This truck is so special!! Simple, lovingly made, flavorful and quick! I cannot recommend them enough. My photo is the chicken fried rice, but I love the Chili Chick sooo much 😍😍😍😍

Google
Hidden gem near the Pearl – best Thai food in San Antonio. This food truck is the real deal – authentic, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. I asked for heat and got that deep, delicious Thai spice you can only get from true home-style cooking. Generous portions, great prices, and the friendliest owner who clearly loves what she does. It’s a hidden gem that shouldn’t stay hidden – if you’re anywhere near the Pearl, do yourself a favor and try it. We need to keep spots like this thriving!

Not the first time here. Super yummy, authentic and best in town.

I stopped to get gas at the Shell, and saw the bright yellow food truck. Decided to give it a shot and it was great. I asked them what they recommended and it was the Thai Grilled Pork. The food was prepared quickly and smelled AMAZING! Friendly service, the food was good, only think i didn't like was that the sticky rice was in a bag. Would definitely go again if I'm ever in that side of town.

Google
Got the belly curry and mango pudding. The fried pork belly was awesome. The rice was average and could have used more red curry. The pork belly is so good that I could look past the rest. The mango pudding was not my thing, but it wasn't bad. I couldn't figure it out. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu.

Google
Amazing Thai food! 🥘 it's been so hard to find real Thai dishes. The plates we had are tender and full of flavor, we couldn’t eat it all and took the rest to go. The owner is so kind and the environment was beautiful 🤩 We will be coming back! Highly recommend!

Google
We really enjoyed our meal from Aroy Ver. The owner was gracious and helpful when we asked for recommendations or clarifications on the menu items. We ordered the moo ping (pork skewers), moo wan (Thai sweet pork), and Thai style grilled beef with thai teas. The pork skewers have to be my favorite, though there were a bite or two that was much too tough to chew easily. The grilled beef could use a little more flavor, in our humble opinion, but it wasn't a disappointment in the least. I preferred the jasmine rice over the sticky rice and the spring rolls were amazing. The Thai tea was great and made us feel like were drinking adult capri suns. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this great food truck to anyone.

Google
Best Thai food and tea in San Antonio! I have been looking for a place since I left Chicago and this satisfied my craving. I can’t wait to go back! The owner is very kind and friendly. She accommodated for our allergies and was willing to adapt to our request for noodles. I don’t want to share the secret but she deserves the business!

Yelp
This food truck on Broadway is a culinary experience. I would caution that you really have to like spicy food! The Aroy Chick I tasted was very good and very spicy. The attendant was eager to ensure I was pleased with the meal providing amicable service and attention to detail. This chicken is fried super crispy (I liked that very much) and the rub is truly spicy. I was pleasantly surprised with the sauce that accompanied the plate. There is very comfortable eating area in front of the truck. Adjacent parking makes this a more comfortable experience as parking in this area is not abundant. I had not tried Thai food in San Antonio so I truly appreciate Fernanda and team for this invitation!

Yelp
What an amazing experience we had!! I did not expect for the food truck to be in a food truck park! There was so many amazing fun small businesses to see and explore. The food itself was phenomenal!! The cucumber salad is a must try!! The seasonings of the chicken are exceptional. But because but the chili chicken is spicyyyyyyyy and addicting!!! Thank goodness I bought the Thai tea to help cool me down! We got 3 plates, a side and a drink for a very reasonable price! If you are interested and thinking about please try them out! The ladies working are very helpful as well and they do have a shaded seated area to enjoy the food!

