Google
My wife tried this place looking for a nice “quiet” atmosphere with decent food. We both really enjoyed the atmosphere! We could talk to each other without raising our voices because in a lot places it so loud when busy. It’s a good burger place, we will be back.

Google
One of the better burgers in the Cincinnati area. I would give it an 8.25 out of 10. The patty was tasty and perfectly cooked, the toppings were fresh, the chipotle mayo was a great addition, and the bun stayed together throughout the entire meal. The Cajun fries are a must. Overall, I felt the burger was priced right and the meal was enjoyable. The downside is the service. It seemed like they did not have enough waitresses working for the volume of customers. Either that or the waitresses are hiding in the kitchen. We had to wait much longer than we should have, on several occasions, to get the waitresses attention and what we needed. For example, it took almost 10-15 minutes after we finished eating to get the check and another 10-15 minutes to actually pay and get out the door. That should have been a 5 minute process tops, not 20-30 minutes. I would rate this place 3.5 out of 5.

Google
Excellent onion rings, the best I have had in nearly 50 years. The cod sandwich was a bit awkward. I’m not sure how that big piece of battered and fried cod was supposed to fit on the sliced bread and it really should have had cabbage rather than lettuce, but it was acceptable. I’d come back just for the onion rings though. I’ve been hunting for them most of my life.

Google
Should be 4.5 stars. 5 is for consistency. Previous reviews had concerns about cold food, and overcooked burgers. "Neither of these happened tonight!" Great staff, great temp on the burger, and all was hot and fresh. Athur's delivered exactly what the promised.

Google
Pretty average burger place. Wasn't a horrible experience by any metric, ordered the "Black and Blue burger" with extra blue cheese and bacon and a side of fries as a carryout order. For the good, it has a convenient location with lots of parking, tons of options on the menu, maybe too many to be honest. The people working there were friendly. The food took an average amount of time to cook and bag up, maybe about 15 minutes all together. For the bad, I paid extra for the blue cheese and bacon and got very little of either and the burger was a little dry. The fries weren't salted and tasted slightly stale. Honestly a bit disappointing considering how highly considered this place is by a lot of local critics.

Google
Our burgers were july and favorable. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender and flakey. My wife enjoyed her cole slaw (that isn't always the case) and our waitress was attentive without being pushy.

Gus

Google
Half priced drafts on Thursday. Fish tacos were good and something light. Sweet potato fries were excellent. Curry ketchup was different and very good.

Brandy P.

Google
Mahi mahi tacos were amazing as well as our burger! Service was great, didn’t have to wait long for food even tho they were busy. Absolutely recommend!

Yelp
This has become my go-to spot for consistently good food, great service, and a great dining experience. It has a "bar" vibe, but it has more of restaurant feel. Their burgers, sandwiches, and...we'll EVERYTHING I have ever tried, is fantastic. Give them a try and you will see what I mean.
google avatar

Yelp
First time we've been there for a while. Nice bar area, booths and tables. Busy crowd. Service was efficient. Mu husband had the chicken fingers and fries. They were overcooked and a little greasy. Fries were good. The cod usually comes on marble rye bread but I opted for a brioche bun. The batter was crispy and light. The sweet potato fries were excellent. I was not a fan of the curry ketchup served with the fries. Overall, a satisfying meal. Will go back.

Yelp
We went here for lunch - service was great but the food was just okay. I recommend not getting the buffalo chicken bites as an appetizer- very disappointing. The turkey club and chili were both okay.

Yelp
We love Arthur's in Hyde Park, so we thought we'd try the Anderson location after running errands in that part of town. The place was pretty empty for a Saturday night, so we got a seat right away. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. We ordered the fried cheese and it had no flavor. We usually love it, but it just wasn't that great. Our burgers were fine, but not the quality we're used to. I tried the veggie patty and that was great. I always get the Buckaroo burger, which has sautéed onions on it, but this had way too many onions. Fries were ok and also not very flavorful. Our overall experience was fine, and I'd be willing to try it again, but I prefer the Hyde Park location.

