This Pizza shop is so bad!!! If I cane I'll give it 0 star ⭐ I when to get a 2 cheese slice to go. there was no customer in the shop and the old guy who is working at it took him 40 seconds to heat up 2 slice and then I ask him cane plz put in the pizza box how I am going to carry it and it's was cold outside and he say it's going to $1 dollar extra so he wants me to pay $8 for 2 cheese pizza slices. The guy need to be fired! A cheese on the bread should not be $8 I hope this shop go out of business!

if I could give this place 0 stars I would. What used to be a staple in the community is a grade pending restaurant that made me incredibly sick. Not to mention they removed the grade pending sign from the window which isn’t fair to customers. They need to really address the cleanliness in this restaurant.

Arturo’s pizza is maybe best in the West but also he has other delights worth trying most for under $10… get it to go or stay for the comedy 🎭 the father & sons running the place are hilarious, Medalla not included but you cop those next door

I am obsessed with Arturo's! The penne ala vodka with grilled chicken is so wonderful I can't stop eating this as well as their calzone's! I am so happy this place exists. Not to mention the delivery person, he always goes above and beyond to deliver and is extremely sweet. Keep up the amazing hard work! Big thank you!

Was walking up Broadway and had previously seen a comment online that it was good. Got a slice and a Gatorade, and it's one of the better slices I've had in months. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

I've been to Arturo's Pizzeria several times and it never disappoints! I've tried so many things from their menu -- the Philly cheesesteak, cheeseburger with fries, different pizzas (always toasted perfectly with fresh toppings), penne alla vodka, lasagna, and more. Everything is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The service is just as great as the food everyone is friendly, welcoming, and makes sure you're taken care of. You can really tell they care about their customers. Definitely one of my go-to spots for great food and good vibes

Quantity of food is great, but the quality is terrible. The calamari was the worst I've ever had. Please don't ask me why I ordered this from a pizza joint. I'm embarrassed as it is. The calamari was rubbery and had such an odd taste. The eggplant is my pasta also had a weird taste. It's a shame because they give you so much food. Would not order from here again

Ordered a pepperoni pie with spinach. It was really good. I appreciated that the spinach was sauteed rather than just placing leaves in the pizza. Would recommend and definitely order again next time in the mood for pizza.

Please see my last review, not I had also ordered a vegetable stromboli. It was signed in half, then stuffed with ricotta and only spinach. The 'vegetable' is described to be broccoli and spinach, among other things. If I wanted just ricotta and spinach inside a sliced roll, I would have ordered that. See photo. Very disappointing and inedibly salty.

Small but deep pizzeria between the subway and metro-north. I figured I'd stop in for a quick slice, while walking to my train. I grabbed one cheese slice and a soda. The entire time I was there, one employee just kept ranting and raving about a customer who was lying about a delivery. My pizza was insanely hot, kind of floppy but super doughy. Doughy in a bad way. It had no crispness. The sauce while on the slice, had no taste. The cheese tasted fairly low quality too. I think I took 3 bites before it went into the bin.

Their plain slice hits the spot, although if I had my way, the edge crust would be a bit thinner and crispier. As I've said in my past reviews, I won't get delivery from here, but eating in is on point. $4 gets you a slice and a soda...fries for $1 more if you're feeling particularly hungry. Can't really beat it.

I ordered from this place and then the delivery was delayed over and over. Finally I had to cancel it. What a waste of time and money.

Lunch time summons something local in DA BRONX. I've eaten at Arturo's Pizzeria for two lunch times already. The first time was for 2 pcs of fried chicken with French Fries and biscuit $5.00 which I did not get a biscuit as it was substituted with one garlic knot. The chicken was good and the shoe string Fries was edible. The wait was nearly fifteen minutes with one cook taking his sweet time. The second time was for one regular pizza slice $2.50 served extremely pipping hot that burnt my mouth. Seating is limited in a dark and dingy, dilapidated and very dated setting. Price is very reasonable compared to Manhattan. Servers and cooks are fluent in Spanish.

