Google
This is a great place to get Filipino food. Their food is very good high-quality, but you do not have a place to eat except for a narrow table against the front windows. It’s better to just buy take out.

Yong W.

Google
Lechon Kawali here is legit. Super crispy. Deliciously marbled meat with just the right amount of fattiness. With a scoop of rice, half pound was only 12 bucks.

I LOVE Art’s Kitchen! Everyone there was so kind and friendly. The food is AMAZING and makes me miss home. I’m excited that we found an authentic Filipino restaurant in our area. My daughter and I got take out and they gave her an Ube ice cream on the house! I can’t recommend them enough and I can’t wait to go back again!

Google
Why did I wait so long to try this place? I guess because I thought it was another Filipino place I tried a while back, that was good but not great, but just realized it was further west on Huntington. Anyway, stopped for lunch and they have your typical buffet table with Filipino favorites to choose from as a combo or a la carte. I tried a 3 item combo with lechon (crispy pork belly), beef Kare Kare and a chicken dish which I’m not sure what it was other than delicious. They give you a choice of rice only or half rice and half noodles (i think it’s called pancit) It also comes with free soup. All the dishes were delicious and somewhat elevated compared to your stand bys like DJ Bibingkahan or Pinoy Pinay. Even the rice was cooked well. Hard to explain the difference other than the quality of ingredients and care, probably cooked in smaller batches which makes a world of difference. There are a few other sit down restaurants that serve Filipino food but not “fast and ready” like it was here and certainly not at these prices. My whole meal was about $12 and was enough for lunch and dinner. Definitely coming back. My only gripe was they didn’t have goat (my fave) or the traditional sour and savory tamarind soup (also a fave). The corn soup was great, but just had my taste buds set on the tamarind. They change soups daily, so will have to come back often to try their version. Finally my pro tip. If you want lumpia (small egg rolls), call ahead. They said it would be around 20 mins for those, so will have to call ahead for that next time as well.

Google
Great food and friendly staff! This will be my go-to filipino restaurant whenever i’m in the area!!

Google
The only Filipino game in this area and it's goooood 😋. During covid there is no dine in. You order cafeteria style. You can do combo plates or al-a-cart. The combo says to choose rice or pan it, but you can actually ask them to split it. Don't forget to try the halo halo 🍨, lechon 🐖, and the pata 🐷

MR. C.

Google
The best Philippino restaurant in Southern California by far! I've tried other spots and non come close to the quality and taste that they put into their dishes. Staff is super friendly, don't forget to try their halo halo in the summer!

Gravity G.

Google
Extremely good food! Wasn't overly salty, and it tasted like it was made the same day! Teriyaki chicken had good sauce, and they also give you a cup of free sinigang soup. Chicken adobo had a good balance wasn't overly seasoned with soy sauce. Lechon was nice and crispy and not too oily. Stir fried tofu with veggies was good! Wasn't overly cooked so it had a nice crunch and wasn't overly salty. Reminds me of my grandpa's cooking back when he was alive.

Yelp
I drove quite a bit to Art's to try their lechon. The cashier was very friendly, but the lechon was very dry. It was definitely not fresh and the photo attached shows what was inedible. The half of the lechon that was edible was quite appetizing and the skin was delicious. If you're able to get a freshly roasted part filled with fatty goodness, then it'll probably be a four to five star review. Unfortunately, I was not as blessed.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this place and I was excited for delicious food. The employees were so nice, and I hate to make a low star review, but this is my experience. I ordered the tendon a la cart. I was craving something salty and sweet, and I love tendon, so I figured this would be perfect. While I appreciate the intense flavors, and super tender tendon, the juice was almost inedible salty and sweet. It almost tasted like salted candy. I ate it little by little, but I could not eat in one sitting because of how concentrated those flavors were. I'm afraid to say it was close to being inedible. Mixing it with rice helped, but on its own, it was completely overpowering. I also ordered pork adobo. That was not sweet, but same issue with salt. Keep in mind, I'm a "salty" person. So, I love, love, love salt, and It was too much for me. I barely ate 1/2 portion of each and I finished a water bottle to help stay hydrated from the salt, and I was still thirsty. Food seemed fresh and homemade! It would have been perfect if seasoning was better executed.