Martin H.

Yelp
BOO! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, EVER! I've been to this place multiple times and I'll NEVER go back! Mediocre service at best, but the food is basically a sh*t show! I've had mooing hamburgers (ordered medium well) and raw chicken, nice - huh? The servers act like you're inconveniencing them by sitting at their station. The last straw was the time that we evidently offended the cooks somehow... they intentionally OVER SALTED the food so bad that I got sick! Even the managers suck, they don't care how awful the service or the food is! This place is a joke, A BAD JOKE! Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time and money and go someplace with good food/service and the managers give a sh*t! I hope the owner reads this review, cleans house, and hires a whole new staff. Nobody here should ever work in a restaurant again!

Yelp
Arthur's is known as the local "burger place." It's the only thing I've ever ordered and o don't intent to switch it up ever. I did recently switch to the Cajun fries from the regular and I highly recommend that you do too. The portions are perfect, not too big where you have leftovers and plenty to be full. That even with me ordering their smallest burger (the Sally).
google avatar

Cecilia C.

Yelp
Had not been there in years . Was disappointed that for a kids meal , milk is an up charge ! Soft drinks included . That is not teaching children good eating habits by encouraging that .3 of us had burgers of various kinds. Way over salted.
google avatar

Karin-Marc Q.

Yelp
Good food and drinks and atmosphere. Wasn't that crowded when we went at 5:30. Recommend.

Tom L.

Yelp
The burgers are amazing. Waitresses were awesome as they checked in often. Everyone had a different burger and all were great

Yelp
Reuben was awesome! Fries perfectly crispy. Nice work Arthur's! Second visit; wasn't overly excited about the first visit. I think I ordered the fish and decided I didn't need to run back to Arthur's. However, like a year later, hubs and I got sick of the same ole restaurants on Beechmont and decided to hit up Burger Madness at Arthur's. I, in fact, am not a burger girl so I went with a Reuben and it was stacked! Tons of meat, cheese and extra thousand island as requested. Hit the spot! Fry portion was also large and crispy. A great meal with tons of leftovers. I'm also not a leftover girl but I warmed my sandwich up the following day and it was still great. As for Burger Madness, hubs loves it. The meat is quality and toppings are limitless. Sub a gluten free bun for $2 upcharge. Ending on service.... A+, Carol was excellent. She explained the menu very well and really talked us into our meals. She's not just a server, she has a clear passion for the menu and is proud to work at Arthur's.

Yelp
We came because he needed a big juicy burger and that's what he got; spot on, perfectly medium rare. Fries were fresh and not too salty. The mahi mahi tacos? Skip. Hard pass. Bland side salad, very boring tacos because they were made with canned pineapple; my son's are better (in fairness, he graduated from San Diego University ;-) The only thing that improved mine was a lot of Tabasco so a five for his experience, a three for mine...
google avatar

Patrick P.

Yelp
An average spot to grab a burger. Service was fast and friendly. But the food overall was just ok. Nothing really set them apart from other burger places besides the burger deal they run which made it good value. Would eat here again but wouldn't go out of our way.

Joseph M.

Yelp
Gross! Restaurant inside is disgusting. It's greasy. Doesn't anyone clean anymore? The floor is slippery. The bar top oily we drink our beer and left. No thank you! Clean up your act, Arthur's.

Bambi P.

Yelp
The food is always amazing, the service is good. It could be better. Some days are better than others. Lighting is very dim inside which is ok but I like it to be brighter. I Wish there was outside dining. Other than that we would go back.
google avatar

Rick O.

Yelp
Food was hot and delicious. Entire staff, every single person we encountered, were professional and friendly. Really appreciated a great experience after a hard day of work.

Jeffrey P.

