Middle age gut, middle age gut, growing each day in my lap, who makes the best onion rings to help. Keep me fat? The answer I gut said is a beautiful café with outdoor seating and some of the friendliest most polite service you can expect to find in a place where it does not come in. The menu is incredible, but you will fix it only on the appetizer because today you will taste an onion ring that although will continue to make you fatter, you won’t care anymore because it is so delicious and the sauces that they provide are also incredible but you need to come back because there are so many different items featured from around the world and the salads? It’s it’s time to go but those items go for a better budget today. We’re just doing the most delicious onion rings I’ve ever had in my life. Thank God for middle Aged and happy to be heavy! Next up! Cheese sticks!

Had a great experience great service 👍 yummy food choices come check it out

Great Mediterranean cafe. I've only eaten inside because I didn't like dining where anyone is smoking. The patio has nice fires and people smoking hookahs. Inside the restaurant there are regular tables and booths, better for regular dining. The food is yummy and the portions are large. There are lots of salads to choose from, sandwiches, egg dishes, vegetarian food, more traditional meat items, and hamburgers. There is both dairy and meat on the menu, it's not kosher.

Google
I was disappointed the food was not good. The burger was soggy and way too big. You can barely pick it up. The fries they show on the menu they don’t have. Overall, it was not good. Also, the sweet and sour chicken wrap was not good either. We didn’t bother finishing.

Google
There are so many options in the menu, so I got 2 completely different types of dishes. It was not good. None of it, unfortunately. $100 later and leftovers that we threw away. Bummer. Server disappeared during the meal for over 20 min, didn't get my mom's wine and wouldn't refill water, another waiter had to.

Google
Aroma, to me is a hidden gem located on the cusp of West Hollywood and Hollywood! It gives off fancy diner but casual cafe! Food is phenomenal and staff is friendly! Ran into this place cause it was one of few restaurants open on Christmas Day! Staff was friendly and welcoming! They have a nice patio, haven’t dined inside but will do in the future. Menu has wide variety mostly American and Mediterranean influence! They have great breakfast and lunch choices as well as dinner plates! A full bar If needed and some well NA beverages as well. One thing especially about this place is they don’t skim you out of your meal, this place gives you the portions for what it is!

Google
Aroma Sunset Bar and Grill was a disappointment. The food/dessert was tasteless and the presentation of drinks and food was very poor. Filter coffee ❄️ and the service was not good and the staff was disinterested. The prices definitely did not reflect the quality. Smoking was forbidden while hookah was allowed, which was a strange rule. The only positive thing was being in the cafe at the same time as Pamela Anderson! I don't think I will go again.

Google
The view was beautiful, the cocktails were strong, and the atmosphere was great for a chill evening. Unfortunately, my phone battery didn’t survive the sunset—and there were no charging options available at all. I missed out on capturing some amazing golden hour shots and couldn't even call my ride afterward. With so many modern venues now offering rentable portable chargers, I was surprised Aroma didn’t have anything available. Definitely a missed opportunity to elevate the guest experience. Hope they consider adding this soon.

Yelp
My favorite! Great food for breakfast and lunch. Love the garden seating out back making it a wonderful meet up place for a Sunday brunch. Long lines but it goes fast.

Yelp
I'm sad to say this but this used to be my favorite restaurant. I've come the last 2 times and the quality has been getting worse and worse. Quality and flavor went down and prices went higher. Way too expensive for what you get. We got Shakshuka and it lacked flavor majorly, kabob wrap... the kabob was dry. Hummus and sweet potato fries are still good. We got a side of hummus and it was 7$ for a side! All together without tip it was 63$ That's for shakshuka, kebob wrap with sweet potato substitute, side of hummus, and a mint lemonade. Sadly won't be coming back.

Yelp
Before I start my review, I would like to mention to everyone to make sure to give the car to valet rather than park on the streets when going to Aroma, as my car got broken into in the hour that I was there and parked on the side N Vista Street. Other than that, Aroma is a childhood staple for me. Growing up and going to school in Hollywood, this was a spot for my friends and I to hangout at almost every day after school to enjoy some of their amazing fresh baked to order chocolate soufflé and some tea. I continue this tradition to this day, and always stop by for more of their soufflé when I'm in the area. The employees are great, the owner is present 99% of the time, and is walking around and serving customers as well, and it's always just a pleasant environment. Definitely a must visit spot for all their foods and deserts.

