"For a sequel to the funky, bohemian Artist Residence Brighton, the natural choice is the colorful town of Penzance, on England’s South West coast. Artist Residence Cornwall is tucked away in the heart of town, in a beautiful Georgian house, within walking distance of just about everything in town. Each of the artist-designed rooms is completely different in style." - Mark Fedeli

Fabulous Boutique Hotel , my husband and I booked a double room only, direct on Artist Residence website , we were visiting over they Mazey day weekend celebrations for work . we arrived early too early to check in but we was greeted by a lovey lady who took our bags told us what room we had which allowed us to go off and come back later in the day . our room was very nice ,spotlessly clean very comfy bed , large shower room with everything you need shampoo, conditioner, soaps etc . lovely fluffy towels , air con , flat screen tv , tea coffee making facilities , fridge and even a umbrella . Johnathan was very helpfully and all the staff very polite. although we didn't eat in as we were working the food from what we see looked very nice . there isn't any parking onsite but plenty of parking bays and public carparks near . if you get a chance book early and do Mazey day fantastic .

Great location - near the swimming pool and just off the main shopping street. Friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful. They even helped arrange taxis to get us around. There is also a nice restaurant downstairs where we ate several times. ||The rooms are stylishly appointed and the beds were comfortable. Our rooms were somewhat small but that was fine for our short stay.

Beautiful seaside hotel. Everything is arranged for perfect comfort - the bed is incredibly comfortable and top quality bath products. But it’s the stylish interior design that makes it so much more enjoyable, both of the rooms and the common areas. There is a sitting room where you can quietly read or play cards, with a bar for a nightcap. And the breakfast the next morning was sublime. The staff are also very friendly, with lots of local recommendations. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay, Jonathan upgraded us to a beautiful big room that we loved so much we stayed an extra night, both he and Josie made us feel so welcome and took such care of us. The hotel is in a lovely location with some very interesting shops in the same street and the harbour/promenade only a few mins. walk away. We also enjoyed an excellent evening meal there one evening. I also enjoyed the variety of art work on display. We were fortunate to get parking each evening across from the hotel.

Didn't stay here but went for an evening meal with a family group. From start to finish it was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely ambience and decor, and the food was some of the best I've ever had. Delicious scallop starter and then lamb rump: prerfectly cooked and very tasy accompaniments. Completely recommended.

the cottage and restaurant are both outstanding. we loved the quirkiness and mix of old and new. Also loved the little touches of luxury from the snack basket to the bath robes.|The staff were super friendly and attentive and a star was definitely Jonathan who not only did a beautiful job greeting us and took care of all our daily needs, but also acted as a fantastic concierge and made it look like it was his pleasure to do it.|He made our stay outstanding. thanks so much and we will definitely recommend your property!

I came in via the night train, spent one evening, and then took the night train out the following day. I did not have the meals offered by the hotel but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. As a solo traveler from the US, I wanted to explore the town without my bags and the staff was kind enough to watch my bags while I did this even though it was a smaller hotel. The building seems to be a converted townhouse and I did not notice an elevator but the stairs had a solid handrail. The building was very, very clean. The showers were also very nice.||If I went back to the UK, I would stay at this small boutique chain again especially if I went to cities where they have other locations.
