Wow! What a great eating experience! Went here right before seeing a show and the food was quick!! Fresh and tasty! I will Definitely come here again. They have a great drink selection and if you decide to get a margarita You can choose how big you want it and if you want it frozen or regular and they had a bountiful selection of flavors. Brandon was our waiter and he was excellent! When we asked a question he never made us feel like we were a bother, even when splitting checks. The prices were reasonable as well 17 dollar entrees.

My 6th time in Nyc And ARRIBA ARRIBA is the first restaurant i visit as soon as i arrive ! The atmosphere at Arriba Arriba is truly special — the location is perfect, and sitting outside makes you feel immersed in the heartbeat of the city. It’s vibrant, lively, and full of that unmistakable New York energy. The staff are absolutely wonderful — warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming from the moment you walk in. They made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. As for the food… wow. Authentic Mexican cuisine at its finest! We had the chicken mole, and it was out of this world — the flavor, the texture, the presentation — everything was spot on. The fajitas were also top-tier, packed with flavor and beautifully served. But the real star of the show? The churros. Without exaggeration, these were the best churros I’ve had in my entire life. Crispy, warm, and absolutely unforgettable. If you’re looking for a true standout treat, don’t leave without trying them! Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back.

Google
Arriba Arriba is hands-down one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently amazing, I especially love the taco salad and the pechuga asada. Both dishes are packed with flavor and always cooked perfectly. The margaritas deserve their own shoutout, too. They're excellent across the board, but my personal favorite is the cucumber dill margarita. It’s refreshing, light, and not too sweet, just the way I like it. Beyond the food and drinks, the atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. The host and servers are always so friendly and welcoming. Every time I visit, I’m met with warm smiles and great energy. It’s truly a joy to be there. Highly recommend!

Google
This is a fun place to spend a couple hours in Hells Kitchen. The music is upbeat, the lighting is fairly low, the customers are animated & the vibe is chill. We ordered chips & salsa, a couple beers, followed by salad with shrimp and chicken mole enchiladas. All were delicious. A special shout out to Tony behind the bar who whipped up some delicious margaritas. He is charming and treats all his customers well.

Google
Walking through Hell’s Kitchen, we stumbled onto this deliciously, fun queer Mexican restaurant with some fantastic brunch options! I enjoyed the breakfast omelette and my friend enjoyed the Yucatán Eggs Benedict. The Mezcal Negroni was top notch and the atmosphere was extremely fun. Looking forward to the next visit.

Google
Brandon was the best at recommending dishes. His service was very professional, proficient and expedient. The food was delicious and the prices were great! Finally have a Taco Tuesday spot! Octopus and tres leche were to die for! Wow wow wow!

Google
I'm going to be honest I was a little bias because I'm a big fan about this one Mexicon spot me and my wife loves going to which I will not mention here cause this is Arriba Arriba review.. Ok I will start with the drink and I would say impressed but I kinda wanna try over cause anyone could get it right once, but was a good 8.3 out of 10.. The tacos now was delicious would go over and over for tacos..

Google
What happened to this place?? I used to love it here but we went tonight it took 40 minutes for our food to come out - one order of tacos and one order of nachos, that’s it. And the “nachos” were only 6 chips?! Yes they were good but 6 chips for $22?!?!? Yikes. And anyone who thinks these are the best margaritas in NYC hasn’t had one anywhere else.

Yelp
5 Stars -- Flavor, vibes, and a little tequila magic This cozy spot in Arriba Arriba Midtown is a whole vibe. The carnitas tacos? Juicy, crispy, and full of flavor easily some of the best I've had. The strawberry margarita was fresh, perfectly balanced, and just strong enough to make me forget my problems (and maybe my name). Great service, chill atmosphere, and I'll definitely be back. Might even bring a date if they're lucky.

Yelp
My friend knows Arriba Arriba for a long time -it's a staples in the neighborhood - and wanted me to try that place... First impression: Saturday at 6 pm (our reservation time before going to the show)- totally FULL!!! Big place and fully occupied! A lot of tables placed very closed to each other to fill more customers... and despite that- fully occupied. Margaritas are awesome-very easy to order-sizes and names of the drinks on the table already! I ordered small classic Margarita, which was like regular size in any restaurant... My friend's Medium-was like a beer bottle size! We ordered Guacamole -generous portion! And Salmon... salmon came with a green rice../ very delicately cooked, generous portion as well. I understood why the place was soo crowded: very good Margaritas/tasty food/reasonable prices/fast service! Nice ambience.:: Would definitely be back.