Yelp
I attended a large birthday dinner here (30+ people). They seemed to accommodate the large party very well with reserved tables. They even allowed the host to decorate the tables and space in the back with birthday decorations and balloons. It's a semi-outdoor type of arrangement. Unfortunately, they don't seem to use A/C so it was extremely hot! Everyone was sweating excessively which was a bit uncomfortable. I would not recommend visiting during the summer if you're sensitive to heat. The menu is really big! I ordered a steak sandwich. It was a massive portion which included a cucumber and tomatoes medley and fries. If you don't have a huge appetite it's perfect to share. The sandwich was lacking flavor and freshness. I don't think there was any sauce on it, if there was I didn't even notice. It was a bit dry. But overall the staff was really kind and accommodating.

Yelp
Very cool patio and nice indoor dining area too. Cool spot to grab a bite or even get lit on sunset blvd. The pizza bagels here are delicious and the spread in general looked solid. I'd definitely come back here to hang

Yelp
It took a while for the server to take it order. Once she did the order came fast except for the kids pizza. We were almost done eating and or daughter for up to the server and she said the pizza was coming. We finished our meal and still no pizza. So I went up and I asked them when the pizza is coming and then they said 1 minute. And then a few minutes later it was delivered. No apology was made. Also the waitress never came by to check on us to find out that we were missing the pizza. Afterwards I had a physically get up and request the check and had a physically get up again to pay the check. I would have expected the pizza to be removed from the bill. There was no accommodation made for the fact that the young girl got her pizza so late. I will definitely not be back to this place

Yelp
Great ambiance. Tasty food, large and generous portions. Server was outstanding! Our favorite restaurant in LA!!

Yelp
I enjoy Aroma's food, friendly service and local vibe. The menu is extremely long, which is usually a red flag for me. However, after a few visits, I can attest that despite an ambitious menu, Aroma can and does back it up. The food is enjoyable but not exceptional, making it an overall decent place to grab a nice meal. The portions are generous and there's something for everyone.

Yelp
Something quick and easy to eat. Not impressed with the burger. The hummus dip platter was good - pita bread and dips were flavorful. Great service and ambiance.

Yelp
Aroma Bar and Grill, also known as Aroma Cafe, stands out as the ultimate destination just off Sunset. The establishment boasts stunning LED lights that elevate the ambiance to an extraordinary and truly relaxing level. My routine often involves starting with a hookah before my meal, although I must admit that while the cost is a bit steep, the hookah attendants excel in their packing expertise. There is room for improvement, however, as the attentiveness of the hookah attendants sometimes falls short of expectations. On occasions, seating arrangements place patrons in the hookah area even if they aren't partaking, resulting in the annoyance of unwanted smoke drifting from neighboring hookahs. This can be especially bothersome when you're not participating in the smoking experience yourself. Turning to the culinary offerings, Aroma does not disappoint. I find myself consistently drawn to the Steak Sandwich, Kabob Plate, or various Shawarma options. Their hummus is undeniably excellent, although I must admit that their cucumber salad falls a bit short in comparison. While the prices lean towards the higher side, they are well-justified for a celebratory night out. The convenience of valet service enhances the dining experience, and the majority of servers exhibit mediocre vigilance, ensuring a satisfactory visit. It's worth noting that Aroma has become a popular hotspot among the Russian and Armenian communities in the vicinity, contributing to a lively and bustling atmosphere. For those venturing to dine in Hollywood, I wholeheartedly recommend Aroma Bar and Grill. Positives: Delectable cuisine, commendable service, impressive hookah offerings Negatives: Slightly on the expensive side, occasional lapses in server attentiveness, high volume of patrons

Yelp
THE BEST MEDITERRANEAN SPOT IN TOWN!! Very authentic cuisine that bursts with flavor in every bite. Nothing on the menu disappoints. The ambiance is very classy and spacious indoor/outdoor area. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. I definitely recommend to family and friends when they're in town and want a fulfilling delicious meal :)
google avatar

Jordynn B.

