13 Flavor-Packed Destinations for Ceviche in Miami

"Aromas del Peru has a portion of its menu entirely dedicated to ceviche, with a barra ceviche (ceviche bar) of nine iterations ranging from traditional to nikkei compositions. Standouts include the ceviche citric made with tuna, salmon, lobster, and shrimp, which is enveloped in a citrus tiger’s milk made with orange, lime, and passion fruit and served with plantain chips." - Juliana Accioly

Google
Awesome food! Wish they had this place up north where I live. Each time I go to Miami, I always look forward going to Aromas del Peru. This is my first time at this location (as they have a few) but the service/food at this location doesn’t disappoint. The service is on point. They don’t over or under do it like some restaurants. The food is consistent at this location as it was at the other location in homestead. I would highly recommend going to this place. It would be a real surprise if you left the restaurant anything other than extremely satisfied.

Google
Great location, service, and quality of the food! My family and I came here for a birthday lunch and had a great experience. Jesus took care of us and made sure the service was excellent! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back

Google
Celebrated my birthday at Aromas De Peru coral gables . Had an amazing experience from entering till the end . I had Toshiro cocrante and ceviche classico . Quick service and amazing food . Our server Patricia was very attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Google
We had a wonderful dining experience at Aromas del Perú! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic Peruvian flavors that truly impressed us. But what made our visit extra special was the exceptional service we received from Julio. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Julio made great recommendations and checked on us regularly to make sure everything was perfect. His warm and professional attitude really elevated our experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and hope to be seated in Julio’s section again!

Google
Amazing Peruvian Cuisine and Outstanding Service!. I had an incredible experience dining here. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was bursting with flavor. Our server, Antonio and the rest of the staff made the experience even more special.

Google
We had a fantastic dining experience at Aromas del Peru in Coral Gables. The Peruvian food was exceptional—each dish full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. We tried the Trilogy, the risotto, the whole fried pargo, and of course, a classic pisco sour. Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the pargo which was crispy on the outside and tender inside. What made the evening even more memorable was the excellent service from Patricia. She was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations and ensuring we had a perfect experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a true taste of Peru paired with great hospitality and ambiance.

Google
Delicious food , authentic Peruvian food, loved every dish , enjoyed trying different flavors. The aji verde sauce was a delish, we even bought sauce to go (container to go). Top service, Lyanna was very attentive and friendly . Will definitely come back .

Google
We came hungry and left extremely satisfied. The service. The food. Even the Dominican lady, bus lady was wonderful. Super friendly. The waitor Antonio knew his stuff. From recommendations of dishes to his hospitality. EXCELLENT.

Yelp
Never heard of this place but was excited to try their lomo saltado. Unfortunately, the meat was chewy and not in a good way. I was underwhelmed by the meal. However, everything else was great! I was there for a birthday and there was approximately 25 of us. I was worried the food would take forever to cook after ordering but to my surprise the food came out super quick! The drinks were yummy as well and came out with a cool bubbling effect. I wish I would've ordered the churrasco because the piece I tried from my boyfriend's meal was soooooo flavorful and cooked to perfection. Overall, I'd come back to try something else from the menu. The front desk staff was friendly and truly cared about you.

Yelp
We accidently came across this restaurant and what a great place this is. Fantastic food, amazing service and great ambiance. We are definitely coming back!

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance are usually good recently. Parking is readily available on main street (Ponce) or side ones. We had an 5:30p sunday dinner here on a very rainy day, the place was not very full at the time. The hyped dry ice red sangria left much to be desired in taste, price i recommend staying away from this smoking red wine. I had the Corvina a la Plancha (on the Grill) with vegetables, natural mash potatoes and delicious for the record there over a 1000 species of Peruvian potatoes available we also had a chicken chaufa which does not disappoint. Tips are voluntary but here for 2 persons the server automatically added 18% to the bill without our consent not cool, how bout if i wanted to tip lower, higher or even 0? Just gives the impression server was desperate for money.

Yelp
Food was excellent, we had the ají de gallina, causa de pollo, one of the ceviches and lúcuma cheesecake . Food was perfectly prepared and the presentation was too. Great the atmosphere and our server (sorry forgot his name) was great! Will definitely return next time we are in Miami.

