Artisan's Restaurant

Looking for a restaurant with a menu that would offer something for every member of my family. This was a perfect selection. My son was able to order a pizza while I was able to get a steak and my husband enjoyed his pork chops. The cocktail was amazing and dessert was off the charts. Our server was magnificent. I will be returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My mind is blown, delicious food and drinks. Got the zucchini blossoms, grilled octopus, lobster ravioli, and a jalapeño margarita. Amazing!!! My son loved his food, said it’s the best in the area.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Large, clean restaurant with inviting feel. Food was good and unique. I really enjoyed the dishes and the wine. Ordered a bottle of PN from Willamette Valley I haven't seen on any menu in a while. Really enjoyed it. Great spot to bring the family. Thanks for the good time.

I hosted my bridal shower here, and I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! The private room was absolutely beautiful — elegant, cozy, and perfect for celebrating such a special day. The staff was amazing from start to finish, and they created the most stunning dessert table that completely exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the customer service was top-notch, and Christie was phenomenal throughout the entire planning process — attentive, organized, and so kind. Everything came together seamlessly, and my event was an absolute success. Highly recommend!

Great local spot! Delicious food, staff is very friendly. Nice spot with dark chic vibe, modern and clean. Food was very good, had the rice balls, chicken parm, and filet mignon. All was good, definitely will be back.

Service was not good at all. The waitress was never around. We had to always ask for her. Garlic shrimp was not Garlic shrimp. Had more red sauce then garlic. It was soupy. It took a long time to be served between appetizers and dinner. Not pleased at all.

My experience at the restaurant was horrific. Should have moved on to the next place when we booked our reservation we were told that there is a service charge for parties of more than 10. Our server kept throwing out of he's new there as if it was an excuse for his incompetence and lack of service.. We were forced to give a 20% tip due to the size of our party 9 people .The server deserved 5% at best and that would have been kind. He spent more time hiding in the back than they did on the floor. When we ordered additional drinks it would take 20 minutes before they arrive at our table even something as simple as a soda. When our food arrived one person in our party asked for ketchup salt and pepper. 20 minutes later nothing. Had to approach the server while he was entering in another order to ask him where it was he continued to enter in the order 10 minutes later he finally brought it to the table. When we couldn't find the server to order more drinks we asked another employee his response was can't help you with that . You need to ask your server and did nothing to try to procure our server for us. Two different pasta dishes one was grossly undercooked the other was grossly overcooked. I would never return to this restaurant I would never recommend it to anybody

Little gem in by the side of the road. Lots of parking, great food, gluten free options and a bar. They make their own beer as well and it's pretty good. Usually I can't have beer (gluten) but I tried a little and it was great. Other reasons to come here - the restaurant is very specious, clean and has a nice vibe. The food was great - 5 stars on taste and presentation. The prices were average, which is ok. Service was a bit slow but everyone was nice so I can't complain. It is located next to a natural reserve so its a good spot to visit after a hike or for a even for business meeting (based on the vibe). The place is out of my way, but I may come back to host an event or if I am in the area.

Nice spot, went here for lunch the other day. Got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. Good service here as well, I'd come back to try the beer

We love this place. We have come here for years and it never disappoints. The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere is fantastic. The cocktails are always changing and very tasty. The food is fantastic. Come in for a cocktail or a wonderful meal you can't go wrong!!!

nice atmosphere sat at a really nice table I have celiac disease I ordered from the gluten free menu which said there would be no glaze on the steak and the potatoes would be substituted with roasted when I got my plate of food nothing was different. I asked the waiter if it was gluten free item with that he grabbed the plate and went back to the kitchen and came back and said the chef said there was no flour. So I trusted and the next morning I was so sick! restaurants should educate the chefs about food allergies.......

