The 38 Best Restaurants in Cleveland, Ohio | Eater

"In 2024, a year filled with too many restaurant closures to count, Artis was a bright spot. This buzzy, glam Lakewood bistro is helmed by chef-owner Andrew Mansour, who has a knack for weaving globetrotting flavors into a cohesive experience. Plates run from small to big, with flavorful gems like kimchi fried rice, hummus topped with Moroccan-spiced lamb, lobster bisque soup dumplings, and grilled Korean-style short ribs with ssam sauce. Crafty cocktails, great desserts, and a popular weekend brunch further boost this bistro’s rep. Must-try dish: With so much going on, it’s easy to miss that Artis is secretly an amazing steakhouse, with half a dozen chops expertly grilled, sliced, and presented for sharing." - Douglas Trattner

My partner and I walked over from our house and had an absolutely incredible experience at Artis. The service was top notch. Our server Mary was amazing, so warm and attentive. The chef and owner even came by to check in, which was such a thoughtful touch. The cocktails were to die for, especially the tequila drink with the mango foam on top. Truly the best cocktail I’ve ever had. We lived in Portland, Maine for a while, which is arguably one of the most underrated small food cities in the country, and the bold flavors and creativity at Artis instantly brought us back. This place is a gem. Easily the best food in Lakewood. Highly recommend.

What an amazing experience! Chef Andrew Mansour took us through a wonderful culinary experience. We started with the labne and olive oil which came with freshly baked flat bread. It was delicious and the right amount of tangy. We then tried the lamb hummus which was an absolute delight. We finished off with the harissa chicken and the scallops with duck pastrami. Both were absolutely delicious. Artis is a must try.

I finally got to visit Artis last night for an early dinner with a friend. I was pleased to discover it has a convenient parking lot beside the building. Upon entering, we were greeted by two well, dressed hosts very professionally. And seated without delay. Our server was exceptional, although she did not give us her name. Early on in our arrival, we asked to switch tables because the air conditioning was near us and we immediately were relocated. No questions asked, and we were very comfortable. The menu has fabulous options we had delicious espresso martinis followed by delicious dirty martinis. We ordered some shareables from various parts of the food menu, including Splitting a steak and theletting us have our half of that steak cooked two different temperatures. Absolutely every bit of the food was divine, extra special, and unique, and we were over the moon! Lots of oohs and ahhs! The decor is cute comfortable and lovely! We will be back super soon and frequently! Absolutely would give more stars if I could!

The cocktails are insane, their bartender really knows what he’s doing. The executive chef is also creating really delicious dishes. We went for a happy hour and enjoyed it so much we got tickets to the Mardi Gras party. They did a great job with the party cocktails and food, accompanied by a fantastic band! Highly recommend visiting!

Very underwhelmed. Had super high hopes because we've read so many great reviews and articles about this place. We went at opening on a Friday afternoon for happy hour. We were the only people there and were seated immediately. I got a French 75 and my husband ordered an old fashioned each for $8. I was happy with my drink but my husband thought that this kind of upscale place should know how to make a cocktail correctly and his old fashioned had the wrong kind of ice and was unbalanced. The lamb hummus wrap had decent flavor but was soooooo skimpy. It barely had any lamb or hummus...it was almost funny. Steak fries mansour are just potatoes in gravy but they were very good. Bar steak was overcooked.

Came here for dinner and everything was above expectations! Very well thought out, shareable dishes, but their beet dish was by far our favorite. Lovely staff, lovely venue, check it out and treat yourself if you haven’t!

This was such an awesome place. The food was absolutely phenomenal and quick to be served. The service is amazing, and they made my partner and I feel that we were the only people in the restaurant. Everything was shareable and a perfect portion for 2 people. The atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome, but the restaurant is just a little small, and this place deserves a bigger space. The decor, lighting, and furniture are all perfectly tied into the theme of the restaurant. Made me feel like I was in Paris! Absolutely will be coming back.

Food: excellent taste and combinations, my group shared the beet salad which was a smaller portion with sweet golden beets. We also shared the Green Tehina Hunmus which was light and creamy, and served with delicious bread, and we were given extra upon request. My partner had the Royal with Cheese which was delicious and I would come visit again just to eat that. I had the Cured Salmon Toast which was a good portion and well executed. My sister had the Apple Bomb Waffle, which was light and crispy compared to a more chewy standard waffle. My mom had the breakfast plate with a side of hollandaise and a cappuccino. The hollandaise was well done and the cappuccino was more bitter than sweet. My sisters partner had the biscuits and gravy, of which I tried a very buttery and fluffy biscuit. Service: excellent. We purposefully came to see Elise and she did an amazing job serving our table despite issues with the power and a very busy restauraunt. Environment: we were seated in the backroom with blue walls. There were approximately 18 people which contributed to the high noise volume and significantly decreased air quality, which was in the 2000s, well above a desired <1000 range. I'd recommend drafting the back room or getting more air purifiers for the space and seating expectancy. The room was also dark, due to the limited overhead lighting and one floor lamp in the corner. I'd recommend increasing natural and warm lighting to increase accessibility for your space. Other positive notes include the lighting we viewed in the front room, and the notable 2 gender neutral restrooms! Happy to see it.
