Oh wow, probably the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life. It was so good that during our 4-day trip to New York, we ate here twice. I’ll remember the Pad See Ew for the rest of my life! We also had shrimp and chicken dumplings, fried calamari, and noodle soup — everything was absolutely delicious. On top of that, the service was so friendly! The place is tiny but very cozy. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different than the “traditional” American food.

I ordered the Chili Bamboo Chicken at Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen, and it was a solid experience! The dish had a good balance of spice and savoriness, with tender chicken, crisp bamboo shoots, and a mix of vegetables that added freshness. The sauce had a nice kick, but it wasn’t overpowering, making it a flavorful yet well-balanced meal. The portion size was satisfying, especially with the side of fluffy jasmine rice that complemented the dish perfectly. The service was quick and friendly, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. If you enjoy Thai flavors with a bit of spice and crunch from bamboo shoots, I’d definitely recommend trying this dish. I’ll be back to explore more of their menu! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

I got recommended by my friend and it was awesome it! The Panang curry was super tasty! Creamy, rich, and just the right spice. The staff were very nice and the service was excellent. Clean place and good vibes. I’ll come back again for sure!

Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen is a hidden gem in NYC! The food is incredibly flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented. I tried the Chicken Pad See Ew and Chilli Bamboo Chicken, and both dishes had the perfect balance of spice and freshness. The portions are generous, and the ingredients taste high-quality. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual dining and a nice dinner out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to accommodate spice level preferences. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food in NYC, Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen is a must-visit!

I went here with my friend after a long day at school. The inside of the place is very aesthetic and calm. I was able to relax. We both ordered drunken noodles and Thai iced teas. The noodles were extremely filling. We had a hard time finishing it. The Thai tea was also very refreshing. I think the price is reasonable as well. I recommend visiting this place if you are in downtown Manhattan.

After a cultural futuristic artistic experience at Mercer Labs, walk a few blocks for a culinary experience at Aroy. The location is small with only a few sitting places indoors. The food and service were wonderful.

Price is very reasonable with good portion and staff were very kind and patient with us. Food didn’t take a long time to come out and the flavour (we got chicken drunken noodles) was rich. Would recommend for a homey option in lower manhattan!!

Google
We bumped into this place by accident looking for some Asian cuisine and we loved it. The food spicy but unique and tasty. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Nice Ambience for midday meal. Nice casual Thai spot for lunchtime in lower manhattan.

Yelp
If you're a fan of rich, soul-warming broths and tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef, this spot is an absolute must. The beef noodle soup here is next level. The broth is deeply flavorful -- slow-simmered with herbs, spices, and bone marrow until it hits that perfect savory-sweet balance. The beef is unbelievably tender, like it's been braised for hours (because it has). Noodles? Springy, chewy, and perfect at soaking up the broth. I've tried a lot of beef noodles, but this one hits home like no other. Simple, comforting, and ridiculously good.

Yelp
Small shop but more seating than most places in the area. Table service or take out. The server was really sweet and ga e us 3 different menus each. One with the luch Set special, another with single item lunch special and then the regular menu. My friend regularly goes here and suggested her favorite Basil Fried rice with chicken. I thought I should get something different that way I could 2 dishes instead. She said she'd only every had the fried rice and chicken wings. We ordered that and I wanted the Pad Thai with beef. Beef was not on the lunch special and the waitress said it would be from the regular menu with a much bigger portion. Didn't want that much so I got the chicken instead. The chicken wings were perfection, flavorful and crispy outside and juicy inside. The sauce it came with was delicious . $13 for 5 kinda pricey though especially since they weren't whole wings and were on the smaller side. The Spicy Basil Fried Rice was exceptional. It didn't even need the chicken. Great balance of heat, savory spucea and Thai basil. The portion was huge too. Enjoyed that the most. Honestly the Pad Thai was mid. I was disappointed, this is one one the specialties and it didn't hit any high notes. The chicken was very dry and tough. The guy beside me had Pad Kee Mao , I should have gone with that cause it looked delicious and he kept telling me its the best thing he ever had. Overall a lovely shop, with great service, and the shop was clean. I didn't see a bathroom but also forgot to make a point of looking for one.