Yelp
Honestly probably the best Thai food I've ever had! It was so so delicious. My boyfriend got the Aroy chick and I got the omelet. The Aroy chick was so crispy and flavorful, and it was a big serving too with lots of rice and chicken! I got the omelet and it was simple but really hit the spot for me. Egg and rice is a staple comfort meal and this dish really elevated it for me. The egg was deliciously seasoned and the sriracha paired perfectly with it. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
*Voted best food truck in 2023 by SA Current* Located on Broadway just north of the pearl, Aroy Ver is tucked in this small food truck park adjacent from Alamo colleges district. There is a parking lot across from the food truck park along with street parking. It's a shared area between other food trucks so there's ample seating throughout the area (covered and uncovered). During my visit I tried two different dishes: Aroy Chick and Fried Rice, both were savory and packed with flavor. The portions are huge and one plate kept me fed for three days. The Aroy Chick is medium spice level so if you aren't a fan of spicy food you may want to try something else. They do have a small menu, which I prefer. Most of their dishes containing protein is chicken and pork is the other option. They also serve Thai tea and I'd like to try that on my next visit. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Sunday 11am-2pm. They accept online orders via clover if you want to pick up. The ladies are so sweet and can't say enough positive things about my experience. The only thing I was disappointed with is they didn't have the pink noodles in stock. I was dying to try that dish but they informed me it's due to supply chain issues. I can't wait to try that dish. Until next time, peace.

Yelp
Run by a total boss women, they're serving up authentic Thai street food that's bursting with flavor. I devoured their refreshing Thai Lemonade and a plate of their amazing Fried Rice (gluten-free options available, score!). Of Course try the Chicken! Spicy, sweet kick to it!! The rice is to die for !! They are also surrounded by other foods trucks, outdoor seating and cute little shopping experiences. If you love Thai food and supporting local businesses owned by strong women, this is a MUST TRY!

Yelp
I'm a big fan of this food truck. I've ordered 10 different things off the menu and every single one has been delicious. Come try this place, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This food truck is the best Thai food I've had in town, hands down. It's located in a cute little food truck park and has nice large picnic table seating. There is some shade to sit under as well, so it doesn't get too hot. I had the aroy chick which was a fried chicken with rice. The sauce was very flavorful and had a delicious spice to it that tingles the tongue. I whole-heartedly believe this is 100% worth every penny and that you won't regret giving it a try.

Yelp
Aroy Ver is by far one of my favorite food trucks in town! This food truck specializes in Thai street food and I can assure you everything you order will be absolutely delicious. I've literally tried everything on their menu and there's not a single item I don't love. My ultimate favorites are the pad woon sen, aroy rolls, grilled chicken and aroy bomb! Highly recommend ordering multiple items since a lot of them are more "tapas" style, which gives you the opportunity to try more. If you are sharing with someone else, highly recommend ordering a family tray which has two Aroy rolls, one fried rice, one moo ping, one Aroy bomb and two steamed rices. Last but not least, the owner is absolutely amazing and she is just the nicest. During the Texas winter storm, she kept her food truck opened to make sure she could feed people who didn't not have power or running water. She is definitely an amazing person and I am so thankful for what she did for our community.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch with my co-worker and so glad he suggested this small food truck park. We were undecided, so grabbed wings from the truck across the way. And I was lured in by the big beautiful smile of the young lady at this truck's window. I ordered the fried rice (Khao Pad) and a Thai tea (bag). We chose to share our lunch with each other and Wow! That's all I can say. The wings from the other truck were soooo tasty (perfectly seasoned), sorry I don't know the name of the other truck. But then we tried the rice from Aroy Ver and when I say it was freaking delicious! We only had one fork, my coworker ate his with his hands, yep it was just that good. Initially I thought it was a bit pricey, but then I realized the portion (easily three servings) and the amount of meat...and that delicious flavor...mmm. This experience was well worth the price and that bag of Thai tea was the icing on the cake, thank you for this culinary creativity.

Yelp
I absolutely love food so I grabbed a few things to try out. We really liked the Thai tea and and chicken skewers. I didn't really like the mango sticky rice, I just don't think they used the right kind of rice. The spring rolls were a little soggy and not crispy.

Yelp
This place is a high 4.5! My husband and I love the food here! The omelette and pork belly is delicious! Also their food is spicy enough to meet my cravings. I love coming here on the weekends just to eat their food. Whether it be the curry chicken, omelette, or pork belly dishes, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The rice is steaming hot, the Thai Thea hits the spot on a hot day, and the pork belly is nice and tender and decorated with amazing hot pepper. Visit this food truck when you can because it's worth it! Also if you're worried about the spicy flavors, the ladies will ask you if you want it and can tell you how hot it can make the dish, so no worries there! Also love how hot and fresh the meals come out every time we order!

