Artemisia Cafe - Review - Arts District - Portland, ME - The Infatuation

"If you only have brunch once in Portland, make sure it’s at Artemisia Cafe. This neighborhood spot in the Arts District serves all of the classics, like eggs benedict, scrambles, and breakfast sandwiches, and feels like you’re eating at a friend’s place, without the required volunteering to do dishes afterward. Whether you’re with people who only want to go somewhere that’s photogenic, or your in-laws who just want to find a place that opens before 11am, Artemisia Cafe is great for both." - Team Infatuation

Artemisia Café is a cozy little brunch spot tucked away in Portland. The atmosphere is quiet and low-key—just right for a slow morning. I had the eggs Benedict, and my wife went with the vegan hash. Both were good, though not especially memorable. The staff was friendly and attentive, which added to the relaxed vibe. A nice option if you’re nearby and looking for a mellow, no-frills brunch.

Google
A very cozy spot to have breakfast at where both the food & service were excellent. Their cinnamon roll was massive, & all 5 members of our group enjoyed what we each ordered. Our waitress had a great sense of humor & was very attentive!!

Google
Cozy spot. Decent breakfast menu. Nothing really stood out to me but it seems like a really popular place because we waited for a little. The food was good. We had a couple mimosas which were in the weaker side (and that's ok!) I'd come back here to try other dishes.

Everything about this place is wonderful. Food is amazing and staff are incredibly friendly. If you come on the weekend be prepared for a wait

Google
The brunch burger was the perfect hangover savor, greasey, perfect spice with the mayo, the cheese was Gooey, and the bacon was chewy and crispy at the same time, the home fries grilled to perfection with some sweet potato added in. Everything was served hot and well seasoned. And the team of servers were attentive and on top of filling my water up and checking on my needs . My server Bailey was particularly helpful with my chai order and with answering any of my questions I had about the menu. This was my first time here but definitely won't be my last. I highly recommend this place to any local as or visitors.

Google
Just ate lunch here and will definitely come back. I love the atmosphere here. It's very relaxing and the decor is great. The food was perhaps the best sandwich I've had in some time. The menu is absurdly small but the execution was perfection. It's always better to have a small menu done well than a large menu where the food is mediocre. I got the flame grilled chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the chicken and artichoke melt. Both were excellent. The only down side here is the service is painfully slow. We finished our meal and waited over a half hour before we were given our check and offered a box. But server was nice. So if you're not in a rush it's a great place to eat. If you're in a rush I don't recommend. I loved it here.

Google
Delicious Brunch in a cozy & quaint space. Loved my French Toast with Maple Syrup. Latte was nice and robust! Excellent customer service:)

Google
The good was amazing! Lots of different flavors and options for meat eaters such as my husband, and vegetarian such as myself. I have some allergies to spices and they were very careful to check ingredients and make recommendations to assure that I had safe food. The sweet potato hummus sandwich and tuna wrap were fantastic, and my toddler loved the burger and fries! We will definitely be back next time we visit Portland!

Yelp
Today I went to the cafe for the first time! First and for most out server , Bailey, was amazing in so many ways. Her smile lit up the resturant. Personality 10, Efficiency 10 , Knowlege of food 10, professionalism10. I asked her which sandwich she would recommended between 2. She nailed it Fried eggplant sandwhich, tomatoes, Greek olives, basal mayo on beautiful bread. quality of food 10!!!!! amazing dining experience for lunch! The resturant had such a cozy and comfortable feeling!!!

Yelp
Great place to visit and relax. Staff is attentive without being overbearing. Just a nice place to mellow out while enjoying good food. Can you ask for more?

Yelp
I really really wanted to like this place. It's small and very cute, and the coffee/chai was great! My only issue was the seared tuna salad. The seasoning on the tuna just did not go well with the dressing, and I just couldn't finish it. I ordered a side of fries also, which were very good! The service was decent, however the waitress did not know much about the menu and stated that she hadn't tried most of it when we asked for suggestions, which was a bit odd.

Yelp
Food service was excellent I had the California Cobb salad, which was fresh and tasted delicious. My friend had the egg sandwich which was delicious as well. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully.

Yelp
Came in after breakfast was done at 11:00 on a Wednesday morning. The waitress was very nice. The restaurant was empty and offered me any seat I wanted. Ambiance was very chill, perfect for the day. I went with a double espresso and a tuna melt. The food and coffee were good. Pretty standard fries and sandwich. Nothing in particular was amazing but nothing was bad.

