Wow! A cute quaint little restaurant in Baltimore Maryland that serves fresh, delicious, healthy meals. We were delighted to have been invited by our daughter, to “Try something New and Different.” This place did not disappoint. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely visit again soon. Thank you to the staff for accommodating our requests and making sure that we were satisfied and comfortable.

Google
Really great spot all around. Great prepared food, great baked goods, and great drinks. Lots of options on the menu. Atmosphere is really great but it can get crowded and hard to find a spot. Overall definitely worth visiting.

Google
Great building beautifully restored. Nicely laid out inside, plenty of tables for outside dining. Plethora of menu items, not just coffee. Our cappuccinos were nice and hot. Only negative was it took really long to get just two drinks.

I had not been to Artifact for quite a while and I decided to stop there for breakfast with my 10 year old granddaughter. At 9:30 on a Saturday morning, it was easy to get a table outside. My granddaughter order an iced Chai, the biscuit and a side order of bacon (they have the best bacon). I ordered a Japanese ice coffee, and the lox on rye bread with cucumber and a delicious dressing. Everything was perfect and the waitress was delightful.

We drove through Turin on the way to Elva and stopped at Artifact looking for some delicious espresso after having watered down stuff throughout France and this was INCREDIBLE. The owner has multiple kinds of beans and was so helpful and sweet and makes his own pastries. Would 100% come back!

Google
Easily my favorite coffee spot in all of Baltimore - also a wonderful spot to work remotely - lots of seating and power supply! great food too

Google
The place was very good. I took the cinnamon coffee which was really good. I haven't tasted that before. The mocha coffee is average. The ambience is good. Might be a bit noisy, but if you ignore that, that's a peaceful place to spend time.

Google
One of my favorite places to grab lunch and an awesome iced coffee! The chicken salad sandwich is always delicious and the Moroccan spiced ice coffee is a must! Cozy vibes!

Yelp
I am a big fan of Artifact Coffee. To start with, I love their overall ambiance. Located in an old factory, inside looks like it. They have done an incredible job placing a coffee shop there and not disrupting the charm of the original building. Ambiance is nothing without an excellent product and Artifact's coffee is excellent. Every time I go I sample a different option. Cold brews, Oat Milk lattes, Lavender Latte and Moroccan Spiced Iced Coffee are some of the items I've had during my visits. To date, I've not been let down by anything Artifact serves. During my most recent visit I noticed some weird bottles being handed out to people eating. I inquired about them and learned that Artifact has their own hot sauce in conjunction with a nearby kitchen. I sampled it and left with a bottle. Good stuff! Artifact Coffee has food. I've never eaten there so I can't vouch for any thing (outside of the hot sauce). But man, that coffee. Do yourself a favor and pay Artifact a visit.

Yelp
Artifact Coffee has quickly become one of my all-time favorite spots, and for good reason! Every visit reaffirms why I love this place so much. Their whipped iced latte is a must-try, it's light yet creamy! I'm equally obsessed with their Southern-style Ham Jam sandwich; the flavors are rich and comforting, and it's truly a standout item on their menu. Seriously don't skip it! The internet is reliable, which isnt something you always come by in cafes! I have worked here many times during remote days. The cozy rustic vibes create such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, and their quick service ensures a pleasant experience every time. I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. I always recommend Artifact Coffee to everyone I know--if you haven't been, you're seriously missing out!

Yelp
Cozy. This place could be easily described as the perfect place to go on a cold winter day. The space is small and it has limited seating for lunch time; it took us a long while to get a table. The prices are a bit high for a coffee shop, but the food was great! Their tomato soup was excellent, their smoked trout sandwich brought me back to Iceland (where I had something very similar). The service was great. Parking was a bit hard to find during lunch time, so carpool is needed.

