Went for an early lunch to celebrate a birthday. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful day. Art & Soul has great service, even on the patio. Sometime restaurants tend to favor the inside, here the service was just as good outside. Had a light lunch and a bottle of white wine. The wine was brought with a cooler to keep it the proper temperature which was an added service. So in short, food is delicious, service is spot on and the wine list is great! Also important to note, they do offer half portions for those looking to a light lunch. Inside can get a bit loud when very full.

I really don’t like writing but I’m visiting Lincoln, NE and I have happy tears and want to make sure you all get the opportunity to try this restaurant! Art & Soul is one of my FAVORITE places I’ve ever eaten!!! Unique food, healthy and fresh, decor was clean and modern, but warm and inviting at the same time. It’s family owned - in fact the whole family works there and still enjoys each other’s company outside of work 🙂. They design the decor, menu’s, and strategies as a family and they have definitely succeeded! To top off all the delicious food, my server and everyone who worked there had enthusiasm, smiles, personable, and genuine! In fact, another customer near me just stood up to leave, shook his server’s hand and said “Excellent service sir!” For the food….. This French toast is the best and most unique I’ve ever had! It’s covered in corn flakes with a cream cheese, strawberry, jalapeño filling! A little sweetness with a little heat - beautifully balanced flavors, unique, and it’s so perfect! I also got the Benedict Hammy. Excellent! I’ve been searching for the perfect holladaise sauce for 13 years and I finally found it! The sauce actually has flavor- it has just the right amount of lemon in it but not too much! Also, the consistency wasn’t too thin or too thick - it was perfect! The candied ham added the perfect amount of flavor but didn’t overpower. The egg was cooked perfectly as well - not too runny and not overcooked! The pita gravy nachos!!!! So unique and delicious! The gravy was loaded with flavor - but didn’t taste like I was eating straight up sausage. Wow! The latte was delicious! I got the Snickerdoodle Butternut Latte and it was perfect! It didn’t taste burnt or watered down. The Herbal Infused lemonade was amazing! (Mint, thyme, rosemary, dill, and lavender) I could actually taste the herbs! Also, a lot of time lemonade tastes water down or too sweet - not this one! Perfect in every way! I would say this place is perfection! Thank you for this unforgettable experience Art & Soul! I’ll be back!!!!! Please note, these pictures don’t do justice

Dine in, great service. The salmon was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Delicious! The pear/pecan salad very good, fresh. This was a great find in Lincoln. I’ve definitely got to make time for a return visit.

Showed up on July 3rd in the afternoon and they were the only place open. The food was taking a little long but not enough to worry when the owner came out to tell us that they had some issues in the kitchen they were resolving. It was amazing to see the owner go to every table to let them know what was happening. Food came out not too long after and was honestly delicious. The beef dip was perfect. The only thing better than the food was the sercvice. Our waitress was very responsive and kind. Would highly recommend.

Recently dined at a nearby favorite Art & Soul. Started with the Greek Nachos, highly recommend! The roasted peppers, pickled onions, artichokes, all are incredibly tasty. Topped with amazing hummus, olive tapenade, balsamic, each delicious in their own right. Rounded out with cukes, pepperoncini, tomatoes, feta. So Freaking Good! My husband saw the Meatloaf on their specials menu and got super excited. Had a moment when told they were out ☹️. Instead he went with the Bahn Mac. Beef, bbq, pickled veggies, and Sriracha. He loved it, said he'd totally get it again. It was the most complimentary he's ever been about mac & cheese 😆. Was also impressed with the Tomato Basil Feta Soup and Yummy Cappuccino ☕️. I ordered a 1/2 sandwich, the Cheese Toastie, which I've had before. It's supposed to have 3 kinds of cheese and a garlic aioli. Unfortunately the filling was almost nonexistent. At 9 bucks I'm really hoping it was just a fluke. Super bummed 🫤. Conversely, the 1/2 Pear Pecan Salad (minus bacon) I also had was overflowing with toppings! Pears, cranberries, pecans, chunks of boursin, and a maple mustard dressing. 10 outta 10! Lastly I enjoyed an Aloha Margarita. Layers of flavors, citrus and coconut. It was great! This place is a little on the pricey side but seems to prioritize quality ingredients. Service was attentive and collaborative. They also have a Grab & Go Cooler filled with soups, dips, desserts, bread, etc. If so inclined they offer various cooking classes, evenings with live music, and other events. It's a good page to follow for updates!

The Nebraska Passport brought my husband and myself to Art & Soul. Oh my, what a treasure! We each had an absolutely delicious meal, and shared a refreshing lemonaide flight. The food was so fresh and the flavors melded together perfectly! Anxious to come back!

