Stopped here for breakfast with my family while we were in vacation. I had the make your own omelet, my husband and daughter had the egg breakfast with a pancake and my other daughter had the French Toast. The service was good. The food was NOT hot and the coffee was bitter. We sat outside because there weren't seats inside, so I'm not sure if that's why our cups were Styrofoam and we ate with plasticware on not. The potatoes were spicy which I wasn't expecting. The pancake was delicious but the rest was pretty average.

We stopped here to enjoy a weekend brunch. That was a great decision! Although we had to wait a bit to get a table, the staff was efficient as the indoor dining area is fairly limited on space and tables. They offer a good selection of classic breakfast/brunch entrees. The pricing is very competitive, and the portions was large. We like to point out that their Biscuit and Gravy is excellent! Service was fast and efficient. Next time, we will try out their burgers instead.

Exactly what we think of when we think of an OBX joint. This was our first time here and we'll be back! The burger was great and the Ruben I had was one of the best I've had anywhere. Atmosphere is classic Kitty Hawk local vibe and our servers were awesome. 10/10! We are so glad to have found this place. $51 before tip with a Passionfruit Margherita (also highly recomend- not too sweet!) and appetiser. We cant recommend this place enough.

A no frills beach road burger joint. Their burger and fries are great! Fresh, 1/2 pound patties - seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and pepper once they are put on the flat top. Hand cut fries… yummmmm

Their motto of locals welcomed visitors tolerated rang true with our experience this morning 🤣! Staff …. Understaffed and apparently we were invisible! Atmosphere… we sat outside, could have been nice but the flies were crazy as we sat beside a trash can. Food…. Was honestly great! My sandwich was incorrect, but I still ate it and it still tasted great. My husband was very satisfied with his food! He ordered the omelette and I ordered the breakfast sandwich! May attempt to try it again at some point when it’s less busy!

This place was recommended by a local that we met and we were NOT disappointed! The place is on a side street and has a very “local” feel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We went for breakfast and the food was amazing! I would recommend this place for sure!

Delicious breakfast! My mother in law said it was the best omelette she's ever had. The bloody Marys were actually good. The wrapped omelette or burrito 🌯 was delicious and the Biscuits and gravy was good. Would definitely recommend and would come back!

The food was so good! The hand cut fries were perfectly cooked! The prime rib sandwich and burger were excellent! We sat outside and the weather was nice with a slight breeze. The two waitresses were very kind and attentive! Great food and service! We like sitting outside so we enjoyed it! The inside seating is limited but nice too.

Jam packed tiny little place. We had a brief wait and then got seated at the bar. Service was very quick and prices were good. They know what they're doing there. Because we were seated at the bar, we had a good view of the grill and watched the cook adeptly cook the orders. It was kind of fun to watch. It was really too loud to talk much but the food came quickly and was delicious. I had a BLT and I enjoyed it very much. The portions were huge! I ended up taking half the sandwich home and had it for dinner. This is another hole in the wall place recommended by a local tour guide. It was a good find.

Everything was great from the service to the food but let me tell you it gets packed fast cuz right now it's a very small dining area I guess just during the day maybe they open the upstairs during the night and it's definitely too cold to sit outside. My hamburger was perfect and fantastic will be back

A small hole in the wall diner/restaurant with full bar service. They offer mostly handhelds, and have a nice beer/wine and mixed drink list. That said, the burger is the star here. Juicy, cooked to perfection, served on a Martin's potato bun (IYKYK), with any of an assortment of toppings. I had the pimiento burger, it was terrific. Service with a smile, a great burger, cold beers and across the road from the beach? How could it get better. (According to my son, easily in the top 5 burgers in NC).

Got in just before the crowd open mic night, little did we know we were in for a treat! Not only massive deliciousness in the burger but loads of friendly folks just out to have a good time with some live music! Such a fun little place even in October! Go in season, go off season - just go!

The service was great. The waiter was attentive even though they were busy. The food was delicious and the portions were big! I would definitely come back!