Yelp
Artifact continues to be my favorite place in Baltimore for breakfast sandwiches and killer coffee. They recently changed up the menu a bit and I tried the new smoked whitefish sandwich. Holy sh*t, it's amazing. I added bacon to it, because why not? Their bacon is some of my favorite ever. The flavor of the sandwich was absolutely incredible. I also appreciate that they give you two little sandwiches if you ask for gluten free bread since GF bread is infamously tiny. As always, the coffee is delicious especially their specialty lattes made with their house syrups. The service is consistently friendly and helpful and most of the employees seem genuinely happy to be there. Also, their house hot sauce is some of my favorite. This is a great place to work remote so long as you can find a two top since they leave their four tops reserved for non-laptop using customers. I also like that their outdoor patio continues to be open even after the cafe closes. The inside can be a bit chilly in the summer so bring a sweater.

Yelp
Quite expensive little place, and quality is good and all but I am not sure if the food is worth the price. Service is standard for a coffee shop. Ambiance is pretty much industrial because these are old warehouses being repurposed for cafe space....Chairs are metallic or wood and not very comfortable. Very little padding or pillows.
google avatar

Cammi P.

Yelp
Need an afternoon pick me up? Or an early morning coffee? This coffee was by far one of the best I've ever had in Baltimore. The syrups are all homemade and this caramel iced latte did not disappoint. Personally, it was the best afternoon drink. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and even gave me an ice water to go! Plenty of sitting inside, which I can't wait to go back to and enjoy.

Yelp
Probably the prettiest coffee shop I've ever been to! Came on a weekday afternoon to get some work done. The building is beautiful and they have really nice outdoor seating too. I was a little surprised at how crowded it was for a weekday, so I can only imagine how busy they get on a weekend. They also only have certain tables available for people wishing to stay and work, so keep that in mind when making your plans. I ordered a whipped iced coffee and egg and cheddar breakfast sandwich on an english muffin, which I added sausage to. The coffee was good, but I wished it had been a little sweeter. In hindsight, I'm sure that's something I could have asked them to do! The breakfast sandwich really hit the spot - I liked the flavor of the sausage (which can be hit or miss for me) and the english muffin was nice and fluffy. They have a lot of other unique sandwich options that I'm eager to go back and try. The whipped iced coffee isn't normally something I'd go for, but I think I was lured by the reminder of the popularity of whipped coffee at the start of the pandemic. I've heard good things about their syrups, so I'm excited to go back and try them. I definitely recommend this spot!

Yelp
Artifact Coffee is an inviting cafe with plenty of seating for big and small groups. This place was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon, but the turn around is rate is quite fast. Their toasted killer ham sandwich was perfection.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
Artifact Coffee was my go to coffee place but they recently changed ownership and while their coffee and food is still good, it's just not quite the same. Artifact gets super busy on the weekends. The tables in the back are for dine in only and you have to order food. If you don't you'll be asked to move (which we were very rudely asked by one of the workers even after we ordered food). If you want to study or stay for an extended time you have to sit at the tables in the front or the high chairs in the back. This used to be one of my favorite coffee spots but with the poor service and change in ownership I've transitioned to some new coffee shops.

Yelp
I love this place! The vibes are immaculate, the playlist is FIRE, anddd since they were busy and our wait was long they refunded us. Amazing customer service! Everyone was so kind!
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
This is a delightful and reliable coffee and study/work location. Inside is cozy and charming. Outside there are ample seating options to enjoy the weather and coffee. The service is friendly and prompt.

Yelp
Just found this amazing cafe, delicious sandwich, latte and ambiance. Plenty of outdoor tables and lawn seatings.

Yelp
Great coffee, great vibes in a historic building. Heard about this place from a YT travel channel. I'm so fortunate to have learned about this place! It's a building with an "old soul" feel to it. Be wary of going on a weekend or later in the morning as it can get busy. I ordered a drip coffee with two pastries from their bakery. They offer fresh baked goods that are in a bakery display case. I chose to have my coffee and pastries at the establishment rather than grab and go. I sat a picnic style table with other patrons which was a pleasant experience. The noise level is average as well. If you're in Baltimore and love good coffee along with fresh bakery, check out Artifact Coffee. They also have various coffee beverages and breakfast food items besides pastries. I would love to return here someday.

