"Like its sibling in the North End, the Beacon Hill location of Artu is currently offering delivery. Find it on various platforms between 4 and 9 p.m. daily, serving dishes like tagliatelle Bolognese, linguine vongole, and pollo arrabbiata. Order: Grubhub / Uber Eats" - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

One of Boston's hidden jems that I don't want to draw attention to! Small, hidden and the absolute best Italian dishes. Quiet place for a nice dinner for 2 or 10. Wine selection is great and reasonably priced.

Cozy, welcoming and delicious homemade Italian cuisine. We had chicken and seafood, both flavorful. I appreciated the gluten-free pasta option. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Be sure to save room for the cannolis!

Cute, romantic, below sidewalk small Italian restaurant. Prices were fair. Presentation good. Atmosphere good. Shrimp Linguine with garlic white sauce was excellent. Hugh fresh shrimp. Pasta was perfect. Used fresh bread to soak up left over sauce. Everything prepared fresh in an open kitchen. Highly recommend for locals and tourists.

We have been coming here for years, for special occasions in particular, and have never been disappointed in any aspect. Great service that is friendly and not stuffy, but with a very nice atmosphere. Every single thing on the menu is consistently fantastic. This will always be our go-to place for a nice evening, good food, and the best servers.

Artu, Artu, what happened to you? After visiting Boston as a tourist more than 10 years ago, I was brought to Artu by a friend and fell in love with it. I remember thinking, if this is how all of Boston is, then I will really love this place. Well, it's been a long time since then, and while I have been to the North End location and think it's amazing, the Beacon Hill location is now anything but. I felt like I was walking into a dingy old diner. The menu online has options that are not on their printed menu in the restaurant. So while I had worked myself up for an amazing dinner, it did not exist. They offered to make me a version of it, but in the end, it was pretty gross and so not worth the very expensive price. The bread was not great, and while the service was fine, the experience as a whole was very underwhelming. I hope they figure out what's not working and fix it, because this place USED to be incredible!

Really bad experience! I tought that I would have a romantic dinner with my husband but... As soon as we got in the waitress screamed loudly at us telling us where we should seat. The place had a very strong cheese smell (in a bad way). The floor was not clean. One of the guys in the open kitchen looked at us like "more costumers to increase my workload at 8pm, just 1 hour from closing time". Then we needed to wait 5 minutes to receive the menu while the waitress was yelling thank you to the other tables. It was disturbing. We decided to order a meat that comes with pasta to share. The waitress told us that it was not possible to share plates (this info was not on the menu). It was not that we are asking to share a salad. The course was $24 and we were not that hungry. I asked for more time to decide and eventually we left the restaurant. I am really glad that I didn't have dinner at this place.

We had two meals in Artu. A small cosy Italian restaurant. Food is very pleasant, straightforward Italian. We had main course and dessert. Service was pleasant and efficient. Price was reasonable. Staff members Angel and Betty were excellent.

We were in the neighbourhood looking for a place to eat and decided to give it a try. I guess I was imagining it's like in Italy: not too expensive and the food is good. Well, it wasn't meant to be. Only the aperitif was Italian, to say so. As I liked it, I ordered a bottle of Sangiovese, instead of a second glass. Wrong decision as the main course was an awful disappointment. The veal stuffed with prosciutto was too sour. My daughter had gnocchi and didn't like it. We travelled to Italy this year and know trattoria is not really fine dining, still you can always find something tasty. Not the case of this one. We were a family of four and NONE of us liked the food there. The waitress came to see us at the end and inquired if I wanted to take away the food we barely tasted. What a joke! The bill was $180, and although the waitress noticed we were not satisfied with the food, she offered no discount or something. We had a reservation for next evening at Mistral, and decided not to go there at all as my trust in European style cuisine suffered a serious blow, so instead we went to Legal Sea Food, and were very happy with that decision.
