Where to Find the Best Bagels in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"This Acworth bakery and deli might be known for its generous portions, but Art’s Bagels & More does little more than bagels apart from its selection of lunch sandwiches. But with more than 20 bagel flavors to choose from and 15 spreads available to pair, options are plentiful for even the pickiest customer. Specialty bagels such as super cinnamon-raisin and blueberry glazed are available alongside bialys and N.Y. hard rolls. Keep an eye on their Instagram for limited-time flavors." - Beth McKibben

We had a wonderful experience here! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was excellent. We were particularly impressed by how knowledgeable the staff was regarding allergens; they handled a soy allergy in our party with care and confidence, which put us at ease. The coffee and cappuccino were perfectly crafted, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Every time we’re anywhere near Acworth, Georgia, we make it a point to stop at Arts Bagels—it’s truly one of the best bagel shops in the area! The quality of their food and drinks is unbeatable. My personal favorite is their French toast bagel paired with their delicious vanilla cream cheese, and I always grab a chai tea latte to go—it’s perfection every single time. Even though there’s almost always a line out the door, the staff is incredibly efficient, friendly, and accommodating. They move everyone through quickly while still making you feel taken care of. The atmosphere is welcoming, and you can tell this is a local favorite in Acworth. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful bagels, excellent coffee and tea, and top-notch service in Acworth, GA, Arts Bagels is the place to go. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you won’t regret stopping here!

Google
Family run bagel business that provides consistently awesome bagels. New York / New Jersey style. Very rare to not see a line out the door or at least a few people waiting. They have shortened hours than a regular restaurant (til 2pm?) so they STAY busy! Lots of bagel and cream cheese varieties to choose from, a wide selection of help yourself coffees, and they are always adding more menu options. Weekdays are easiest to get in...but totally worth the wait any time!

Google
This is the best Bagel place in Atlanta. The best Bagels ( Bacon Eggs on a toasted Bagel). They also have excellent coffee. We love this place so much that we order 2 dozens for our church. Highly recommended.

Google
The bagels were super delicious! 🤤 I highly recommend the cheese and jalapeno one with eggs on it. They have some delicious spreads for the bagels too that they make from scratch. Will definitely go back!

Joanne C.

Google
This is the go-to spot for authentic New York style bagels. I had the pleasure of enjoying a plain bagel with cream cheese. The slightly crispy outside with the soft chewy inside was the perfect texture. The chicken salad on an everything bagel was delicious. It is served with a pickle spear. There are a plethora of bagel varieties and cream cheese flavors to choose from.

Google
Always the BEST Bagels! We ordered a slew of bagels for my son‘s wedding and it was so wonderful to have a variety of bagels and variety of cream cheese options the next morning for our guests at our Vrbo! Thank you, Jim for all you do to make this place phenomenal!!!

Ian S.

Yelp
Awesome food! I absolutely love this place. Note to owner: You need to have employees only working the register and employees only making food. Having your employees work the register take orders and preparing the order all by themselves is absolutely ridiculous.
google avatar

Yelp
Best bagel selection Great service all the time Been a long time customer since probably 2010 or some time around there Once you go once you will never going Gooooood coffee
google avatar

Rand E.

Yelp
I'm talkin bout the best sandwich and coffee place in the city. If you're headed up Cobb Pkwy towards Ackworth don't miss this spot. Several flavored coffees and excellent bagels. Well run place with lines to the door but the line moves fast. I recommend you drop in and guz some fresh brew and eat a super cinnamon bagel. Chill place to eat and drank
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
Really good breakfast spot ... Asiago roll egg cheese and bacon def good .. will go back one day
google avatar

Ava G.

Yelp
SO FRESH! An Acworth local showed me this spot that he'd been frequenting for years. There is long lines out the door but it moves pretty fast. The bagels are freshly made daily, and flavors can sell out fast! Jalapeño cheddar and Asiago were both gone by 10am. When someone takes your order, they personally make your order and when they are done they will flag you down to pay. I also tried a Pumpkin Spice bagel to go and it was amazing! I'll definitely be stopping in again next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Giving it 5 stars for the taste alone. Best & freshest bagel sandwiches around. Pretty long lines in the morning but it's worth it.
google avatar

Feng W.