Yelp
We did Saturday brunch and it's a very cute little cafe. We waited about 25 minutes and it was worth every bite. We had 2 different omelets and if you have a chance to get one with fiddleheads, do it! The cocktails were fairly priced. Don't expect free refills on soda though. It comes in a bottle. Our server was great for recommending things and chatting with us about the area.

Yelp
Dined here after having to stay the night unexpectedly due to flight issues. The food was fresh, and so delicious, the BLT was so good on the fresh bread. However the star of our meal was the server, she was so kind and helpful and really made our day. Highly suggest coming and giving them a try, everything was amazing. The lemon bar was the perfect sweet treat to end our lunch as well!

Yelp
Stopped in here for breakfast after a romantic overnight stay in Portland. Service was spectacular. We were able to get in immediately on a Sunday morning at 9:30. I particularly loved the French toast.
google avatar

Joy M.

Yelp
The food and drinks here are amazing! We went first thing when they opened for a girls' brunch. We split a sticky bun, which everyone loved and is huge. I had a Bloody Mary which was very tasty and not too boozy. The kielbasa hash was huge and so many great flavors! Perfect mix. The other girls had specialty coffees and Benedict's, again, all seemed to really enjoy their dishes. Because the cafe is away from the hustle and bustle of most of Old Port, it was less hectic than many places you could go. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
What a wonderful brunch experience. I felt relaxed, welcomed, and extremely well fed from the moment I set food in Artemisia. The menu is very creative but has all your diner classics. The staff is wonderful. I will be dreaming about the best egg and cheese sandwich I've ever had.

Yelp
Artemisia is the cutest. I've taken friends there for brunch on multiple locations, and the food is consistently delicious. They have a ton of great options for non-meat-eaters, which I love. We had quite possibly the friendliest waitress (who was awesome!) I've ever encountered, and I was beyond charmed by the small and quaint interior. Feels very 'Gilmore Girls' to me. 90s, sunny, small-town-feel. Love!
google avatar

Yelp
Really cozy eatery with friendly staff. Came here for a quick breakfast and couldn't decide between the omelette or the French toast, so I got BOTH! Hahaha. The French toast was soft and moist on the inside (the soak it overnight so your not eating some dry piece of bread masquerading as French toast), the berries were fresh, and the syrup sweet without being overly sweet. Perfection. The omelette was delicious. The home fries were a mix of sweet potato and Idaho potatoes-yum! Overall, it was a great experience. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Artemisia was the perfect spot to stop for brunch after some friends ran the Portland half. It was around 10 am on Saturday morning, we waited 25 ish minutes for a table for 6. The space is clean, warm and inviting, with a case of delicious looking pastries when you first walk in. Once we sat down, water was quickly brought out as well as food and drink menus. Everything sounded delicious, but I went with the breakfast burrito which was fantastic. The melted cheese on top is delicious and the home fries are epic. These aren't your normal home fries but closer to perfectly roasted and seasoned potatoes. I ordered a hot chai latte to go with it and it was probably one of the best chai lattes I've ever had. Sweet but not too sweet and nicely spiced. The others at the table got the veggie hash and a special kielbasa wrap and everyone seemed super pleased with their orders. If I'm ever back in Portland this will definitely be a stop we make again!

Yelp
Amazing breakfast options, food coffee, great service and a fun atmosphere. It was a perfect start to the day. Kielbasa hash is the only way I shall have hash in the future.
google avatar

Nancy V.

Yelp
This is a great cafe close to downtown. Just for clarification there was no brunch. It is breakfast then lunch, not brunch. The coffee & lattes were strong & tasty. I had the seared ahi salad which was dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. Excellent. Spouse has chicken sandwich which was very large & served with salad. He raved about it. The nicest waitstaff ever! Highly recommend.

Yelp
This Cafe was so yummy. Everyone loved their meals and the bloody Mary was on point! Both kids loved their sausage egg sandwiches and my burrito was so flavorful! My husband enjoyed his omelet but it was a little small, fortunately the rest of our meals were big enough to share with him. Our waitress was awesome, she was so sweet and attentive. We did wish they had a sweet option like French toast or pancakes, but apparently that is only on the weekends. Also, I wish I could have had a bloody Maria but I steer clear of Jose Cuervo, which was their only tequila option. But overall the pros outweigh the minor cons!