So let me just say, Arturo's will forever get my business! Why you may ask, they are open to late hours of the night, they are very accommodating and the good is delicious. The pastas, the pizza, you name it just delicious! To the Delivery crew, please know that my family and I appreciate you always, you risk a lot bringing us food, and we appreciate it always. Just keep in mind when delivering hot pizza, the cheese will shift if not held properly. Now my pizza was a hot mess, but don't think for one minute we didn't buss it down.... please do not be insulted think of this as a guided way to delivering food they way you would want to receive it, okay... Enough of my rant! Thanks Arturo for always meeting our families needs.. Stay safe and stay blessed!!!

Excellent They're the best local pizzeria in this area we never are dissatisfied with what they prepare and their menu has lots to offer the staff is also an amazing group of people. staff is awesome

You want to visit REAL NYC try this food joint and check out the ELVIS and ROCKY BALBOA photographs. Guarantee when you try this place you'll want to come back. Menus with prices are attached. Pay a good price and fill up on an empty stomach. Open seating!

I find myself here before jumping into the metro north, the place is very cozy but good, you can find a nice slide or pie of pizza here, but besides selling pizza like in any normal pizzeria of NY, you also can find others goodies. One of there is burger, I find myself ordering the combo of the Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe with was served with lettuce, tomatoes, and French fries on the side. The burger was ok not the best I had but not bad for a pizzeria. The staff was fast making my burger, a great thing because I request my food to go, so that way I was able to catch the train and eat my burger while I was on the train.

extremely unprofessional! takes online orders...immediately charges my credit card...and then cancels the order bcs it's not big enough! and slice is staffed by a bunch of idiots! i spoke with vanessa and she has to be the most incompetent person around! please do not patronize arturo's ever!!!!! a terrible experience! there are too many other great pizzerias around so nobody should deal with these unprofessional losers!!!!!

Delivered was on time. Food was still hot and huge plates. Gyro was tasted good, a lot of veggies and sauce and beef wasn't dry. Baked ziti was juicey and came with 2 garlic gnots. Calamari salad was fine, nothing special. Maybe order from them again since they have a huge menu I would love to try.

The interior is really weird and outdated. There's chicken posters all over the walls. It feels like a pizzeria chuckee-cheese(weird). BUT the food that I ate made up for this weird vibe. They've also go some pretty sweet deals inside: specials on pizza, sandwiches, and $1 fries. However, my review will be on the penne vodka. It was BOMBBBBBB: the sauce, the pasta, the garlic bread!!! Mannnnnn, I'll be back for more but definitely for TAKEOUT. The employees keep busy all day-night whether it's pumping out customers or pumping out delivery orders. good tasting -- LOCAL JOINT. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

The lady worker gives bad looks , but the food is really good at a nice price , so overall it's 4 stars

We have ordered from here several times and it's been great. However, today my pizza arrived looking like this. I called the shop and was put on the phone with the manager, who was extremely rude and refused to help. He kept saying "we use mozzarella cheese," as if that was a reason for my pizza to look like this. He refused to refund my order or send a new pizza. Guess I'll order elsewhere from now on.

I go there most of the time after school to eat and do my homework. The pizza is good and the fries are food. However every time I go there the ladies that work there constantly give me weird and disrespectful looks. Whenever I order the lady looks at me in disgust. I don't know if that's how her personality is but she isn't like that with any other customers. I'm just really confused on what I did to get those looks.

Not sure why people are claiming this to be the best in the Bronx. Its not even the best in the area. It was dirty, but that doesn't surprise or bother me. Its in a great location right over the bridge, but its mediocre at best. The crust doesn't have any flavor to it. They cook it on a screen which takes away a lot of the crispness it might have if they cooked it on te oven floor. The cheese is overwhelming and below average. The sauce was too sweet and overspiced. I thought about giving this 2 stars, but this things was just nasty, let alone a noteworthy slice joint.

I really use to love this place but it seems as Arturo has gotten older he's letting the place go downhill. Watching someone make my food with no gloves I is not it, imagine if the health department walked in and saw that. The food is still good but the standards as far as hygiene is going down hill.