Yelp
Great burger and good service. We sat at the bar because they were busy and the bartender was personable and a good salesperson without being pushy. I would rate them with 5 stars except the place needs some attention to cleaning detail. I saw staff standing and doing nothing or conversing with coworkers when they should have been wiping the place with cleaner . This could be a top notch place if the owners invested a bit in the aesthetics and cleaning. One last note... the folks that work there were all very personable but an enforced dress code would work wonders with perhaps a professional looking staff

Terry D.

Yelp
Good food, good value. Burger-based menu with good base options and ability to modify as you wish. Full bar, local + typical national beers .

Yelp
I have always heard about Arthur's, though hadn't tried it until today. We stopped in for dinner. It was absolutely amazing. The fries were perfect. The bean burger was really good. I would highly recommend them. Our server was very nice and attentive as well. Will certainly be back

Yelp
So many good burger spots in Cincinnati and so little stomach room... I know, I've said that before, but it still rings true. And honestly, I'd consider Arthur's to be among the tops in the greater Cincinnati area. I'd been to the location in Hyde Park before and enjoyed it, so I figured I'd check out this one in Anderson Township too. The place itself has the feel of a great cozy, down home, local burger spot. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I grabbed a spot at the bar, and even though the bartender was pretty busy, she still made time to greet me before tending to other patrons. The menu isn't huge but has a nice diversity. They also have burger and beer of the month specials as well as daily specials. This month's burger was a Thai teriyaki turkey burger and the beer was Avery Likiko'i Kepolo. I thought the combo was interesting, so I ordered both, and they went together VERY well! The tartness of the beer provided a contrast with the turkey burger while complementing the teriyaki sauce. The crispy wanton strips provide a nice crunch which I always enjoy. It made for a very unique and well-done burger experience. With so many burger spots in Cincinnati, even in Anderson Township alone, it's hard to decide on one to try, but I highly recommend this one. Arthur's is local goodness for sure!

Yelp
Great food, friendly atmosphere, great friendly staff. We always feel welcome and comfortable when arriving and are always seated in good time!! I really like the Tuesday specials!!
google avatar

Celina C.

Yelp
If you are looking for an internal clean out, look no further. The food is very low quality, and the service and sanitation a match.
google avatar

Cathy D.

Yelp
Always a favorite...if you like a thick, juicy burger cooked as you request (rare to well done) this is it! Add great drinks, good fries, good soups, salads and desert and wonderful servers....what's not to like? It's busy at lunch and dinner so go early! You can eat at the bar as well....think I feel a craving coming on!
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
I am so grateful that there is a consistently amazing burger on the East Side. Monday and Tuesday is burger madness prices 10 bucks and you get to pick as many toppings as you want up to six cheeses! It's a half pound burger, And I like to upgrade the fries too sweet potato fries. Eating healthy! Oh yeah! The servers are always smiling and friendly the hostess is the best and nice as can be. There's plenty of parking available and the bathrooms are clean and well stocked. I really appreciated the speed of service. The tavern-like atmosphere was very quaint as well, with a good music selection at a nice volume. I would recommend Arthur's to anyone looking for a reasonably priced delicious burger that is cooked to order!
google avatar

Yelp
Arthur's Anderson will always be a hometown favorite. Their Buffalo chicken sandwich is my absolute fav!!

Jeannie H.

Yelp
What an incredible variety of burgers. Gourmet toppings. Wonderful spot. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
We love Arthur's Anderson! Great food, service and ambiance. They also have half priced drafts on Thursdays which is great.

Yelp
Had the fish and chips and it was delicious. Our server was great and our food came out fast and fresh.