We were the only table in the restaurant. Service was nonexistent. Our server, Destinee, barely acknowledged us. Our bourbon was served with something floating in it, and she was nowhere to be found, so we had to flag down another server just to get a clean one. I ordered a mojito with my meal that took forever to come out. When it did, it had no mint, just lime. Again, no server in sight to fix it. Destinee didn't check on us once the entire time. When we were done, we had to approach her just to ask for the check, and she still took her time bringing it. Then she vanished again, and we had to flag down a different server just to pay. Completely inattentive, and careless service. I can't imagine what it's like on a busy night. Drinks and service aside, food was amazing.

Bartender had no idea what the Happy Hour drink specials were or the prices. We looked them up online for them. We both ordered martinis and the glasses were very far from full. When a second bartender came in, they chatted with each other more than waited on customers. We were not the only people to notice, we heard other people making comments about it also. But they were both very nice, just uninspired. However the hummus platter was very good.

Food was fantastic. We had the filet mignon, homemade veal ravioli, gnocchi bolognese - all were top notch. Service was very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

We tried this place last year and weren't impressed. I decided to give it a second try and I'm glad I did. The spicy meatballs were fantastic. The Greek salad was all iceberg lettuce and had a ton of dressing on it which was great, but it started tasting sour the more I ate it so I didn't finish it. Nothing against the dressing, that was just my personal taste buds. Highly recommend the meatballs and their cocktails.

Very nice ambiance on the restaurant part, rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. The food menu could be a little more extended but was good enough for a quick bite. We had some classic burgers that were pretty good. Wine bottle list was pretty good but the options by glass were limited. Service was pretty good and fast. Dessert options were pretty good too

Underwhelming is the word that comes to mind for our dining experience at Artisans. Drawn in by google photos we stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. We arrived around 3pm to only have lunch options on our menu. Disappointed we asked for dinner menu only to be told lunch was all they were serving at the moment. We opted for a pizza, split a sandwich and Bavarian pretzel. The pretzel was more of a large Philly pretzel rather than the soft pillowy Bavarian pretzels I'm used to and overcooked and dry. The chicken sandwich was "eh" and the pizza was just okay. Service was slow despite the empty dining area. Unlikely to return and wouldn't recommend. The place was clean though even though remodeling was going on.

Went there for lunch.1pm seated in the dining room area. Waiter promptly came over and took our drink water, at least ten minutes to get four soft drinks. He dining room was not crowded at all. The main thing then took our food order.And we did not see our 4 burgers til 25 min later. At no time, did he come back and ask if he wanted a refill. Food finally came out and it was good, even though I ordered my burger medium, it was very rare, but I had no problem eating it. Never saw our way to again until it was time for the check. Two of us sat there with empty glasses from half way through our meal. The atmosphere was very nice.Hopefully it was a bad day because I would like to go back again but not wait twenty five minutes for a burger.

Third trip to Artisans! Third time they up charged me at the bar!!!3 drinks equated to 4. Third time, just sayin!

Left a review almost 2 months ago and never got a response from ownership. Will never return.

Excellent Resturant went there today. Made a reservation for eight of us due to mother-in-law passing away. Just wanted a nice small family gathering. They put us off away from everyone our waitress. Destinee was attentive knew her menu excellent service. She had other tables as well. Had their short ribs fantastic. The meat just melted very clean inside Easy to get to. The chairs were very comfortable. I give this a 10 star rating highly recommend.

We were in town visiting relatives and made reservations here for dinner. It was lovely. Gwen our waitress was personable and helpful. The cocktails were delicious and half- price because it was Monday. Pierogis and burrata for appetizers were both delicious. All six of us enjoyed our meals. We will return.