Yelp
The owner is very welcoming and accommodating. I also love the servers. The salmon was amazing, the fried rice was good but it was a lot. The dish is mainly rice. The soufflé platter is 10000/10. Just as I imagined. I really want to try here on a weekend day. I went on a Thursday night and it was more of a family vibe. I went with 16 friends and we got a cool private spot in front. It is a safe area. The only thing I would change is to have music playing. A big reason why I chose here was cause of the music I heard of but maybe cause it was a week day.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza from Aroma last night, through the Slice app. I'm posting this review so that no one else makes the same mistake. I ordered a pizza with half plain cheese and half mushroom, with extra sauce. I received a pizza with mushrooms on both halves, very little sauce. The sauce that was there was bland and sad. The crust was similarly bland, sad, and not crispy. Imagine the worst frozen pizza you've ever had, or the pizza they served in your grade school cafeteria--it was like that. In fact, the pizza served at my daughter's grade school cafeteria is slightly better than this! My daughter is 8 years old and even she thought it was lousy! She kept picking things off until there was nothing left to remove. She was left with a few drops of sad sauce and the sub-Costco crust. It genuinely seemed like they simply weren't trying at all. Why even sell pizza if you're not even gonna try? We got a Caesar salad on the side--it was very basic, but perfectly good. The lettuce and croutons were crispy and fresh. In fact, the dressing was quite good--nice and garlicky with a rich anchovy flavor--and certainly the most flavorful item in our whole order. But as far as the pizza, please learn from my mistake and order from one of the thousand other pizza places in the neighborhood; they can't be any worse than this

Yelp
Great location and ambiance! A little pricey but what's cheap nowadays? I say it's definitely worth it! Must try this place.

Yelp
I had a really great experience at Aroma. My friend suggested it for a late lunch/early dinner. We got there around 5:30 and left 9:30! I don't think I've ever spent so much time at a restaurant. Overall, parking was really easy, our waitress was patient with us (the menu was huge so it took awhile for us to decide) and the ambience is nice especially outside on the patio. The food and drinks were delicious we split a lot of it but my favorite was the sangria (5/5). Great portion and very tasty. Then we got sweet potato fries (3/5), sunrise wrap, pasta with salmon and pasta with chicken. The pastas were delicious and filling. You will most likely have leftovers coming home with you. The pastas though were the highlights. We also got thee soufflé trio and as a first timer It was pretty good. Thanks aroma, I'll be back! I had a great time.

Yelp
Visited a few times, always busy though. Good food and service and good variety on the menu. Great for large parties.

Yelp
The absolute worst Service, Food!!! So my friend and I pull into the parking lot gave the keys to the valet-parks the car UP THE HILL. We are seated, waiter finally arrives takes the drink order, waiter never comes back. Have to flag the waiter numerous times finally comes to the table, takes the order, my friend salmon salad, I order shawarma on pita, comes with French fries and salad. I ask for ketchup and a side of tzatziki which the waiter promptly brought to the table. Food arrives in a prompt manner after that NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Shawarma was suppose to be on pita, not a roll. WAITER NEVER COMES BACK-TO CHECK ON FOOD, TO REFILL DRINKS, DOESN'T BUSS THE TABLE , ASK FOR COFFEE-DESERT!! DOESN'T EVEN BRING THE CHECK- I HAVE TO GO GET IT!! ANTONIO YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!! It even gets better VALET has a few cars ahead of mine so we have to wait-ok. Then the truck isn't moving stalled out. then the valet tells me my car is at the top of the hill I'M SUPPOSED TO GO GET IT! MY FRIEND IS 82 YEARS OLD WITH A CANE!! I TOLD HIM NO TO BRING THE CAR DOWN FINALLY GET MY CAR AND HE LEAVES THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCKED. I ASK AT HIM TO OPEN THE DOORS AND HE IGNORS ME. AVOID THE PLACE AT ALL COSTS IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Friendly service, good Mediterranean food, a good place for a quick meal with lots of veggies across from our hotel on Sunset.

Yelp
Good food, but service is not that good! Prices went up so high recently! They gotta fix the service issue asap

Yelp
Food was good, service was good too. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Reason I put 4 star it was a bit on pricey side.

Yelp
friendly and competent service, good food - overall a very nice experience right off sunset blvd

Yelp
Fast service , amazing food and a friendly staff. definitely will be coming back and recommending this spot.

Pat C.

Yelp
Everything is made to order and I liked the variety of choices on their menu. Their Mango salad is fantastic and the service is nice as well; I didn't feel rushed at all, I was able to stay for a while and try some of their desserts. Their prices are average for the area and the place seems very casual.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
First time visiting this spot yesterday night (a Tuesday night). Valet parking is $5 and they only accept cash. Luckily, there's an ATM inside the restaurant. The food here was very average. The chicken sandwich was very simple and plain. The sliders were decent. The side of fruit tasted like it has been sitting out for a really long time. The chocolate soufflé was good. Overall, the food was very average. The hookah was about $40 and they offer a variety of flavors. My friends got the watermelon flavor which they really enjoyed. Service was quick and good. The location is right on the street so you do see some interesting people walking back and forth if you chose to sit outside. Overall, I don't recommend coming here for food. It's more for hookah and drinks.