Yelp
Delicious. Everything we had there was worth having again. We will be going back and recommend you go as well. We had Nachos, a Buckaroo Burger and Buffalo Chicken Tenders, we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
For the longest time, I had a really unpopular opinion: Arthur's Anderson is overrated. When I was child, my mother took me to the Hyde Park location frequently and I've always had a soft spot for the OG. I was originally super pumped when they opened the Anderson location as I worked in Eastgate at the time. However, my first experience was a bad one and I boycotted for four years. Four whole damn years. Last time I came here I wasn't even legally allowed to drink! What made me come back? My parents called and said they were going to dinner at Arthur's and asked if I wanted to join. I don't know about your family, but 98% of the time I eat out with my parents they pay. I may technically be an adult, but in the wise words of my father, "if it's free it's for me!". I walked into to my family already sitting at a booth, polishing off a plate of wonton poppers. The poppers come with 'pink salsa', which the server told us is simply salsa, mayo, and sour cream mixed together. Such an easy combination but man was it divine. The whole family ordered burgers of varying temperatures because of burger madness. We made sure to each order a side of pink salsa for our fries. The last time I was here, the server insisted I order my burger medium as they "cook their burgers like steaks." As if I hadn't been a patron of Arthur's since before I could walk or anything. I took her advice to shut her up, and 45 minutes later I was greeted to a hockey puck slightly resembling a burger. The server did not test my desired burger temp this visit. I happily received a medium rare burger, albeit 30 minutes later. They're not the fastest cooks around. Nothing to complain about this time with the food, as my burger was cooked perfectly. The pink salsa really helped with the fries; I think next time I'll order them well done as they seemed like they were originally frozen and they came out limp. Arthur's Anderson and I have worked out our differences, I think. I'd say they could be a little faster on the cooking, but you can't rush a well-cooked burger. I'll definitely be back soon; I can't go too long without pink salsa.

Yelp
My wife and I went here while her family was in town over the past weekend. We'd seen the place a couple times and liked the look of the Burger Madness deal, so we decided to stop in for lunch after church. We were seated as soon as they pushed a couple tables together for the eight of us, and our server was prompt in taking drink orders. Overall, our server, Sara(h) was very accommodating, helpful, and polite. We had several additions, removals, and preferences for foods that made the table's orders fairly complicated, but (almost) everything came out exactly as ordered. Many of us got the Burger Madness, including my wife and I. The price was very reasonable, $9.49, for a burger with basically any toppings desired and a side of fries. I didn't expect much from the fries, but they were actually very crispy and had great flavor. For my burger, I got sauteed mushrooms, bacon, Greek olives, chipotle barbecue sauce, and pepper jack cheese. I like my burger medium well, and when I got my meal, everything tasted pretty good. The burger was juicy and the toppings were good. Nit-picky complaints were that the Greek olives were fairly bland, when usually they have a really strong flavor that I enjoy, and I thought the burger itself could use a little more seasoning. My wife enjoyed her meal, but she ordered her burger medium rare and it came out pretty near rare. She scooped a little bit of the inside out because it was just too raw for her. Everyone else in our party seemed to enjoy their meals. I would say that the food was probably a three or three and a half, but with great service and my wife and I having a bill of $25 between the two of us, I had a very good experience here.

Yelp
My parents and siblings were in town over the weekend, and I wanted to take them to a sit down restaurant. I thought it would be cool to take them to a place near downtown, but we planned to go to Jungle Jim's, so we stayed near my place. I live in Batavia, so there aren't a lot of options for nicer restaurants. It's mainly chains. However, I knew Arthur's was in the area and had gotten multiple coupons in the mail for their "Burger Madness" deal. My husband loves burgers, and so does my family, so it seemed like a great fit. The service was easily five stars. We were a bigger party (there were eight of us), and there were A LOT of modifications. Our waitress handled this with ease. The food all came out correctly, and our drinks were refilled promptly every time. My reason for three stars is the food itself. My family and husband quite liked their food. Mine was just okay. I always order my burgers medium rare. In my opinion, it makes a burger way better. My burger was pretty raw in some spots; it was so rare that I didn't eat parts of it. Additionally, I had ordered my burger with sauteed peppers, onions, and mushrooms. The mushrooms were the only ones actually sauteed. The onions and peppers were only warmed up a little. On the bright side, the fries were actually quite delicious, and the mayo was really tasty too. I would come back to Arthur's. The service was really good, and the food was decent. I just wish my burger as well as my onions and peppers had been cooked longer.