Yelp
Don't let the gas station parking lot fool you! This food truck is a hidden gem; mind blowing fresh, piping hot, delicious, and has very generous portions! This has the quality to be a packed out restaurant. My mom, daughter and I went to try them out and figured it might be just like anywhere else, not really having high expectations but boy were we wrong! I'll start with the pad woonsen. When I took it out of the bag the box was super heavy and extra hot! It was packed with glass noodles, chicken breast, onions, scallions, egg, and cilantro. It was like Mary Poppins bag, it just kept going and going and going . . . . I ate from it twice and shared with my husband, that's how much was in there! My daughter got the Beef Massaman Curry, (she is a self proclaiming curry connoisseur) but without the peanuts. The beef was tender and the curry was delicious! The broth/sauce looks a bit more like a stew but had a rich, stick-to-your-ribs heartiness. It was packed with meat and tiny potatoes and served with steamed jasmine rice, which is a perfect pair for anything curry IMO. My mother ordered the Moo Ping (Thai style grilled pork) which to be honest, I wish that pork was an option for the pad woonsen (maybe next time I'll just order this and add it to my noodles as a workaround) my daughter and I were trying to sneak it off her plate! This pork is so rich in flavor, tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection. And I really am a harsh critic, I was looking for the flaws, looking for what was wrong, looking for the detail they missed, and it didn't exist. Everything was divine! We all shared the order of AROY'S Rolls which tasted great dipped in the curry! Perfect crispy crunch for added texture to our food. The Thai Tea was refreshing, cold, and absolutely satisfying for a super hot day. It was the perfect drink to wash it all down with. Though it has milk, it is not "creamy" or heavy. It was still very light and refreshing and didn't fill me up as some drinks do. All in all, from beginning to end, from the service to the food, it was excellent! I will be back. Regularly. It's 35 minutes from where I live and totally worth the drive!

Yelp
Get the aroy bombs!! They're delicious, packed with flavor, and come with a larger portion of pieces. Great location, friendly service and very responsibly priced!
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love this food truck. They have the best Thai food and service. The food is so tasty. It leaves you wanting to come back and get some more rice is perfectly cooked just the way you want it.

Yelp
Wow !!! I am so happy I was selected. I literally live in the area & I actually go to the gas station & hair/ nail salon across the street. I also use this particular shell for my gas rewards. Now I saw two food trucks at the gas station but never thought to try them. Well I am happy I did. The lady in the truck was really nice. Service was really quick. The chicken rolls were AMAZING. The Thai tea was also good as well! You guys just landed a new forever customer. I wanted to order everything on the menu but my "diet" did not permit me. xX- I also my treats from Yelp. Thank you so much

Yelp
Bomb.com! I tore into my food and remembered I should've got a pic first. So tasty, so fresh and so delicious! And the cucumber salad = YUM. A must try.

Yelp
4.5 stars! I heard so many things about this food truck, I decided to give it a try. It is located near downtown in the Broadway News food truck park. I have never been here so it a little far for me but if the food is good, I don't care. I pull up to the food truck and they have a menu board set up and the offerings look good. I walk over to the window and realize, that I know the owner of the truck. Previously she worked at a Thai restaurant that I would frequent. Before Covid, I was there like every pay day. I went so much that when I called she would already know my order. It was really cool and she always provided great service. I was so happy to see that she branched out on her own. The service is great and the owner gave me some great tips on Asian groceries and cooking while we were talking and catching up. On to the food. I ordered the Aroy rolls, cucumber salad, Aroy bomb, and the pink noodles. I wanted the Pad Woosen that I had heard so much about but she said they don't serve that anymore. That is the only reason for the 4.5 stars. Pad Woosen is one of my favorite dishes so not being able to have it when I get Thai food feels wrong. The Aroy rolls were seasoned, filled and yummy. The Aroy bomb which are pork dumplings are so good. They are fat and flavorful. The dipping sauce that comes with them is perfect. It has fish sauce and other yummy stuff in it. The cucumber salad is nice and cool on a hot day. It does have cilantro in it but it is not overpowering. Last was the pink noodles. It is like Pad Thai with the extra thin noodles. This dish is on the sweeter side so I added the Aroy dipping sauce to cut the sweetness. That made it more enjoyable for me. The portion sizes are huge. I didn't think that when I picked up my order but when I got home and unpacked everything I was amazed. I did not even put a dent in the noodles or Aroy bomb. I have plenty for another meal so that is a great value. They have some pork dishes on the menu that i am excited to try next time. Definitely worth stopping by if you have a chance. I hope that they can bring back the Pad Woosen because I know it will be awesome.