Yelp
On the real their chicken adobo is bombski!!!! This was my first time. I bought a three item plate but chose to Get chicken adobo for all three items. I love how they strain their chicken adobo of the physical seasoning like peppercorn's and bay leaf. I also loved the fact that the chicken was deboned so you had nothing but chicken and adobo saucy goodness. The service was friendly and informative. I took the gentleman's suggestion and it hit the spot!!! He was a young buck but had them skills to slang that chicken. I will definitely be back because I want to try the crispy pork belly that they sell and the teriyaki chicken looked bomb as well. I didn't get the teriyaki chicken because I wanted more than was available. The chicken adobo that they had when I walked in was basically their last fresh batch of adobo. So I took advantage. It's a small spot so people get it to go unless you're by yourself and really hungry. Even though I only been here once I definitely think it was worthy of recommending it to others. He said they post their daily menu on facebook. They also do catering and have a physical menu for catering in house. I gave them a try I think you should as-well. Peace!
google avatar

Yelp
A great local Filipino family owned restaurant. Dishes are served cafeteria style and really meant for to go orders although there are some bar style seating. Dishes are different every day and they post on their Facebook page each morning what the menu will be. This is good and bad, as they may or may not have your fav dish on a given day but it also makes it a little more special when they do. I've personally eaten here about ten times and love the food and authentic Filipino taste. We've also done the catering which has been great (even once did a day of order and they were able to accommodate). The front cashier / server is super friendly and will help you figure out what to order. Typically I get 2 item order which includes 2 protein options and rice/pancit. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

Yelp
I think for what you got, it was expensive. The taste of food was so, so. I really was unhappy with the taste. I didn't finish my food, which I got "to go." I don't think I'll go back there again, since there are other good Flip restaurants around.
google avatar

Teresa C.

Yelp
I really like coming here because Knud is so nice. He's sweetest whenever I come here.. I love Filipino food. And more people should check out this restaurant.
google avatar

Sheila M.

Yelp
Has it for the first time last week and it didn't disappoint, really good food and the options are a variety of great filipino dishes, recommend!
google avatar

Nick B.

Yelp
Friendly service with very good food. Rotating menu. We had an item combo with adobo and kare kare (which were excellent). Lechon is also very good. Definitely worth stopping by!
google avatar

Ace B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and very friendly employees, food was great , not like mom's cooking but really damn close to it, I was a little disappointed that they didn't have pork sinigang but the food that I did order did not disappoint.Definitely coming back
google avatar

Dean D.

Yelp
If you're looking for some great Filipino food for a great price swing by arts kitchen, they have all of the Filipino staples, as well as a few off item menus the staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is clean. What more can you ask for?

diana v.

Yelp
Yummy yummy food and excellent customer service. Always so accommodating and generous.

Yelp
I went there to buy lechon kawali. Unfortunately, they didn't have the cooked ones ready but they have some uncooked ones in their fridge. So they offered to cook them if I can wait for 15-20 minutes. They weighed the 2 fairly big pieces that came up to 1 1/2 lbs. I paid for it and after the long wait, it was finally cooked and they offered to chop them into pieces. I noticed that the person that cooked and chopped them for me walked out of the kitchen with a small plate of newly cooked chicharon and took it next door to give them to some friends or co-workers. I paid for that and they were stealing from me. Not happy at all. I ended up with the fatty ones and the good ones with meat ended up with the group next door. Not coming back for sure. Good luck with your business. Food is ok but stealing and cheating customer is not good.

Wendy R.