This is quite possibly the WORST pizza I have ever had in my life. Sadly I write this bad review because they gave me a free order of zeppolis.. Margarita pizza DOES NOT have squares of deli cheese on it. It has FRESH mozz. Sprinkled on dried basil does NOT qualify as the fresh basil leaves that belong on a margarita pizza. This horrible abomination called a pie also arrived lukewarm. I ate one slice and I will try to "fix" it myself tomorrow.

I would order from here again, even though my first experience wasn't perfect. I ordered a pizza with extra cheese, and when I got it, the cheese had spilled over into the box (I posted a picture- check it out). The flavor was good, but I think the delivery person dropped it or something... Hopefully next time my box won't be soggy.

Oh my gosh.....Tonight was the first time I ordered from here! My food was delivered within 30 minutes, the food got here hot! I was surprised that the penne alla vodka was so delicious! Probably the best I've had in a while! I can honestly say I've never tasted with so much flavor! The only thing I did not enjoy was the onions. I hate onions and I felt like they had so many of those bad boys in there. Big, small, skinny, big, the onions were in every shape and size. But hey, the pasta was so good, I didn't mind eating around them! Can't wait to order from here again.

I have been a regular at Arturo's for several years. Always tipped. Never had any issues. Tonight we ordered a pizza and something was really off about it. It was REALLY SOGGY. The dough didn't rise in the middle. Maybe it was under cooked? We couldn't tell. We contacted Seamless customer support to say, "Hey, something is wrong with this pizza? Would you like to see a photo?" Without asking us how we best wanted things resolved, they automatically gave us a refund. Okay, sounded fine. It wouldn't stop us from ordering again. THEN, the owner of Arturo's called my home phone number and began going off on me, saying that he cooked the pizza to perfection and that I was banned from ordered from there again. He didn't ask what went wrong. He didn't ask for a photo. He didn't say, "hey you've been ordered from us for years with no issue, maybe we can find another way?" The funny thing is: I didn't even ask for the refund! I just wanted to know why the pizza was so soggy and weird and if it was safe to eat! Thanks Arturo, you banned a regular customer because of your pride.

Arturo's Pizzeria you are truly awesome, I had a spectacular experience here yesterday. The menu is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. I like every single thing I have ordered here. Bonus that their service is so good, they are so fast and courteous. Would love to come back another time.

When I got my food it smelled a little funny. The funny part is this is my first time ordering from them I was surprised. I had order the ravioli with meatballs and spaghetti with meatballs then after I tasted the tomato sauce it looks like they had use a old one because it taste awful and made my stomach turned. I been to a lot of pizzeria but this one is not it at all. Tomato sauce was nasty pasta was a little hard as well meatball tasted like they microwave it. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN

I've been ordering from Arturo's Pizza for the last 4 weeks and totally recommend it!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why or how I didn't find this gem in the past, but the food is all so fresh and delicious. I just recently noticed that this place has been around forever, and I understand why. So good!

Don't EVER order from this trash establishment!!! I made an order through Uber Eats in which I made my special instructions VERY clear and yet I got an order which is NOT what I asked for! When I called to ask why, they all brushed it off and said "we can't do anything about it." They are unprofessional, refuse to correct mistakes, and rude! Don't waste your time!

Ordered from here late on a Tuesday night, son not during a busy time period. Despite only ordering 1 pepperoni pizza, our order took close to an hour and a half to arrive. The pizza itself was decent. The crust was undergone so I would definitely recommend asking for a crispy crust when ordering. The sauce was very sweet and the cheese was very salty which was not entirely unpleasant but also rather off-putting. Overall I'd say a quite average pizzeria.

This was the first and last time ordering from them. The pizza was ok, nothing to rave about but the chicken gyro was horrible! No flavor at all and was unnecessarily messy. Even the white sauce had no flavor and the pita bread was mushy. I'm extremely disappointed with my meal.

