"If you were planning a trip to Sagunt to discover its impressive heritage (castle, Roman theatre, Jewish quarter etc), there’s no excuse for not doing so, given that the town is also home to a gastronomic restaurant that is well worth a visit.This delightful eatery, occupying the former stables of the 16C Palacio de los Duques de Gaeta, features imposing stone arches that provide the backdrop for contemporary cuisine with a strong Mediterranean influence. Beautiful authentic interior, thought out to the smallest detail. Here the contents of the dishes are not revealed in advance, leaving it a secret until the moment of serving, and this element of surprise gives the culinary journey a special appeal. Each dish was a pleasant surprise, making us enjoy not only the taste, but also the very process of discovering new gastronomic delights. The taste unfolded inside, like a palette of culinary shades, starting with delicate notes and ending with deep, rich chords, leaving an unforgettable aftertaste for a long time. What a delight! Utterly delicious and expertly crafted food, superb service and beautiful surroundings to enjoy it all in. The white asparagus ice cream was superb, the savoury flan with the meat sauce was inspired and the eel dish was so good, I find myself daydreaming about it! If you enjoy fine dining and want a meal that will leave you grinning from ear to ear, this is the place for you. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Spectacular food with local produce from this Michelin star restaurant. Loved the play with food where some of the savoury options looked like dessert. Every bite bursting with flavour and well trained, knowledgeable staff to round out one of the best meals we've had in Spain since we moved here. Can't wait to go back...

This was an unexpected discovery on our trip around Spain. A truly wonderful meal with so many different flavors. The food , mainly fish is imaginative and beautifully presented. The service is unpretentious and informative. We did not want the paired wines but the sommelier was very helpful in choosing some local wines to accompany our tasting menu.

Wow what a find! The food here is exquisite, for us the best 1 star Michelin we've been to. This is a chef of rare talent who has the potential to make it to the very top of this particular game. The service is high class and the Sommelier interesting and knowledgeable. On their way up and fast Arrels is a treat for the senses and a must visit.

I've done other reviews about this restaurant, suffice to say that although the prices have increased, reflecting their status as a starred restaurant, the food is quite simply sublime. The service and experience are first-rate without straying into pretension. I go whenever I can afford to!
