The 18 Best Restaurants in Budapest, Hungary | Eater

"Artizán is a rightfully popular new-wave bakery in Budapest’s city center. You’ll find a range of sourdough breads, pastries, sandwiches, and fruit juices, but keep an eye out for two of their breakfast favorites: the kakaós csiga, a roll flaunting thick layers of chocolate, and the vanilla- and berry-filled cardamom bun. On your way in or out, be sure to check out Hungary’s most famous Art Nouveau building, designed by Ödön Lechner, located just across the street." - Tas Tobias

Artizan Bakery is an absolute gem in Budapest. Everything we tried was so tasty, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their pastries are light, flaky, and packed with flavor, and the sourdough bread is exceptional. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques, which makes a huge difference. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, perfect for breakfast or a quick coffee break. Staff were friendly and efficient, even though the place was busy. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the coffee pairs perfectly with their pastries. Tip: Go early for the best selection, items sell out fast. Try their almond croissant or pistachio pastries, they’re incredible. Expect a short wait during peak hours, but it’s worth it. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Artizan is a must-visit for anyone who loves great bread and pastries in Budapest.

Charming bakery right by the Ministry of Sports. Expect a line, but it moves quickly. Warm, hard-working staff keep things humming. Pastries are stellar. Don’t miss the croissants, baguettes, and the tangy sourdough bread. Worth the wait and a repeat visit. Coffee’s solid, too. Prices are fair.

They’re the true bread superstars. Everything from the bakery is a hit, and the coffee is excellent. But what really stands out are their weekday lunch specials — incredibly tasty, healthy, and hearty. *Chef’s kiss!* Just make sure to come early if you want a seat.

A Wonderful discovery in a fairly quiet side street. All products are wonderful to look at and super tasty! The staff is very friendly and they explained all the different pastry and types of bread to me. The latte was made to perfection! Loved it! I ate there but bought a couple of things to bring back to the apartment.

A got a flat white and these in the picture 🙈. The coffee is good i like it. The staff are so sweet, and this little circle with cranberries is the most delicious thing i have tasted, like a bit crunchy from outside, soft from inside, and the flavors are so good together, recommended.

Welcoming breakfast place for pastries and coffee. We ordered at the counter and they gave us a number for our table. We liked the choices and plan to try other items in the following days. Service is nice and efficient.

We came because it had a high rating. There was a line at the door and the outdoor tables were full. We ordered one cinnamon roll, one chocolate roll, and two cappuccinos. We sat upstairs. The rolls didn’t taste that good. The place is cute, but what we had wasn’t worth the price. I think it’s an overrated spot.