Yelp
Such a happy place. I had the Forester omelette and it was amazing, the goat cheese was delicious. If you want fast diner food don't go here, but if you want delicious, this is your spot. Prices are fair for the quality, most breakfasts are $13-18, fancy coffee drinks under $5. The ambiance is quaint and cozy. All booths, might be tough for groups larger than 4.
google avatar

Tasia D.

Yelp
I didn't eat here, I just had one Bloody Mary because I don't hate myself enough to have ordered a second. The waitress was kind, great no complaints, but she described their bloody mix as "spicy". It was bright red when it arrived at my table, maybe a little pepper detectable through the glass, but barely. It was basically tomato juice, I tried to help it with the hot sauce on the table but couldn't get there. I asked the waitress if I could use their A-1 or Worcestershire, they didn't have ANY??? What?? No wonder the mix was garbage. Don't use bottle mix people, it's worth the effort to make your own. Liquor is your biggest mark up, you could've sold 6 drinks to our table.

Yelp
Just honest fresh and yummy food. Portions are adequate and the quality is excellent. If you just want a very good meal you've found your place. No pretenses,, nice comfortable ambiance with solid menu options. I had their version of the salad nicoise. Fresh and well balanced ingredients without excessive dressing. I do wish they would step up their wine options instead of just boxed wines by the glass. I know I'll be back!

Yelp
Overall Disappointment When we arrived, we were told there'd be a 20-minute wait. We noticed two open bar stools and asked about sitting there, but were told they couldn't serve in that area. Oddly enough, when we walked back in after 20 minutes, a couple was already eating and drinking in those exact seats. Once seated, we ordered coffee, which took 10 minutes to arrive. Then, our server didn't return to take our food order for over 30 minutes. The restaurant was busy, but the staff seemed more focused on chatting with each other and socializing with friends of the restaurant. Most of the time, they were just behind the bar hanging out. Despite multiple attempts to make eye contact, nothing changed. When our server finally returned, her exact words were, "I just realized I didn't take your order." Not exactly an apology, but at least she acknowledged it. To put things in perspective: two couples who arrived after us had already finished their meals and paid their checks by the time we even received our food. As I write this, we've been here for over an hour and are still waiting. The food, when it finally arrived, was great--but the service made it clear that unless you're a regular or a friend of the staff, you're treated like a second-class guest. Having worked in the bar/restaurant industry myself, I know what's normal and tolerable, and this wasn't even close. I'll be steering people away from this place. Fortunately, it seems they only want to serve their inner circle anyway.

Yelp
I continue to love Artemesia, the staff, the vibe and the excellent and delicious food they are turning out of their kitchen. Artemesia, is hands down, my FIRST choice when meeting a friend for breakfast. Last Saturday, I went with: A blood orange mimosa-fantastic and BIG A chocolate babka "cinnamon roll"-Incredible, YES, you want to try this! The West End omelette-So so good, perfectly constructed with multi colored peppers, cheese and plentiful chunks of smoked ham. Oh, and their coffee is also spectacular, strong, smooth and bottomless. I am often surprised when long time Portlanders have never heard of Artemesia, and I am often ok with that, since clearly they have a following! Yesterday, when walking out, I could not help but comment on a grilled chicken salad a woman was eating. It looked incredible, like maybe the best grilled chicken salad i'd ever seen!!! I'm wondering if Artemesia may know become my first choice when meeting a friend for breakfast and LUNCH!!!

Yelp
I don't actually throw this phrase around a lot, but Artemisia Cafe is an absolute "hidden" gem. Weirdly, Portland doesn't have a lot of places open for brunch midweek. And while Artemisia Cafe doesn't advertise it: they do. Until 10:30 every day you can order brunch, and baked goods, and enormous boozy drinks. It's positively delightful. As is their space: it's very warm, each booth feels very private, there's plants and art, and it just feels like a comfortable spot for everyone. That's reflected in their menu, too, since they have options for vegetarians and vegans. That being said, I am sad to see that they've removed the Sardou from their menu though (it was this hot spinach artichoke like dip that you could get on a bed of homefries, topped with a poached egg; so messy, SO GOOD - one of the most unique brunch bites in the city). Their baked goods aren't to be skipped; I just wish the cinnamon rolls were available more often. There really aren't any go-to spots in Portland for one, and Artemisia could easily fill that hole! Finally, if you like a good drink with your breakfast foods, GET. THE. MIMOSA. It's enormous. Probably the biggest one in the city. The bloody is divine too. Actually, just get both and thank me later.

