I’m a big fan of Artisan Fine Bakery, especially the NW 23rd location, but this Lake Oswego spot didn’t quite live up to the same standard.
The latte was disappointing; the espresso tasted like an over extracted, burnt long shot. Tables were dirty, and when someone finally wiped one down, it was left soaking wet not ideal.
I ordered my favorite raspberry croissant and also tried the fruit tart croissant. The raspberry one was okay, but the fruit tart had a sticky, stale texture that didn’t feel fresh. I go to the NW location often enough to know when something’s off.
That said, the highlight of the visit was definitely the coconut chocolate chip cookie. So good, probably the best thing I got today. I ended up going back for two more before heading out.
The space also felt a bit cluttered and not as welcoming as it could be. Hoping to see some positive changes here because I know what this bakery is capable of.
