Article 24

My friends and I met up at Article 24 and had a great evening. The drinks were good, especially the margarita. The stand out to us were the nachos. Not only were they tasty you actually got a lot of value out of them since there’s toppings throughout the nacho layers unlike other loaded nachos I’ve ordered from other places. The place had a casual vibe to it and made me feel relaxed. It can get loud on Tuesday because of trivia, but I didn’t find that to be an issue. Came back here recently and got sandwiches and calamari. The calamari was really good and sandwiches were fine. I would stick to shareable and tacos for food next time. As always good vibes and a great place for a drink.

Excellent place for some innovative American food! The dishes have very interesting names, and are very delicious!! The service is great, very attentive and chill. The indoor area is spacious, with nice and upbeat music and atmosphere. Moreover, there are large screens on the walls playing sports events.. Highly recommended!

Great food, service and drinks! Lots of seating and options whether to sit at the bar, high chairs or the classic low chairs. Lighting is always ambient with calm, light tunes playing in the background. The waitstaff is very polite and personable! Bartender DEF has an idea as to how drinks are made* Food is delicious, not a wait at all for the food to come out. It's always a great time here, at Article 24

We called in a pick up order while stuck in traffic coming from Agganis Arena. They said 15 min. It took us almost 30 to get there 😖 then we walked about 8 min to our hotel so the food was definitely not hot anymore yet it was still DELICIOUS, especially the nachos. They were truly loaded. Friendly staff during pick up. Definitely looking forward to returning and eating inside.

Had a great dinner at Article 24! There’s a large drink section and good menu options. The staff was super friendly and attentive! Was a big fan of the braised short rib! The food was really good but think it could’ve been even better if cooked like a min less and had a little more sauce. Overall a great experience and will return!

Came in for brunch today and sat at the bar. Ordered a Redeye for a drink and a Brunch Burger. The Redeye is great to help you wake up in the morning after a long night. Cold brew coffee and vodka is what it mainly has. Also has a slight sweetness to it as well. The Brunch Burger. A perfectly sized patty, well seasoned and cooked to a slight more then my liking but not an issue for me to have. A slice of American cheese, a runny sunny side up fried egg, 3-4 slices of bacon, 4 slices of a dill pickle, a fantastic sauce spread with minced onions, a slice of tomato and iceberg lettuce and a soft and great tasting brioche bun. Cutting the burger in half watching the egg running down the center of the the burger is wonderful to watch, the flavors of all the components of the burger is one of the best bites you will have in a burger. Definitely a high recommendation to have this for a nice brunch after a long night of partying.

This place is adorable and was really crowded for Tuesday night trivia! The trivia was great with an awesome host and the service was good as well. They do $3 tacos on Tuesday nights from their downstairs menu (who knew they had a second seating area with a different menu downstairs!) which were delicious!! You can also order from the downstairs menu upstairs to do trivia or in general. I’ve always heard good things about article 24 and id say it did live up to the hype! I have also heard great things about their brunch but the menu looks like a ton of fried food which is not totally my style.. needless to say, awesome place and great trivia!!

Little bit overpriced but the food was amazing! Service was top notch too! I got a burger and a soda. My server did not let my soda get below a quarter full! Pretty impressive in my opinion! We also ordered the stuffed pork. It was a little dry but flavorful. Would love to come back here again.

Article 24 neponset gold blonde ale 5/5 bell's brewing amber 4/5 mexican corn/elote dip 4/5 Cute neighborhood bar that has events/something going on nearly every night. I went with a friend to check it out during a karaoke night. It was a fun time. There wasn't a huge crowd that showed up so anyone who wanted to sing got a shot at it and there was some major talent that night. I was impressed. Service was quick, no complaints. We didn't have any issues ordering. It's typical bar food, nothing crazy and the interior of the place has a nice vibe to it - not a sports bar or pub feel. A little more upscale maybe? Would come again for a chill time and to check out the other events they have going on throughout the week (trivia, comedy shows, etc.). There's ample street parking that's free around that area. You shouldn't have any issues finding a spot nearby.

