Austin’s New Restaurant & Bar Openings - Austin - The Infatuation

"Austin hasn’t had a lot of Yemeni coffee spots, but Arwa is changing that, one shop at a time. They recently opened in Cedar Park, with a second location in Mueller planned for later this year. In addition to Yemeni lattes and chais, expect to find things like palm date matchas, pistachio cakes, and honeycomb bread." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

If you’re in the mood for something warm and comforting, or if you’re looking to unwind with family or friends, or just want to feel a little pampered, you’ve come to the right place! . Arwa Yemeni coffee has it all. We popped in around 9 PM, and the place was alive with laughter and twinkling lights. The outdoor arena is a lovely spot for a relaxed evening with your loved ones. Come on down and experience it for yourself, walk out feeling good, relaxed, and stress-free. We tried the Signature pot, Yemeni latte, red tea, Kunfa, and cake. It’s a fantastic addition to Cedar Park and a great place to spend quality time with friends and family. Ample parking space, spacious interiors are very welcoming.

Absolutely loved my visit to Arwa Yemeni Cafe on Palmer! The Yadeni chai was simply amazing—fragrant, perfectly brewed, and full of warmth. The honeycomb breads and biscuits were delicious, with the perfect touch of sesame and sweetness. The cozy and inviting ambiance makes this a wonderful spot for an afternoon chat with friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere!

Google
This was different. I was looking for a good coffee and quite literally stumbled past this coffee shop. Most of the staff seem to be from Yemen, which is cool, but the atmosphere was very traditional Yemen styled. They’ve got a lot of traditional coffees and several from Yemen as well. Lots of snacks and danishes and the staff was super friendly. I got the Yemeni latte and my wife got a regular latte. Mine even came with a camel on it. The flavor was good and better than most in Austin. Would definitely go again!

Google
Arwa Coffee in Austin is a true hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing, studying, or catching up with friends. Their Adeni tea is rich, smooth, and full of flavor—every sip feels crafted with care. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. From the quality of the drinks to the cozy ambiance, everything here is top-notch. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in Austin!

Google
The coffee place that I experienced in Dallas Area is now here near Cedar Park-Leander. It is good to have this place to go anytime till 10 pm. Their coffee is good, location is good, inside is so nice and clean. Only issue that I have experience last my two visits is service when you ordering. It is same issue with other location as well. When you want to order, the person is expecting us to know everything perfectly and make us to order quickly with no or less smiling and making me feel guilty whit their behavior. I wish I feel a valuable customer(Hope one day). No need to be punished with my own money!!! Other than that, so good place to have coffee and get network or hangout with your friends or family!!!

Google
Arwa Yemeni Coffee ☕️ is such a gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Coffee is consistently rich and flavorful, and they offer a variety of drinks to choose from. The pastries are fresh and pair perfectly with the lattes. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I need a good cup of coffee and a calm place to unwind.

Google
Came here with a friend for the first time and was really surprised by how nice and clean the place is. Tried the Yemeni coffee pot — super aromatic and delicious! Also had the potato-filled bun, which was fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back to try more from their menu!

Google
I absolutely love this place! Finally, we have a decent coffee shop that offers both a great atmosphere and quality coffee. The modern Arabic decor creates a nice vibe, and they have a variety of drinks and desserts on the menu. The seats are comfortable, making it a perfect spot for gathering. I will definitely come back soon!

Yelp
the biscoff latte is probably the best biscoff latte i've ever had; it perfectly embodies the cookie's flavor need to come back to try the matchas it's just expensive and a tad out of the way, but i love the cleanliness and vibe of this cafe

Yelp
Met a few friends here for coffee. The cafe is beautifully decorated with multiple spots for instagrammable pics. Lots of options to try traditional coffee/tea as well as lattes. A good mix of traditional and fusion pastries too.

Yelp
Love this new neighborhood coffee shop! Spacious, clean, well decorated with ample tables and charging points for remote workers. Excellent spot to work, socialize, or enjoy some solo time. Service is always top notch - the staff is very helpful, patient and kind. I've tried a few coffee and tea options from their menu. Love the latte art! Several items run sweet, including their traditional Adeni chai. If you don't like sweet drinks make sure to ask the staff for a recommendation.