This was a fantastic place to grab lunch! The atmosphere inside was so cool, all the menu items sounded tasty, and the service was phenomenal. I was staying in a nearby hotel while I was in town and did a quick search on google to see what was in the area. After looking at the menu and the pictures on their page I decided that I needed to try out Art & Soul. The staff greeted me and took me to my table right away. I soon had a glass of water in front of me and my drink order was being taken. With all the good sounded options on the menu it was a little hard to pick just one thing, but I chose the Moroccan flat bread and I’m happy to say it was amazing! I grabbed a slice of carrot cake on the way out since it was so highly recommended, it was incredible. Definitely a cool little cafe lunch spot worth trying

Yelp
My favorite spot for a good flatbread, wine or a salad! Me and my coworkers always end up here after work grabbing some drinks. Their sangria is SO good. The owner is always welcoming and friendly when we come in. The strawberry walnut salad is my favorite. Their outdoor patio is so fun and nice when it's warm enough out. I have yet to try one of their cooking classes which I know will be great! Can't wait to get the chance to try.

Yelp
Art and Soul was recommended by two different people on our Nebraska Passport trip to Lincoln and so we decided to give it a try and boy are we glad we did! I ordered the Philly flatbread pizza and my husband spotted the beef drip right away and made his choice quickly. Both meals were in the $15 range and arrived quickly. The carmelized onions were the highlight on both orders although the flavoring on the meats was on point. The sandwich came with kettle chips and tasty au jus. Our server, Megan, took our order and had our water poured and ready in minutes. Our food arrived very quickly and looked as delicious as it tasted. Our server checked on us during our meal but never interrupted conversation and was attentive to keeping our glasses filled and having our check ready as we finished eating. Art and Soul offers classes (schedule on web site and at checkout) and has music nights. I can see why Lincolnites recommend Art and Soul--I will be doing the same.

Yelp
best gluten free brunch in Lincoln! (highly recommend the cauliflower pizza or benedicts)

Yelp
Great atmosphere (outdoor seating), but a really long wait for food. Came in for group dinner to enjoy a jazz band event they have going on. That was the highlight of the night. As for the wait... I highly suggest NOT getting any of their flatbread unless you're OK with waiting a while. The staff are attentive and friendly. Really a 3.5 star place, but will round up for the Jazz event.

Mona M.

Yelp
We had a girls brunch and it was perfect. They have options for our GF friend. We hung out for awhile and they were attentive but not overbearing.

Yelp
Visited 2 months ago. Got seated right away. Our waitress was nice. The food was amazing. Got the half "french dip." Was smaller than i thought but packed with flavor.

Yelp
Finding delight in outdoor dining this season. Art & Soul was designed for the al fresco experience. Plenty of space in the lovely sidewalk cafe. There is a dining room but if the weather holds, choose the patio. Beautiful salads, thoughtfully prepared sandwiches, inspired flat breads make up the bulk of their menu. Soup of the day is often a great choice to accompany another item. Haven't tried dessert but would bet they're as delicious as everything else.

Cherie L.

Yelp
Sorry, but Art and Soul priced me and many of my freinds, out of their lunch market. A grilled cheese and cup of tomato soup was $14.00 without a beverage. That did include a $2.00 tip. Service is good, portions are small. A cup of $7.00 soup in under a cup. You also don't see many Men in there. Food in good, ambience is good, just too expensive for a perfectly diet-sized meal.

Yelp
Our first time here and my husband and I we were mostly happy with our experience. It's a great atmosphere and smells absolutely amazing. Tables are spaced out for social distancing and they have a nice patio option outside as well. We went for lunch and my husband had a nice Cabernet. We got their French Dip, Mac and Cheese, along with a Strawberry Salad. The sandwich and salad were AMAZING, but I wasn't a huge fan of the Mac and Cheese. The portions for the full-sized sandwich were a bit small especially for the price, but with a side it was very filling and the salad portion was great. As far as service goes, everyone was very nice but I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a rush for a quick lunch. My husband and I sat down at 2:15 and we didn't get our food until 3:30pm and left at 4pm. They were busy with a party in the back and a full dining room and only four people working it seemed, but since we weren't in a rush we weren't upset about it by any means. Would come here again on a free evening and hoping to take a cooking class here as as well.

Yelp
The food was good, but the portions are extremely small -- and pretty expensive for as little as you are getting. Lox and toast: One slice of bread that is approximately 1/2 to 2/3rds the size of a normal piece of sandwich bread. Maybe 2oz of salad greens with a vinaigrette. Basically a small appetizer portion and served on a dessert plate to hide how tiny it is. -- 10$ Potato bowl: The bowl was about half the size of the cappuccino cup. It was about 2/3rds full. (About 5 oz of potato.) The potato bits were weirdly small and about 1/3 of the bowl was onion. It was over spiced. ($5) Cappuccino: Was mostly milk. The Mill should probably intervene on their cappuccino abuse. Maybe this place is okay for dessert after you get dinner at one of the neighboring restaurants, but I would skip if you actually want a meal.

Yelp
I didn't dine here but I got food from here that was delivered to Boiler Brewing. They were super fast with their service and the food was pretty good as well. The Greek Nachos were fine. Tons of flavor and toppings. Great pita to toppings ratio as well. I wish the pita was a bit crisper to give a more nacho-like feel. Prices were ok as well. Would like to dine in some time and try the full menu.

Kathrina S.

