I got really into painting this year, and for my birthday, my husband went all out—did a deep dive into watercolour research and, with the help of one of Articulation's super knowledgeable employees completely spoiled me with an incredible upgrade to my supplies. Since then, every time I’m in Toronto, I make it a point to visit Articulations, and every single experience has been amazing. I’ve been lucky enough that that same person (Erin) that helped him has been there the last three times I’ve visited, and she’s always taken the time to answer my endless list of questions with so much patience and insight. Her recommendations are thoughtful and always spot-on for what I need. It honestly feels like chatting with a friend—she’s even hooked me up with samples so I can keep growing as an artist and explore what works best for me. Articulations is such a gem of a store, and the level of care and knowledge here is unmatched. I always leave feeling inspired, and I know I’ll be a customer for life! 🎨✨

One of my favorite art supply stores. Everything is super curated, and you can tell the staff is very knowledgeable and proud of the products they sell. They also offer classes and activities which helps foster a fantastic supperitive and safe arts community (and this is coming from someone who isn't normally a joiner!) Ordering online and picking up in person is a seamless experience. But also a great spot to browse and maybe find something you didn't know you needed. Will always be a return customer..

Google
A true gem in the Junction! Articulations is a beautifully curated, locally owned art store with a warm, welcoming vibe. Erin helped me and was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable – they made the whole experience feel personal and inspiring. I left with exactly what I needed and a big dose of creative motivation. Can’t wait to come back!

Lovely art supply store! High quality items that I can't find in other stores. I was greeted immediately by both a human, and a lovely little dog, who did her best to give me a tour of the store! haha 😆.

Google
Like pure heaven. Articulations offers a beautifully curated selection of art supplies including brands you can’t find anywhere else. They also offer affordable classes in all sorts of different mediums in their light-filled space.

How to shop for your art supplies in this pandemic when you hate online shopping? Try ARTiculations. I email them a couple photos of the oil brushes that I have, told them what I like / dislike, and what I wanted to use the brushes for. They replied to my email promptly with very good suggestions. ARTiculations carries some unique brands that you can't find in the major art supply stores. I bought some Rosemary oil brushes and Michael Harding oil paints (both are UK brands). They are beautiful. I personally think Rosemary is better quality than Raphael (and they are about the same price). Thank you Marie for handpicking the brushes for me and thank you for ARTiculating what I need. Have fun painting!

Yelp
Wonderful service. Like the best. Interesting selection of paint you cant find elsewhere like Micheal Harding. Gave 4 stars just because selection was limited but this is a great art store

Yelp
Great selection of art supplies that can't be found elsewhere in Toronto. The staff are helpful, nice and know their art materials. A beautiful, small space with gallery windows in front and art exhibition space in back.

Yelp
First off, I'll try really hard with this review to stay away from the obvious pun. Located between some great home furnishings store is the little beauty. My friend and I wandered in on a Sunday afternoon to find a children's art class going on. The staff were highly engaged in the class but did briefly stop to greet us and to let them know if we needed anything. The space isn't huge as the majority of it seems to be dedicated to their art classes, but they have the basic supplies, plus some other fun items that are sure to catch your eye. There is a small room which looks to be a gallery of sorts, but it was hard to tell exactly what was going on with the space. As with many of the other stores in The Junction, you can find business cards and pamphlets for other local businesses and artists. April challenge 16/30

Yelp
This is a seriously cool art store. I'd come in here just to peruse, touch things, buy a few things to do some art. They have basic supplies, they are very well laid out and organized, and very friendly. I think it's fantastic!

Yelp
An amazing art store that really tries to be a part of the Junction community. I started taking a course there shortly after moving from the East end and got to know the owners and get closer to this new community. If you have thought about taking a workshop there, think no more. Do it! They have a very unique collection of art supplies that would be hard to find anywhere else with reasonable prices. Very excited for their future projects. Also, who could resist Charlie (the dog)!?

Yelp
This is an awesome store - has many beautiful, useful and top quality art supplies and products. The setup is beautiful - very nice vibe from the layout and lighting. A nice place to be in. the service is really excellent - they're willing to chat about products and are attentive but not pushy/in your face. it's not a place to go for 'discounted supplies'. not overpriced but not somewhere to go to save. Also took a linocut workshop here that was excellent-great instructor, great materials, and good admin stuff in terms of organization and payment. great experience with that.

Yelp
My daughters really enjoyed their art workshops here, Heather is an amazing teacher who really loves what she does. Mickey is always a warm and friendly soul who is eager to help you find what you're looking for. The store is beautifully curated, I'll be back soon :)

Yelp
Agree heartily with the other positive comments. ARTiculations has an old-world feel - it fits well with the Junction community. In addition to the art classes, there's an array of high-quality art supplies for all levels of ability and a well-stocked collection of stationery items (including the very popular Midori's Traveller's Notebook.) One of the owners (Mickey?) was there when we visited. It's a nice, family-run business and a pleasant change from the hollow big-box stores.