Yelp
Wonderful Thai food truck located at Broadway news. The Thai tea is the best on a hot summer day. I don't know how they make the chicken but it has the best char grilled flavor. It is served with a homemade sauce that goes perfectly with the chicken and rice. They have online ordering which is more convenient if you don't want to wait. They also accept credit cards.

Yelp
Great fresh Thai food! The location was easy to find and the lady taking orders was SUPER nice! We tried the chicken satay, grilled pork with sticky rice, massaman curry, and the rolls. The chicken satay was fresh and juicy. They were very flavorful. My husband loved them, but it was a little too much basil for me. I loved the peanut sauce though. The grilled pork was the BOMB. So juicy, so flavorful! I wish the sticky rice had not been wrapped in plastic because it would have been awesome with the pork juice soaking into it. Again my husband loved the fish sauce, but it was a bit strong for my taste. It was still fresh and flavorful. The pork was my favorite! The sticky rice was good, but a little on the bland side. The massaman curry was hot, fresh, and very flavorful, but a bit different from other massamans that I have had. This one did not seem as creamy and the beef was a little chewy and not as tender as the chicken and pork. It was good, but not something I would crave. The rolls were fresh and crispy and loved by all. Everything here is quality and freshly made. Nothing was processed. I look forward to trying the pad woon sen and getting more pork!

Yelp
Ordered two entrees to go along with the fritters and cucumber salad. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The staff member was very helpful in helping us pick dishes. I want to come back to try the pink noodles next time.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch from this little spot. First, be patient. The owner running it is handling a lot. An order for given to the wrong person and had to be retrieved before they left, and I was missing something from my order but it was corrected. Also beef is no longer on the menu. I was really looking forward to trying it. On to the food. The pork was great. Sticky rice was awesome. Chicken appetizer very good. And the shrimp chips were different. You definitely get the shrimp flavor once you get into the second one. And these are very crispy and crunchy. Tried the tea. Wasn't to my liking after a few sips but I can definitely tell why people would like it. Just not my flavor. All in all I will definitely be back, especially since I am more familiar with the menu and can zero in on what I like the best. Give em a shot!!

Yelp
I love supporting local, woman owned food trucks. My fave was the "Thai Style Grilled Pork" (Moo Ping). Pear (the owner) shared with me that as a kid before school, she'd buy grilled pork and sticky rice sold in front of her school. I def enjoy hearing stories like that! I also really enjoyed the "Spin Spin Tato" (Deep Fried Potato Skewer) I had the cheese flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
Was in the area and decided to finally check this place out. Personally it did not live up to the hype. I ordered Aroys Rolls, Aroy chick, chili salt chick, and fried rice. Chicken was dried out. Rolls under seasoned but dipping sauce helped. The fried rice mushy. I was even more disappointed because we went to try their pork belly, but they no longer serve it. Yet it's still on their clover menu. Can't comment about service. Only words from the lady was no pork belly and will take 15-20 min.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
Some if not the best Thai food in San Antonio. The Thai fried rice is delish! If you have room (not pictured) order the mango with sticky rice for dessert!
google avatar

Scarlett T.