Brandi W.

Yelp
As always excellent burgers! The service was outstanding and don't get me started on the fried cheese! Do yourself a favor and eat here....

Yelp
A billboard down the street for Arthur's says "size matters." After having passed the billboard dozens of times, we decided to try Arthur's on one of the "Burger Madness" days. Burger Maddness allows patrons to add a selection of additional toppings, to particular burgers, for no extra charge. With the added toppings, the burger was almost too larger to take a bite of. Their claims about size are no joke. Burgers came with french fries. I enjoyed the fries as much as I enjoyed the burger. Doneness of our burgers was as ordered. Default doneness for the children's burgers is well done. Lettuce, tomato, pickles & onions may be added to the children's burgers upon request. Children's meals come with both french fries and applesauce. A fountain frink is included as well. Service was great. We were greeted upon entry. We were then promptly seated. Our server was happy and kind towards both adults and children. She came back frequently to check on us, and to refil drinks. We were also thanked by the hostess upon departing. Arthur's is decorated with various pieces of beer memorabilia. Included are signs from local breweries. There are also various t.v. sets about. It's a bit of a modern pub feel. We look forward to returning to Arthur's.

Yelp
In my opinion the meal was about a 2.5 rating. My daughter and I stopped in here for dinner yesterday evening before a concert at Riverbend. We were sat quickly after entering and a server brought menus and took our drink orders right away. We both ordered water and I ordered a Manhattan. I think I'd pass on the Manhattan if I am to drop by again. It was ok but I've definitely had much better. Thankfully, we were there during Happy Hour so my drink was $2.00 cheaper than normal. I ordered the Original Arthur's Burger, which is served with the standard toppings and a side of fries. I like that you can order it the way you'd like it cooked and that the menu has a clear description of the cooking instructions. I ordered my burger medium, described as hot and red throughout. My daughter ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, also served with fries. It took awhile for our food to come out so we knew that we'd definitely miss the first opening act at the concert. No big deal but it wasn't busy so I'm not sure why it took so long. My burger was over-cooked. It was not cooked medium but well-done. It was a bit dry and I could tell it would've been a really good burger had it been prepared properly. My daughter did not like her sandwich. It was clear why when looking at it. It's a very, very thin piece of chicken. Like it had been pounded thin. Then it's breaded and a lot of buffalo sauce poured over. The breading was thicker than the chicken and the large amount of sauce made it a messy sandwich to eat. My daughter said, because the chicken was so thin, she could not taste that it was chicken. All that could be tasted was fried breading and buffalo sauce. The fries for both dishes were prepared fine and were the standard plain fries. The service, while slow, was friendly and polite. I have no complaints about our service. I just found the food to be lacking and I'm not likely to seek this place out for another meal anytime soon.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times. Gotten a burger each time. They are THICK and juicy and cooked just perfectly. I don't remember what else I have gotten because the burgers are SO memorable.

Bobo C.

Yelp
Now open in Anderson, Arthur's Cafe: Anderson. It's located where the former Perkins used to be, between 8 Mile and Nagel Rd on Beechmont Ave. I unknowingly (this evening) went to their 2nd day of business. I thought they had been open for a few weeks. That said, a lot of the staff appeared a little green/young. One of the bar tenders used a cheat sheet to describe a couple of beers, but that's understandable considering it was their second day in business. And I'd rather they have a cheat sheet than just a guess. Staff made a point to remember my name, and which beer I'd had to see if I'd like another. Their menu is identical to the Hyde Park location, and I was told there will be a new addition to the burger menu called "The Anderson". I would be negligent if I didn't mention the Burger Madness every Sun, Mon, Tues. unlimited toppings, and cheeses limited to 6... yeah, limited to 6 cheeses!? Sitting at the bar with a HP location regular on one side, and a couple who'd never been to the HP Arthur's, we were all getting along joking about my impending heart attack after seeing the size of my burger, and it really had a great friendly local bar kind of vibe, as we were all strangers. Benefit that this location, Parking!! Huge parking lot surrounds the Anderson location. Oh yeah, free Wifi is a plus as well. Password: arthurswifi . Nice local addition to the national chain restaurant strip that is Beechmont Ave.! Welcome to the Farther East!!