Finger licking good. I was in the area and decided to stop in, oh I'm glad I did. I had the Carolina Burger and wow was it good. It came with chili on the burger and I added the side of slaw to it and that was a great idea. Sorry I didn't get a picture, I was so hungry I couldn't wait to eat it.

Great sandwich! The fries were super crispy, delicious ! The girls were very attentive and topped off our drink regularly. It is a small place, but the make up for the size with top notch food and friendly atmosphere. Nevermind the grumpy guy in the corner, every local haunt has one.

An absolute MUST!! Everytime we vacation we come a few times! Burgers you cannot go wrong! Wings are fabulous! Crabcake sandwich amazing! Have not had a bad experience! Place is tiny however the staff always fit you in somewhere!

Place was packed for breakfast! After a short wait we were seated at the bar. Coffee was strong, food was fresh & delish! No frills, hole in the wall spot. Staff were attentive and friendly, will definitely be back!

Awesome breakfast spot! I got the egg breakfast, fried over-easy with bacon, grits, and a biscuit. My girlfriend got the french toast. I got a Bloody Mary and she got the Golden Girl. Everything was awesome! Food was affordable, and the vibe of the place was great!

Pretty cool place that gets crowded quickly! Service is a bit slow when crowded. So expect a wait for seating and food. Definitely check out the front deck... it has a slight ocean view. They have outdoor seating on the sides and a backyard area. We went on a Sunday and they had live performances which was pretty cool. The food is good. We tried the standard burger which was good. We also tried their 5 alarm burger, which had spicy mustard and jalapeños. It was tasty and not spicy hot. So if you like jalapeño flavors, it's worth a shot. Also, try their sweet potato fries which I think is better than the regular fries.

Wow.. now that's a burger. When they say 1/2 pound patties they mean it. I should've read the fine print but glad I didn't! My double bacon cheeseburger was amazing and cooked perfectly. Bacon and Swiss was the way to go!! Hands down some of the best fries on the obx if you ask me. Only bad thing was we discovered this on our way home and weren't able to eat it at least once more!!! Great atmosphere, great food and great help!! The help were all amazing and was fun to watch the guys do their thing on the grill! Highly recommend, just make sure you get it early enough in the week to go back!

Very cool vibe and great waitress. Had the pimento burger with jalapeños and french fries. The sauce on the burger was fantastic. So happy that I made it here for lunch after being ignored at another restaurant. Five stars for the fantastic staff!

If you have issues not having your way , leave! This place does things their way.! Breakfast ends at 10:45 ! Lunch starts at 11:30! Very small kitchen! 100 percent attitude and local! I don't care what you think! ! The food is ok! I found it to be good but not great ! We had to sit at the bar! The other table was used for I guess staff children! Limited seating! It has a bar scene! The hamburgers appeared to be made by hand! The over cook every burger! It was nice to see everything made in front of you! I found a little bit of bone in my burger! It was little dry. They put some type of liquid with very little salt on the burger! My wife's burger tasted different ! It had more flavor! Fries were excellent! We got ranch ! The place movers very metered! It's very friendly!the egg on the burger was fine! It's a very salty local place! I didn't like closing the kitchen at 10:45 and being made to sit at the bar on high top chairs! I thought the hamburger was large but my flavor was bland and not cooked to medium as indicated! My wife loved her burger! I think this is not a tourist place and I would probably not return! I did very much enjoy my experience!

