Google
I’ve had to downgrade my rating. Because although I enjoy performing at ArtBar and supporting my friends - they have very subpar SOUND. They use speakers way too big for a small room so the sound is always too loud to enjoy. The mixer is to the side of the stage so even well meaning people who try to get good sound can’t actually HEAR the changes they are making to each channel properly. Each time I have performed there a speaker or two is always blown out or subs aren’t working. It’s frustrating to say the least and a bit unprofessional. I’m hoping that leaving a review will finally get the owners to pay attention since me speaking to the bar staff to pass the message along hasn’t made any difference. They need to please HIRE a resident sound engineer and place her AT FRONT OF HOUSE in front of the short side of the bar facing the stage, in a little sound booth. Then replace the enormous overkill speakers with smaller balanced speakers mounted at specific places on the walls above the microphone levels all though the gallery for even sound. Then they need to provide smaller stage monitors so the musical acts and comics can HEAR THEMSELVES properly and not crank the HOUSE LEVELS UP which creates a nightmare bounce of the sound against the walls. PLEASE PLEASE DO THIS AND SEE HOW MUCH CLEANER YOUR SOUND WILL BE AND YOUR BAR WILL BE BOOKED SOLID ♥️✌🏽🎶🎙️🎼🎸🥁🔥

Awesome new neighborhood bar, featuring unique artworks from many different artists. Good sized back room is perfect for various events they will host, including live music, performances, comedy shows, art shows, etc. It's so cool inside, every detail is clearly well planned and interesting looking. Mar Vista is lucky to have this new spot! Beer and some other options for now, wine to come in the future. Staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming.

I don't know much for food or service since I performed here! Which was so fun! Sound and visual artists were amazing and it was a fun night. Good indie art 🎨 and music space!

Amazing quirky hidden gem beer only bar in Mar Vista. I love the changing art installations. Makes for a unique experience every visit. They do lots of other activities if you follow them on Instagram, and Josh the bartender is super friendly.

Very limited drink selections. Very nice bartender. Art would have been cool if we weren’t alone in the bar, and being alone with dolls stapled to canvases is … different. It felt like a Tuesday at a carnival.

Google
Incredibly rude venue owner, treats people like trash. Beers cost far more than reasonable. Be sure to come here if you're in the business of paying $14 for a mediocre IPA.

Yelp
One of my favorite musical artist, Kaiien Cruz, had an album listening party here and IT WAS GREAT!! Brian, the bartender, was super kind. It is a great spot and very spacious. There's a stage, there's space for all to enjoy and not have to worry about bumping into one another. They have a pretty big bar and they also have a patio area where someone can smoke and chill. The artwork at ArtBarLA was STUNNING!! Definitely check it out. Parking could be a bit annoying but there's ample parking around the corner, in the residential area so that was pretty cool. There's also a Bowlero parking lot, around the corner -- take what you want with that lol.

Yelp
This place is novel as far as art installations go, but even "good" would be a stretch. The venue purports to be an art bar, but every time I've been there, they're out of beer or running low. Not draft, mind you, but bottled. Also, they're all but totally unresponsive on any platform when trying to get a hold of them. Also, the A/C was broken when I was there. Also, their listed hours are patently incorrect. Also, the bartenders are rude to the people renting the venue (yeah, dude, we heard you chewing out the model for being "unprofessional" - how ironic.) I wouldn't be so livid if I hadn't mistakenly left my credit card there and then failed to get a hold of someone - anyone - during their hours of operation... for a week straight. Nobody picks up the phone. The venue is dark. Their Facebook message responses are automated. Between sparse art showings, no actual bar operations, and a minimal, we're-doing-YOU-a-favor attitude, this place is hardly a bar and only tangentially related to art.

Yelp
I haven't ventured around Venice much, but I really enjoyed this spot! My sister and I visited for a Painting & Vino class and it was a great location for that. It's small but homey and has some interesting and unique art pieces on the walls. Definitely a vibe. We really enjoyed ourselves during our time here, and the bartender was super friendly and helpful. I ordered a hard ginger beer and my sister got a hard kombucha during our paint & sip class. The drinks are quite pricey here, but I'm also happy to support a local business like this. The bartender accidentally gave me the wrong can at first, but then brought out the right one. Not sure why he took the old one back, since I feel like it was probably just thrown out anyways, but maybe he was just looking out for me (being a lightweight and all LOL).

