Stygian Corporation Launches First Black-Owned Bourbon in Oakland | Eater SF
"At Oakland's Art & Soul Festival in August, I saw Stygian sell out its People’s Bourbon and Juice bottled cocktail—the first and only time the company has poured for the public so far." - Janelle Bitker
This festival gets better and better because is the mecca of blackness combined with great musical acts, unique vendors and the food stands which are diverse, but this ywar I missed the BBQ competition, the blues stage was LIT and the vibes from folks was awesome...oh! and Oakanda showed up! I couldn't ask for more.

Had a great time there this weekend. Weather was nice. Music sounded good. The crowd was well mannered.(mostly). And security was second to none. Oakland Art and Soul was a definite success.

The 2019 fest was a little smaller than in previous years, but still had some great finds with the vendors that were there. The live music adds to that "feel good" vibe that I love about Oakland. Glad to help support the community.

Best city with potential to have the best festival on the west coast but the city doesnt like to pay artist, employees, nobody lol. So its mediocre at the moment actually do to oakland not getting A-list anybody to perform neither day. I loved it(5 stars) because it's my city and my people, it definitely has potential to be special.

Another year at this great event. So much terrific music and interesting and helpful vendors like Optimized Wellness Center where I leaned about true health and addressing the root cause at the source.