Yelp
First night in Miami and we end up in Coral Gables for Peruvian food. Armoas Del Peru was a nice spot...reminded me of a late 90s fancy spot. Nothing super modern, but bright, vibrant...kinda what I expected for a Miami restaurant. With some cuisines, I have a test and for Peruvian food, it's their Lomo Saltado. My first time having Peruvian was Mario's in Hollywood and their Lomo Saltado set a standard. So I had to order it here. We also got a mixed appetizer plate. Our host was speaking to the waiter in Spanish so I had no clue as to how the conversation went, but this dish came out. And the ceviche here was amazing! I've never seen it in a milky/citric marinade and it was just so good. I feel like I'll have to use the ceviche here as my standard when comparing against other ceviche. The lomo saltado was a little different than I'm used to. At every other spot I've had this, the potatoes and the proteins were all mixed together, with either the rice served separately or on the side, Here, the potates and protein were separated. The sauce was also thicker than I'm used to, almost like a gravy. It wasn't bad at all and I did enjoy it, but after eating this, I do realize the preference is a thinner gravy. We didn't ask for it, but I didn't see any aji sauce anywhere. I usually have aji with my lomo to help give it some heat and flavor. Overall, solid Peruvian food here but I think Mario's (and Natalie's) in LA win for their lomo saltado.

Yelp
Came in last Sunday for lunch. Our server, Yao, was an absolute sweetheart, super friendly and made us feel right at home. It was a bit loud since there was lots of families (and babies) enjoying lunch but the food and service makes up for it. We started off with their classic ceviche, and it was seriously amazing. Fresh, with the right amount of spice, and packed with flavor. For mains, I went all in for the lomo saltado and my boyfriend went for the fried snapper. Both really good. Yao had our backs the whole time, making sure we were well taken care of. So, if you're in the mood for some great Peruvian eats and amazing customer service, Aromas del Peru is where it's at.

Yelp
This is a consistent experience on Service, Food Quality & Taste as well as a positive ambiance. The Pulpo a la parrilla is delightful with its side corn and cheese. The Seafood Chaufa rice is delicious, with lots of seafood and big. The Pisco Sours are the Real Thing. Thanks Jose I. We appreciate the caring service.

Yelp
I've eaten here multiple time and it's always been a great experience. This last visit unfortunately was disappointing. Our sever, although very polite and nice, did not tell us anything about the specials. I had to hear it from another waiter when it was too late. The food was not the best this time. I had the Corvina a lo Macho, way too much sauce and salt. We also had Lomo Saltado but unfortunately the meat was a bit hard, did not seem to be lomo. The Pisco Sour was really good.

Yelp
Ideal for a date night, especially on a Saturday when it wasn't crowded--a major plus for me as I prefer not being seated at a cramped table in a busy restaurant. The service was excellent; our server, Jorge, was outstanding. Additionally, three other servers attended to our table, ensuring our water was refilled, the table remained clean, and utensils were promptly available. The food was exceptional in both taste and quality. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
This place holds a special spot in my go to Peruvian spots in Miami. It's located right in the heart of Coral Gables and you can easily find street parking nearby. I love to order the tallarines verde, the sauce is delicious and cheesy! It is my favorite plate to order here. You can't go wrong with the lomo saltado either. Service is quick and easy. Ambiance is more of a family owned restaurant.

Yelp
We hosted a Baby Shower for over 20 people here. The food was as amazing as always. Some times when you have a group quality can change, but that didn't happen. The Manager, Jose Alonso, was so helpful and he and the entire staff helped to make it a great event!
google avatar

Binio L.

Yelp
What a restaurant! WOW! Every single plate I tried was phenomenal, BUT the Pulpo al Olivo, it is the best one I've ever tried. I've been here twice in one weekend LOL (yes, that good!) and both times ambiance, service from beginning to end was outstanding. The whole atmosphere was inviting. Quick service but not a revolving door restaurant. Extensive menu, with main Peruvian food items. The Choros a la Chalaca were fantastic as is their ceviche. Both days easy street parking at night. And value prices are very much in check. A magnificent culinary experience, keep it up! Amazing job!

Yelp
- Very fancy inside - Got the lomo saltado which was really good!! - One annoying thing was the server came up to us every 2 minutes - We had to keep asking for more time as we decided on drinks and then food. We felt rushed
google avatar

Aileen A.

Yelp
Been here twice and loved the food both times. Service is also great - Jesus was wonderful.