Yelp
Honestly, this place didn't seem much at first. However a LOT of people were hounding towards the door; to the point where there is a whole line outside! Upon entering, you are hit with a variety of scents. From the fresh bagels to the piping hot bacon, this place smells AMAZING! Service was very quick! Seating is quite limited due to how busy it gets in the morning, but once you're able to sit down and dine, everything is amazing. The cream cheese was full of flavor, the bagel is nice and toasty, the egg and bacon is extremely well cooked. An absolute gem in Acworth!
google avatar

Joan A.

Yelp
Best bagels in town and the personnel are very nice and friendly! I would definitely be a repeat customer - lol! Which I am! I tell everyone about their bagels.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
very unfriendly staff. completely ignored me while i waited at the counter to take my order. no one else was in line. two staff members came up to the counter and didn't say a word, just started doing something else. their bagels aren't worth the hype for such poor service
google avatar

Ryan E.

Yelp
Been here a few times over the years, decent bagels in an area that is lacking with diverse food options. Recommended. Lines can get really long from time to time so be prepared!
google avatar

Zack S.

Yelp
If you want a good, authentic bagel, here's the place to get it. Excellent food. They have all kinds of flavors and varieties of bagels and cream cheeses both; when I splurge, I have a chocolate chip bagel with sweet cream icing. Can't beat it! Sandwiches and so on are also excellent. Limited fountain drink options. You'll walk in, wait in line (almost certainly), order your food, and then pay; then you either get seated or wait for the food to come out. Prices are reasonable. You might expect a little wait, as this place is hopping, but it's fantastic. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Wow ! Impressive! We recently moved here from Southern California! I can't believe how fresh the bagels are! Prices are great too! Wow! I have my go to place for fresh bagels for sure and not far from home! Kudos and keep up the great work! No wonder there is a long line in the mornings! Wow!!
google avatar

Zakari D.

Yelp
I've recently moved to Asheville, but lived in Acworth for 16 years. Me and my girlfriend went for a breakfast bagel and the food is still outstanding. Art's never fails to deliver a freshly outstanding bagel, no matter which one you choose. The service is always friendly, you just have to go into in knowing that it's an extremely popular place and they are slammed open-close. They bake the bagels fresh in the back so the quality is unparalleled. I've been eating here for over 10 years, and always recommend it to anyone in the area.
google avatar

LaDreena W.

Yelp
It's close enough to a NY bagel to make this my new spot when I have a craving. I found the strawberry cream cheese a touch too sweet, but both the cinnamon raisin and blueberry bagels were good. I look forward to trying out more flavors.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Great place to grab bagels but they have been struggling over the past couple of months actually getting them made. Normally stop in once a week on the way to work to pick up some for the guys. Either been having to wait or just skipping the place altogether. Was hoping it would get better but it seems to be getting worse. This isn't a supply issue as I'm told it will be 20 minutes (or more). Hope they get their act together, good tasting food when you can get it.
google avatar

Raven Anne G.

Yelp
Was a busy spot on a Sunday morning - line out the door and a lot of full tables, but I knew that was a good sign & I was right! The bagels are delish. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and we got a half dozen and a tub of cream cheese (garlic herb, yum!). Pretty much works like this: wait in line, order, wait for food, pay, grab a seat and eat!
google avatar

Kam K.

Yelp
We have lived in this area for almost 8 years and we had never been to Art's. Our loss. We have been there twice in the last couple of weeks since we discovered it. Service has been great, the bagles and cream cheeses are fantastic. The espresso is one of the best i have had. Overall its 5+ star with us.
google avatar

hannah P.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place for breakfast! I get a super cinnamon bagel with ham egg and cheese! It's a great combo and the bagels are pretty big! My only suggestion would be adding some type of side options to the menu!
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
We love Arts! The line gets insane. But it's worth it! Great, quality bagels. Lots of variety of bagels and cream cheese. The salmon and lox are delicious!!! Another great option is the rosemary olive bagel with the garlic and herb cream cheese.
google avatar

Nathan G.

Yelp
If it's an early morning on Cobb parkway and you find yourself near Mars Hill Road, it would be a sin if you didn't stop into arts bagels. Arts has an assortment of delicious bagels to choose from. You can buy individuals, or you can buy in bulk. The super cinnamon is my personal favorite. If I'm really hungry I'll order the cheddar roll/ toasted, with bacon, egg, and cheese. It's a great way to start the morning, and it hits the spot every time.