Yelp
Arriba Arriba is here to solve all your tex mex problems. This place takes me home. "Flat nachos" are perfect Tex-Mex style nachos, toppings on every chip. Their enchiladas suizas are great sour cream chicken enchiladas. Huge drinks. The only thing missing is the lack of legitimate queso. They have queso fundido which isn't the same thing. The Texans and non-Texans I've brought here have all enjoyed it. Love this place!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour before a show on a weeknight. I got a frozen margarita and shared their nachos and short rib tacos (2). The frozen margarita was delicious and strong! And surprisingly, not too sweet! I also liked how the nachos came dressed already with all the fixings, so I didn't need to mess with it a bunch. Tacos were decent, would give it a 3.5/5. A tad pricey for 2 tacos.
google avatar

Yelp
A chill local spot for a nice bite and drinks. The service is always friendly even if you have to wait a while but it's always a good time at Arriba.
google avatar

Yelp
Used to be so good, service isn't what it used to be unfortunately. Have been here a bunch of times and absolutely loved it, but the most recent visit will absolutely be our last. Food was still good, so I'd recommend to go!
google avatar

Jono M.

Yelp
It's as simple as this: their food is uninspired but their margaritas are fabulous. To explain further: the food is actually *very* underwhelming, which I don't think casual Mexican needs to be. But as many have said, the atmosphere and pregame essence are certainly there.

Yelp
No greeter at the door. After stand there for 10 mins. When finally sat the Waiter came over after another 10 mins never introduced himself at all.l had to ask for water as well Sat with no menu 1 other table sat after me was seen right away with the drinks and menus and greeting . No customer service at all Food. When the food was brought out it was place down splashing sauce on the table and on the one existing napkin I had. Rice tasted burned. Asked for salsa and was brought out a bottle of hot sauce. When I asked for salsa the person (not my waiter again) said I didn't make myself clear. Other wise it was alright. Customer service: Non existent especially if you are by yourself. The only time I saw my waiter was when he took my order and then brought me the check. Was not the best service I've received and the worst part is the service staff didn't seem to care. When I got my check I noticed I was over charged and brought it to someone's attention. Again was greeted with attitude when told he up charge is in the menu. Once I noticed it I was fine but still could have been better without the attitude When I see wait staff complain about wages and such I do understand (living wages and such) but if you want to be tipped and appreciated for the hard jobs you do, treat your customers as if you want them at your establishment instead of an inconvenience. I also spoke to the manager and all he did was try to gaslight me by saying this is a family owned establishment and we try our best and literally said that this was his form of an apology for bad service All around about a 1.5 star experience. I take it back negative 5

Yelp
Spectacular authentic food and delicious margaritas! Service was great and staff were all very kind and very quick! We sat on the patio with a heater and were very comfortable. It was nice to be able to see the city moving around us! We had the enchiladas mole, plátano macho relleno, and sashimi tacos. Everything was delicious but i will say the sashimi tacos are a bit small, but we're also delicious! The coconut margarita was incredible and my husband said his strawberry margarita was delicious!

Yelp
My statement from 18 years ago still holds true. Really great margaritas and a chill space to hang out with friends. I came after a screening on 54th street and enjoyed re-connecting with a friend and talking about the film. The service was friendly and quick but sometimes I felt a little pushy in an attempt to constantly upsell. I understand that the pandemic was rough on many small restaurants but there must be a middle ground.
google avatar

Timothy C.

Yelp
Went for happy hour, tacos were expensive and tiny. Not worth it at all. Elote and chips were fine. Margaritas tasted really off, not good at all. Seemed like a combination of both bad tequila and bad mix. Service was fine. Restaurant was super packed for reasons I will never understand.

Yelp
We've only ever done take out from here, so I can't speak to their in-restaurant service, but when it comes to take out, Arriba Arriba is our favorite go to Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. The delivery is always fresh. The food is consistently good. And we've never had a meal we haven't liked ... Except ... not sure how they can justify charging $12 for a teeny tiny dessert that lacks taste. That we don't recommend. And don't expect them to take accountability for it. As the manager we spoke said, "not our problem." Come to think about it, we haven't ordered from there since. Still, I offer a fair four-star review based on the prior experience.
google avatar

Chrissy L L.