A nicely decorated restaurant serving yummy pub food, and large drinks too. The inside has colorful and nostalgic wall art which I l love to see. We got seated immediately on a Friday night and had a super friendly server. The service was quick too. A win win. My go-to drink here is the red sangria. Delicious. It comes in a large glass and is served with a lemon and lime to squeeze in if you're into that. I often crave specifically Article 24's nachos which is exactly what led us to dining here Friday night. You can get them with chicken (pictured) but next time I definitely want to try them with sloppy Joe meat instead. The chips are always crunchy, and there's a generous slap of sour cream on top, all in addition to the jalepenos, tomato's, cut lettuce melted cheese sauce, and chopped onions it comes with. I don't order with olives but it comes with those too. They don't have a parking lot so you'll have to find nearby street parking but definitely check them out!

SERVICE: Our waitress stopped by often and was very friendly and joking, loved the vibe. It was not packed but still busy inside, and they had comedy going on downstairs for $20. FOOD: We snacked on the chicken tenders with a side of blue cheese dip, ranch, mango habanero, and garlic Parmesan. My favorite was the garlic Parmesan, but the chicken was good with all of them. We also had the street corn dip with their on house made tortillas, which was also yummy. DRINK: I had the Jalisco, and the spiced ginger beer in it was good. My friend had the pinky blinder, which she said tasted watered down from the ice.

This review is to the ppl who recommended the steak and cheese, my sister got the steak n cheese and it had no cheese sent it back to and asked for more cheese and came back the same. We're just laughing. Poorly done. No peppers. Just dry I got the black bean burger and it was homemade and it was solid. For dessert we got the molten cake was slightly burnt tasting however we still ate it lol Overall a solid 3.

Went to this dive bar for a few drinks and snacks Before a show at Roadrunner, avoid this place at all costs, rodents are everywhere and the staff is lazy. When we asked about our food and drinks, which took over an hour the Manager who was just sitting at the bar seemed upstet that we interrupted his nightly routine. We watched him for the next 30 minutes to see if he was going to do something but no, He just went back to the bar and laughed and ate food. Glad to see he was fed before us!! Absolutely disrespectful staff and lazy management Avoid this place Its no wonder they are closed on Mondays Soon to be closed down forever Overpriced drinks and low end food Severs look like they were hired off the streets This place is garbage

3 families looking for good food and I found Article 24 on Yelp. Great service for a group of 8. Our drinks were always filled and the food came quickly. Got the burger and was so impressed with how perfectly cooked it was and my husband said the bacon jam was so good that he wanted to put it on everything. Also loved that tater tots were a side option. They were also perfectly crunchy. The girls enjoyed the nachos and said the fish tacos were the best. Yelp did not steer us wrong!

Stopped in this place twice while staying in a nearby air bnb. The bartender today is a darling! Last evening was really fun as well! Very festive for Halloween and the energy was through the roof! There was a patron, I think, dressed as an Elvis impersonator and doing a little routine for our table. Really couldn't ask for a more entertaining cap to our evening! The decor is so perfect for a Milwaukee gal on vacation (gas station signs, tan leather booths, wood-panel bartop, and eclectic art.) Food options are interesting and definitely more than just standard pub fare, reasonably priced for the area. I definitely recommend this little restaurant and bar! LGBTQ FRIENDLY.

OMG tonight we went to article 24 for Express Yourself karaoke with the mouth from the south your host Ms Trans Massachusetts Chelsea page moses. This is by far the best karaoke I've ever been to. She was amazing and energetic and inspirational. She kept the audience laughing and intrigued with her racy mouth. It was really entertaining to see a host that will take you on a joyride while you're singing rather you can sing or not . she was hysterical and got the audience involved with people who couldn't sing and even singing herself. I saw her flyer and had to go see what was it all about. I would definitely say check out every third Thursday with the mouth from the south . I truly enjoyed myself as well as my friends we will definitely be going back and looking forward to her October show.American

Fun pub food. Expect to feel a bit greasy and gross after, depending on what you choose to eat (evidently, I chose to eat some of the heavier stuff... but truly, who can say no to mac and cheese balls?!). Pictured: their flourless chocolate cake, which was too sweet and dense. Meanwhile, their apple pie empanada is AMAZING. So amazing, we devoured it before we could take any pics... whoops!

Great spot! Popcorn chicken is a must try! Drinks are good, and nice beer selection. Weekend brunch is a regular stop for us as well.