Yelp
I grew up in New Jersey and strive for a good bagel... hands down, Art's Bagels is THE BEST BAGEL I have had in the Atlanta area in the 8 years I've lived here. Some of the best bagels I've had in the country! Absolutely worth the trip to Acworth, but just be prepared for a line out the door when you get there. Love they have Taylor Ham a.k.a. Pork Roll on the menu and the pastries are delicious as well! I love Art's so much, that I picked up a catering order for a brunch at my home, the day after my wedding. Many of my guests were also from NJ/NY and were quite impressed! Jim was wonderful to work with and provided a few different options/price ranges... he wound up putting together quite the spread and everything was wonderful! Can't wait for my next visit, which may be sooner than later after writing this review!

Lanique S.

Yelp
The service was great and the place has a nice atmosphere. However, my cinnamon raisin bagels only had 2-3 raisins per begel, and the blueberry bagels are just swirled, but there are no actual blueberries. The kaiser/hard rolls were good (plus the atmosphere, hence the 3 star rating). But the bagels were definitely not reminiscent of a NY bagel. Lender's gives you more raisins than that.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
Coming from NY I had given up on trying to find good bagels until I found Art's. Best in the south!
google avatar

Joe D.

Yelp
I am originally from New Jersey but now live down south so I am always searching for a good bagel shop when I have the chance. Art's will not disappoint you, these bagels are the real deal! Fresh and soft in the middle with a very subtle crunch on the outside. I have not had a bagel this good in many many years. This will be on my if near drive out of the way to go get places. Give them a try and you will love them too!
google avatar

Richard P.

Yelp
The bagels are fresh and the toppings they have is great. Never thought I'd find a bagel shop that is like the ones in New York or Boston. Their service is top notch had to wait a little but they were so busy. The restaurant is like a old New York style bagel shop great and good. Very happy to say we really enjoyed it.
google avatar

Scot E.

Yelp
Nice staff. Good food. I love their bagel with Nova Lox, cream cheese, capers and onion. I always get it on a toasted plain bagel. Soooooo good! Large portion at a nice price. I want to try more of their menu but that bagel with lox is so good I'm finding it hard to order anything else.

Skip C.

Yelp
The bagels here are awesome! I'm originally from NY and worked at a bakery baking bagels as a teen and this is the only place I get my bagels from in the area. The only thing that stinks is the line that forms out the door but that's the testament to how good they are.
google avatar

Rodney C.

Yelp
A true bagel shop in Acworth. Excellent fresh bagels (quite a variety of flavors). They also have excellent sandwiches. This place really draws a crowd, so be prepared to wait.

Philip B.

Yelp
Great job doing bagels for 20 years Go for the everything bagel with cream cheese, and nova lox

Camryn D.

Yelp
This place quickly became my go to spot for in the mornings. I was nervous about ordering a latte because it can be so hit or miss at spots like this. I've now had 3 over the week (hot & iced) & they've all been amazing. The bagels are insanely good, the cream cheeses are good (I do get light cream cheese because they tend to put a lot... I think this is because you pay for it). My boyfriend has had sandwiches, etc & has loved them all. Fair prices we eat & drink for 20$ under always! The wait can get a little long but they move it as quickly as possible & all good things have a wait. You can put an order on online I believe if this is a problem for you. Father to son restaurant I love this place!!!
google avatar

Shirley J.

Yelp
Amazing NY bagels! Best bagels anywhere near this area! You will not be disappointed! My fave is super cinnamon with vanilla cream cheese toasted!
google avatar

Sasha O.

Yelp
I love breakfast bagel sandwiches but haven't had a good one since living in Hilton head. Today I had a really good breakfast bagel sandwich. I got sausage, egg, and cheese on a cheddar cheese bagel - soooo glad I spotted them and stopped. A truly delicious bagel. They toasted the bagel before layering the toppings. Simple and perfect
google avatar

Tammy S.

Yelp
BAGELS, BAGELS AND BAGELS.... Local place for BAGELS. Pretty good and fair price. Nothing fancy or special. Can't really say much about service because you wait in a line to order and pay at the counter. Very popular on Saturday morning. It's BAGELS.
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
Always delicious bagels and friendly workers. Only complaint is that they run out of the really good ones too early in the day. Haha. Their chicken salad is the best!!!
google avatar