Yelp
I have tried Art's for about five times now. The first three times were great, everything we ordered were excellent, the place was very clean, the staff, especially the owner were all very friendly and accommodating. So what went wrong? On our 4th visit, a couple of items we ordered were extremely salty, to the point they were inedible and we had to throw them away. Thinking it might have been a one-off, we went back there for the 5th time but unfortunately, had the same issue. My hope is that they would be more consistent with their seasonings. If they can address the excessive salt issue, I would be willing to give them another try. I'm also glad that they extended their hours and are now open later than before.
google avatar

Anne D.

Yelp
I'm picky when it comes to Filipino food, but so far this place might be my favorite place to get Filipino food! I'm from Orange County so tried a variety of places including West Covina. Everything is flavorful and they give you a lot more protein than other places... I always find other places give me more veggies to fill the containers but not this place. Their customer service is top tier! They are very attentive and offer suggestions. So if it's your first time here they can help you find what you might like. The place is very clean and orderly as well. I will be coming back and recommending this place to my family!

Yelp
Years ago, I came by during lunch time. I ordered the pork adobo and the sinigang soup. It was so good. I never forgot the taste. I wish it can be closer to me so I can get it more often. I was really craving adobo and sinigang soup today so I drove about 30 minutes here. The place still looked the same. I decided to get the 3 items combo. The pork adobo, chicken adobo and sinigang soup. It came with rice or pancit. I love rice lol The flavors were the same. Still good as before. Service was also great like back in the days. This is probably the only place I go to for sinigang and adobo so good!

Caleb C.

Yelp
This place is incredible. I'm not filipino so I don't have a lot to compare to. But what I got was great Filipino food. It's incredibly clean inside and they were all very friendly and really helpful. I got the 3 item combo with Pork adobo, Chicken steak, and munggo. It was amazing. Very generous portions for only $16

Yelp
My new favorite spot since I moved to this area. Wow tastes just like my mom's cooking. Such a comfort spot. Can't wait to stop by again. By the way the guy that helped me gave me a free sample of the beef mechado wow. Customer service and food quality is amazing! Thank you so much

Bill D.

Yelp
Love the food here. Selection varies...all pretty fantastic! I wish they were open longer, but I've never been disappointed...ever!

Narek M.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing staff and amazing prices. I would highly recommend the pig blood dish and the chicken ginger soup.
google avatar

Venetzy M.

Yelp
So friendly, the entire staff is so nice the food is so good and the lechón is so crunchy and juicy!

Yelp
Arts kitchen brings me back to the motherland! I'm married to white chick who is smoking hot but doesn't cook authentic Filipino food because they don't work with exact measurements when it comes to cooking. Just add a little of this and a little of that to taste. Doesn't work and it comes out bland. Enter Arts Kitchen...... the food is to die for. You gotta go! The sisig was tasty! The bangus banging and the garlic fried rice and chicken skewers were eaten by my picky daughter who says she doesn't eat "chicken". They were super friendly and very accommodating.

philips M.

Yelp
Food is just ok, nothing really make me comeback here, you want great Filipino dish go to cerritos or nearby Artesia, Buena Park etc.. there's ASON, Manila Grille, Crispy house, Kusina ni Maria these are Five Star ratings and more choices of Filipino restaurant.
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
Highly recommend this spot! Their food is always fresh and they have the best lechon kawali. All the staff are also always very friendly.
google avatar

Regine Anne L.

Yelp
They are nice and welcoming! I was craving fried bangus (aka milkfish) and I wanted to try this mom and pop shop since it's near me. I got that with a combo of rice and munggo. Thank you Kuya Art for giving me a a small sample of sisig! I will definitely try to order that next time! And also, thank you for the pancit! They only had one hour left before closing so Kuya gave me a small box. Salamat po! I'll be back again!

Yelp
First time here. Had an appointment in the area and was craving for filipino food. This is a small eatery like a turo turo style. They have a few selections of foods which i love. A small bench to eat for dine in. Nice find in the area.