I will start by saying... I love the ambiance. It is a beautiful and comfortable restaurant. The drinks are great, cold and creative! The food was average. I was really looking forward to it but was let down a little bit. Fries were way overdone (had so much potential), and the burger was just okay.

We had a great experience at Article 24 tonight for dinner. We came in early, around 4, and the place got gradually more and more full from then until 5. Our waiter was absolutely phenomenal, literally such amazing energy. We started off with some apps: fried Brussels and fried pickles. Our mains (steak tips and salmon) were also delicious. They make their own ginger beer so our miles were yummy. Would definitely go back for trivia night or one of their other themed nights

I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich here and was warned that it was very spicy. The deep fried patty was of decent size and quality however, the sandwich had no heat whatsoever...until I got close to the center of the bun and was hit by the surprise spot of a fairly spicy hot sauce placed right in the center on top of the chicken. The sauce wasn't the best flavor but it wasn't too bad neither. I just wished it was more evenly distributed. I ordered my sandwich with potato tots, my favorite form of potatoes. The Popcorn chicken was very crispy but lacked any real flavor. While the food was nothing to write home about, Article 24 had a number of great cocktails. Service was good and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Trivia nights here are the best!!! Friendly staff, consistently delicious food and a great tap selection. One of my favorite spots around.

Not a great reuben in my book - the meat was so thick that it was hard to even eat and the flavor balance was all off. The music was really loud and not tasteful. I went on a Monday night with a friend and we were the only ones there. Service was good. I'm not diametrically opposed to returning to try something else but wasn't overly impressed.

Idk man. Maybe ordering take out was not the way to go and the dine-in experience is better but I will probably never experience dining in at Article 24 because of how bad their food is to-go. Steak tips $24 -- my boyfriends comparison "a $4 steak from Stop & Shop" too chewy and tough. The fries are hardly cooked and soggy. Chicken Caesar Salad $19 -- you pay $6 extra for 4 oz. of chicken pre-diced like they scooped it from a bin of cold prepped meat. Romaine was wilted and not fresh. Overall, overwhelming cheap and over priced. We ended up getting food elsewhere for dinner.

Love the drinks and food. Will definitely go back!! The place make you comfortable, service was great and fast didn't wait too long.

Walked in on a Sunday and was surprised that they do a bunch. The food was absolutely amazing. I have been there a few times after work, but never on the weekend. The Avocado "Toast" was delicious and the Chicken and Waffles was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Emily the hostess was extremely helpful! We had a last minute addition to your reservation unexpectedly and Emily was able to accommodate our large group so we could all sit together for trivia! Thank you Emily and Article 24 for your help!

I went here with my family. My mother and I got one glass of wine, we ate a full plate of nachos and burgers. We asked for a second glass of wine for dinner and were refused. Waiter made unbelievably rude comments about "finish your food" and "you don't need one yet". Never had a worst restaurant experience. No explanation. I am not one to get angry, but this experience was so uncomfortable; I was with my parents and 3 YOUNGER brothers. We were not looking to get drunk, just enjoy dinner.

Terrible experience. Went to get some food and drinks after a BC football game with my family. 3:20 pm. Server refused to serve us drinks even though we ordered apps and meals. No reason given.

Pretty horrible experience. Been here multiple times before for the karaoke and had a great time with my friends but the last time we came the staff was exceptionally rude. The kitchen was closed an hour earlier than other times and we were told the karaoke was only open another half an hour so we proceeded to put in our songs due to this limited time crunch for which I had a staff member come up to me and basically say you guys better order a drink or get out. Are any of you even old enough to drink? While my entire friend group was over 21. We had fully planned on ordering drinks but after this encounter none of us felt comfortable enough to stay. Will not be returning since this is how staff treats customers.

Went here for dinner on a Tuesday and booked a last minute reservation for 7:45pm. Turns out they have Tuesday Trivia which began at 8pm so it got a bit noisy but nothing you wouldn't expect from a restaurant bar. We decided to partake in trivia since we were already there. Sitting next to the table by the front door, it was VERY cold given we went on New Year's Eve. They have large windows by the front that look like they can be opened up all the way (probably during the warmer months) but during the winter the draft was tough to sit through comfortably without having to wear my winter jacket. The trivia was fun but very hard to hear at the table we were sitting and the trivia host being located in the middle of restaurant. The food was pretty average. Got a bunch of bar snacks to share and an entree. Nothing was bad but also nothing stood out. I did notice the caesar salad which listed as including anchovies only came with one anchovy which was a let down. We also ordered a chorizo taco but it came out as a fish taco. Didn't bother sending it back but was disappointed that we didn't get what we ordered.

