The work everyone puts in for Blink to come together for Cincinnati is so impressive. I applaud all your hard work! What an experience, what fun and what memories were built with this. Thank you for bringing this to life in our city! 💖

We had a great walking tour in Downtown Cincy today. We enjoyed hearing about the artists, process, history, and more of the ArtWorks murals. The group was pleasant and had good questions and insights.

Cincinnati has so many beautiful murals, I am always stunned to see in person. The Neil Armstrong mural is located at 511 Walnut Street downtown.

Who is the largest employer of visual artists in the area? ArtWorks, an NPO, that's who. Specializing in public art/mural work and hiring talented youths for work. Super friendly desk staff. On corner of E. Central Prkwy & Jackson Street.

ArtWorks is an amazing organization! The thoughtful gift of art to the community is amazing, but what is most impressive are the life lessons each participating apprentice takes home. This group brings amazing things to Cincinnati!

Google
Artworks...where it happens for Cincinnati. I love the fact that we are making it an Artist Haven. We need more structural art... that's what's up!!!! 👆

Yelp
One of my favorite things to do in Cincinnati, particularly on a beautiful day, is to walk around downtown and enjoy the murals. There are so many and each one is different. I noticed that many have been attributed to Artworks, which is an organization I'm not that familiar with. However, the murals I have seen add so much value to downtown and really make Cincinnati feel like a cosmopolitan city - one that celebrates its diversity and art. I'm all for it. Thank you, ArtWorks!

Yelp
i was having shoulder surgery and wanted to get out and have fun my last day before this painful journey. i type this review with one arm in a sling  ... i chose to spend the day in Cinci.  i love playing with my camera and walking about. my husband who known me well after 23 yrs knew getting out would get my mind off my fear.       i had commented several times id like to send the day exploring cincis murals and thats what we did. we looked up a mural map and parked ... walked about. our own self guided tour. we didnt see them all .. just small potion. it was hot and humid but really fun.        this was one we found and i tried to pic the plaques to keep track of what we needed to find next time.  cinci has amazing murals!

Yelp
One of the best things to EVER happen to Cincinnati. Artworks has done hundreds of mural projects, hired thousands of artists and apprentices and thrown some of the most visually captivating events in the city. So much creativity goes into events like Secret Artist art auction and the Blink Festival, I'm so impressed with the community engagement and neighborhood beautification and collaboration projects. Every single person I have met personally on staff has been down to earth and easy to work with. I don't have one. single. thing bad to say about them. Artworks has really shown the arts are an integral part of our sensory experience and without them things would be a whole lot grayer. Whatever you can do to support their mission in any capacity....do it! Nor so humbly submitted, Michael C.

Yelp
Have you noticed new murals popping up around town? Those are some of the beautiful projects contributed by the non-profit organization, Artworks. Since 1996, Artworks has employed 2,350 Cincinnati youths and 480 professional artists to create over 200 public works of art throughout Greater Cincinnnati. There are currently 46 murals in 28 neighborhoods around the city. Fifteen new murals were just painted in Summer 2011. I was fortunate enough to partake on a tour of the city's murals with Colleen, the Director of Programs for Artworks. We piled into my friend's van as Colleen guided us around the city, pointing out murals and describing the details and vision behind each. Murals ranged from vibrant and colorful, to subtle, to bold and vintage, and some even showed a progression of a story. The majority of the murals I pass by regularly and wonder, "Where'd that come from?" Until yesterday, I had no idea how prominent Artworks' projects were in the community! Downtown, there is a mural every couple of blocks. They've even expanded over to Northern Kentucky. Our driving tour with Colleen took two hours. While not everyone can have a personal guide, maps of all the murals are available at Artworks. It would be a great afternoon adventure to scout out all the Downtown creations. Check out the locations of all the murals on Google Maps too! http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=207266536287389959124.0004a792ea36847b51433&msa=0 Want a mural in your neighborhood? Download this form to apply: http://www.artworkscincinnati.org/muralworks/index.shtml Upon city approval, murals usually take 6-8 months to complete, from idea conception to the final brush stroke.

Yelp
Was able to go on a walking mural tour of some of the murals in downtown Cincinnati. Every summer they choose students to work on murals. They are beautiful! Each one has a story and I learned so much about Cincinnati ! What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. They do have maps so you can do your own your or, if you are lucky like our group was, you can go on a tour conducted by them. What a treasure to our city!