Tom P.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town this week, and I didn't know what to do for breakfast. Got there Sunday morning 11am and the line was out the door. I waited. Hot damn if that wasn't the best bagel sandwich (everything bagel, egg, sausage, cheese) I've ever had by far. Wow. Got an extra six bagels to go. Cinnamon sugar bagel is amazing. It's almost always impossible to hear these at home without a scorched mess. Not there one. STOP SEARCHING AND GO EAT HERE. Ps. The pastrami sandwich bagel looked incredibly good.
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
Though wife has been in past, this week marked my first two visits to Art's. I was picking up light breakfast on two days for work events. It was bustling as of 7:15 am, so factor that in. Plenty of bagel choices. They can "fancy them up," but I just got plain, sliced, & then a small tub of butter & another of cream cheese to go. Blueberry, cinnamon-raisin, plain. All were good, but my sweet tooth really liked the "super cinnamon." Fast, friendly, quick service too.
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Best bagels in the area. I typically get a breakfast bagel sandwich, which can be made with Taylor Ham for you Jersey folks. The line moves pretty quick despite the fact that they don't ring you up when you place your order. The staff manages to remain friendly & professional even under the busiest conditions, which it's the case in a lot of places these days.

Mackenzie S.

Yelp
My only complaint is that they don't have a good system. A typical restaurant would have an assembly line. One person at the cashier, someone taking orders, someone on togos, someone on the hot side, and another on the cold side. At Art's there's one person taking your order and then that same person will make all of the bagels for that order and then that same person will check you out whenever they finish. If Art's were to apply an assembly line food would get out faster, the line would move faster, and the people who placed an order over the phone wouldn't have to wait 15 minutes for someone to be available. Amazing bagels but as someone who use to work in the food industry it really bugs me going in on a busy day and seeing everyone running around frantically and having to wait an eternity.

Adam G.

Yelp
Fantastic bagels and a great family spot. Get there early because there will be a line.
google avatar

Mike O.

Yelp
Another Acworth Landmark. The only place I'd wait outside on the sidewalk in cold weather to eat at.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
Yummy! Very good bagels!! I like the coffee options (self-serve & many options for creamer & flavors).

Robert W.

Yelp
Great bagels but to raise your prices by almost 30% in one year is robbery! Definitely above the inflation rate.

Nat T.

Yelp
placed a order over the phone and picked it up and they put cheese and cream cheese on my bagel when i didn't order it that way...? didn't have time to ask them to remake it so just bought an overpriced bagel that i waited forever for that was made wrong and i am not going to eat. this is not even the first time that happened literally every single time i order over the phone they make it completely wrong as if they didn't even look at the gd ticket? also their espresso tastes like gasoline so don't get their coffee it's awful. just don't waste your money here in genera. if ur in a rush and can't make ur own food just go to starbucks. i guess if you do decide to waste ur money here just don't order over the phone?

Gen C.

Yelp
Great tasty bagels, including rosemary olive oil, multi grain and super cinnamon. The line tends to be out the door so dress for the weather .
google avatar

Joni W.

Yelp
These bagels are the real deal. As a transplanted yankee? I dream of and CRAVE these bagels. I don't go in for all of the sandwiches and full breakfast items, but the lox is top of the line, and the bagels and cream cheese that they sell are the absolute BEST AROUND, no contest.

Erin H.

Yelp
Been coming here for 10+ years. Absolutely the BEST bagels in town. Amazing people, delicious food. Great neighborhood gem.
google avatar

Ryan D.

Yelp
We LOVE Art's Bagels! It stays pretty busy so be prepared that the line might extend out of the restaurant, but they do a good job of moving you through the line. The bagels are so fresh with so many flavors of bagel and cream cheese combinations you may never end the possibilities. Allow me to recommend the toasted Wheat everything bagel with turkey sausage, egg, cheese & tomato, it's literally the best!! As far as cream cheese bagels, I got the cinnamon raisin with honey nut cream cheese and it was absolutely perfect!! Definitely grab breakfast here one morning or 100 mornings!!

Jeff C.

Yelp
I've been dining at Art's since he first opened. Always the best and freshest bagel around! Our oldest daughter lives In Manhattan and she says that Art's is as good as it gets! She says that the bagels at Art's is as good as anything she has had at bagel shops In Manhattan. Never a bad experience and always great food! Yeah, the line can sometimes get long, but it's well worth the wait!

Christopher R.

Yelp
Must try in Acworth for Breakfast or lunch. The breakfast is awesome whether you do bagel and cream cheese or a bacon/Egg/cheese or sausage/egg/cheese sandwich. I sometimes forget how good the lunch is, but whenever I eat there I'm happy I did.
google avatar

Kali B.

Yelp
Best place for bagels in Cobb County, their house made cream cheeses are great. The service is good with pleasant staff .