Soooo good. At our server's suggestion, I ordered the tuna melt. Despite reading the menu, I was expecting standard tuna with mayo. Blah, blah, blah. What I got was delicious toasted bread with seared ahi tuna with a sweet tomato jam, which was a wonderful counterpoint to the goat cheese. I'm sorry, goat cheese? On tuna? Who would think that would work? Clearly, people who love to cook. My brother got the fish and chips, which was gorgeous. The restaurant is not glamorous, but don't be fooled. Get gift certificates for friends, schedule your office party, or treat your best friend. It's really good.

Food was horrible, waited for ever to get our drinks watching them pile up to other tables repeatedly, bartender was also kind of a douche shnozzel

Been twice - a biz lunch and a hungover brunch - and both times I left feeling the same way: huge potential, a little short on execution. Only two servers and a bar back upstairs for a fairly packed lunch rush. The burger (originally brunchified with eggs and the like, but they'll scale back if you want to avoid that breakfasty profile) greased through the bottom bun, and for $16, was plain and underseasoned. Not unenjoyable, but not memorable. Chicken and waffles were nicely salted, but the chicken was overdone and dry. Again, a fix with some bonus butter and syrup... still, it sticks as only okay. I'd go back for the beer list and to try a third dish with fingers crossed. Something didn't sit so well with either of the previous visits, but there's something about the place's character that wants me to give it a whole-hearted third shot.

Absolutely love this place! Been my new go-to restaurant/bar in the Allston/Brighton area recently. Every cocktail I've tried has been fantastic. They even have alcoholic Slush Puppies which are delicious if you're craving something sweet and nostalgic! I've tried several appetizers, including the nachos which were yummy. Both the beef and fish tacos were delicious, and the burger was great. 12/10 would recommend!

Fun spot! Article 24 is the kind of place where I go only for trivia nights, and it's always a good time. If you're not going for the trivia, avoid trivia night because it takes over the restaurant and can be quite loud! I imagine karaoke night is the similar, but I have yet to check it out. There's a good amount of space here and the drinks are cheap. Service is nice, and great at dealing with large groups. The food is unfortunately super average, but there's good vibes all around. If you're looking for trivia, Article 24 is on point. If you're looking for good grub, I'd go elsewhere.

I used to visit Article 24 regularly when I lived in the area. Loved coming here for brunch or appetizers after work. I was in the area last week and came in for brunch with some friends after RAVING about it. I hadn't been in about 2 years. I was looking forward to getting the biscuits and gravy with the breakfast potatoes. They don't have biscuits and gravy anymore but I ordered the Avocado "Toast" which is on a savory tomato waffle instead of bread which was great. I also ordered a side of potatoes because they're my favorite. We get our food and I guess they've changed their potato recipe. What I got seemed like bagged frozen home fries, they were bland and kind of soggy. They used to have these huge hunks of potatoes that were deep fried and perfectly crispy. The Mac fritters and drink list is still great(love that you can get a large mimosa), so can't complain too much but I probably won't be back for brunch after the menu changes. :(

Their website claims live music beginning at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Reality is, they aim for 9pm, and then it depends on when the diners vacate the tables where the band is to set up. Article 24 is located on Western Avenue, where they have a small private lot, but I managed to find a parking spot on the street right out in front. For those who prefer the fresh air, there were a couple of tables right out front at their minimal landing. Inside a center bar greets you upon entry, with some additional tables out in the back by the corner where they invite their guest musicians to set up. Their menu shrinks at night. I considered getting their fried fluffernutter $7 dessert, but honestly was still quite full from dinner, and so ended up just picking at my friend's fried pickles $7 though they were a bit too strong for my taste. Service was pleasant and considerate. 3.5 stars.