Yelp
WARNING: REVIEW UR BILL FOR RANDOM CHARGES Anytime a business does shady things I call them out on it! I came here for the 2nd time and was so surprised by the restaurant's desire to up charge their guests without rhyme or reason. After our meal, the bill arrives and there is an order for an iced drink we never ORDERED (a coffee drink of some sorts) and a $2 up charge on my very plain and simple chicken sandwich. I asked 2 different servers why is it $21 instead of the advertised $19 and both said it is because I chose the French baguette bread. Mind you this is one of the options on the menu. IT LITERALLY SAYS: Served with your choice of chibatta or baguette bread. There is no asterisk, no up charge indication NOTHING! First off a $19 chicken sandwich is a bit on the pricy side for me but hey, I chose to order it and I chose to eat here. Fine! I don't tell businesses how to set their prices but what I will make a stink about is the odacity to secretly charge extra for a bread choice that was clearly on the menu and tack on a phantom drink we never ordered. Either this is a way for the servers to change prices and hope their patrons don't catch the higher bill so they can get better tips or the restaurant's way of squeezing more money from diners to offset their costs. Either way, this was shady and very unethical. I gave 2 stars because our waitress was actually super friendly and very accommodating. The ambiance was good as well. The food... Well it was overpriced and just ok. I hope the owner is reading this!

Yelp
Rude manager. Terrible service. Disgusting food. Don't ever order filet mignon, it's horrible raw s*it!

Yelp
Came in last minute with a group to eat a late dinner and smoke hookah. The establishment is large with a relaxed vibe - cute and great place to chat and smoke. We sat outside on the patio. Extremely large selection of menu items to choose from like Cheesecake Factory, but with an Israeli twist. Hookah was $39 starting- we got watermelon mint- it wasn't best I've ever had a little less smooth than I would like but she tried to fix it and gave great service- may have just been who made it- I still enjoyed hit the spot for what I wanted. I Ordered: -The sweet potato salad with a side of salmon. The salad was large and great for sharing and flavored well I dressed it with lemon instead of balsamic. The salmon was cooked perfect and I was pleasantly surprised. -the fudge chocolate cake with ice cream - wow was soo good The food ended up being better than I expected and would love to try other menu items in the future - the other people I was with were happy also. The paninis look great, I will order next time. Lovely staff and they include 15% so I added more bc of the great service. Thank you

Yelp
Everything is good, food, staff and the location. But Ashely is exceptional: She has amazing smile from heart to all guests, she is watching and keeps her eye on each table to know if guests need something, she is doing great. Thanks Ashley. That was an excellent experience for me, definitely will come back.
google avatar

Yuliyana B.

Yelp
That's my favorite place to grab some food. Every dish I have tried is very delicious. The best place to eat in Hollywood and West Hollywood.
google avatar

Bailey C.

Yelp
Yummy yummy! I drive past here alll the time and have been meaning to stop in. This afternoon we finally did.. I wish I caught my servers name, he was amazing!! We just grabbed a quick bite for lunch but enjoyed the lovely patio views. Service was awesome and food was fresh and delicious. We will be back for a proper dinner soon:)
google avatar

Yelp
I've been at this restaurant few times and it's always been a time experience. The vibe is always good. They have good food, drinks (full bar), hookah and dessert. Their hookah is good and the employees always check to make sure everything is good at the table. Our waitress Lola was the best. She was super friendly and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and had good recommendations for food. Thank you Lola. The restaurant is walk in only, no reservations needed. Depending on the time you arrive you may have to wait depending on your group size. Masks are required to entire the restaurant only. No Covid vaccination needed. They have valet parking for $5.

Yelp
A Sunset staple! Had a nice quiet lunch here but this place is always lively in the evening. Parking is convenient and a lot of cool places to check out nearby. Food was excellent and service was extremely prompt and friendly. Will for sure make this a place to entertain out of town guests from now on.
google avatar

Moshe A.

Yelp
Our waitress Kelly was amazing!! The food arrived quickly. We ordered the Asian Fusion- really good dish. Also the batata extravaganza is recommended dish . Love the seats outside and view to the Main Street on Sunset ! Valley parking is 5$
google avatar

Reschelle M.