Yelp
This was a cute bar! My friends and I wanted to go bowling at Bowlero but had an hour wait. We didn't want to venture too far away so we were browsing Yelp and came across this bar. It's very lowkey and artsy. When we arrived around 9:15pm on a Saturday, it honestly wasn't busy. There were maybe five people in there total. The bartender was courteous and prompt with service. They have some old board games (not in the best condition but still usable!) and so my friends and I played Connect Four. The Connect Four had a broken side piece so we had to be careful. I wish they had a better range of games! And better quality board games! There's art hung all over the walls and it gives off a very cool gallery vibe. I think if they had more board games (and better quality) and livelier music, I'd have enjoyed my stay more. I'm not sure if I'd come back here if I wasn't already in the area waiting for something else.

Yelp
Went there few times for figure drawing. They work with Gallerygirls and do drink and draw sometimes at Thursday night. The bartender are super nice and helpful. Only wish it could become more popular so more ppl will join to support this place and the nice professional models!

Yelp
Josh was a great bartender and we learned a lot about the cool drag shows here, plus he had a lot of life experience that was shared between the three people drinking ciders. We appreciated a lot his presence in the bar and hopefully we meet up with him again in the near future. My group and I really recommend anyone to come here for a good time. 10/10. We live for the queens!!

Yelp
I love the Art Bar. I've gone to so many galleries in LA, in the Culver City arts District and the art work here holds it's own! Really high caliber artwork. I've had the sandwich here and it was way too delicious, I over ate. The growler was really amazing also, I had the IPA. It's a fantastic spot for a date. They also spin seriously quality music. Maaaaaaaajestic vibes. Yup.

Yelp
The ambiance is great, the folks there are kind but the bar was not impressive. They didn't have beers on tap the night I went in- they only had canned beer and No hard alcohol. I would return but I would def hit up another spot beforehand for drinks.

Yelp
Cute little intimate bar in Mar Vista with tons of local art lining the walls! The front feels very much like a comfy living room and the back has a small stage! We visited this spot as part of a secret comedy night and would definitely come back and visit just for a drink if we are in the area! This bar is also close to Little Fatties and Rasselbock if you want to grab food before stopping by!

Yelp
ArtBar LA is a cool newish neighborhood bar that finds its niche serving good beer, showcasing local artists (inclusive of painters, performers, musical artists, burlesque dancers), and an unique circus, artsy vibe. The space is fairly cozy and dimly lit, but enough size for a decent crowd by the stage/gallery and sitting area. Bartender is super nice and easy to talk to. Beer selection is pretty varied so you can find some unique ones you may not have tried before. HH is around 4-7pm for $1 off drinks. They do events every Sunday so peep at their online calendar. Cool spot to visit and grab a beer at while checking out the mounted artwork.

Yelp
This place is a fantastic new addition to the hood, and it's founded by folks who are local and have been invested in Mar Vista for years. Not only is the vibe super cool with lots of unique art for purchase, but the bartender is a great guy who definitely gives a shit. He's selected great choices for beer on tap - at present it's beer only, but they're working hard to get the wine license back (which the previous establishment, Zacatecas, lost) and then to get a full liquor license. In addition to having a great general vibe, they do various special events throughout the week (e.g., art while drinking, live shows) including an awesome art mart Sunday's from 11-4 to correspond with the Farmer's Market. Can't say enough good things about Art Bar - stop by to support some of the OGs from the hood - they deserve your love and dollars, and are invested in the MV family!!!

Yelp
Came in to work on some stuff during Happy Hour. Friendly bartender, plenty of outlets and wifi. Im super happy to have a bar that fits so well into the community. Cant wait to see what they do next.

Yelp
Cool room for a drink with a friend, rotating art exhibits curated with an eye and with care, music and comedy events and a space you can book for private activities yourself!