Yelp
Came around 12 pm for lunch and the customer service was great. Fyi they only make lumpia if you order 25 pieces or more. The lechon kiwali was freaking delicious. It is sold by the pound (you can order 1/2 pound). They have lunch that come with 1-3 items but the lechon kiwali is not included and is sold by pound. We ordered the chicken adobo, pork adobo, half rice and half pancit (philipino stir fried noodles) and also sweet and sour fish filet. They did not have any sisig on a friday. The selection is a little limited. We also ordered a halo-halo for around $6. The halo halo is a must get and so is the lechon kiwali. I also really liked the pork adobo! Great affordable fresh food!!!
google avatar

Jojo B.

Yelp
The food the service and the ambiance is superb, I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to chef Bufford. I enjoyed your delicious food (especially the adobo afritada and beef mechado)

Yelp
This place was so good! My parents haven't had Filipino food before, and this was the closest place that had Filipino food, so we decided to try it out for my dad's birthday. Guys - my Asian dad is one of the most difficult people to impress on how food tastes. To give you an example, we had a two-meal birthday celebration, and the first meal was Sugarfish and he said it was "ok". But Art's Kitchen managed to get a "that was pretty good" out of him, and he even had a bunch of favorite dishes! His favorites were the sisig, menudo, and pork adobo. My mom LOVED their pancit. My boyfriend's favorite was the sisig as well. And my favorite were the lechon and the pork adobo as well. BUT EVERYTHING WAS SO DANG GOOD. No one had a least favorite dish because it was just so tasty. I'll definitely have to come back when I'm back in town. Also did I mention how worth it this place is?! So much delicious food for not that much money!
google avatar

Joan D.

Yelp
Worth trying for sure! Nothing like food from back home. Small spot, but plenty of hospitality. The person behind the counter was very polite and friendly. They have an area along the window for seating, but I'm not sure if they're limited to just those seats. I took my food to go. Support your local small businesses.

Mary Grace R.

Yelp
I was surprised at how good this place was. I ordered their beef nilaga and I was soooo good. Lots of flavor, plenty of vegetables/meat. I will be coming back for more

Yelp
This was my 1st time here and so I didn't know what to expect with taste or price. But it's actually quite reasonable compared to the other Filipino To-Go places near my house which have skyrocketed their prices and dramatically fell in taste. Right off the bat I was impressed that Art's Kitchen packages your food in reusable plastic containers instead of the traditional styrofoam cups. I got the Laing - Pinaket - and some Lechon Kawali. If they had my ultimate favorite Kare-Kare I'd be Super Happy but everything was so delicious !! The sauce that comes with the Lechon I believe is Manong Thomas sauce goes well with the Lechon. It was so Crispy and the little bit of gelatinous fat melts in your mouth. Not something I'd eat on a daily basis but definitely a treat when craving something crunchy and meaty. I'd definitely make the little bit of a drive out to come back here again ! I also absolutely love that they post their daily menu on Facebook so no more guessing and disappointment if they didn't have what you hope for. Keep up the fair pricing and deliciousness !! I'll for sure be back again soon.

Yelp
Our home away from home, as they serve Filipino dishes which is my comfort food, and the customer service, is at its best.
google avatar

Jasmine Y.

Yelp
I came here in October so it had just opened for about a month. There weren't really any other Filipino food options in the area while we were visiting so decided to give this place a try. It's a turo turo (point point) place and the decor is more modern and clean looking. They serve everything to you in the styrofoam take out containers on a red tray. We had the dinuaguan, tinola, pancit, sisig, and monga. Everything was pretty good to me but my husband just thought it was okay (he's Filipino American). He thinks the food lacked texture and seasoning but worked for his craving.
google avatar

Wendy C.