Yelp
I only come here for the hummus tuna shawarma. It is absolutely delicious. It comes with pita bread and it's really all you need as it's enough to fill you up. I also love the soufflé sampler. It's like 3 desserts in one!
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
Perfectly located in my neighborhood. I've been meaning to come here with my friend who happens to be my neighbor, but we've been patronizing our local bar just a few steps away. My nieces came to visit me recently and we ended up here for lunch. There weren't too many people as it was a weird time - shortly before 3pm so there wasn't much of a crowd. Typically, the place is super crowded when I pass by at night. We got a bunch of random stuff to share. The kids loved what they got. My favorite was the hummus. The service was a little disappointing. Our server was nice, but our drinks were forgotten. Also, everything we ordered came out all out of order. We also had to keep asking for a bunch of things that should've all already been on our table like napkins and utensils.
google avatar

Donna C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! We were very lucky to come across a nice restaurant that was open on Thanksgiving. Open outdoor seating with above head heaters, friendly staff and menu with a wide variety from chicken wings to pita bread pizza. My husband tried the pizza begal sandwich and I had the Mediterranean meal which was delicious. We sat at the bar earlier in the day and were served by a very nice bartender who kept an eye on our drinks.
google avatar

Anabel G.

Yelp
My first time visiting! It was about 9 or 10pm on a Friday and the place was packed! We waited a good 25-30 minutes before we were finally seated. Pretty good burger and fries! Burger was very well-seasoned and the fries were too. I think the thing I least appreciated about the plate was the salad, but that's mainly about preference since I don't like cucumbers and that's what it was primarily comprised of. The spicy cocktail I ordered was actually spicy! Finally, a drink that didn't hold back! Haha.
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
I'm a few years in, and still really admire Aroma. Good food, good service. Just be careful with confusing opening times - right now, Google says 11am, the restaurant website says noon. They actually open 11.30am each day. (Yelp is correct in this regard). Otherwise, top marks all round.
google avatar

Neda O.

Yelp
The soufflé was so good. I would come all the way to LA just to taste it again. I heard the food is amazing too
google avatar

Jason E.

Yelp
I live local to this place and I've been coming to this place off and on for at least 6 years. The food is always great, but the staff, always horrible. If it's such an inconvenience to do the job, then get a new one. At least these shitty employees with attitudes wouldn't keep giving the restaurant such a bad name. They've been trying to really crack since day one. For goodness sake I hope they do a casting call and replace the bartenders for sure. Maybe they'd get a crowd inside at the bar instead of only business on the patio or to-go.
google avatar

Brittany R.

Yelp
I like this place. I honestly come just for the food, I'm not a hookah person. I've ordered multiple items on their menu and everything is usually delicious. I had the pesto penne pasta with salmon, chicken breast meal and tiramisu. Sorry, I have no food pics to post. There's usually a long wait to be seated outside, but if you're not interested in the hookah, you get seated quickly inside

Yelp
Fantastic food Nice big patio And very large menu We Did eat there more then 20 time

Laura N.

Yelp
Random trip to Hollywood and took a walk to find some local food. This place is great!!! Good so good and fresh. Fast and kind service. Definitely coming back. Love the look of the restaurant also. Super extensive menu, something for everyone!! The beef cigars were so delicious! Suggest ordering their homemade hot sauce and mixing it with the Tahini. DELICIOUS
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
I'm so lucky this restaurant is in my neighborhood. I've been there four times in a week! The menu is out of this world amazing for someone who doesn't eat meat! Options galore. Also a ton of options for meat eaters. The staff is nice but the food is why I continue to go! Their avocado egg rolls are my favorite so far. I've had them twice. Their veggie burger is pretty good too! I love their hummus plates. Incredible options for a vegan and or vegetarian. I highly recommend! It's a little pricey but worth it. I can tell the ingredients are so fresh!
google avatar

Yelp
Very unprofessional establishment. The owner comes up to me and my friend and asks us to move tables after we've been smoking hookah and eating our dinner for at least an hour and moves us to a table with way less heat (it's freezing out btw). He then tells us that he will take care of us for the inconvenience. Once we're done eating, all we're offered is a dessert. WE DON'T WANT DESSERT!!! So all he offered to do was take gratuity off. You literally moved us to a colder table after we were already comfortable. So annoying.
google avatar

Yula K.

Yelp
Been here a few times and each time is slightly disappointing experience. Usually come for breakfast or brunch. Food is bland and overly expensive. Nothing very memorable. Did hookah here once too and they could not get our hookah to work well. Frustrating experience.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Aroma Bar on a Tuesday Night for the first time. The food was amazing. On top of that we were so shocked with the portion size lol it was so much food. We didn't expect that they give out such huge portion. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. So keep in mind the main course is perfect to share with 2 people. Overall, such a good experience.