Honestly really disappointed. I have been coming here for a few years and came out this week for a special occasion since I have moved. I have been RAVING about the food, drinks, ambiance, and service. Our server barley spoke to us. Could care less about customers service. I understand if your are busy things happen but we were one of the 3 tables in the place. Our food came out quick but freezing cold. We told our servicer and she asked us what she should do about it. The manager brought out some warm sides and never checked back. The food would have been great if warm! Cherry on top we waited 30 minutes for our check. The saving grace was a good margarita! Won't be returning :(

I came in with a party of 8 and they were very accommodating! We really liked the vibes and drinks. Our favorite was the Passionate Love Affair. The truffle brussel sprouts, pulled pork nachos and braised short rib were so good we would come back for them. The elote corn pizza was okay as was the trout. Overall, we glad we came by and loved it!

The only reason it even deserves a star was cause the bartender knows how to do their job. This place was such a let down for many reasons and I tried to come several times and when I finally made it on a nice night out I was beyond disappointed. The server we had was completely unprofessional throughout the whole night barely would give us the time to make an order with always keep walking away and it wouldn't even be because she was busy because that's excusable but she was just talking to her coworkers right beside our table. The food was incredibly bland and the nachos were so cold we had to send it back. At the end of the night my friends both were completely dissatisfied with their entrees. They charge $15 for what is really boxed macaroni with no taste at all and room temperature tacos that were dried out. My friends were too nice to say anything but I didn't think food of the quality is anywhere near that price point so when I brought this up to the waitress she completely called me out and claimed we were just trying to get a free meal. When I asked for the supervisor he came over and instead of hearing me out he just said "Is something else wrong? I already refunded your items". Wasn't in anyway apologetic and didn't even listen to what I had to say or why I even called him over. I usually try to support local businesses but poor management is one thing but being blatantly disrespectful and accusatory to guests doesn't fly with me. There's plenty of reasonably priced restaurants that actually WORK for their dollar that deserves support. At this price point they have a nerve giving Less than McDonald's level service and FYI... I spend more than this on food daily. I'm not sure if it was because we were young people of color but NO ONE NEEDED A FREE MEAL... I just didn't think my friends should pay almost $20 for entrees they didn't enjoy enough to have more than 2 bites out of. I wish them good luck but I'll take my money elsewhere....

Had a great birthday dinner here with my boyfriend and his parents! Food was all delicious! The hot chicken sandwich is definitely HOT. Definitely get the taters over the fries. Great service from Steven, as always! He's awesome.

What a great place to grab some food and drinks with your friends. I have always liked this place but it has gotten even better with a new chief. I had the fish tacos and the fish was so fresh and toppings were full of flavor. The wait staff made sure we had everything we needed. The parking situation has changed. There was on street parking when I went on an early Friday night. After 6 there is limited parking across the street.

If this was a rating on the food only it would be a 1 star. Went for dinner on a Friday at 6 with 4 people and the place was packed. Lively environment, everyone was happy, and it seemed like a great place to be. Th host was very nice and transparent and said they had a reservation coming in at 7:30 if we were okay leaving by that time. That was no problem for us as an hour and a half is plenty of time for dinner and a drink. The drink menu was good and service was good so we got our drinks quickly. The food menu and the items listed on them were good, but the execution and quality of the ingredients were not. On the appetizer menu the street corn calamari caught our eye. The dish we got kind of missed the street corn part. There was no corn and it had a very little bit of a garnish which may have been the queso fresco and chili powder you would find on street corn. The calamari itself wasn't prepped, breaded, and fried in an appetizing way. It was basically soggy and bland and it was very disappointing. For the main course 2 of us got bbq pulled pork sandwich and two got pork tacos. It was a bad night for pork. The pork in all our dishes were dry. The bun on the sandwich was much colder than the pork and it just didn't work. No one was able to finish any dish. I got sick that night and threw it up anyway. I'm so thankful I didn't get the spicy chicken sandwich as I feel throwing that up may have sent me to the ER. Keep in mind my stomach is tough as nails so getting me sick takes really bad food. I can't even recommend going back for drinks because once you start drinking you might want to snack on something. Also supporting this place with their culinary atrocities would be against my moral code. They would have to overhaul their kitchen before I thought about going near that place or thought about recommending it to anyone.