Yelp
Our go to when we are in the Gables area. Original pisco sour are good, the jalea mixta is well portioned for the price. The jalea mixta sushi roll is also fantastic if you want sushi and jalea to share. Their passion fruit dessert is a must to finish off a great meal. Cannot complain about the price when all their dishes are delicious. And if you want more then one ceviche, I recommend going for the trio with light spice if your not a spicy fanatic

Yelp
I haven't been to Aromas in years but came by on a weekend for a late lunch. Staff was initially kind and attentive but the attentiveness didn't last long unfortunately. It wasn't busy at all either so the service definitely could have been better. The decor inside is quite modern and minimalistic which is different from how I remember but definitely a nice improvement. We started with two pisco sours ($15 each). They were super sweet but after flagging someone down they remade them less sweet and they were much better. The staff brought out a Peruvian corn with a dipping sauce to the table. Ours had hair on it so we had to send it back and they never brought another back until we asked for it twice. When I finally got to try it, it was so yummy! The corn is definitely super tasty and crunch. We ordered the chaufa vegetariano ($16) with rice instead of quinoa and it was delicious! Such a huge portion too so there were definitely left overs. I added some of the aji that came with the corn and it was a sauce for the fried rice. We also ordered the Toshiro Crocante roll ($19). It's a crunchy shrimp roll that comes with a passionfruit sauce that's drizzled on top. This was also so delicious. The sweet and salty flavors were a perfect pairing. The service could definitely use some help as we had to ask for water, the issue with the corn, and overall just took a long time for any server to follow up but the food was definitely worth the experience. It's a bit on the pricey side but the quality of food was good and there are lots of Peruvian entrees to chose from!
google avatar

Gretzky F.

Yelp
Delicious! The ceviche is amazing and all the dishes we got were superb! We love this place. It is pricey but well worth it
google avatar

Jay N.

Yelp
Definitely give this restaurant a visit. Walk into a modern atmosphere with hints of cultural symbols. Our waiter, Jesus, was such a delight to deal with. Professional, polite, and not intrusive, he broke down the specials and catered to our every need graciously. We started with a pisco, pina, and ginger drink (cool presentation, balanced flavors) and a mixed ceviche (delicious, too small of a portion). Entrees included fish, shrimp risotto (fantastic flavor, creamy texture, smoky seasoning on the proteins), and the Chaufa with chicken (very good, good portion size). Overall, great food, a sophisticated ambiance, and excellent service.
google avatar

Audrey S.

Yelp
A slightly more upscale Peruvian concept with a large space and good food. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the portions were fairly generous to compensate. Kinda tough as a vegetarian, but workable. A lot of confusion from the server when I asked to make the huancaina risotto vegetarian. They accommodated me in the end and it was delicious. The price was also very good for the size and quality of the risotto. Really appreciated not paying the same as I would have with meat! Ambiance was good. I wouldn't say it felt super modern but they were definitely going for something more elevated while paying homage to Peru. We felt a little bit rushed on our way out, but they were busy and service was otherwise good.

Yelp
Had lunch here with customers, we all had a great lunch. The service was outstanding and the food delicious. We were served by at least three people and THE MANAGER came by to see how we were doing. This is the key to a good restaurant; we all expect to have good food but it's the service and the manager's involvement that is key to a restaurant success. I'll be back.
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Excellent food and service by Julio! The ceviche and risotto is out of this world. Recommend anyone who enjoys authentic Peruvian food to try.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
First time here, and we were all VERY pleased. The food was absolutely spectacular. We ordered 5 dishes, and they were all perfect. Our waitress, Lyanna, is very sweet. Definitely went over the menu and explained the items. The ambiance makes it seem like a hole in the wall place, but so so worth it. We were looking for a "trendy" and Instagram worthy restaurant, but ended up here, and we had no regrets. One of the best restaurants in Miami! Lyanna
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch and was so happy that I discovered this place. The food was very tasty and plentiful and the service was great! Good prices and great menu to explore authentic Peruvian cuisine!
google avatar

Ava D.

Yelp
Everyone loved the food, some got churrasco others got aji de gallina, everyone loved the desserts too! The service was phenomenal, we had a large party but Julio and Yao were super helpful in getting everyone situated. The music was moderately loud, so not too quiet but not irritating. Definitely recommend for the Aji de Gallina!
google avatar

Nuwan P.