Yelp
Larry was amazing upon my arrival! I informed him I had never visited and he gave me first hand his recommendations on how to really get a full glimpse of the menu. Everything was PERFECT, from the Moroccan iced coffee, to the poncho and lefty sandwich which had an amazing black bean spread and thick pieces of bacon. This place is definitely a fav of mine now .

Yelp
Nice location with decent amount of parking, coffee was nice with balanced acidity. Sandwich was fresh tasting. Outdoor area fairly large and indoor seating available. Will recommend

Yelp
I visited here on a rainy Saturday and this was the perfect place to relax and drink some good coffee at. The parking lot was absolutely packed when we arrived, so we were worried we wouldn't find a table, but luckily one opened up for us right after ordering. I tried one of their lavender lattes and also ordered a turkey sandwich (which might have been on their seasonal menu?). After a few minutes, everything was brought out to our table. I really enjoyed my latte, since the lavender taste was very light, it was exactly what I wanted. However, I didn't really enjoy the turkey sandwich.. it was much smaller than I expected (especially given the price) and it just had a lot of random ingredients that didn't really go together in my opinion. Still, I really enjoyed my experience here and would love to try some of their other sandwiches or baked goods. This really is a great spot to relax and hang out at if that's what you're looking for.

Yelp
I dropped by Artifact on a bustling Sunday morning. All seats inside were filled and there was a line of people waiting to order. For the amount of patrons, service was quick. Shared tables are available for those working and other tables are available if you'd like to enjoy the space alone or with a group. There are plenty outside tables as well. The gentleman at the counter answered all questions with ease and made great suggestions. The sweet potato muffin was seriously to die for with bits of smooth sweet potato inside. The chocolate chip cookie had crispy edges with a chewy center. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit and my girlfriend ordered the egg, sausage and cheese English muffin. Both were delicious.

Yelp
Super cute interior and outside location! Lots of space to meet and chatter on dates, meetings, etc. close to the transit, so it was a nice break waiting for the train. Got the recommended iced coffee (forgot the flavor) but it wasn't anything to write home about. Asked to ensure that they provided a bit more flavor for sweetness, and I don't know that I remember experiencing much flavor at all.

Yelp
Favorite coffee shop! My go-to spot for reading or remote work. Menu and drinks regularly change and you can't go wrong with any of the options. Love the music playing overhead too! Only complaint is that it's hard to find seating because it's SO busy - it's a popular spot.

Yelp
Met a colleague for coffee yesterday at this cute place - about a 15 minute UBER ride from Baltimore Penn Station. Very friendly baristas and even though we both arrived at 3pm when unfortunately we didn't realize they were closing, we were able to get coffee and sit in this cozy area on the side of the cafe with small wooden tables and sunlight streaming in through the windows. A lovely place to have a meeting and get some good coffee. I also had a cup (which was the size of a large bowl) of their ribbolata white bean soup which was good and hearty - I just didn't have enough time to finish it! They had pastries and breakfast sandwiches and other items as well. We felt bad overstaying past closing time and left at 3:45pm, the last customers to close out their day. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Came here for a private dinner meeting. What a rustic and charming space. They set up some appetizers by the open kitchen and the dining area was set perfectly We shared a set menu of salad, roasted chicken and veggies and the most delicious apple crumble for dessert. Rockfish was another dish but too salty and dry for my taste. There was one server for our group of 10 and she was friendly and responsive.

