery, and friendly delivery person. This is what pizza used to be before we got into a world with fake cheese and crap service.

Pizza was pricey for the 12 inch everything pizza, but flavor was great. We asked for square cut and did not get it. Also we thought the pie could have cooked a little longer. The middle of the pizza was floppy af. We don't bitch, we love food. We keep it real to make businesses better! We will give a 2nd try. We smashed it but we keep it real.

My husband and I stopped and tried their wings for the first time and they were so good that we decided to go back a few days later and it was garbage. They used several day old wings covered in pepper we saw them take out of the walk in for our order half cooked already right in front of us. They were soggy even though we ordered them extra extra crispy, and they tasted horrible!!! My husband called and talked to the manager, and she was rude admitted they were re-heated, and that the few wings we did manage to eat wouldn't be refunded. Then wanted us to drive 30+ minutes back along with the food we didn't eat to calculate what our refunded amount would be. Extremely Inconvenient. Rude. Very Inconsistent. We will NOT be coming back, and the manager made sure to let us know she basically didnt care before she hung up on him.....

I'm a cook both by training and experience and I was wholly disappointed with the 12" supreme pizza. Looked like they just diced a bunch of ingredients and threw them on the crust. No love or finesse. Worst pizza I've had in years.

Gross Greasy and EXPENSIVE! It was not at all a good idea. Should've believed the bad reviews. The good ones must have been written by friends/family.

A little too much cheese for me and a bit runny, but overall very good taste. The thin crust was crispy and just right. I would have it again.

An ad showed up on facebook last night that with a coupon code the pizza was on sale 33% off. I put in the code and the total it said I owed was $13.01. I ordered last night for pickup today, when i got there he said it was $19(something) i told him their ordering site said it would be $13.01. He said, yeah, thats a glich we're working on! I told him his tip i was going to give him was in the higher than quoted price. We dont live very far away but even though i pizza was good, i wont be back. Even though it was only $6.00 they should have honored the price i agreed on when i clicked buy now.

Completely disgusted with the service I got. My pizza was completely destroyed when it got here. On top of that, the pizza was very inconsistent. Might have been from the handling of the delivery, but the pieces that were intact didn't taste very good. You're better off getting delivery from papa johns, dominos, or Pizza Hut. They took an hour to deliver me the worse pizza I have ever tasted. David Portnoy would be so disappointed.

Not sure really how the pizza tasted. Got it delivered and it was a complete mess. Everything on top was slid right to one side of the box. I have never in my life had such crap.

I had noticed this place reopening thru FB, and was anxious to try it out. They did not disappoint, our pizza and sausage roll was excellent. Dine in consists of two booths, so maybe ordering to go is best option. Parking lot is extremely small in rear of building, so be mindful of parking in other lots close by, they all have signs warning of towing your car if not a patron.

Excellent pizza, wonderful crust and plenty of toppings. Mostly a takeout place but they do have a couple of tables there.

I've driven by for years and never thought much about it. But my sister started raving about their pizza and sausage rolls, so I ordered a simple one topping pizza. Freaking delicious! The sauce has great flavor, the crust is perfect and the cheese is melted on top and crunchy (in a delicious way) on the edges. I went back the next day for more...

I just moved back to the Fort from Boston. I was lucky enough to live right by the North End, Boston's Little Italy where I had awesome Italian food a short walk away. When I got back I went to A'Roma and will be back and back! Sauce incredible, crust perfect and cheese was proportioned well! Ft. Wayne has some great pizza options but A'Roma is hands down the most authentic and the best!

This is the place your Dad takes you when you're a kid. I love Aroma Pizza! Get extra cheese, extra sauce, double sausage and you'll be so happy. Man is it good, like when I was a kid and Dad would take me. Like the old school Oleys from back in the day the ghetto location.

More of a review of Grub Hub. Don't use them. Didn't follow directions text (I'm in a multi unit house) and just dumped the pizza on my neighbors step without knocking or anything.

Found this amazing spot on the hunt for the best pizza in Fort Way e! This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint! When I picked it up (which they filled my order SO fast!), it was hands down the heaviest pizza I've ever had! The crust was just thick enough without adding too much dough to the pizza, the sauce was thick with an amazing tomato flavor, and all the toppings were fresh and they loaded this baby down! They do not skimp on the toppings which I appreciate! You have to check this place out!

Brought back from the dead like Lazarus, I thought it had to be a mistake when I pulled it up on Yelp. Especially since it was in the same location as when I was a kid. But it's back! And it's just as amazing as it was when I was a kid. It really brings back some tasty memories.

I LOVE this place! For pizza and for sausage rolls the best. I always get delivery and always add mushrooms and green olives to my pizza and sausage rolls. Pricing fair. Staff is friendly. Deliveries are prompt and drivers the best. Highly recommend this place.

These guys really know their way around dough. Great tasting pizza, very friendly. Great recipes, if you have not yet definitely give them a try. You'll keep coming back

Great customer service. I ordered via grub hub and my order was not as placed. Called the restaurant and the man who answered was kind and receptive. I only live blocks away, so he had one of his guys drop a new pizza off 20 min later. Thank you so much!!!

Wanted to try this place for the first time. Cheese was slid off to the side and the what couldn't be fresh made crust was completely soggy. Very disappointing

Grabbed this pizza on the way out of town from a volleyball tournament. Just got the plain cheese pizza and it seriously hit the spot - super cheesy and delicious. Definitely not fancy but exactly what we wanted.

Your online ordering system is crap. For the second time in a month my order pick up time has been changed to an hour later without notifying me. If not for checking over my pick up email id of had no clue. I understand places get busy but this is absolutely absurd. PS: id of addressed this on the phone if the person i spoke to sounded like they remotely cared

This was one of my favorite pizza joints when I was young, and I remembered being devastated when it closed. Just recently found out that the place has reopened, and I can confirm that it is EXACTLY as I remember it! My preference is the original style - cheese on the bottom - it is a bit messy, but the taste is worth it. I hesitate to say they have the best sausage pizza in town, as I'm a big fan of a number of the local pizza places, but it is certainly one of the best. Please support these guys - we need more locally owned options, and this place is terrific. Need to try the "cheezus crust" - it is very simple, but surprisingly delicious! So glad this place is back, and it is better than ever!