Yelp
How is this place no rated higher. The chips and salads were spectacular, the service was astounding and the food was the best Mexican I've ever had. Loved the entire experience
google avatar

Sophie G.

Yelp
The quesadillas and birria tacos were so good. We also had the salsa which was the perfect spice. Our server was so nice and the frozen margs are yummy!
google avatar

Harlan L.

Yelp
Almost comical in its mediocrity. Probably the worst Mexican food I've had in New York in pretty much forever. An ok glass of white sangria. Nachos that were lukewarm andpoor, and enchiladas suizas that were close to inedible. We both had the same thing. It's been here forever and seems popular so I figure the owners put in the minimal effort because they can. The waiter was friendly.
google avatar

Adrian G.

Yelp
Great service. Hot servers. A very festive environment. The food was ok. I got chips and salsa and the carnitas tacos. The tacos are the small street taco type. Small but lots of filling. Not bad. A good place to go for drinks with friends.
google avatar

Julien D.

Yelp
Jumbo margaritas Great service Great place to meet with friends in Manhattan after works It's not Gordon Ramsay food quality but this place brings the atmosphere and the quality of drinks you need for a night out with friends
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Fun spot in Hell's Kitchen with ample outdoor space and a great happy hour. We enjoyed our margaritas and tacos, and the service was attentive. Pulpo y chorizo tacos were especially tasty. Four starts only for the portion size - you only get two tacos per order.

Garrett W.

Yelp
$19 margarita and a $9 upcharge on top of that for espolon....? Wonder what a top shelf margarita would've costed. $77 for two margaritas and a scoop of ice cream. Bartender was nice, but an absolute ripoff for a very mediocre place. Get your pricing in order. Can get a cheaper drink at the polo club
google avatar

Christopher R.

Yelp
Came with high hopes, left pretty underwhelmed. Margaritas were decent but not strong and the food was lackluster. The portion sizes were also on the smaller side, which left me wanting more. The service was average, nothing particularly outstanding but not terrible either. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like they were overwhelmed and not entirely attentive to our needs. Overall, this Mexican restaurant was just average. If you're looking for a place to enjoy some decent margaritas, it might be worth a visit. However, if you're seeking an authentic and memorable Mexican culinary experience, you might want to explore other options in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here without a reservation for a late Sunday brunch and was easily able to find seating inside. The food was very good since I love chilaquiles and steak. The steak itself was very good. I don't see this combo very often and the price was a nice surprise around $20 if I remember correctly. I really like that they use fresh puree and juices. The hibiscus was under the fresh juices, but if I didn't know any better, it tasted like syrup before mixing the bottom of the glass. The service was really attentive. The decor is vibrant, but busy.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE Arriba Arriba...ambiance, food, and tequila are the main reasons to come to this Hell's Kitchen gem! Let's start with the amazing octopus appetizer...if you like octopus or never tried before this is shareable for the table and delicious. It is layered with an avocado hummus but the star of the plate is the roasted red peppers chipotle sauce. I don't know what's in the sauce but I would buy to take home and cook with or just dip tortilla chips in it as a snack. I ordered the enchilada suizas (recommended by waiter) with shrimp...it's a green sauce layered with cheese and with the refried beans and rice is perfection to the tastebuds. My friend ordered the carne asada and he said it was seasoned well and very tender. Of course we ordered frozen margaritas cuz it was 90 degrees today; watermelon and pineapple. Do not get fooled by the first sip as it seems really light; just wait the tequila is taking its time LOL. I like that they offer frozen and on the rocks as well as different size (ounces) options. FYI for my true Mexican food lovers chips and salsa are not complimentary but worth the additional charge...has a lil bit of a spicy kick.
google avatar

Cam D.

Yelp
super pricey for not great food and low tier margs and all our server wanted to do was find ways to upsell us from the start. guy (unprompted) brought out a birthday churro for us at the end and then charged us $10 for it
google avatar

Danny L.

Yelp
This is my go to Mexican food restaurant when I'm in NYC. I always get a table right when I show up, the waiters are awesome. The food is incredible. The drinks are amazing the disco music and the mirrorball make for a memorable evening. It's not always playing, but when you catch it, it can lift your 1970s memories alive. It does it every time for me and Suzanne, my Long Island friend, who comes into the city so we can just hang, have a delicious meal and a great evening OK so not only are the waiters good looking, Not only are the waiters hot bit they are always incredibly friendly, outgoing and make the best suggestions. I never care about rhe bill, I just pay it and that's the best You can say about any restaraunt.
google avatar

Rafael D.