Yelp
The perfect neighborhood spot for a coffee + reading date! The coffee and drinks are amazing, and I love that the menu features seasonal delights! Their biscuit breakfast sandwich is so good, but this time we opted for some healthier options and got the yogurt bowl (with delicious granola, spiced apples and wildflower honey) and the oatmilk latte with honey. It's absolutely gorgeous inside, with stone walls and wood tables, it's giving rustic chic. The "sister" cafe to beloved Woodberry Tavern, the service is great and it is the perfect place to support local. A Baltimore fav for sure!!!

Yelp
(real rating 3.5 stars) I've come past this place a bunch of times but I had no idea it was a coffee spot. It came recommended to me by a classmate of mine who is local to the area. - there is a parking lot that is packed but there's tons of spots and I was able to snag one. Matcha latte 3/5 (ratio of matcha powder to milk was off; needs more powder) chai latte 3.5/5 (ratio of chai powder to milk was better, but still needs more powder) sour cream coffee cake muffin 5/5 (highly recommend!!) - got this one via suggestion by the barista and he was so right!

Yelp
Another coffee shop gem. Cozy, warm, and welcoming vibes with the kindest staff ever. The staff cared about name pronunciation and many greeted me as I entered and exited the place. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for long and it was packed at noon on a weekday, but I tried their Tiramisu Cold Brew and the Potato Paneer sandwich. I had to try an Indianized sandwich. I must say, it was quite delicious. The bread was freshly made; you could tell all the ingredients were high quality and fresh. I loved the addition of the pickled onions and spicy (not spicy actually) mayo. It complimented the cilantro chutney and spiced potatoes/paneer perfectly. I honestly had low expectations for this sandwich, but I'm quite impressed. I would get this sandwich again for sure. Delicious and filling. For me, it wasn't spicy at all, but it had good "curry" flavors that you find in Indian food. I'd come just for the sandwich. It makes me curious how their other sandwiches taste. Per the cashier's recommendation, I tried the popular Tiramisu Cold Brew. I liked it more when the sweetened cold foam melted and mixed more with the coffee. I didn't use my brain and totally forgot I'm not much a fan of drinks like that. I regret my coffee decision as I forgot I wanted the Cardamom Mocha Latte, but that's for next time! It was a decent drink. The real trick is to come catch a seat when it's not busy which seems rare. This place seems super popular and hard to grab a spot. I definitely see myself coming back to do some work or with a group of friends!

Yelp
It was a little expensive for the amount of food we got, but the coffee beverages were terrific. You can tell they care about serving authentic coffee that's not masked behind too much sugary syrup. And the venue is pretty magical with loads of light in an old authentic Baltimore building. It was a great family stop in the early morning before heading to a soccer game for my son at the Coppermine fields. I'd really like to linger there at some point with just my husband and me.

Yelp
Artifact is a cozy gem nestled in Baltimore, MD, offering a delightful escape for coffee enthusiasts. From the first sip, you'll be enchanted by their rich, aromatic brews crafted with precision. The inviting ambiance and friendly staff make it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. Don't miss out on their delectable pastries either! A must-visit for any coffee lover in the area.

Yelp
My fiancée and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. I personally haven't been back here in a very long time. It was nice to be back in this space. We ordered two pour overs 1 decaf, egg and cheddar on a biscuit, gf chicken salad sandwich and a beef stew. The food was good and delightful. The waitress working the floor was very attentive and cleared plates to create more space which we appreciated. We enjoyed our time here and I look forward to coming back.

Yelp
Service and food! I always love stepping into Artifact; it's such a relaxing and inviting experience. The server was also very attentive and interactive helping me decide what to get.

Yelp
It's always nice to stop by Artifact coffee. A cafe located in Hampden, Artifact coffee serves delectable gourmet coffee as well as pastries and food. The interior is characterized by stone walls with a loft style design giving it that artisanal feel. There are chairs and tables throughout the shop and parking is plenty in the parking lot. Their pastries aren't bad either. I've always enjoyed their cookies. One of my go-to is their Lavender Latte. Perfectly blended with the right amount of lavender and sugar. I also tried their Basil-mint creamy espresso which was also great. You order at the cashier area and they bring out your drinks to you. Service was friendly and fast, so props to the staff. It may be out of way if you're in the heart of the city, but it is definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Hampden!

