Artifice Ales & Mead

We were in town overnight and decided to try here for it's drinks. The cocktail I had was ok, but the Metal Mocha my husband ordered was amazing and I don't even like beer. The food looked great but I was hoping for more red sauce on my Margherita flatbread. The atmosphere was very cozy with the holiday decorations and fireplace! You should definitely stop in if in the area.

Stopped in after a tournament at spookynook (13 mins away). Decor was cozy and the staff was friendly. Food - egg rolls, Brussel sprouts and breakfast burger. Egg rolls weren't terrible, had a nice flavor and mixed well with the dipping sauce. I wouldnt order again but its still good. Brussel sprouts were AMAZING!! Crispy and the flavorful ! The glaze had me googling how to make it. Burger... if I had a bigger stomach I would have eaten 2. It was like a smash burger had a baby with a breakfast burger and this is the result. So good. If I lived closer it would be hard to not continously order this. Stop in and try it!

Tried this for the first time today and we both had their chicken sandwich special, not to mention the egg rolls, the chef should be incredibly proud of themselves because there’s none better in town!, Every single ingredient was as good, if not better cared for than the last, Homemade Kimchi, who does that around Here? No one! Trust me, I’m a very well known local chef, This food comes from a very talented chefs Heart!, The staff was as spectacular as the food, 10/10 all the way!!!! Can’t wait to return, I will be telling everyone about this special food Destination!

Had a couple beers and mead. Meads were very good, beers were good. Food was absolutely delicious (there's a but). Had the nachos, chicken con-tenders, and smash burger. I can not stress how delicious the food was. BUT, prices are a bit steep. Three small chicken tenders were $15.50. They were very tender and juicy as advertised but that was a bit salty for what you get.

The mead is good but the food never quite hits. The ingredients are there but it'll be overcooked (crispy chicken) or with far less toppings than it should for the price (flatbread). It's a shame, I want to love it but more attention needs to be given to food.

Beautiful brewery and great beer. Tried a flight and had the egg rolls and mac and cheese all were great. They also had an awesome soda flight! The layout has all types of seating and there is a large bar top area as well.

Artifice is a really cool looking place and not too loud or crowded. Service was good and the bartender was nice. The meads were decent but a bit expensive, especially considering the ABV. Also it'd be nice if they had meads canned to go. There were only 2 carbonated meads in the fridge. We tried every mead on tap and from all the meads I've had in the past, these tasted like a watered down version. Take a Charm City Meadworks mead and pour half water and it'll be about the same. Lighter drinks are great if you want hanging out and drinking longer. I'm more of a slow sip drinker, so it wasn't as enjoyable or as strong of a flavor as I was expecting.

While visiting the area, this place was recommended by our hotel's front desk employee. We were very impressed with their craft beer & mead selections and sampled a few. They were very good! I like mead, personally, and their blueberry mead was the best mead I've ever had. Our dinner, too, was very good. The flatbread was impressive and my chicken sandwich was so flavorful! We come to this area once a year, and will def return....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