Yelp
Right in the heart of Manhattan's Theater District, this is a good spot. The food and drinks were good for a quick bite if you're in the area. The chicken tamal was my favorite out of the items we selected because of the mole sauce. I would probably say this spot is more appropriate for adults not necessarily for a family with kids. Spacing is a little tight but we're are talking about Midtown so it's understandable. I'm comfortable giving it three stars because it was good spot but not necessarily a go-to for me.
google avatar

Benny R.

Yelp
Ok y'all hear me out...so this is FAR from authentic Mexican food. The food isn't really that amazing (but it's good/passable). The music is kinda too loud and the bathroom trashcans are often overflowing. BUT come here for the margaritas. I am talking low grade, cruise ship style, Vegas style frozen margaritas. Amazing (Never said I was classy y'all). They come in different sizes from small to huge. There's a lot of places in the city I can get some fancy schmancy curated non frozen margarita. Sometimes I just want a damn frozen margarita. This place hits the spot.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
I think I found my favorite spot for enchiladas suizas! Seriously the tastiest enchilada suizas I've had. The perfect amount of cheese, sauce, chicken to balance itself out! The portion is enough to satisfy you without feeling too full- though I admit they're so good that they always leave me wanting for more. Space is clean, staff are friendly. I have not tried anything else here- probably should - but I am so hooked I don't see myself wanting to try anything else.
google avatar

Gerard P.

Yelp
This is a great little restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, which is right across the street from another cute spot, Empanada Mama. I had some appetizers-a few plantain and chorizo dishes-which were delicious. The service was prompt, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. The spacing was packed a bit tight, but otherwise, I have very few complaints.
google avatar

Haley H.

Yelp
The highlight of Arriba Arriba was our server Cody. I'm always asking "What's your favorite dish?" and when I'm met with a confident answer, I know I'm sitting in the right section. The inside is a tad bit cramped but you'd rather sit outside anyways. If it's your first time get the California burrito to be safe or try the crepa de camarones for an underground pick. The jalapeño pineapple marg was sooo goood!
google avatar

Divya D.

Yelp
Ok . Drinks are great , this is the only fun part. Service is good. Ambiance is more of a Tex mex kinda. But, food needs some improvement. My fish tacos were black and burnt and chewy. Their Mexican rice was good.
google avatar

Kellianne H.

Yelp
Do yourself a solid and come here. Margaritas are the bomb and sneak up on you...and the frozen ones are even better. The food comes out hot and quick and the service is impeccable.
google avatar

Jess W.

Yelp
I would have given it 3 stars IF at least the portions were bigger or actually are what they claim they are. It's not even Tex Mex. What it should be renamed: Abajo Abajo We ordered food because you just can't sit to have drinks even when it's not busy. You get charged for chips and salsa too. Passion Fruit Margarita Tia Size $15.50 They claim it's 16 oz but I feel like the cup doesn't get filled It's strong Mango Margarita Tia Size $15.50 They claim it's 16 oz but I feel like the cup doesn't get filled It's strong Chips and salsa Mild salsa We were charged $2.50 for this and it's supposed to be provided for each table at regular and authentic restaurants, a small portion of course Short ribs tacos $13.95 2 small street size tacos You have to pay extra for beans and rice Shrimp tempura tacos $13.95 They are not shrimp tempura so I am not sure about the name, it's simply deep fried shrimp. The batter is not even the same. Once again, 2 small street size tacos. You have to pay extra for beans and rice Servers, servers everywhere but not one to take approve your seating or know where to seat you. 15% is the absolute lowest I will ever tip. $66.85 before tip $77 after tip

Yelp
Came here with my Aunt for a quick Lunch/Brunch stop in! Food is amazing ! Off of the weekend brunch menu my aunt had the Steak Chilaquiles with poached eggs. I Had the carnitas and stnachos and a coconut margarita with Tajín Definitely will be back!
google avatar

Vishnu G.