Yelp
I miss this place soooooo much !!! Best food , coffee and staff ever!!! This place was the best coffee shop across the board barring none.

Yagoda J.

Yelp
Do not come here is you are a student looking for a coffee shop to study at. I'm not from MD so I was excited to find this coffee shop - looked cute and I was excited to study here! They have signs that forbid students from using tables and tell them to use another section. That's cool and all but the tables assigned to people who want to study are taken by people who are not. It's a waste of time - don't come here is you're a student
google avatar

Yelp
I got the smoked Turkey sandwich and iced lattes. The mocha iced latte was not good, it was powdery and grainy. Unpleasant to drink. The caramel latte did not have much caramel flavor and was pretty bitter. The sandwich is overpriced but good tasting. The bread was so thin and fell apart easily and only about half the sandwich had cheese on it. Service was good. Lots of seating options.
google avatar

Qadira W.

Yelp
Great coffee drinks. We went at 11a on a Sat and it was suuuuuuper packed. Don't expect to get a table on Saturday morning unless you get there right around the time that they open. But, the ambience was really nice; I love a small, quaint neighborhood coffee shop.

Yelp
Ecclectic food options in a gorgeous space. Good service, fast moving despite being the busy time of day. . Reasonably priced, experienced barista, thoughtful presentation.

Yelp
Very cute inside and so many fun drinks! Service was wonderful. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Yelp
If you're in the Clipper Mill /Hampden area and craving a good coffee and solid breakfast & lunch food this is the place to go! Artifact has a really cool / hipster vibe inside. The service is always really quick and the servers are really helpful and attentive. This is feel good food. Whether you're in the mood for hearty sausage and gravy for breakfast or a solid chicken salad sandwich for lunch Artifact hits the spot every time. The coffee and house made iced teas are absolutely delicious. Will continue to dine here for years to come..and that's a Arti(FACT)

Yelp
Good coffee, friendly service, great sandwich, and great interior. I had a pour over coffee and the killer ham sandwich

Yelp
This coffee shop has a great vibe! I love the brick decor, the servers seemed really nice, and the food looked good! I didn't buy any food or drinks here but I came here to sit and do some work on a Saturday and I found it a great place to work. There is some music playing and a good amount of people were there, but I didn't find it to be too loud or overwhelming. It was clean with plenty of free seating, and charging options at the large wooden table for laptops or phones. There is plenty of parking, both on the street and in their parking lot. The bathrooms were clean too. I can't wait to go back, and I definitely recommend you check them out!

Jaxon S.

Yelp
I ate here on a Sunday morning with my girlfriend. I ordered the Ham Jam sandwich on a biscuit and could not have been more disappointed. The biscuits fall apart like they're made of sand. I can't believe I paid $13 for a sandwich that doesn't taste good! I will never return. Giving two stars instead of one because the coffee was yummy, and the customer service was great. I'm really just upset because I came here for a sandwich and the sandwich was horrible.
google avatar

Chel M.

Yelp
Usually a great spot... but today I got lunch to go and my bread was moldy!! Very disappointed...

Yelp
The location of Artifact Coffee is cute and has a parking lot which is nice. My friend and I came on the earlier side on a Sunday morning and it was already buzzing. We both ordered lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and shared a pastry. Staff at the counter were really nice and we ordered quickly. They give you a number for your table and bring the food out to you. Food was really good- I loved the homemade biscuits! I feel like when you envision a biscuit breakfast sandwich you imagine smaller biscuits, but these biscuits were big! The staff was very attentive but kind of confusing. We had someone come to our table like 3 times to ask if we had received all our food while we still had a number on our table. Once, he tried to take it even though we were still waiting on food. It just came off as a little unorganized. Also, as soon as we were done eating a certain item the plate would be bussed away or we would be asked if we were finished even if we were still working on things. It made us feel a little rushed. Overall though, the food and atmosphere is great and I'll return.