Yelp
Yum! Love this spot - everything we had was delicious. We ordered the pork skewers, the mixed veg and tofu, the bittermelon with beef, the fish fillet, and the lumpia. Unfortunately, they forgot my lumpia. They were pretty busy today. But everything else was delicious, very clean flavors with a lot of heart. The skewers were some of my favorite pork skewers. I like the size of them too - sometimes places will make them so huge and hard to eat or too little meat on them. These were perfectly seasoned with a nice balance of sweet and savory. Fish fillet had a thicker, more spiced/seasoned sauce instead of the thinner/translucent sauce and it was delish. Would order this again. I am very much looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Today we supported our local business by ordering our food to go for our daughter's 21st birthday. We ordered a few combo items for our noonday meal and it was all so delicious! Pork Adobo, Sisig, crispy oats, of course pancit! Edward helped us out over the phone and got our orders ready for our noon pick up. Every thing was ready when I got there. I was even able to add some barbecue stick/ and inihaw na baboy. Porky goodness! One of the things we ordered was the Emo todo which was so good. I'm not serving all this by the way, we are are also sharing it with my mom and dad since they're in isolation. If you're in the mood for some outstanding Pinoy food and service, call Art's Kitchen from Monday through Saturday for your to go needs. We highly recommend this little hole in the wall, a local business that deserves our patronage.

Yelp
Art's Kitchen, newly opened since September, took over Kabayan Restaurant. Found in the same small plaza as Duarte Chamber, specifically next door to Wang's Beauty Salon. This plaza is across the street from Sushi Fire. Art's Kitchen's set up is similar to Asian fast food eateries in which you can chose what hot food items you would like via combination or a la carte. There is also a dining room in case you wish to dine in. I came here with my husband last Monday, a few minutes after 4 pm. There was one gentleman ahead of us and a couple that came in shortly after us. After looking at the options, I ended up getting: Small order of pancit, $4.99 prior to tax- Tasty and appreciated that it was not salty (as I have been to other restaurants where it is). Great size to share with 3 people. 2 items $8.50- With this combination, it came with 2 scoops of steamed white rice. I picked chicken adobo and chicken curry. Both chicken dishes have bones (figured I would make mention) and come with a fair amount of chicken. I liked the adobo with the sauce used and potato. The chicken curry was hearty and liked some of the vegetables added. 3 items $10.50- My husband opted for 3 food items, that also came with 2 scoops of steamed rice. He picked pork adobo, pork afritado and one beef item. Unfortunately the food items are not labeled and so I don't know what beef dish we had, but the employee helping us did tell us what meat the items were when we pointed and asked. ----------------------- (Total= $26.27 after tax) I am no stranger to Filipino food, since I actually had a Filipino baby sitter when I was young. I ate plenty of chicken adobo (my favorite), milk fish, lumpia, pork sisig and pancit (don't even get me started on the desserts). I like that food here seems to be made a little healthier than similar Filipino fast food eateries, which I appreciate, with less fat and salt. Portion sizes are definitely plenty. We had enough for 6 meals with the food that we purchased. Art's Kitchen is definitely a hidden gem and will definitely be back to try other food items, including dessert.

Edgar A.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing family atmosphere! We've tried many Filipino restaurants and hole in the walls but nothing compares to Arts. Our favorite is the beef adobo. It reminds me of Spanish Mole sauce if you've never tried it but it's a little bit sweet and very addicting. Their beef mechada is also amazing. It's slow cooked and melts in your mouth. We've also had the fish and pork skin which were just as good and I recommend getting. Pork skin can run out so if you see it, get it. Everything truly has a homemade feeling and taste. They offer sample so you can taste something before you buy it but beware... once you taste it you will for sure get a bowl of it!