I really wanted to like this place based on everyone's reviews but it just wasn't satisfying. Pros: Allston can be tricky to park in but there's a parking lot! Really chill vibe from getting drinks with friends or going on a date. They serve food until midnight! Joon was awesome. It looked like he was the only server there on a busy Friday night, but he was able to check in on us multiple times and make sure our water glass was never empty! Cons: The menu states pico de gallo comes with the nachos, but unfortunately it's only diced tomatos. Pico consists of tomatos, onions, cilantro, jalapeños, and lime juice, so their menu is inaccurate and misleading. Also the chips were really salty. The crispy chicken sandwich wasn't good either. The chicken wasn't that crispy, and the cheese and peppers just didn't work in the sandwich. Overall super disappointing. Won't be back.

I recently moved to Brighton, and Article 24 is relatively close. I've been to Article twice since I moved to Brighton in its such a gem. The environment is welcoming. The interior decor is funky with cool art and I like that. The food is basic American food in which I have no complaints about. All In all article 24 is a cool place so make sure you stop by. My favorite thing about this place has to be the sign. They change the signs outside regularly and man oh man they are so funny.

Stopped by here last night to grab a drink and some bar bites. The bar is a nice u shape and there is space. I got the pint of night shift ale and ordered the pigs in a blanket, tots and deviled eggs. Everything came out fast and was amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Had brunch in their super fun igloos and we were all over the moon. The food was delicious! The igloos were very warm, even opened a window at one point. But the best part was our server Stephen. He was very knowledge about the menu, super attentive & absolutely hysterical. Would 100% go back!

Here's a thought... if your business hours indicate that you are open until 9PM, then maybe you should stay open until 9PM. I arrived at 8:44 to a locked door and a manager who propped it open to at 8:45 to say "sorry last call." If you want to close before 9PM, then change your hours to 8:30. Simple as that, people

Very good experience! We came here as a large group, spanning ages 16-82. Not the easiest to juggle a variety of family needs but they did a great job. Fast refills on soda. Very knowledgeable about the menu. After a few days of holiday food, I wanted a hamburger and tater tots. Hamburger, cooked medium, was seasoned well and juicy. Tater tots....mmmm...crispy on outside, piping hot inside. You know that scene in Harry Met Sally in the diner? I wanted to scream out Yes as these tots were perfection. But I retained as I was there with the in-laws and that woulda just been awkward. So I just ate all the tots instead.

DINNER REVIEW Cliff notes: Cheap beer, pretty good bar food, good vibes Would give this place 3.5 stars if I could but alas the Yelp system restricts me. Came here early on Friday night (6:15) as we had a comedy show in the neighborhood and I was surprised by how busy the place was. Not quite a line but almost every table was full. SETTING: Great vibes, lots of exposed bricks, one of those cool wrap-around bars, definitely a neighborhoody feel. However, we did get seated next to the door and it did not close so we had to get up to close it every time someone came in or out so we wouldn't get cold. SERVICE: Friendly and accommodating. We initially had 4 and then 2 more came and they graciously moved us to a table of 6. DRINKS: CHEAP BEER ALERT! I had a 22 oz. Night Shift for $8 which is not very common in Boston. And it came in a chilled glass, which was a nice touch! FOOD: This place has typical bar food but with some twists which I like. The menu is a bit "tongue in cheek" as one of my friends pointed out they listed "cukes" instead of "cucumbers" as an ingredient in a salad. We started with a couple of appetizers: the Mac Fritters and the Pigs in the Blanket. Mac Fritters - I mean, it's hard to mess these up and they will be good no matter what. It was technically shells and cheese (not macaroni and cheese) and I wish there was more sriracha aioli dipping sauce...it was only garnished on the plate. Pigs in a Blanket - I don't love hot dogs but these were some of the better pigs in a blanket I've had. Instead of a mini-wiener, these used sliced regular-size hot dogs with a puff pastry wrapped around it. The puff pastry was perfectly buttery and flakey. I was between the Biltmore Burger and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich so my friend and I ordered each and split them. Biltmore Burger - this was very juicy and came covered in grilled onions. I would eat just about anything covered in grilled onions. The side salad was meh but it's a bar salad, I don't expect much. Crispy Chicken Sandwich - a little too thin and dry for my liking, would have preferred a thicker piece of chicken. The waffle fries were AMAZING though. Overall, I would be back if I was in the area but won't travel across the city for this place.

