My partner noticed that I wasn’t feeling great, so he took me to Arthur, and it turned out to be a huge success.
This restaurant offers two types of courses, and we chose the Chef’s Menu. From the moment we entered, the staff at the entrance were incredibly kind and welcoming. We had a reservation, and our table was right in front of the kitchen, so we could watch the chefs prepare the dishes, which made the experience even better.
Arthur is known for using Australian ingredients, so we were really looking forward to it. Starting with the sourdough and cultured butter, everything was delicious. The tuna belly, which came as a small bite, was so good that I want to have it again while writing this. Every dish was memorable, but the standout for us was the bay bug dish. The texture of the bay bug paired perfectly with the slightly firm kale, making it the best dish for us as seafood lovers.
For dessert, I’m not a fan of pears, so we ordered the cheese tart as an additional option, and it was amazing. The wine pairing we were recommended matched perfectly with the food, and the sommelier was friendly without being overwhelming, which we really appreciated.
One of the chefs explaining the dishes in the middle of the meal was a Korean woman, and I really enjoyed her service, but it seems she’s no longer there. Regardless, thanks to the amazing food, atmosphere, and staff, we left with a very happy memory.