Yelp
For a Peruvian restaurant located in Coral Gables with spacious indoor seating surprise with its limited outdoor seating. We visited for a quick lunch on Thursday June 22nd, exceptional service given by Jean Paul, informed us of the lunch specials. The disappointment arose from the branzino not being cooked to expectation and had to be sent back. Together with Chicken Chaufa and Arroz Norteno, meal was amazing. Folks keep in mind if you visit Aromas expect to spend, lunch for three came to $150.
google avatar

Flora H.

Yelp
A bit heavy and pricey, but very satisfying. We shared an appetizer platter which honestly would have been enough food for me, and I had the octopus with platanos and grilled vegetables as my main. Kind of an old school vibe but was perfect for a business lunch with a group.
google avatar

Libby G.

Yelp
Food here never disappoints! Went to the Ponce de Leon location and had Lyanna as our server - definitely recommend asking for her. Great food even better service!
google avatar

Charity M.

Yelp
The restaurant was cute, well-decorated, and perfect for an early dinner. We had the aji de gallina and churasco a lo pobre. The aji de gallina was delicious; the chicken had so much flavor, but I would have liked a little more rice. They have happy hour M-F from 4-7, which includes cocktails (I loved the Lima mule), beer, and liquor. The check was pretty average for a casual dinner and drinks at about $100 for two with service charge included.
google avatar

Cami L.

Yelp
Great food just not worth the price tag. Its over priced for what it is. The service is also not the greatest. We had to constantly flag down the waiter
google avatar

Deby V.

Yelp
Came here to dine in for the first time during the week and i absolutely loved it! Normally I order take out from here because their food is so delicious and fresh, but this time we wanted to go out for a bit & this restaurant did not disappoint! The service was incredible, our server was super nice but you can tell everyone there works like a team because we had other servers who would help us out or refill our drinks/clean the table without us even having to ask. The food was even better! We had the lomo saltado- so juicy and flavorful. Also had the churrasco that was cooked & seasoned perfectly and their fried rice. Had an amazing impromptu date night and an amazing meal.
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
Second time coming here but never got to review. Came here yesterday for a company luncheon. Service was great! Food was great! I had the passion fruit juice which was fresh. I had the mixed chaufa (fried rice) and a side of tostones. The portions were plentiful! My left overs were as if I never touched my food. I do wish the tostones had been a little bit crispier that's just my personal preference. Definitely ask for the green sauce to mix in the rice. There is no parking , you need to find street parking which was a bit of a hassle but when I was leaving I realized you can park at target which is right next door for a cost.
google avatar

Camille R.

Yelp
This place came recommended from a colleague who used to lived in Miami, and it was delicious! We have had Peruvian food in Chile and Colombia and this one was definitely at the same level as the others we've tried. We love tacu tacu so we both got it and enjoyed just as much as ever! Gotta love the different pisco sour flavors they offer here, too.
google avatar

Francesca M.

Yelp
One of my favorite Peruvian restaurants, located in Coral Gables. We dined on a Sunday, and the restaurant was not too busy. The servers are great and very attentive. The food is authentic Peruvian, quality is top-notch, and the flavors are just amazing. I love ordering the Al Pesto con Churrasco and the Risotto a la Huancaina con Lomo Saltado.
google avatar

Angie N.

Yelp
Fun delicious drinks, great menu that has tons of flavor, hard working employees that are attentive. It was our first time there and we would return when craving Peruvian dishes.
google avatar

Casey K.

Yelp
Amazing food! I am no way a Peruvian food expert, but I have definitely eaten Peruvian multiple times a month for years. This place was hands down amazing. Clean plates. Ceviche was excellent, Lomo was excellent, the flavor was on point. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the mood for Peruvian.
google avatar

Maria Millie B.

Yelp
I was craving Peruvian food so stopped by Aromas. It didn't disappoint. Maria our waitress was amazing and both food and service were .
google avatar

Isabella K.

Yelp
Amazing! We went here for the first time yesterday after having Aromas Del Peru bookmarked for a while. The restaurant is really nice and cozy. I had the Causa Acevichada which is basically mashed potatoes with ceviche, crab and the yummy aji amarillo sauce. My husband had the Lomo Saltado and upgraded it to filet mignon which was delicious too. We also sampled the Chicha Morada but opted for Maracuya (passion fruit) juice instead. We were full with this but the desserts looked pretty good and there's always room for dessert. So we had a flan which was flan-tactic! We're going to be back soon for sure
google avatar

Natalie N.