Yelp
**AUTHENTIC FILIPINO FOOD** We just moved the area and have passed by Art's kitchen multiple times hoping to try this place. My girlfriend is Filipino and was hoping to find the comforts of home cooking near our area. We were glad we had a chance to try Art's Kitchen as it had all the dishes her family used to make! Their food was made fresh and had flavors that hit all the spots whether you like sour, spicy, sweet, or savory. We had their Lechon Kawaili, Dinuguuan, Pinaksiw na Lechon, and Sinigang na baboy (probably not spelled right) Also, make sure you try their ice cream! Accordingly to my girlfriend, it tastes just like the Philippines! 5 Stars! Can't wait to grab lunch again here next time.

Jocelyn G.

Yelp
Yummy delicious Filipino food. Every time we are in Duarte. Masarap ang ginataang langka.

Jos A.

Yelp
Good Filipino food, reminds me of the good quality of food my mom would cook back home in Manila. The staff are respectful and friendly. They also have good variety in the items they offer. I miss the suman sa lihia. As good as if not better than Goldilocks one. If you're in the area try them out. I find the desserts a little on the pricey side, but from time to time I would buy one for my kids just to know something about the Filipino culture.
google avatar

Margaret P.

Yelp
I've lived in Monrovia for almost three years now, and in the time that I've been here, there's only been two Filipino restaurants around me that I go to - this being one of them. This is a very small location with mostly takeout as an option, but if you're going to order from here anyway, it's recommended you call in advance to place your order. It's also good to give them a ring to see what their menu options are anyway. If you're looking to order some lumpia shanghai, be sure to call in advanced as they're made to order! Their price points are great and are serving some good traditional Filipino dishes.
google avatar

Nichole B.

Yelp
I came at 330 so items were already gone, I wanted to try my favorites but I guess I must go earlier. I ended up getting the pork adobo it was good but why call it a combo when you only get your entree and rice only. The chicken afritada was good too I was given a sample. I'm not phillipino so I don't know what everything is but this was tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
Friday 12:00pm takeout during my lunch break Clean and welcoming place, parking is one side of a strip lot so may be full. There may be street parking available. It may be helpful to call ahead to order. Cafeteria style service with options displayed. Combo: 1 item, 2 item, 3 item A la carte options Sizes are displayed on the wall. I ordered the Two item combo and was offered half rice half pancit as an option. Of course I was down. For both of my two items I got double Lechon kawali, crispy pork belly because I'm no dummy. The fat is rendered perfectly with tender pork and crispy skin and paired with the slightly sweet sauce is so good. This was round 2 - first experience was ordering for a group event - lechon kawali and lumpia - delicious Greatly enjoyable, I would recommend. I'll definitely be back and happy to bring co workers to try. Support local businesses! Xo

Yelp
Love me some Filipino food. Had a variety of traditional dishes. I went with the pansit, white rice, chicken adobo and menudo. Everything tasted great and the workers were very nice. No sign out front on the building yet but it's right next door to Wangs Beauty supplies.

Yelp
FOOD and CUSTOMER SERVICE are both EXCELLENT!! They are so nice and accommodating. Would've given 5 stars but they run out of food often and close too early. So , if u know there's something u like/want, call ahead to make sure they still have it,

Yelp
Ordered pancit and eggrolls and yes, this place is legit! So happy to get my Filipino food from here

Yelp
The food was amazing and very authentic. Place felt just like home and the owners were super nice. They even offered us soup to try as it was freshly brewed!
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Love to find another authentic filipino spot near my home! I had the beef picadillo which was flavorful and I love the tomato base of it. Also, they didn't have anymore pork in the siningang, but gave me some free soup in a small container to take home which was very good and sour(I love my sinigang very sour). Also got the mungo(which was nostalgic) and the chicken adobo for my daughter which she enjoyed. My only critique was the dinuguan. I felt like it was missing salt and more seasoning, like it needed more flavor from the pepper and vinegar. Other than that, it was great! The service was very nice as well :)

Yelp
Great food, great service! Big portions, low prices. Can't beat it. Highly recommend the buko pandan dessert.