Yelp
When I first walked in and saw the bar covered in plants, I knew I was going to like this place. I almost don't want to leave a review because I don't want tourists to catch on and turn this into another "wait in line for over an hour just to eat breakfast" kinda place but, these guys deserve all the praise. Good quality, consistent food - that's well worth the prices - and excellent service in a very quaint little dining room. My husband always gets the Pesto B-Sand adding Chipotle Bacon. I've tried the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and another dish with red peppers, spinach, and goat cheese on scrambled eggs (I can't think of the name and it's no longer on the menu) - all delicious. The only miss for us was the French toast. It was so, so dense, and the density made it just not good but, their cinnamon rolls are pretty bomb! Parking is street parking and it's always pretty easy to find a spot, which is a bonus in Portland.

Yelp
Delicious food. Great coffee and huevos rancheros. Fresh baked goods. Awesome knowledgable staff.

Yelp
After our first time dining at Artemisia Cafe, we knew we had found our new local breakfast/brunch spot. This is one of my favorite places in Portland. Located just a few minutes walking from the crazy busy part of the city, Artemisia Cafe is everything we look for in a restaurant when it comes to breakfast -- delicious coffee, top-notch service, lots of options, and affordable food. The food here is just incredible. We've had their burgers and the eggs Benedict and it's all been delicious. They have an impressive coffee and tea selection, from regular hot coffee to more artisan versions, including my favorite which comes with dulce de leche. The menu is also quite extensive, although I have to say that they don't have many vegan options except granola and the impossible burger. Service is always great, even when they are packed, which is usually the case on the weekends. Unfortunately they don't take reservations, but every time we've gone we haven't had to wait more than 20 mins or so to get a table. They have benches outside to wait and honestly, compared to other breakfast spots in the nearby Old Port, the wait isn't that bad. The place is SO cute inside. You feel like you're eating in your grandma's kitchen. It's so cozy, homey, and welcoming. We just love Artemisia Cafe and cannot wait to keep coming back.

Yelp
Clean, friendly vibe. The decorations are simple but colorful. Our server was welcoming and had good recommendations on the food. Came in for a Sunday morning brunch - 30 min wait but the food spoke for itself. I ordered a caffe Medici and a kielbasa hash which came with a cheesy egg on top of some delicious fried potato and sweet potato scramble. The white toast was crispy and filling - it worked well with the hash mixture. The only thing that I might note about the hash was that the labeling gives an impression it would be smaller pieces rather than big sausage chunks. It was still tasty but the format was a little unexpected. Pleasant atmosphere and good food that's slightly on the pricier end for a Portland brunch. Worth checking out if in search for a quieter yet tasteful brunch spot near downtown Portland.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. Service was fantastic. The atmosphere fantastic. I had the California omelette (minus goat cheese sub cheddar) the potatoes delish. When I'm back in Maine. I'll be sure to have breakfast here again.

Yelp
I came up to Portland a month ago and I was told to check this place out When I walked in 2 college women were in front of me and they were seated I stood there for a couple minutes and finally someone came up and asked if I needed help I said "hi table for 1" She said "sorry we are closed" and walked away. So this was a Friday morning at 11am ? Their website apparently isnt the best at keeping up with their hours but the place was quite full so they were obviously open. I waited a couple minutes for someone else to walk by I said they should really update their hours on their website so someone who just paid to park and walk in might know when they close - she said she would mention it to the owner and walked away again - not one drop of any compassion. So now I have to ask this question and I hate to go there but maybe I was racially targeted- because again they were obviously open and sat 2 white college girls right in front of me - again told they were closed and not even given the time of day here. What else am I to think ... again at 11am I will never go back here and I will never recommend this place and frankly I hope they dont suceed now. I had to give at least one star to post but this obviously was a ZERO stars.

M B.