Yelp
This is probably the only non-chain restaurant that's serving hot cooked food after 9pm on a weeknight - so first, loud applause for that in a neighborhood where it gets pretty quiet after 7pm on weeknights. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered take out and unfortunately, the quality was a bit disappointing so docked a star here. However, I did notice it was nearing closing time and they had about 5 other orders to fulfill so they didn't have time to cook the vegetables thoroughly. So yes, they were half cooked but in the end, it was hot. The curry sauce also poured out of the container and into the paper bag, ripping it open. The plastic bag saved it from getting all over me, so thank goodness for that. Perhaps it would be a better experience next time.

Yelp
Aroy Dee is a Thai restaurant that offers mouth-watering flavors that are spicy and flavorful. The employees are friendly and efficient in cooking and serving their customers with timely service. If you're a fan of Thai cuisine, you should give it a try. I love Thai food! The ambiance is clean and straightforward, which suits this family restaurant.

Cozy Thai spot with an aroma that trails out the door, drew me and my friend in and we are not disappointed. Great flavors and the staff is very sweet and attentive. The food is flavorful and the beverages so refreshing. Will for sure come back again.

Yelp
Very good pad Thai, especially with hot sauce! Not a very big restaurant, just a few tables if you want to eat here.

Yelp
Very nice good food. Recommended!! I ordered green curry with chicken. Yum yum!! Near the New York stock exchange.

Yelp
I was deciding on what to get around my workplace and decided to settle for Thai food at Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen. The store front seemed very inviting that got me hooked for Thai food that day. What a cute and cozy place to get lunch at! Place dimly lit with cute square tables for couples and from the moment you enter the place, you are faced with this long stretch of cute squared tables for couples to dine in. A very dimly lit place to create that romantic and cool vibe. The decor that they have looked very vintage and hip. Even their menus have cute drawings to make their dishes appealing. I ordered the chicken cashew nut lunch special and didn't have to wait long despite a couple of people ahead of me. I took the lunch special back to work and since it was raining, I was happy on how they package my lunch special in a stapled brown paper bag along with a plastic bag. Double packaged to hold the contents in place in case of a mishap! Once I got back to the office, I opened the bag to see a box with two compartments. One compartment contained the white rice and the other contained the cashew chicken but. I love the white rice and how it was puffy and cooked. Not too dry or overly wet. It was cooked right and very addicting to the point that I cleaned off every rice off the plate! The chicken cashew nut on the other hand was not that seasoned in my opinion. There were a couple of pineapples that tasted bland and looked overly steamed! I expected the plate to be watery and drenched in sauce and didn't expect it to be kind of dry. It did look healthy that it wasn't too wet in sauce and without all the extra condiments that you expect in Thai food dishes. Cashew which was the main ingredient did not taste like much and the chicken was tender but lacked the extra flavor and sauce I was hoping. Overall, the plate looked very healthy and not overly drenched in sauce which I didn't expect.

Yelp
Very affordable, low key Thai spot in fidi. The fish filet was very crispy and flavorful. Their portions are also really big so it's a good value. Would come back again!

Yelp
I have come here many times. I came here today and it was quite delicious. I usually get the same thing which is the pad see ewe and it is always delicious with the fried shrimp and chicken dumplings. I will try to get something else next time but to me it is a great meal well cooked with the right portion. The fried shrimp chicken dumplings are well cooked and seasoned nicely. The dumpling is fried well and juicy in the filling and the filling is flavorful. The pad see ewe is good and flavorful with a lot of vegetables. The full piece of the meal is $20.00 which I think it pretty good for the area and I left full. This is my go to place for when I want Thai food in the area. The service is great they are friendly and don't rush you.

Rushang G.

Yelp
Great service, amazing food, loved the overall vibe of the place. Highly recommend this place

Yelp
If you're searching for authentic Thai cuisine that brings back memories of Thailand or you want a taste of what food in Thailand is like, Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen is the place to go. I've been here 3-4 times already, and I can't wait to come back when I'm in the area. On my first visit, I ordered the green curry, and it had the perfect spice level I was looking for. It gave me flashbacks to my time in Thailand--that's how authentic it tasted. I can't remember the name of the other dish I ordered, but it was equally delicious. And the Thai tea? Absolutely on point, just like any top-tier Thai tea should be. The staff here is fantastic, especially the woman at the counter. She took the time to listen to my stories about my vacation in Thailand, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving a true taste of Thailand.