Arturo's has a great classic cheese pie. If you want a plain slice that you can fold in half on the cheap, this is a pretty good option. The problem, however, is that they constantly make mistakes. I've had multiple orders come where the pizza had been dropped and was stuck to the top of the lid (one of which they tried to blame me for...), orders where items were missing, and the icing on the cake tonight - a sandwich with a hair in it. It's just not worth it for the few orders that come prepared correctly. A bummer because when they get it right, the food is great.

I used to visit this pizza shop often but lately it's been so hard too. I understand they are busy, maybe too busy. They cannot get the orders right, deliveries take forever and the workers are always arguing with each other and the customers. This was the best pizza shop to go to while growing up as a kid. It's unfortunate they do not have the man power or the logical ability to handle mass production. Good food. Terrible service. Go in only if you have too.

Can you give zero stars? I used to like the guys that worked here but came in today and will never be back. Guy behind the counter was not only rude to his employees but was being a d*ck to the customers. Rude if they didn't order fast enough, condescending, but his comment to one customer is why I won't be back. Hispanic couple came in speaking Spanish to each other. The employee was annoyed by their Spanish but one of them ordered in English, so he said "Thank God you speak English. We need more people like you speaking English in this country." Someone called him out on that comment and he told them to just sit there and enjoy their pizza. He was puzzled that he got called out so he was rude AF to all the customers ordering + his employees. On top of all that the pizza and food itrash is convenient cause it's on the corner of 225 and broadway but I don't care about the convenience anymore won't be going back.

I placed an order via Uber eats and arrived to the establishment once my order was marked for pick up. I was immediately startled as I found the cook(manager) nor the helper were wearing masks. This was immediately troubling as we are in the middle of a pandemic. I ask for my order and they tell me it's not ready. The cook or manager tells me he's working on the order, I keep waiting. Ten minutes later he notifies me my pizza hasn't even been created. I express my discomfort as I've already waited long enough. This person then proceeds to say "well you can leave if you don't want to wait". This was extremely rude and something you do not ever want to say to your customers. I'm glad I was able to do this through Uber eats where I'm guaranteed a refund. Please do yourself an establishment and starve rather than give this place your money. They aren't sanitary at all and are extremely unpleasant with their customers. Restaurants have it tough and for this person to treat people who are giving him THEIR money is extremely unpleasant. I never tried their food but the ingredients they used and the treatment I got tells me all I need to know.

My boyfriend loves this place so I decided to give it a try. We both shared the Philly cheese steak sandwich and I also ordered a beef patty. The sandwich was absolutely HUMONGOUS. They filled it up with a lot of meat and enough cheese to have practically melting off the sandwich. The sandwich took a while but it's expected. No one wants an uncooked meal. We waited about 15 minutes in total. The beef patty came out quick and was really juicy, and again, filled up. Go to Manhattan and you'll get both for double the price with less portion. Overall, I really liked it here. There's not a wide selection of seating, but we did come here before the rush and found a table quickly. There's a lot of reviews about unfriendly service but I didn't witness that here. My boyfriend has been coming here for years and the owner was very friendly. Only problem is that they charged us twice, but when l noticed the mistake, they gave us back the overcharge in cash.

Ordered three mini pies with one topping each that I have ordered a hundred times before costing $6 a piece for a total of $18 dollars. I normally pick it up but I decided to have them delivered. The delivery guy came and handed me a receipt for $36. Double the price of the order. I called the restaurant to ask why it costs so much and the man on the phone was very rude because I was questioning the price and hung up in me. I have ordered from Arturo's Pizza for years I even recommended them to my company because I like the pizza. My children love the pizza but I will not be ordered from this place again and I will have my company follow suit. Horribly customer service.

Honestly the food is great , the pizza &' the chicken nuggets are really good i really recommend this place if you want a quick pizza or fries. they have very fast service time.

Why why why did I bother? Nothing worse than wasting money on bad food. The service wasn't bad we got our food within the time mentioned but omg my stomach still hurts from the odor. I love calamari but it shouldn't smell like it was just caught and not cleaned! I was trying to be optimistic and think okay, it smells but maybe it will taste good but it was bland. We ordered lasagna as well and the meat in it taste bad and nothing had flavor. The noodles were very mushy and just below average. I just wish I could get my money back. You guys have to do better..... Let me go spray my apartment lorddd.