Yelp
I had a vegetable chimichanga and chips with guacamole. The flavors were all quite good. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Friday night and we ended up having to wait a while to get seated, but that's to be expected. Especially after ordering drinks, the price felt a bit steep, but overall it was a good experience.
google avatar

Jimmy L.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere, service and of course our dinner. I'm a steak guy, so of course I'm gonna go for the Carne Asada, and ohh boy it was probably one of the best I've ever had! Wonderful presentation like a crown of great goodness around a bed of rice. The spice was excellent, although a tomatino sauce was provided, didn't need it. The service was excellent. The atmosphere intimate and yet festive. And the service was excellent. Yes, I also had a red sangria and it accompanied the meal quite well. Started with a bowl of freshly made nachos and a very tasty guacamole dip. I gotta say that this was my best meal during my visit here. Loved it and highly recommend. Come visit and see for yourself you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Mary A.

Yelp
Great food and great experience. The decor is fun and cozy and the food is great. Service was also prompt and polite. Loaded nachos with shredded chicken added were presented very nicely. Believe me when I say there were more toppings than chips. The short rib tacos were sooo good and flavorful. Mind you they are street sized tacos (they're small) but they were packed to the brim and I also got a side of Spanish rice and black beans and that had me perfectly content at the end of dinner. The hot sauce was hot but I loved it!!! It packs a punch so be weary. I saw other tables ordering these monster sized burritos so I'm definitely going back for those
google avatar

Doc F.

Yelp
I make a point of coming in here every time I'm in New York. It's in Hells Kitchen right on 9th and definitely LGBT friendly which is a priority for me. Anyways, service has always been so nice and I'm usually alone haha so it's extra meaningful because traveling alone can be lonely. So thanks for always making me feel welcome :) Also, being from the Western USA I find that it's harder to find good Mexican food in the East but I think Arriba Arriba does a great job. The queso fundido is delicious and I honestly gorged myself this time haha also great giant margaritas too! I shall definitely return!
google avatar

Dar C.

Yelp
I called to make a reservation for about 12. Arriba Arriba was super friendly and accommodating to my family. They took my name and said a table would be ready for us when we got there. The staff were super attentive and helpful. Michael was our waiter and was superb and always checking up on us. Thanks for a great experience. My family visiting from Cali enjoyed their time and meal at your restaurant.
google avatar

Alyson Y.

Yelp
Great spot in Hell's Kitchen. Humongous margs, happy hour, sangria... what else do you need?! The vibe is great and service is friendly. Both food and drinks are delicious. The interior is pretty festive. Was only here for happy hour and I loved the queso. Good portions as well and reasonably priced. Would recommend for a happy hour, late-night or a casual dinner spot.
google avatar

Debbie S.

Yelp
Delicious and so festive! It's loud a small group of 2 or maybe 4 people to come here is best. Super yummy food and nice wait staff! Absolutely loved the melt in your mouth beef brisket soft tacos! Not big but full of flavor! Chicken alambre was awesome! Perfect dish to share or have a nice big portion.
google avatar

Edward K.

Yelp
Good food, service, atmosphere, and of course, margaritas! And the owner is a sweetheart.

Yelp
In a nutshell: It's the premiere Mexican restaurant for Hells Kitchen homofriends and their allies to hangout, with a consistently middle-of-the-road service level. THE GOOD At this point, consistently dining out to all types of restaurants in NYC, is that #PartyOfOne almost ALWAYS get a chair. So I suppose that I will need to stop to mentioning this as something worth mentioning unless is Madison 5 or some other hard-to-get restaurant. Alas, I DO appreciate being recognized here by some of the staff... WHY do I never luck out on waiters... THE WORST I REALLY WANT TO LIKE this restaurant because I enjoy their margarita flavors and, although with a limited Vegan range (please note that beans have pork on it, if you are Vegan avoid them) their vegetarian dishes are typically good. The part where typically goes low is in the service. Understandably large groups would demand more attention, but being busy or being slow the waiters I get have 0 knowledge on how to really be great at what they do, so larger tips would normally follow. The one I had took my order, another person delivers the food which has a far friendlier demeanor and would rather continue to deal with than my waiter. As is standard here, dishes are not seasoned so one has to ask for salt with the hopes it brings the food to live... That vegetables chimichanga had the texture of canned vegetables and its bland color didn't add to the overall culinary experience. I suppose that, if I were able to eat the beans they served with it, all the flavors together would tie better but still... that filling was just sad. The coconut flavored frozen margarita in such gargantuan size makes me and the rest of the neighborhood very very happy and reason this is a 3 and not a 2 stars review. THE BEST In a similar fashion than at other popular American food restaurant I've reviewed recently, it is the OTHER people at the restaurant (including HOT waiters I wish I get next time, WINK WINK) that actually makes a rather typical diner into a fun, pleasurable dining experience. I'm really bad with names, but I appreciate the host and the manager smiles and always upbeat demeanor. Little talk with your clients, making them feel acknowledged as you've been there before and appreciative of it that, under other circumstances would had merit a 5 stars review. THE BAD Fbb
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
This must be the gayest Mexican place in Hell's Kitchen. If you're a gay in New York I'm sure you've gone eaten here at least once. Solid food, decent prices. The most recent time I went they took our order and the food came out so quickly we could hardly believe it, so it's a good place if you are needing food quick after happy hour.
google avatar