I had the repast here for both of my in-laws and it was well put together. We went for dinner tonight (NYE) and were seated right away. Maybe 1/2 full which surprised me. Until I saw the prices. This is not NY or Hoboken. Pricing is higher than Charlie's of Bayhead where at least they can pull it off. $69 for a filet is nuts for this type of restaurant. And then they cover it in gravy! Again, surprised. Filet was done perfectly otherwise. Chicken parm had a great flavor but chicken was very tough. Hard to chew. Caesar salad was very good as was the crab cake so a mixed bag. The final straw for me was an automatic gratuity on a check for 2 people. I'm not even sure that's legal and while I always tip well I don't like finding out at the end. I would expect it for 8 or more but not 2. Long story short, too many good restaurants in the area to keep this one in the rotation. We won't be back.

We used Artisan's for a small family gathering after a memorial service at the Kedz funeral home, which was VERY conveniently located next door practically. We got our own area to sit, the food selection they gave us was good, the food was good, and the service very good. Very satisfied and would use them again.

We had a wonderful experience having my baby shower in Artisan's event space. The space was really nicely decorated and cozy. We did buffet style lunch, and everything was good: the penne vodka, the salmon, the Caesar salad. we appreciated that they sourced a cake for us, which was delicious, as well as the other desserts of cheesecake and chocolate mousse. Evan was our main waiter and he was very communicative and provided wonderful service - he even put up a partition to make sure no one would walk through and disturb the party. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to use their event space!

Food ok. Service terrible. Waiter never checked on us once dinner was served. Won't be back

I booked Artisans , sight unseen, from Michigan. I was hosting a first ever "cousins reunion". Christy was very helpful setting up the menu, making suggestions,answering questions. We had about 20 people from all over the US and we had a great time. Laura took great care of us , the food was excellent. We loved the chicken park and the sirloin! The Mediterranean dips appetizer was great as where the Swedish meatballs and crab stuffed mushrooms !

My friend had her son's first birthday party here and she was treated downright cruel by the owner. She came alone and asked for help bringing stuff in as she had 3 kids with her and the owner refused, replying "I don't care if you have 15 kids we don't have help" after she was told someone would help by the coordinator in a prior meeting. The owner is not nice at all and has pulled some nonsense at a previous party. This man should not be running a restaurant. He's downright mean. To top it off, the waiters and waitresses look like they are walk on eggshells in that place. It's a shame cause the food is very good. If it's just for dinner and you have a dinner date fine, but I would not have a party here, and definitely no kids.

This was one of the very worst meals I've eaten in a long time. Spinach pie was old, overheated, dry, salty and barely filled with any spinach. Just plain nasty. The phyllo was raw, the feta was sparce, the spinach was dry. For some incomprehensible reason, it was served with brown rice; not lemon dill rice or garlicky white rice, but just a glop of brown rice. There were some other things on the plate that looked like vegetables (thank goodness at least for that, something in NJ that wasn't served with a pound of french fries). I could see a carrot in there but the rest of the little bits were unidentifiable by either sight or taste. The place was FREEZING cold. They added in a credit card charge to a bill being paid with cash, so they're crooks to boot.

Nice brew pub located on Hooper Ave. just North of Hwy 37 in Toms River. Early bird dinners along with their happy hour 1/2 price apps. make for a price friendly dining opportunity. Also you cant beat their wine pricing by the glass and especially by the bottle. However, they are a brew pub so their selection of beers is quite nice. I sampled their light ale and liked it a lot. We did a couple of their three course early dinner specials taking desert to go for our treat later. Nice ambience and very efficient and friendly service at the bar made for an enjoyable dining experience. We will return again for sure.

We tried this place a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised not just at the food but at the ambiance. This restaurant was bustling on a weekday night and everybody seemed overjoyed at the vibe. Service, wine and food were all a hit. We will definitely be coming back here.

Went to Atisan's for Cinco de Mayo with my wife and friends. Our server was Ian, who was fantastic. His suggestions for apps, guacamole, and street corn were on point. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the service was 1st class. Would recommend this restaurant and ask for Ian. You will not be disappointed.