Yelp
Do not order delivery. My only experience is this restaurant is what the sent as my DoorDash order. It cost me over 40 bucks for two entree salads and tomato soup. They require you to spend 3 dollars on bread and I selected the toasted sourdough. That's the photo of two pieces of bread. Three dollars folks! And the salads as entrees really means four small slices of chicken. Lettuce is clearly bagged and not prepared by the kitchen because I had complete pieces of lettuce, stem in tact: I could make this meal at home, and better, for five bucks. Chicken slivers were dry. Save your money and splurge on a salad at Venue bc it's the same price but the value you pay for.

Yelp
The cook said he put extra chicken on the Greek nachos but there was NO CHICKEN and we paid extra for it there was also no olives!!! This is the 2nd time we have been here and everytime we walk in the lady at the front looks at us like we don't belong there the food is over priced for the cheap quality of their food its awful I could get a better sandwich from subway won't go there again!

Claire J.

Yelp
Prices went up. I had a half sandwich and a half salad and was charged $19. What a rip off!!!! I know prices are going up all around but that is extreme! You lost a regular group of customers.

Adam T.

Yelp
Great local spot! My favorite are the flatbreads. I also really like the wine selection.

Nancy H.

Yelp
A few friends gathered here yesterday for lunch and it was perfect. The shaded patio was quiet and perfect for conversation. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was 5 stars also. The Ghost sandwich was delicious and the pear salad was fresh and yummy.

Nancy B.

Yelp
We were greeted when we walked in and sat at a table. There we sat for 10 minutes and watched 4 servers stand around the register talking. There was also a drink and a plate of food sitting on the bar waiting to be served to a customer but no one took the time to take it to them. We sat there another 7-10 minutes and we're never waited on so we walked out. I would like to say this was our first time there and needless to say, we won't go back! Absolutely poor customer service!!

Yelp
This place is the bomb open Monday thru Saturday 2-8 pm Sunday 1-5 pm. Check out Chef Vaughns creations!!

Yelp
Always good! Food is fresh and the kitchen can accommodate your little changes. The ghost with braised beef, do it! You will understand when you get there. Wine and beer selection is strong and worth exploring. A favorite for us, happy hour and prosecco! Staff are friendly, and a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy and tell me what you think about the pic behind the bar. Golden buffalo?

Yelp
Good food, friendly owner and staff. Bright, cheery decor. Try and help them recover/survive!!!

Yelp
Many signature menu with fresh ingredients but small portion. I like it though. The staff was kind. I would like to go back to lounge time

Yelp
We stopped in to check it out. We liked the menu and the service. The food seemed fresh and the prices were a little high but the quality of the food was worth it. There also seemed to be some cooking courses and other classes that seemed interesting. Overall, definitely worth stopping in.

Yelp
I absolutely love the food at Art & Soul. The flatbreads are great and the pick-two lunch is always yummy. The baked goods might be the best. Recently we tried the Sunday brunch and it was delicious as well. The servers are polite and competent. My only con is the price/portion size ratio.

Yelp
I was desperate to get 2 custom mats cut for framing before visitors arrived in two days. I called reliable Frameworks and found they'd moved and changed their name to Art & Soul. I was ready to condemn them for moving far south but due to my situation had to bite my tongue and make the drive. Best decision I've made. Madison and Anthony were great. Can't say that they'll always be able but they were happy to cut the mats while I waited. Even better, Madison looked at my prints and pulled out the best color choices for me to pick from for matting. It was wonderful to have someone working there because they were artistic rather than just wanting a paycheck. Props to them for not batting an eye when I drug in my clearance frames from a discount store rather than picking one of their frames. All this service and the prices for custom mats were still comparable to the chain stores. The European looking building is kind of hidden location behind Campbell's Nursery. The artwork by local artists displayed in the shop inspired me to want to do great things with my decor and next door is a small cafe perfect for soup or sandwich while you wait.

Sean D.

Yelp
Very fun and the food is incredible. They put on classes where you can learn a new dish or maybe a dessert. Very clean and the staff is wonderful. If you are in South Lincoln, head over for lunch and have a sandwich.
google avatar

Chancie B.

Yelp
The food was great, granted I got the Peanut Butter and jelly, but the wait for our food -all sandwiches- was horrible. It took 45 minutes just to get them out. If they would work on the time it takes to make the food and get it out maybe it would boost the ratings and get more people coming in.

John K.

Yelp
6 people for Christmas night out and 55 minutes later they forgot two of the six orders. Then they pretty much ignored it until we had the rest of the group eat theirs before getting cold. The forgotten soup they finally brought was inedible and they admitted they needed to make fresh. The flatbreads which should only take ten minutes to push out the window still had not come out where we told the manager to forget it. They were going to give us a slice a cake but on the bill they charged us for the Slice of cake and also left the unserved flatbreads on the bill. This does not even take into account the quality. Save yourself some money and go to Hyvee grab some nann bread and dress it with your favorite toppings. Service was tepid and lacking and the manager was not even sincere in what they said to our table. Please either change or close. You give foodservice a terrible name. 32 years of being in foodservice knows and respects all places that at least try and at least care. I know that mistakes happen but this again was not one of those moments. Do not eat here.
