Aromatic Restaurant

It was a great experience eating at the restaurant. The scallops were so perfectly tender and worked amazingly with the oyster mushrooms. The Iberia pork face was great with the scent of the leek. Wine pairing was surprisingly good and complemented the dishes. We are ready to come back again anytime. Danke!

I recently dined at Aromatic, eager to explore their menu as it is highly rated. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the high standards I anticipated. The beef tartare was a letdown, being excessively chewy and tendinous, which made it difficult to enjoy. Similarly, the squid was also tough, lacking the tender texture one would expect from a well-prepared dish. On a brighter note, the pork fillet emerged as the highlight of the tasting menu, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to flavor. Service, however, was exemplary. The staff was friendly, providing thorough explanations of each dish with genuine enthusiasm. It was clear they were passionate about their work. It’s worth noting that my visit was just before the restaurant closed for its holiday break. The “secret menu” seemed to be a mix of ingredients, possibly reflecting a patchwork of leftovers from the regular menu. This might have contributed to the less than ideal execution of certain dishes.

Great experience, so glad we had a recommendation to go here. To bad we could not meet the Chef since he wasn't there on Wednesday. The food was amazing and the wine suggestions were fantastic. It was one of those experiences where the wine changed for the better when you ate the food, amazing! The food was beautiful and delicious at the same time. We did the tasting menu and shared our dishes. The serving portions were perfect, not to full for dessert and not at all hungry when leaving. Absolutely recommended!

We were in Lyon Summer 2022 for a wedding and visited this restaurant. The food was superb and the staff super friendly and knowledgeable of the food and spoke English well.

Lovely dinner experience at Aromatic Restaurant. We chose the menu carte (au choix) for 45€ each and it was delicious. The whole team was so nice and even got our dog some water. We reserved a table online beforehand specifically on the terrace (you can choose between a table inside or on their terrace). All courses were excellent, definitely recommend.

Everything was very good to excellent. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was friendly and professional. The atmosphere intimate with nice design touches. A good wine list. Will definitely return.

Yummy! Beautiful presentation! Despite the price, the entrée were flawless. The main dishes could be tastier - the 'dos de cabillaud' dish was a little bit too bland. The desserts were nice. The service was just right. Unfortunately, being there in summer and they didn't turn on the air-conditioner nor open the windows, it was super hot inside the restaurant.

Great dining experience here with 3 young children. My wife and I enjoy fine dining... 3 young children can make dining in such fine restaurants a bit challenging. The entire team was super accommodating - we ordered an allergy friendly formule for our kids to share, and the chefs were kind enough to cut up and plate the dishes for them! Great food, great wine, family and allergy friendly (the poached egg/mushroom plate was spectacular). Thank you!

After years of research, I finally found the best restaurant in Lyon and maybe in the south of France! Exceptional from start to finish! Food, service, environnement, in all aspect this place will surprise you! I just found another reason to cross the pound ;)