Yelp
As soon as we put our name on the list when we arrived here for brunch today, we started having issues. We waited more than forty-five minutes for a table, we went in to inquire when those who came in after us were seated right away, we were shown the waiting list where our name was skipped over several times. Not a good start! A member of our party has a severe food allergy that, should it be consumed, necessitates a visit to the hospital. The waiter stated that "they cannot guarantee cross-contamination but can ask the kitchen". Are you kidding me with this complete disregard and negligence? Aside for the rudeness with which we receive, our food was mediocre at best. DO NOT COME HERE! The culinary scene in Portland is incredible, and the locals threat their visitors with dignity and respect. We should have walked out and never spent our hard earned money here.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Didn't seem like we were welcome here with our 1yr old daughter (no high chairs, they weren't happy we had a stroller with us). We were in a bit of a rush to check out so my husband handed our waitress our card. Afterwards he asked for an itemized receipt (for work reimbursement purposes) and saw that we were charged for 2 cookies that we neither asked for or received. He brought it up and a different waitress gave us the 2 cookies that we paid for but never asked for. Just a strange experience.

Yelp
The perfect homey breakfast spot! The menu is simple but ensures a filling meal before heading out for Portland adventures. My friend and I both got the pesto egg sandwich which was delicious and I especially loved the sweet potato sides. Definitely going to be trying that out in my air fryer at home. The wait staff are very friendly and despite a staff shortage they were able to provide efficient service.

Yelp
Excellent!! The Cubano and Smash Burger were out of this world terrific!!!! Service is fast, friendly and knowledgeable!!!

Yelp
Very cute interior, memorable service and good brunch food. I got the Benedict and it came on a sturdy English muffin that seemed homemade. The carver ham portions were generous and the hollandaise was perfect. I loved the mix of yellow and sweet potato home fries/wedges on the side. The bloody mary was a bit sweet, but it had proper habanero spice added and I really liked the heat. My partner combined the veggie and kielbasa hash and he loved it. Our server was the bartender and she was helpful with recommendations and provided just the right amount of engagement. Lovely spot, would return next time I'm in Portland.

Chrissy R.

Yelp
We didn't have time to do w long wait and Artemisia was takeout only. It was the perfect alternative. Everything was ready about 15-20 minutes after calling our order in! Food was generous but not overly decadent. We both got huevos rancheros and the sauce, beans and corn were the perfect compliment. I couldn't have too much dairy so I did no cheese and sour cream / guacamole on the side, and it was still chalk full of flavor. Not able to finish a full French toast, we shared the banana walnut chocolate chip bread - so fresh and soft. Baked goods differ each day so call and pick up at least one. They currently have 3 socially distanced tables outside and sanitizing spray to clean between guests which we appreciated. Great food without the wait!

Yelp
I'm almost asshamed to say that today was my first time visiting here. I'll def be back impeccable service and delicious very reasonably priced food and beverage. $8 spicy bloody mary that the spit and $12 for an omelet with home fries and toast. I had the Cali omelet with avocado, cheddar and served with sour cream and salsa. This is my new favorite spot for brunch.
google avatar

Toni S.

Yelp
I gave this 3 stars because I'm trying to keep it real. I loved my experience here, but it's not a four or five star place, ya know. It's a little gem we discovered on accident, walking around one weekend day. The food was not the most spectacular thing ever or anything, but it was good and I liked it. It was a good brunch. I had a great chai tea. The vibe is sort of like being at a friend's house and the food is good. I like it!

Gary M.

Yelp
Best in Portland. Hits on all cylinders. Great food. Beautiful presentation. Comfortable booths. Friendly service. Solid coffee. A bit pricy but this is no greasy spoon. If that's what your looking for go to Marcy's.

Yelp
A lovely quiet spot on the Pleaswnt side of Fore St. Food was quite solid, if simple, and they went in heartily on unique espresso drinks. They bring an intrigue to classic breakfast staples, and the staff is helpful and attentive. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious. My pictures say it all. I am dairy free and gluten free and they were able to prepare my food accordingly. Do not hesitate, you won't be disappointed. We did have a wait though so be prepared but worth it!!
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
Our waitress for Artemisia was SPOT on! We had such a great time conversing with our waitress. That's the kind of joy you want after an intense yoga session! The wait was not too bad for a Sunday brunch. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. I thought the meal was great, EXCEPT even though I asked for less beans, less still looked like a whole lotta. Drinks: Mimosas FTW. We tried the Peach and Mango Mimosa, which were SO SO GOOD! You can even ask for a mix of the two which is amazing!
google avatar

Maggie A.

Yelp
Maybe I was just starving, but what a delicious breakfast! I had the forester omelette which came with sourdough bread and potatoes. Oat milk latte was also great. One friendly waitress ran the whole place, and was super attentive and welcoming. Would recommend this to anyone! I'll be a nice, satisfied full for a while

Yelp
Amazing service in this cute little spot, a perfect escape during a conference up the hill! The food was delicious and nutritious!!!