Yelp
This spot was absolutely amazing! To start off the ambiance was very nice and perfect for a date night. We didn't have a reservation but luckily we were sat pretty fast. The service was incredible with everyone being very attentive and kind. The food was amazing! My only complaint was the dessert.. Unfortunately it was inedible because the cake was very dry and tasted very off. Besides that both entrees were delicious!! I would highly recommend this spot to satisfy your Peruvian food cravings!
google avatar

Philip M.

Yelp
The other day we ordered take out from this location, just like I normally do..but this time was a little different. I proceeded to order a Arroz Chaufa and a fish ceviche...when my father went to pick up the food he was a little confused..he assumed it was a big order due to the high total..he didn't check because the bag was stapled and he was in a hurry...upon checking the order once he arrived home, we checked the order and noticed that they had charged us $40 DOLLARS!! For ARROZ CHAUFA..and 21 dollars for fish ceviche (which is priced accordingly). But $40 DOLLARS FOR ARROZ CHAUFA IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY...I made this post to put these people out there because I took the liberty to check with the other top competitors in the area and they were all half and some even LESS than half the price of these people. They oughta feel ashamed to be price gauging like this to our community...THIS PLACE IS TRASH AND THEY DONT DESERVE OUR BUSINESS!!!!
google avatar

Elena M.

Yelp
The place was clean, and great service, I loved the Peruvian ceviche they had, but the plate I had wasn't the best for me, I could have just gotten a dish I didn't like. Everything else was great!
google avatar

Daniel H.

Yelp
Very welcoming from the get go. They had a Miami Spice Lunch Menu which my friend and I went for. The server was friendly and attentive. For appetizers we had a house sushi roll and a raw fish ceviche type plate. For main we had a delicious chaufa rice topped with a salmon filet, and my friend had a lomo saltado risotto. For dessert we had a flan and a chocolate soufflé I think it was. All the dishes were amazing, the place is bigger and more authentic looking once inside too.
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
Delicious Peruvian food. The fish and seafood dishes are the best. Service is very good. We have been there a few times with different servers and they are knowledgeable and attentive. Family atmosphere.

Martha A.

Yelp
Very good ceviche. I ordered through Uber eats and it was delivered perfectly well and promptly
google avatar

daniel p.

Yelp
A very nice restaurant to eat authentic Peruvian food in Coral Gables. we had "pescado a lo macho" and "chaufa de Marizcos"

JP G.

Yelp
The food was good--no complaints there. The service was also top-notch. However, this restaurant fell short by not disclosing the automatic 18% gratuity included in the bill. I don't mind the added gratuity, but it's unacceptable to expect diners to notice it on their own.
google avatar

Rose Q.

Yelp
The most delicious Peruvian food I ever tasted before!! This is so amazing I almost have no words for it. The ceviche, omg, it's beautiful, it's fresh, it's scrumptious, it's citrusy, and it's fantastic!! The night we went they also had an open bar, the pisco sour was delicious, and the other lemonade tasting one (on the photo with a lime on the glass) is spicy and interesting. I loved everything about it! The service was also very attentive, friendly, and helpful. I will definitely go back and bring all my friends!!! I also enjoyed the architecture and decorations inside. They have a high ceiling, gold and wooden elements, spacious. It feels bright and high-end. The tables are far apart enough to give you that fine dinning privacy.

Phillip P.

Yelp
I've ordered from Aromas de Peru numerous times over the years and I've tried different locations. The food is great, but they have changed their portion sizes and it's gotten ridiculously out of hand. The last two times I've ordered from this location, the ceviche and lomo saltado with risotto have come with essentially HALF the portion it used to. Beyond disappointing for an order that is $68..... it feels greedy and like theft. It's gotten to the point where I will probably not order from this restaurant anymore. Don't see the restaurant lasting if this is how they treat their customers. Avoid. So many other good ceviche restaurants in Miami, FL that don't rip you off.

Michele M.

Yelp
The service was impeccable. Antonio was our server and was very helpful and welcoming. The food was amazing!!
google avatar

MariaElena D.

Yelp
Antonio , our waiter was amazing! Food is the best Peruvian food in Miami!! Highly recommend Aromas!