Katrina V.

Yelp
Love it here! We come pretty often but hadn't been all summer so we thought we'd stop by. It was sad to see how bare the menu was. We stopped by at breakfast time and there wasn't even an egg, meat & toast dish (which there used to be). There's also no more waiters, you order your food at the counter then they bring it to you. Not a deal breaker but just interesting they decided to go that route. Excellent chai latte! I always loved the interior and that draws us back!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
This is a somewhat hard to locate coffee shop in Baltimore. They have a nice outdoor area with some seating and the interior also has seating with music playing in the background. They keep it cool in the shop so be warned. I ordered my usual latte and a blueberry scone. The scone was very tasty but could have benefited from being warmed up. The latte was good. The temperature was good and the milk was textured well with some basic latte art drawn. The flavor was slightly bitter so I ended up adding a little sugar (which I hardly ever do). Overall, I like the vibe in the shop. It is a good atmosphere and they do offer some small bites. Pretty good place if you are in the area.
google avatar

Zee A.

Yelp
First off Larry at the register was amazing! When my brother in law walked in with a Starbucks chai he wasn't offended. He simply made him a fresh brewed, albeit bagged chai latte (on the house) and let his his tastebuds decide. Tastebuds chose unanimously for Artifact's bag made. I'd like for Larry to also make my latte as the girl that made it delivered it lukewarm. In my opinion coffee should be hot unless otherwise noted.
google avatar

Sydney S.

Yelp
the atmosphere here is really nice for studying, I went with my friend to prep for finals and got so much of my work done. I got a caramel apple latte which only tasted like caramel if I got some from the outside of the mug but was pretty good and a peppermint latte which was great I just wish they were open later
google avatar

Tiye J.

Yelp
Food was wonderful, space is incredible! Had a good allergy and they worked diligently to honor them.

Yelp
I love love love this place. As a habitual coffee drinker, this place is amazing. The parking lot stays full for a reason. There are many reasons Artifact is in my rotation of favorite coffee shops in Baltimore. The parking lot is huge. Sometimes, I have to park at the end and walk, which doesn't bother me but may be an issue for some. The staff is super friendly. When you come in, I recommend getting there early as the place is pretty cozy. Once you grab your table, you can head to the front and the staff will take your order from there. The selection is great. They also offer alcoholic options too which for me is awesome. The menu is not extensive, but the food is very very tasty. They also offer pretty healthy options which in my opinion gives them major brownie points. The only downside is the signal. I love to work from coffee shops from time to time just to have a change of scenery. Unfortunately, I am unable to do that here because I have no service. So if your not going to work, it's a great place for a good cup of coffee or tea and a healthy meal.

Yelp
A bit off the beaten path and located in Union mill/Woodbury neighborhood. Rustic interior with some outside seating. Saturday afternoon around 3 they were quiet but surprisingly they picked up as closing time approached at 4. Upbeat music was piping from the speakers. Oat Mocha with Jinji chocolate was tasty. Wasn't sure what to try but once I saw Mushroom Reuben....marinated mushrooms, sweet potatoes and Kimchi tangy take it over the top. A Veggie take on the classic that delivers! Also, got the Margherita Scone which was also unique , savory with a hint of tomato . Service was friendly & my numerous questions were answered with patience. In addition to the baked goods, saw a good variety of breakfast/lunch sandwiches (out of the ordinary veggie sammies), soups and salads. They are connected to the Woodberry Kitchen and similarly source from local Growers/Producers which is a nice touch.

Yelp
Stopped by for breakfast this morning. Cool ambiance with a good amount of seating, but I thought that the "line" was a little confusing as to where to queue up to place your order. Appreciated the water station where you could get either flat or sparkling water. Breakfast sandwich was awesome.