Yelp
10/24/23 We ordered online for pickup and 2 of us went to pick it up. It was nice little walk from 3WTC. We almost walked passed the restaurant. It's so small! There was only a few small tables. Definitely glad we did take out. We all liked our meals. I got the Pad See Ew Chicken. My go to for Thai restaurants. Not the best I've ever had but it was still good. Will order again. :)

Yelp
Super cute inside, and the food was really good! I got a thai iced tea and drunken noodles and both were delicious. Will come again :)

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by this Thai restaurant after a place we were trying to go closed early for the day. We were a group of five. We were really happy to find this spot. This restaurant is very tiny, but they added a stool to our table to accommodate our group. It's a tight space, but cozy and cute in a hole in the wall charming way. The servers here are pretty kind. If you need the bathroom you'll have to go next door and let them know you're a customer of Aroy Dee Thai. It's a single gender neutral bathroom next door. Everyone in my group really loved their dishes. My friend's curry order was amazing. I thought my pad see ew was just ok. We ordered a side of edamame for the table which was yummy. One of our friends devoured his pork noodle soup. My other friend really liked her heaven chicken and ginger rice. My boyfriend adored his sun dried marinated pork. While I found my dish to be just fine, everyone else really enjoyed their food. If you're a group under four, this is a nice spot to stop for lunch.

Yelp
Love the ambience of the restaurant and good food! Great server as well, was very friendly.

Yelp
I really liked this place as flavors are good and staff is friendly. However, I've placed take out orders from them in the past and most recently today. I've come to find that they are giving less portions for the same amount of money. Look at this packaging!! I ordered the lunch special pad Thai and I was still hungry after this and I'm not surprised! They used to give a full portion with no partial divider just for bean sprouts and 1 lime.... If they don't change the packaging back, I will not be visiting them in the future anytime soon.

Yelp
Pretty good for a quick bite! Price is decent for the area. But my pad Thai was very sweet. The basil chicken is not made with ground chicken but the flavor was still good. Might stop by again if in the area. They have weekday lunch special 12:30-3:30. Great deal to take advantage on :)

Ruby C.

Yelp
The best Thai iced tea ever! I keep coming back with my 4yo for more. Friendly staff too!

Yelp
Cute little shop & very nice staff. The place is clean but little seating. The food was bland unfortunately. My red curry was such a thin consistency too. Probably would not return

Yelp
Wow, very impressive spot. Happened to be in the area and was starving but needed a quick meal. This was great for the price. Green curry with chicken: tasty, although could've had more chicken. Lots of bamboo shoots, peppers and the curry was flavorful. Taro spring rolls: this hit the spot so well. It comes with duck sauce but I didn't need it. It was so crispy and the skin was light and thin but it had a good amount of filling. Overall, the entree could have more protein but this was satisfying.

Yelp
After a failed attempt at dinner at the nearby Wuish restaurant, where we were completely ignored, unacknowledged, and never seated for a solid 15mins, we looked around for an alternate dining spot nearby that was still open, and offered a dine-in option. We remembered walking by Aroy Dee earlier in the day, noticing their great lunch deals being advertised outside their shop, and were quite happy to see that they were open for indoor dinner dining as well! We arrived around 4:35pm, and were the only people dining in at the time. While there was a steady trickle of online orders, dine-in business did not pick up until later in the evening. This worked well for us, as the inside is quite small, and could only accompany a few tables at once. Portion sizes were generous and filling. And prices were definitely reasonable for NYC. Being that it was a cold night, we both opted for a soup dish. I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup, which contained hearty sized wontons, simmered in a delicious pork broth. While my wife chose some chicken noodle dish, that came with two LARGE, delicious pieces of chicken in it. Delicious, filling, affordable, and best of all, service was very friendly and prompt throughout. Definitely do not pass this tiny little shop up!

Yelp
They have great lunch specials! The restaurant is pretty small and narrow so I recommend doing takeout unless you're in a group of 2 or 4. I had their tofu pad thai which I enjoyed.

Yelp
Great place for lunch with reasonably priced specials! I was downtown and stopped in and ordered tofu pad Thai, delicious!

Yelp
Greeted by polite waitress and showed us to our tables nicely. The fish and fried rice we ordered was very crispy and flavorful, while the pumpkin curry rounds up the meal very well. Price is affordable and Thai ice tea also hits the spot! Very good location in the heart of the city!