By far the best burger place on the beach. Or anywhere for that matter!! The Western Burger is my favorite and the fries are amazing. 10/10

Service was fantastic! The employees were welcoming and easy-going with our medium group of 7. We arrived right before the dinner rush around 4p and got to sit inside. There is a lot of outdoor seating as well! It is kid friendly and the atmosphere is very beachy-chill. Parking is pretty good depending on the time you arrive but they do have a small parking lot on site. We started with drinks and chips & mango salsa. The server was very kind and asked if we wanted to place the kids order with the appetizer but we decided to wait. The salsa was fresh and had a slight kick to it but it was delicious and refreshing after a long day at the beach. The chips were thick and crispy and perfect for dipping. I was about to order the Five Alarm Burger (Pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, jalapenos & spicy mustard) but at the last second we realized there was a specials menu (only one paper menu on the table) and thankfully my sister saw the Chupacabra burger special! The burgers come with natural cut fries and the patties are huge! They were cooked perfectly and the portions were more than enough to fill your belly. The great thing about the burgers - besides the taste - is that the buns are thinner so you don't feel super heavy after eating THE WHOLE THING plus fries My husband got the Swiss Mushroom on Rye and said it was good but that the Chupacabra was definitely better. The goat cheese and house made red onion jam were such a great pair.

Delicious is an understatement. We arrived on the tail end of breakfast and stayed for the lunch setup. We were partial to the burgers since first coming 4 years ago. Our boys loved them then and the quality has not waned! We sat at the bar and watched Sue, Larry and the team operate with respect and love, which is NOT always easy in tight quarters! We ordered the Old Bay Wings, Western and Carolina Burgers - all were delicious! Treat these guys and gals with care. There are precious and doing AMAZING things! We hope to be back very soon.

Good grief if I post again about this business they will begin charging me rent You can't go wrong with Art's for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is always delicious and served with a smile. We particularly enjoy the off season here as our favorite restaurants aren't as crowded. Be sure to stop in for a great meal, cold drink & ocean view from the top bar!

We got a bunch of burgers from Art's Place, and they were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Great service too. Thank you to whoever cooked those delicious burgers.

Locals joint. Southern soul food. Specialty best burgers on the beach, sweet potato fries, fried green tomatoes, steamer bar upstairs on the deck with a wide view of the ocean. Daniel has done a great job with Arts.

People are so very friendly at Art's. The coffee is excellent (hot, tasty and plentiful). We had sausage gravy and biscuits. The sausage gravy was tasty and the biscuit was flaky and huge. They split the biscuit and grill it. My husband had scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and a biscuit. The sausage has a nice kick to it. Art's is a fun place to eat. It is small and cozy. It is always busy but the service is fast.

Burger and sweet potato fries were amazing. Server was super cute. It's a great little spot. Four tables. And a handful of bar stools.

Stumbled in here by accident. Great drinks, wonderful friendly servers, and outside seating. Very "chill." Great chili cheese dog. Big enough for 2 people. Great find.

Love Art's! It's our regular Friday night place when we arrive at the beach. As oldies, we don't frequent the Sway Bar upstairs, but it sounds like a good time! We go for the burgers, beer, and great staff. Onion rings are pretty special too! I hesitate to bring them any more business - we already wait for a seat!!

Stopped into Art's Place for breakfast before heading out of OBX. We were looking forward to breakfast but did not anticipate how long it would take to wait for our table or food. The food was fine but we were pretty hungry after waiting for so long. I would order breakfast TOGO next time and just sit at a table outside behind the building that were not being used for dining in. The inside is extremely tiny and only a handful of outdoor tables near the front of the building were being used for dine-in customers. If you are in a rush or have a large party I would recommend going somewhere else. I will say the staff was great! They were constantly hustling around the restaurant and assisting tables or greeting new customers coming in.

Great burgers and cold beer. I love it when I show up and they have live music. I am never dissapointed when I leave

Delicious local spot for breakfast! Stopped in with a party of 2 and had a 20 minute wait and then we were seated at the counter. Fast service and the food was delicious! Husband enjoyed the sausage gravy and I loved the breakfast wrap (basically a breakfast burrito!) Lots of great veggies in the wrap. I added a side of extra crispy hash browns and they were yummy as well. The pancake is plate sized and has great flavor. Coffee was good too! Highly recommend grabbing breakfast here if you can. Just a heads up that there are only four tables inside and the counter. We came on a rainy day and don't know if they serve outside on the picnic tables.