Yelp
All women working and owned. It's cozy and comfy and the food is outstanding! The server was excellent and very nice. I highly recommend this little gem.

Yelp
Only have been twice after almost a decade of driving and walking by it. Weird hours kinda. Some tasty plates. Well thought out yet somewhat unusual combinations that complement themselves on texture and flavor. Bloody mary was good. The prices were a little high on some of the standard offerings like a burger or a simple egg-based breakfast plate. The vibe is pretty nice too. Kinda like being in a friend's living room in a way. Server was about fine. No real complaints, nothing above & beyond. One of the FOH members was this asian chick with glasses who was randomly and unreasonably rude? Not the regular hostess, she's great. This one was kinda bussing and maybe running plates or something. On two different interactions that visit, she was just very inhospitable and impolite on a personal 1-on-1 interaction. Probably having a bad day/year/life? But zero reason to take it out on a customer. Probably wont be back, but not gonna dis-recommend the place to others either.
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
Had the most delicious sausage, egg, and cheese here even though it was massive and I couldn't finish it lol. They use a paprika aioli that's to die for! It cost $2 to add spinach which is quite high but whatever. The service was fast and attentive, and the inside is cozy and cute.

Yelp
Artemisia Cafe takes me to what it would be like walking the streets of France and going to a small cafe. With greenery over the bar, the stained glass fixtures, and the intimate setting, it screams European inspiration. My husband and I decided to come here on a Saturday morning for breakfast, and knowing that it was a small cafe, we were expecting to wait for a table. However, when we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess and we were instantly brought to our booth by a window. For it being 10:30am on a Saturday in Portland, there were only a few other couples in the cafe, which was surprising, but it added to the quiet, easy aesthetic of the venue. The menu has various takes on typical breakfast foods. From a variety of scrambles, omelettes, benedicts, and french toasts, there is something for everyone, but Artemisia elevates these options into something amazing. I ended up ordering the Sardou, which was a benedict with creamed spinach and artichokes on tuscan bread, and it was served with home fries. It was an explosion of flavor and the bread that it was on really added to the wholesomeness of the dish. My husband ordered the scramble with kielbasa, which was equally delicious and had amazing amounts of flavor. We also shared a cinnamon roll, which was flaky and had a nice amount of icing on it. Sounds like a 5 star review, right? The only thing that keeps me from giving Artemisia 5 stars is the service. Our waitress was incredibly nice, however, we were barely checked on. My husband only ordered water for a drink, and he had to be the one to consistently stop her for more. Then, we got our food and we weren't checked on until both of us were done our meals. Will the service stop me from going back? Absolutely not, as I definitely plan on coming back to try more of the items on their menu. However, after experiencing the service and reading other reviews, I think this is an area of opportunity for them. If they fix their service, they would definitely earn a 5 star review.

Yelp
Cozy cafe with intimate feel. Staff seemed overwhelmed but were friendly and attentive. Had to wait about half an hour to get seated on a Sunday morning for breakfast, but the food was worth the wait. We were in a bit of a rush so didn't get the signature french toast (menu notes it takes a bit longer) but the sardou (variation of eggs benedict) was lovely, as were the other dishes ordered. (I'm always impressed when eggs are cooked perfectly, which the chef managed with two dishes that had soft poached eggs, and one with over easy eggs). I was hoping to see a write-up of the restaurant's name (we were secretly hoping its namesake was Artemesia Gentileschi) - but that part will have to remain a mystery. Meanwhile, if you're in Portland, stop by.

Yelp
Cute artsy spot for breakfast or lunch. We ordered the Pesto B-Sand and Forester Omelet. Everything was absolutely delicious, the staff is very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a lovely place for brunch!! The interior is very nicely decorated and clean. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a bloody mary and they gave the option to add some heat to it, which I took. They did not hold back and it was fantastic!! Perfect amount of spice and heat, honestly the best bloody mary I've had. They also had a wide array of coffee drinks to choose from that all sounded fantastic. To eat I had the pesto breakfast sandwich with home fries. The sandwich was amazing!! The eggs were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. There was also a generous amount of the pest sauce which was fantastic. The home fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned as well. If I am ever in Portland again I will definitely be back!!