Jerry J.

Yelp
Ok. Mexican food, I love it all good people do. If you just so happen to be in Hells Kitchen in mid town Manhattan and not in Mexico, and you need Mexican food, because that happens. Get yourself to 766 Ninth Ave. I started with the chicken soup, give me a minute, ok, it was so freaking good, lots of tinder slow cooked chicken avocado and a delicious broth. At that point I was very happy, but I didn't stop there, I moved on to the chimichanga, they have beef, pork or chicken, I had the chicken. I know what you're thinking, chicken again? I got stuck and no one stopped me. I should get better friends. The margarita, cocktails are a pretty good size, in all the popular flavors, I had a regular frozen, brain freeze ensued after the first two sips be warned. The service was really good we were there at lunch time and our orders came right away. Ok let recap. You want Mexican food, but you're not in Mexico, you're in Hell's Kitchen, get to 766 ninth Ave. You're buying the next time.

Yelp
Update website to match the current offers. They do not honor the deals they advertise on their site
google avatar

Jack J.

Yelp
This is a solid hell's kitchen establishment. The food and drinks and service are really good and consistent. Been coming here for at least 15 years.
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
This is a very standard Mexican restaurant although I found the service to be pretty average. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced given their size, you can also blend fruit or flavors into your margarita which is nice. I ordered the veggie platter, and while I'm thrilled they had a good healthy vegetarian option on the menu, the dish wasn't well cooked. Further, the service when seating outdoors was very slow, we had to wait quite a while between visits to our table from the server.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
it was a cold night and I hadn't had anything to eat since lunch. I was walking around 9th avenue to see what interested me and I realized that I hadn't had Mexican food in some time. I really like Arriba Arriba and it was a Sunday night and there was not problem getting a table since most of the theater crowd had already headed home or back to the burbs. I got a table right away and water was brought to the table. I opted not to get chips and salsa since I didn't want to fill up on that and ruin my meal. I looked over the menu and decided to get the shrimp fajitas. Christian was my server. My food arrived shortly after sizzling hot along with a condiment tray including sour cream, pico di gallo, guacamole and shredded cheese. The food was delicious The restaurant is clean, the service punctual and the staff accommodating and the price is reasonable for the area. The restroom was also very clean and well maintained. I would recommend and return.

Yelp
The original place we wanted to dine at didn't have dine-in. So we settled for this place. They did have a super cute outdoor seating setup. We got a table in the back corner of the sidewalk which was good since we were on a date. The host seated us, but did not mention anything about scanning the QR code for the menu which is a fail on his part. I know that's the norm for most places now, but it wasn't obvious to us that was what we had to do. Most places where you have to scan a QR code make it very obvious by having some sort of sign facedown on the table. This place had theirs on those acrylic display signs where restaurants usually advertise their specials. So we didn't pay attention to it, and were both waiting for menus. At least 10-15 mins passed by before the waiter came and told us that. Then maybe another 15 mins before he came back to take our orders. I ordered enchiladas and my date ordered chicken tacos. I was shocked to see how teeny tiny his tacos were. Two 3.5-4" tortilla tacos on a small salad plate with a half a wedge of lime. Pitiful. It was maybe a 3-biter if a guy was being dainty. It was like an appetizer sized taco. Maybe a child would be full to have as an entree. I don't think any adults would lol. He had to order another order and he was still hungry $22 later. I felt bad for him. My enchiladas suizas were properly portioned and quite delicious. Possibly the best I ever had. As for the ambiance, it's cute but super loud. Especially on a Friday night. Not super ideal for a first date. Service was meh as well.
