Ordered a couple of treats before closing which included the raspberry croissant, the Cherry Bomb and the Pink Lady.
Was surprised the croissant was still crispy, It had a nice dessicated rasberry powder just slightly sprinkled on top and it was tart and lovely on the lips. It had a delicious cream that isn't whip cream, but it was a little runny and oh so good. The croissant was a pretty pink and red throughout and I enjoyed the croissant, but it wasn't noteworthy. Still, I'd like to try that croissant in the morning when it first comes out of the oven to see what the butter notes are like when it's fresh out of the oven to the point that it's just saying ouch.
The Cherry Bomb has a tacky, gelatinous type shell covering what could be described as a german chocolate cake- whipped cream with cherry filling with just a touch of sourness to it. It had what looked like a chocolate cookie base, but it was more of a wafery consistency and it was really nice.
The Pink Lady is a little hard to describe. It's that same tacky gelatinous covering over a very thin layer of I guess is white chocolate dyed to be pink. When I cut into it with my fork I was so confused because I didn't not expect the crunchy layer, so when the fork sunk into the gelatin then broke the chocolate layer, I didn't know what to make of it. Still it's a solid dessert with a little whipped cream, white cake, and lots of tart raspberry jelly inside. There are also tart crunchies on the outside added with precision I imagine by someone yielding a tweezer as they even ly space the tiny, minimal super flavored dragees. This was such an odd dessert. I liked it, but it was a lot of stuff going on.
Nothing really stood out to me as anything I'd come back to try, but I was happy for the experience of these treats. This place is about French finery but with bold flavors and that's not a mix I'm used to. I like it a lot.
