Arte-Sano Hotel Cafe

This is an amazing find very close to the beach at playa maderas! The rooms are nice buts it's really the ambiance that makes this place special. The pool has gorgeous views, and it's very quiet here while also having access to hush hostel next door which is a bit more social. The food was healthy and delicious, the cookies were the best I've ever had ! There us a kitchen that guests are able to use if they wish. And it's a short walk down to the beach on an adventurous jungle trail. I definitely think I will be back here to stay for an extended amount of time !

Had dinner with a friend and really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. A lovely location with an incredible view. We ordered cocktails, green chicken curry, and steak with Gorgonzola. There is a small pool available that is nicely lit. Overall a super cool vibe with good service.

Arte-Sano is a beautiful hotel in an incredible location. The staff was very hospitable and kind - they even let us check in early since we arrived much earlier than our check-in time. The space is beautiful: large and clean rooms, two infinity-like pools, large common spaces. The food and drinks are delicious but a bit expensive (breakfast is not included in the price). Overall, we had an amazing time. One thing to note is that the drive there is over an unpaved road (which I'm assuming will eventually be paved). The walk down to the beach is closer to a hike, since most of it is over a rocky path. A hotel is opening up next door, however, and they will most likely improve the path down. All of this being said, we would absolutely stay there again!

The house music is tuned to KCRW, so you know this place is cool! They have a spectacular lobby with gorgeous art and view to the Pacific. It's about a 12-minute walk to Playa Maderas Beach. Comfy beds, good WiFi. Great place 👌🙂

This is hands down the best spot to stay in Playa Maderas. The vibe throughout the whole place is great, and the views are incredible. The staff are "locals" travelling abroad who have great stories to tell and make you feel welcome. The food is amazing (and for a traveller who is always a little hesitant on what I eat), I wanted to try everything on their menu. The hotel is close to the beach, and has a/c and hot water which is a must for me when travelling in warm climates. Don't hesitate to stay here, you won't regret it. And while you're there say hi to Josh, Fudge, and Ben for me! Cheers

Love this place! Guaranteed no children splashing around and ruining the vibe. It's peaceful and relaxing! The food and drinks are also delicious. Really worth a visit! Whenever I'm in SJDS I visit here for an entire day. Amazing views as well 🤩

Amazing time at this property!!!! I found the local beaches both different and this hotel separates them on top of the hill. One beach remote and beautiful and the other full of life with surfers and travelers. The hotel is a contrast to the local hostels. King Bed, amazing food, such value, each item well thought out and delicious. Reasonably priced. This is also a location where Ex Pats gather. Every night a wonderful collection of local eclectic people. This hotel is well run and the owner Josh is often seen around the property. The employees are warm and friendly people. I highly recommend this location due to the location ( near two local beaches, one peaceful and one more surf oriented. both are awesome in their own right. The great comforts, infinity pools, bedding, air-conditioning, service and food. espressos every morning or smoothies at lunch. then a nice group of international travelers and mix of expats that make the atmosphere really fun. I look forward to staying here again. ||I was on a single, solo trip motorcycling and the combination made for a great stay, and so many warm interactions.

Absolutely unbelievable. Gorgeous views, quick walk to the beach, delicious food, phenomenal staff. I organized a group trip of 60 people and we ran the programming and food & beverage out of Arte-Sano + Hush and it was PERFECT. I host and organize a lot of events and the staff here made it such a breeze. We're planning to return same time next year.