We went for the first time for a date night this week and had an amazing time! we had the spinach and artichoke dip and it was super cheesy and delicious! Then we did the chicken Marsala and the penne vodka, both were great. When I asked for a dessert menu is when they really kicked things up a notch. They brought over a whole tray of desserts to showcase the options! Seemed much fancier than the prices we paid so I was happy!!

With all the reviews that I have done, I usually will look at the Yelp reviews prior. It's a practice that I adher to due to the accuracy of Yelpers' combined reviews. I do go in with an open mind and of course I am going to rate an establishment based on my personal experience. That having been said, I recently breezed into Artisan's brewery and restaurant due to all the cars in the parking lot. This Italian restaurant was quite busy with large family members seated at tables with 8-10 seats. The bar area was pretty well packed too. The staff was very friendly and I was promptly greeted by Kayla, a server of the same ilk. I ordered a Butternut Squash Bisque and an Avocado & Feta toast and both were excellent. I didn't order an entree. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri 2-6 PM.

Love this place . Indoors is very rustic and I love that it has a seperate bar area in a totally separate room opposite of dining area . The specials are amazing . Homemade sweet potato ravioli was to die for . Staff is all friendly . This place was nice and quiet too for a romantic midweek early dinner . We had the whole place to ourself

My family and I have made a tradition to dine at Artisan's every year on Christmas Eve. I can't imagine spending the holidays anywhere else! You're always guaranteed a great meal and friendly servers. They have special holiday menus and usually have some fun holiday drinks! Our waiter said they didn't have any drink specials this year which was sad, hope they bring them back. They were still able to make me the sugar cookie martini I order each year. Overall this is an excellent staple in TR and I highly recommend for any events, holidays, or just an everyday dinner!

Had a party of 9, accomodated us with no problem. All apps & entrees were very good!! Disapointed that for a brew pub they only had 4 choices and i sampled them all,.not a fan of any, but the food made up for it. Server Tom was great and kept the food coming and glasses filled. Not cheap, but good size portions!! .

The food is fabulous here. I thoroughly enjoyed the truffle pasta dish! My wife commented that the salmon was perfect. Our server was attentive and so helpful. The ambiance was very cool - a lighted bar on the one side and a dining room on the other side.

Our food was delicious and hot! Our grandchildren joined us for dinner and were absolutely perfect due to our waitress. It was a bit loud at times but it seemed everyone was having a great time. Joy our waitress was a joy!!!

Paul the bartender is one of the best bartenders/servers that my husband and I have experienced our dining experience with. He is always on top of things to make sure we are comfortable. I would highly recommend sitting in Paul's section because you will have a great experience

My server Kelly was wonderful!!! She's new to the establishment and was so sweet and very helpful. She's definitely a keeper!

Love this place! Pleasant atmosphere and hostess. Food is delicious! Service is attentive and pleasant. Also offers a variety of gluten free dishes which actually taste great. My husband has Celiac disease and has always enjoyed his food here with no negative reaction.

Let me start by saying the decor is very nice. We ordered a few burgers which were average at best. Calamari was just ok and definitely not worth the price tag. Neapolitan Pizza was tasteless. I've had better frozen pizza. My granddaughter dropped one of her mini sliders and when we asked for a replacement, they said they had to charge for it. Way overpriced menu for the quality of the food. Definitely WILL NOT be back. Very disappointing.

Absolutely amazing!!! We had my 40th Birthday Dinner party there and everything was perfection from the food to the desserts as well as the service. A hugeThank you to Christina and Laura you lovely ladies did an amazing Job and thank you to Christy for helping with the planning.

If you want an honest assessment of an establishment, read the bad reviews. Which I did and you can lump into several categories: a) we had a party of 20 people and the service was slow b) it's more expensive than McDonalds c) we made unreasonable request and they pushed back d) the vegan/gluten free options weren't up to my herbivore standards. Nothing makes me want to try a place more than self-centered, entitled, sniveling millennials so I decided this was the place for me and I gave it a try. The food was delicious. You can judge just about and restaurant by their Calamari. If it's mushy, run away but their balsamic glazed Calamari was exquisite. Everything else was great. The beer is above average for an establishment that makes it on premise. That's saying a lot because most are not. The majority of brew pubs and restaurants serve sewage, this place knows how to brew beer! Service was top notch and the decor is pleasant. I'll come back, it was a great experience and... the have Fox News playing on one of the screens!!!