Yelp
Aroy Ver is a Thai street food truck located in the parking lot of a Shell Gas Station. I got the opportunity to try their Aroy Rolls for a Yelp Elite Event. The Aroy rolls came out piping hot, crispy, and loaded with chicken, glass noodles, and veggies. The 4 rolls are pretty filling... not heavy...and tasty with the sweet tangy thick chili sauce. FYI for non spicy eaters, the sauce was not spicy at all. I also ordered the chicken satay and Thai Style grilled pork (moo ping) with steam rice. The chicken satay included 4 skewered chicken satay, peanut sauce, and cucumbers in a sweet sauce. The chicken satay was very moist juicy and grilled to perfection. Combined with the thick peanut sauce the chicken satay was delightful. If you eat the chicken satay without the peanut sauce the chicken lacked seasoning. The Moo Ping aka Thai style grilled pork was my absolute favorite! The pork was super flavorful and tasty! Seasoning was perfect by itself or with rice. The pork was grilled perfectly. You can see the perfect color and caramelization on the outside of the pork. When you take a bite you will taste the light smokiness of the grilled pork and slight burnt edges of the grilled pork. It is sooo good!! The Moo Ping was moist, juicy, and grilled very perfectoooo! This dish is a must try. The Moog Ping came with 5 grilled pork Skewers, your choice of steam rice or sticky rice, 2 sliced cucumbers, and a tangy strong sauce. My whole order took about 15 minutes and service was great. The people were friendly and they were still open even though it was raining. Staff wore mask and the food was packed well. This is my first time trying Thai Street food and I will definitely be back for the Moo Ping and to try different things on their menu!

Yelp
I can not explain my love for this truck! I love street foods when I travel. It really shows you the heart and soul of a place. I was so impressed by the flavors of all the food I ordered! The egg rolls were super crisp with a lot of filling, the chicken satay was so so delish and that peanut dipping sauce was fire. I also LOVED the grilled beef. It had a good crisp, which was crazy that the owner was able to get that type of crisp on a truck. But the star for me??? The spin spin tato!! I got the mixed flavor of tom yum and cheese. It was crispy, salty, sweet, tangy, and cheesy. Literally everything! I've already been to this truck more than once bc I try to eat the entire menu!
google avatar

Jose O.

Yelp
I drove from Austin to San Antonio just to try Aroy Ver and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Thai Tea, Pink Noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice and they were all hits. The noodles were tasty, especially after pouring two containers of chili sauce on top. I could have handle much more spice, but that's something I'll ask for next time. It's worth mentioning that the portion was massive as well. If I had more time (and hadn't stuffed my face with noodles), I would have ordered a second tea and dessert because they were both outstanding.
google avatar

Nyla M.

Yelp
Cute food truck parked at the Shell! Ran to grab lunch here, which I ordered ahead of time through their website (always super convenient to be able to do this vs calling). I grew up eating a lot of Thai/Laos food, so my review definitely is going to be a little bias when compared to mama's cooking. The pork sticks were flavorful and the spicy fish sauce that comes along with it makes it even better. I don't know what it is with reheating sticky rice but the texture of it was just a little on the mushy side for me. The chicken satay and pad woon sen with chicken were both great - very safe options. What I loved most was their Thai Tea - wasn't too sweet and they added the perfect splash of milk!
google avatar

Shohana B.

Yelp
The friendly folks at this place took my order, I ordered chicken satay, shrimp cracking chips, and Thai style grilled pork. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken satay was perfectly seasoned and I absolutely love the dipping sauces. The Thai style grill pork was juicy and sweet and savory and the sticky rice was a wonderful addition to the dish. The rolls had a delicious filling in it with some clear glass noodles it looked like. Shrimp cracking chips were also very delicious and crunchy. Thai tea is my absolute favorite so that was definitely a treat to go along with all of the delicious food! Definitely will be back to try more items on the menu!
google avatar

Mae S.

Yelp
This is my favorite secret gem! Something about the sauce just dies it for me! Even my mom is addicted to the level of comfort the rice bowl gives when we pour that sauce on. Thank you for being soo great! I love all your dishes.
google avatar

Jacqueline A.