the food was fine, average American fare. i've had unpleasant customer service experiences with one specific worker at this place twice. the first time, it was around May 2023 and they were behind the bar, made eye contact with me and the person i was with and said unpromptedly "these people BETTER leave soon" and then the second time was in August 2023 and they mumbled toward my party that we could sit anywhere we wanted as we walked in. we weren't sure what they had said because it was loud and didn't hear them, so we stood a moment a bit confused and they made a judgmental face at us and gave us attitude and repeated we could sit anywhere and acted like we were odd for continuing to stand there/seemed like we were inconveniencing them when we just hadn't heard them over the music. we felt a bit unwelcomed by this individual several times, which is a shame because this is a nice bar

So it finally happened, my much anticipated trip to Article 24. I never cross the Allston/Brighton line, but when your fellow yelpers are gushing about a place as much as this, you do things you've never done before. As far as space and atmosphere, It doesn't really get any better than this. Cool, funky, retro, hip, all acceptable descriptions. The floor is brightly lit and includes a large bar with the addition of a large dining room downstairs. This makes article 24 a great host for large parties. I'm pretty much a food purist(is that a thing?) The food is 80% of the attraction for me. I'd go back to a place with 4 white walls and mediocre customer service if the food was amazing. As a result, everything other than the food is bonus... So on to the main attraction....Brunch and dinner seems to offer the most options but I happened to stop by for lunch. There's only so much one man can stuff his face with so I went with: Mac and cheese fritters: absolute geniuses. I am convinced this was conceived by a nearby MIT grad trying to marry food and science on his spare time. How exactly does one put that sort of Perfectly crispy exterior while leaving the Mac and cheese completely unaffected by the frying process. The perfect appetizer! Pig in a blanket: prepared in the traditional way, a mini sausage wrapped in pastry. Nothing particularly stands out or elevates this version. Caesar salad: see above. Nothing special here. For $9, you'd expect more than just lettuce croutons and dressing. This is advertised as including anchovy but it was either Omitted or irrelevant. Baja tacos: pickled cabbage, guacamole, pico. Sounds great! Too bad sound doesn't have taste. Somehow it all translated to bland. Where's the seasoning?!? Of course I had to be the one to ruin the honeymoon, but the food just didn't do it for me overall. Of course the fritters are a huge exception!! Maybe next time....

I came here for Sunday brunch and even though the place seemed packed, the wait was only 5 minutes. There is plenty of street parking as well as a small parking lot so you don't have to worry about circling for a spot. On sundays, they have 50% off appetizers which include the Mac fritters. I definitely recommend getting this. It was the highlight of my meal! It was nice and crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. If this was my meal, I would be very happy! For my entree, I got the teachers pet pancakes. These are chocolate chip pancakes. I didn't like the taste of the butter so I just stuck with syrup. The pancakes were fluffy but one thing that bothered me was that all the chocolate chips were placed in the center of my pancake, so that when I cut a piece from the side, I would have 0 chocolate chips but when I cut a piece in the middle, it would be too much. I didn't like that I had to cut bits and pieces from various angles of my pancake just to get the right chocolate chip to pancake ratio. My bf ordered the crispy chicken BKT with tater tots. The tots were warm (not hot) and tasted like they were laying around for a while. The flavor of the sandwich was good but the chicken seemed really dry which made it hard to eat. Overall, I think there is potential for this place. It seems very inviting as a bar. I may be back to try their dinner or just for a drink at the bar, but I won't be itching to go back anytime soon.

It has a lot of seating and TVs. Probably a fine place to grab a drink and fried appetizers while watching sports. The music is unfortunately loud and you can't really talk easily. Not a great place for friends to meetup. The food was fair. I had the chicken sandwich which was hot, a little fishy tasting, and tough. The fries were dry and barely warm. Friend had the breakfast burrito which looked kinda empty. Each of us paid $20 including a tip, with no alcohol. Service was good.

I was really excited to go here after looking at the menu but was pretty disappointed with the food. I ordered the steak and egg hoagie and was served steak tips and eggs which would've been fine except that the steak was completely raw. The server was very nice and got me my correct meal and did not charge us for it. The mimosa was strong, definitely not diluted with more OJ. Overall it was okay, but I will not be rushing back.