Unfortunately I didn't see it til I got to the bottom of my salad. I wanted to vomit. When I said something all I got was a "sorry about that" from the bartender as we were sitting at the bar. Disgusting! Never again and Shame on you. I don't recommend this place at all.

Food was okay but extremely pricy. A chicken salad is $30, a pizza with meatballs is also 30 bucks. Customer service was average horrible experience

Went here with a total of four people for lunch on a Sunday. We sat in the bar area since we wanted casual and to catch up. Aside from a few people being served at the bar there were only two other tables there. The service was beyond slow with simple waters taking more than 15 minutes to make it out. We actually received alcoholic beverages from the bar before water and soda. The food was very inconsistent in quality and took longer to come out than the drinks. We were even served hummus that came with just pita and vegetables but no hummus. We then had to wait another several minutes to have this corrected. An order of veggie quesadilla was pooling in oil and a grilled cheese sandwich was a sloppy mess. A veggie burger came out amazing with great flavor and a turkey BLT was delicious. From a restaurant perspective the place was cleaned and decorated in an Italian theme. The cocktail we received from the bar was well balanced. Despite the server being slow she was very friendly, though not attentive. Pricing in the menu was reasonable. Will probably not be returning.

Always a good time at Artisan's. Paul and Brandon do a great job behind the bar. Love the food! One of our favorite places to go.

I just read a response from Owner " Peter." Sad to say I have to answer but I can assure him I don't need his comments actually calling me a " liar" more or less. More important, I don't appreciate his threat of " unacceptable"...This ADULT does not need any further correspondence from anyone from Artisans but definitely understand the right to post reviews without extreme " questioning of facts! Very poor consideration if paying customers.

Food was excellent service was absolutely atrocious nowhere to be seen or found. I was there for my best friends birthday party on Monday and she left in tears after she got ripped off the owner was an absolute ass and treated her like crap what a great way to spend your birthday I feel so bad for my friends.

The food is good but do not go to a brunch there. We went for Easter and the selection was very poor for $50/ person I usually cook but decided to eat out this year. I was pretty disappointed

I'm sitting here in the restaurant as I type this.. the only positive thing I can say is the salad dressing was good but that is it. Poor choices in wine "claiming" their on special but the bottles were the exact same price on the regular menu. The penne vodka was basically something u would get out of a jar and the carbonara was a pool of milky cream sauce. We would never come back. Food is mediocre at best and that's being kind Ok so to answer the manager.. 1. Never asked to have the bottle of wine removed from my bill, the server graciously removed it on his own. 2. I DID NOT order a another cocktail, I drank water instead of ordering any other alcoholic beverage. 3. I left my server a 30% tip NOT a 20% tip( so if you studied my bill like you stated you would have done the correct math oh and saw there was no cocktail on that bill) because he was excellent and I NEVER complained about service. 4. I did not bash the restaurant I was being 100% honest and DO NOT deserve an attacking response FROM A MANAGER. 5. I finished the salad like I stated above because it was the only thing that was good. 6. And lastly I just called the restaurant to speak with you since you think I can't confront people and left you my name and number so if you have something nasty to say since I was being honest you could do so.

I like the menu for its not just the usual stuff. They have great drink specials. The bolognese is delicious.

They make really good cocktails. I had the cranberry mule. The brussel sprout appetizer was good so was the tuna with ginger sauce and snap peas. Don't drink the tap or seltzer water! Taste completely funky!! Bring a bottle with you!! Josh is a very honest nice bartender.