Yelp
I'm honestly upset that I haven't visited Arthur's before now. I'm not a huge burger fan, and I assumed that is mostly what they served. I ordered to go- a salad- crazy, I know! Usually salads to go contain the rotten lettuce and veggies that fell on the floor (at least thats what it seems like). That is so far from true here! I got the cobb salad, and it was perfect! Everything was fresh, and they even lined the container with a piece of wax paper to keep it from leaking in the bag. They included plastic silverware (I can't say how many times I've received no utensils on a to go order...), which was great! Their kids menu looked like it would accommodate my picky little ones, so I look forward to actually eating in the restaurant soon!

Yelp
Food not great l went once and not going back. The burger is horrible. I took my parents there and was Embarrassed to say the least.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! What a pleasant surprise! We were greeted with smiles and laughter. The positive energy in this place is palpable! This is one of those rare establishments where everyone actually seems to love their jobs! Way to go, management! The customer experience is similar to what you'd receive in fine dining from their wait staff; attentive, friendly, accommodating, and customer-service oriented. Every single person, from the host to the manager, greeted us with smiles as we walked to our seat. Drinks arrived immediately and food was served hot and tasty. The turkey burger was phenomenal. When I inquired about the ingredients, the manager brought out labels for me to read! Salads were fresh and the burgers were delicious. This place was so unassuming from the outside and a total gem on the inside. Way to go, management! Great job!

Yelp
Burger madness is Sunday through Tuesday, unlimited toppings! The burgers are fresh, made to order at any temperature you choose. I recommend the Boursin Burger!

Caro W.

Yelp
Food & seevice both lackluster. So called famous burgers nothing special. Go to Mt Lookout! Avoid Anderson

Yelp
I wish we had come sooner. We have been in town for 4 days and haven't really had a good meal. The Chinese buffet down the street was better than expected but Arthur's was a surprising hit. The Arthur's chili was fantastic and the wonton appetizers were super creamy. I got Arthur's burger and it was cooked perfectly. My wife really enjoyed the coleslaw that came with her fish and chips. Even the tea was great. I actually kept the server running trying to keep up with my refills but she did great, I was never left empty which for me is difficult. We got the bread pudding and brownie for desert. Wifey really enjoyed the bread pudding and while the brownie could use a bit more cream to mellow out the super chocolatey topping it was pretty good.

Mary S.

Yelp
Best cheese sticks anywhere. Great burgers and excellent service. Great neighborhood spot.

David P K.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere but don't check in with yelp! they don't use yelp check in anymore

Yelp
Everything I have tried has been good. From the Turkey Club to the Fish Sandwich. Service is always available and friendly.

Yelp
Arthur's has always been a go to spot over the years. Used to hit the one in Hyde Park after church all the time for the burger madness. Can't beat it really. This was my first time at the Anderson location. While the food is still great, it was the staff that made the experience. Everyone was just happy and smiling. Saying hi when we walked in and bye when we left. Our server seemed kind of new, but she made up for any lack of knowledge with her personality. That goes such a long way. Especially with recent dining out experiences lately. Burgers are the hot thing here, but I enjoy their fish and chips as well. And omg, the fried cheese app is a must order for me every time lol.

Yelp
Really, this place gets a 3.5 star rating from me. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with Arthur's Anderson location, but neither was I wowed by it. Solid burgers, good fries and a decent beer list. Other points in their favor include a pretty good list of specialty burgers, a better selection of salad options than most burger joints, and the opportunity to order burgers the "Sally" size which is a 5 oz patty versus the regular (8 oz, I think). If you need a quick, satisfying dinner this will get you by.