Yelp
Aroy Ver is my favorite food truck in San Antonio! All of the food is amazing but my favorites are the grilled pork and the Aroy rolls. Don't forget to grab a cold Thai tea to help beat the heat.
google avatar

L F.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Aroy Ver! Their food is amazing! You gotta get the Spin Spin Tato in both Tom Yum and Cheese flavors! Perfect sticky rice, Beef Massaman Curry and Neua Yang (grilled beef) are excellent as well! And their Thai Tea is soooooooo refreshing! Really sweet and friendly staff too! This place is going to be my regular stop when I'm craving Thai food!

Sal G.

Yelp
Got the belly curry and mango pudding. The fried pork belly was awesome. The rice was average and could have used more red curry. The pork belly is so good that I could look past the rest. The mango pudding was not my thing, but it wasn't bad. I couldn't figure it out. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu.

Yelp
YUM!! I'm at a loss for words. This is by far the best I've ever had. The open atmosphere was perfect but the food was a-ma-zing you NEED to try it, like right now!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Thai food spots in San Antonio. Great location, super friendly service, portion sizes and DELICIOUS! Their thai tea comes in a bag, which is so unique and fun. Their fried rice is delicious as well!! 100% worth it!

Magic M.

Yelp
BEST thai food in san antonio texas! It's very affordable and amazing staff! * chicken satay - d' bomb * Thai sweet pork - absolutely delicious * beef curry - absolutely delicious * Thai tea - d' bomb 100% highly recommended!

Yelp
We've tried the grilled beef and pork. And the curry too. Everything has been really delicious. It's close to where I work and have come back multiple times since they've opened. If you're a fan of Thai food, or been wanting to try, it's definitely a must place to go!

Nis S.

Yelp
Just gonna start off by saying that I'm Thai.. and this is the only place I get my Thai food fix. Their menu isn't the same as typical Thai restaurants. Definitely the true taste of thai food -- and drink. Go follow them on IG to see if they have any special dishes.

Yelp
Awesome Food!! I was shocked ! Fresh Vegetables and ingredients! Great customer service as well!! So sweet! The portions were also great!! Food Cooked Just Right!

Yelp
Very good Fresh food. It was filling without the heavy greasy feeling. The girls were friendly and fast. Definitely going back.

Yelp
So yummy! Great place for some Thai street food! Everything we tried was delicious and fresh!

Yelp
Had to try after seeing it on Texas Eats. I was not disappointed, I tried the "Spin spin Tato" way better the plain fries. "Aroy's roll" similar to a spring roll very light. For the main course I had the "Thai style grilled beef (Neua Yang)". Topped it off with Thai tea (Cha Yen). All was very pleasing and looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
I have been looking for this authentic Thai food for a long time! Their food are delicious ! I am Thai and I can guarantee that you will never be disappointed!

Katlin W.

Yelp
Amazing food this place blew me away and i live nearby and have never even attempted to try it but i did on a whim and i was so impressed that i had it again a few days later except that time I ordered most of the menu items and they all tasted amazing im a new regular!

Delinette B.

Yelp
I wish I knew the name of the plate I got the first time, it was so good I went back the very next day and practically ordered one of each item from their menu! street pork, beef curry, sticky rice, cucumber salad, even the tea; it is all very fresh and delicious 10/10 would recommend (:

Jai H.

Yelp
If you're looking for delicious, fresh Thai food, then this is your spot. We tried the Aroy rolls and spin spin tato to start. The rolls were nice and crispy and paired really well with the sauce. The spin spin tato with cheese flavor was fun to look at and eat. We tried the Thai style omelet and Thai style beef as our entrees and those did not disappoint either. Serving sizes were ample without being too much or too little. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious, and with friendly customer service to top it off. Can't wait to try more items off the menu.

Jentry P.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food!! Very friendly, great variety, fresh and very organized! Also love that they do not use styrofoam containers. 100% recommend and will return regularly.