The best thing this place does is a very basic pizza. Stay away from trying to design a vegetarian option. Stay away from all other items on the menu. I ordered a stromboli and the sausage sandwich last night and had to throw them both away after the first bite of rancid meat. Cheese pizza? Great. Pepperoni pizza? Great. Pizza knot? Great. Everything else, ick. Last year the board of health closed down the place but they were able to clean it enough to earn a "B" grade.

I gave it one star only because I couldn't give it zero. The food took well over 90 minutes but that was the least of the problem. One of the things I ordered needed edits due to dietary restrictions. I used CAPS and ** to notate this on the online form. Of course, the order showed up wrong...it happens. But when we called to ask for some assistance they yelled at us and told us "too bad, we're not doing anything, we're too busy." The rest of the food was good awful, from the pizza to the "vodka" sauce. Honestly, the worst food I have seen in years. From start to finish, the worst experience I have had on Delivery.com. Of course, Delivery.com themselves were excellent at customer service...canceling the order and giving us a gift card. STAY AWAY from Arturo's...bad food, bad people!!

Wandered in on a recommendation from neighbors. The place is pretty dingy: points off for the fly that was hanging out on a pile of garlic knots and the small cockroach that wandered across the floor of the back room. On the other hand, the guy at the register was pretty careful about actually not handling money with the hand that had the glove on it, so they appear to at least somewhat care about cleanliness and food safety and so on. My partner got two big slices of pizza loaded with toppings and we noshed on them while we waited for my lasagna. Eventually we were called up to the counter to receive one of those round metal take-out tins FULL of lasagna and sauce and mozzarella. "How much was that?" my partner asked wonderingly. "Nine dollars," I said, my mouth already full. We agreed that it could easily be two people's dinner. It was difficult to navigate the oceans of sauce and slippery noodles and crumbly meat and gooey cheese with the little plastic fork and knife. After managing to eat about 10% of the lasagna, we got a plastic lid for the tin and took it home. I opened it up... and the lasagna had expanded to fill the space available. You totally could not tell that some of it had already been consumed. The sauce and cheese just flowed in to fill the gap. The lasagna seemed to stare up at me, perhaps defiant of my ridiculous expectation that food once eaten would stay eaten, perhaps pondering its plans to take over the world. I have now, at my best guess, eaten 30% of the lasagna's original mass. The rest goes into the fridge to be tomorrow's lunch for both of us. I fully expect it to grow back overnight: the Chicken Little of lasagnas. We have to be sure to consume it entirely tomorrow. I am tempted to leave behind just enough to regenerate--who wouldn't want to eat their lasagna and have it too?--but I realize that in truth we are the only ones standing between the lasagna and its scheme to become a non-Euclidean, galaxy-spanning mass of garlicky tastiness. Let it not be said that I shirked my responsibilities to humankind.

Ordered my food, waited for 20 mins patiently, not tryna be a jerk about how long it's taking. Finally had enough, get up and ask if they forgot about me. That's exactly what happened. Poor poor customer service and it's dirty inside as well.

Inexpensive, delicious pizza delivered piping hot to Inwood. I love this pie. I spent months looking for a good pie delivery in Inwood, and I was either disappointed in the pizza (Pizza Haven) or dissatisfied with the price & staff (Grandpa's). Arturo's pizza is pretty much what I think good pizza should be: thin but not crispy crust, good sauce and loads of cheese. Every time we put in an order, the pizza shows up too hot to eat in less than half an hour... plus they'll give you a free two liter soda with two pies and free zeppole with an order over $30. If you dig white pie, their's is the best I've had in a while. On the down side, the place is not great to go and sit down to eat in... but hey, they deliver!

Shortly after the delivery man left I realized they forgot my soda. I quickly called and the man on the food was not at all helpful and quite rude at that. He told me to call seamless to get my money back because they weren't going to make another trip for just one soda. Talk about NO customer service skills. Anyway, the food was good but idk if I want to deal with nasty attitudes again.