Funny story. Went here today 9.3.25 for breakfast with myhubby. Had very good french toast and 2 scramble egss he had 2 eggs over easy with bacon n hone fries. DELISH !! Then our kids (30 yr olds) wanted dinner tonight from there. So we got there at 340pm. Ordred and got sodas quick. Food came ip shortly after that and was so awful none of us finished anything. Rueben.mush swoss burger.chick wrap and baha burger. Awful. Worst part about it.....the whole staff left us alone in restaurant for a good bit of time. no silverware..condiments.. then 1 waitress a blonde came out n helped. We payed the bill to her as our waitress finally reappeared.. We thought maybe a robbery in place. Anywho. no going back. Thanks for breakfast!!

Very cool place for breakfast. Service was great. The food was very flavorful. The pancakes were huge! I mean huge. That's why I did this review really. I wanted everyone to see how big the pancakes were.

We were next door at Tap That for drinks. Tap That doesn't serve food and advertises that we can go next door to Arts for food. I attempted to run next door and grab some grub, but the little blonde bar tender was so rude I left and will never return.

Ate breakfast here two days in a row. This is a locals spot based on the clientele but they treat tourists just the same. Breakfast sausage was a hit for us. Apparently it's made just for this restaurant. They fill up fast so get there early or expect a wait. Great staff.

What a treat! We're were able to get breakfast and a show. We were right in front of the grill and the guys were fun. The service was outstanding and the food was great. I had the biscuit breakfast Sammy and the biscuit was melt in your mouth good. We albreakfast. French toast and pumpkin pancakes and they were heavenly. The drinks were also a great pairing with breakfaat. The prices were the best in OBX!!!!

I stopped by this morning for an egg cheese and bacon sandwich to go I waited over an hour I know it's tourist season but damn over an hour for a breakfast sandwich and I know you have the best food the food is just so delicious but over an hour for a breakfast sandwich WTF

Juicy cheese burger! 1/2 pounder what juicy and made medium so good! No seeds on the bun. Fries were hand cut as the soak them in a bucket of water. Space is snaked so we sat bar area and drooled over them making other yummy items, like a Reuben. Will definitely come back!

Just love this place!!! I knew Art and his business partner Bill, when they owned the place 30 years ago and it is as good now as it was then. I highly recommend this fine establishment as a casual place to grab a drink or a quick bite that is fun and laid back with a definite beach vibe!!

Best Burgers in the OBX! We love Art's Place. It is a local favorite. The food is always consistent, hot, the fries are amazing, and the Burgers are the best in the OBX. Today, I had the pimento cheese & jalapeño and it was fantastic!

My favorite place in this area. It's a local hangout where tourists might feel a little out of place... and that's good. Large portions. Everything cooked in view. Great prices. Always busy.

We went to the Sway Bar on top of the restaurant and just ordered drinks. I got a basil gimlet from the specials menu and my husband got a beer. Mine was delish but the beer was barely cold. It brought him back to his college days when nobody cared that beer was served warm. Ewww! All of that takes a back seat to the view. Amazing!! We would highly recommend coming for that reason alone.

We got seated quickly and servers were nice. The appetizers plates were a bit dirty so we had to send them back for new plates. The burger came out a bit cold and the cheese didnt even melt. They did give lots of fries though.

Like this place needs more amazing reviews, but wow. Fun staff. Fun customers. Amazing burgers and fries. Cold beer. Great roadtrip from the Washington area. Can't wait to come back!!

Really nice little vibe, the servers were super pleasant. Additionally, I had a burger of the week, which was a Goat cheese and fig jam burger... to die for.

Sat at the back by the bar. Sun wasn't fun but the service was great and the burgers were too. Would recommend

Dan and his crew don't miss a beat. Food is brutally tasty especially the burgers. Service is great and the ambiance is phenomenal. Being off season there are no issues getting in. Spring and summer, hit or miss. The thing is to be patient, you get a pager and will be seated before the wait time.