Yelp
July 24, 2025 review ---- We tried this place around 9pm on Thursday evening and there were couple of table occupied. We got the honey comb based on staff suggestion(most famous dessert) and she explained it quite well. This place is new (just 2-3 months old) and I already see the parking lot getting full on weekends. We liked the interior, they have tried to get a lot of look similar to middle eastern place with modern touch. About the actual dessert - it was ok, nothing out of world but not bad either. Portion size is good enough to share between two. I'm thinking to try their coffee or tea next time.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! A friend recommended this place and said that it was "very nice". She wasn't wrong! I have never been to Yemen but the coffee shop definitely has a difference ambiance that I imagine is what a coffee shop in Yemen might look and feel like. The style is very gorgeous, sleek and very decorative. It was my first time trying out Yemeni coffee and the baristas were very helpful in walking us through the menu. They also have a variety of baked goods available such as the honeycombs. I ordered one of their signature drinks. It took a little longer than expected but it was worth it! Not only was the coffee delicious- the flavor to me was very earth and nutty, but it was a beautifully designed with a camel on the top. Overall, this place was very cute and the coffee was tasty. I'd like to go back and try the different flavors that they have.

Yelp
Theres something so inviting about this coffee place - this is already my 3rd visit to this newly opened coffee/tea spot ! Staff is very friendly and they know the menu ingredients well. Super helpful when it comes to avoiding allergens. It's a great quiet and neat place to relax and work /study . Some outdoor seating too. Menu tips: Their specialty Adeni chai (tea) is pre-made , so can't customize with milk alternatives or sugar levels (bit sweeter for my taste). Just go with it as-is, Pair it with their low sweet tea or apricot cookies and you won't regret:) Cons: $1 for alt milk !

Yelp
Came here for tea and coffee and we loved it!! We got a sampler and some of their honey buns which were so delicious!! I also got a latte which was so yummy. I do wish they had more non diary or lactose free options though!! The interior is so beautiful and perfect for pictures!! They do blast the ac though so we were freezing!!

Yelp
Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: 100/5 Amazing ambience and clearly Instagram worthy place. Helpful staff. They guided us through all the menu and sweetness levels. We ordered Dubai chocolate, Mosaic chocolate cake and couple of coffees. Sand dune coffee half sweet is recommended. You'll need a big coffee with mosaic cake. Slightly dry but staff recommended and they know their stuff. Overall amazing place for a quick beverage and calm down place.

Yelp
This place came out so nice!! Very clean from the moment you walk in, great music on the speakers, WiFi to work, comfortable seating, and great lighting. The service was great. They just opened so I'm sure that comes with some nerves but the baristas were so sweet and helpful in explaining the menu. They also worked on our drinks pretty quick along with everyone else before and after us who ordered. The drinks were amazing! The mofawer had so much flavor. If you don't like spice get something else or you may not like your drink. I believe it was cardamom and it's not overly sweet, just how a latte should be. The pistachio oatmilk latte was soooo good! This one was a bit sweeter but not too much where you feel like you're going to get a cavity. The pistachio syrup/drizzle that they make is so tasty, please be sure to stir it well to enjoy it fully. The pour over was so tasty. The beans they use are high quality because the pour over was smooth and light, not too fruity but you definitely get a hint of sweetness at the end. I drank mine black so take that as you will. Overall, Arwa is a top quality spot and we'll def be back to try the matcha lattes.

Yelp
New coffee place between Austin and Cedar Park. Inside, it has a clean, white, glossy, bright décor. There are plenty of tables to sit back and relax and enjoy your drink or pastries. There is no music playing, so you can study here or do some work as long as you aren't being loud. Depending on the drinks you are getting, it can take a bit, but they just opened, so they are still getting used to it. Everyone got their order before me, even people after me. The only negative thing is that they charge 50 cents more for iced drinks, which isn't reflected on the menu. Not much, but it would be nice to know that you are getting charged for ice now. I got the Sand Dune Latte. The spices make it interesting in a good way, kind of sweet and not too spicy. I would definitely come back to try other things.

Yelp
Ambiance is modern, bright and clean. You order at the front and they call out your number. If you have a baby or kids, they are kind enough to bring it to you if it's not too busy . The Adeni tea was really good - loved the spices and hint of sugar. It was not overly sweet which is perfect for me. I also tried the lentil twisted bread for the first time and really liked the flavor.

Yelp
Great service by the staff and the atmosphere is amazing as the interior looks like the inside of a cafe in Sanaa. I ordered their Saanani coffee with cardamom and it was the first time I had coffee with an exotic spice and it really brought out the flavor. Next came the Sand Dune latte and what a wonderful and tasty treat for the ride home. I bought a bag of Yemeni coffee and I have to admit it is supremely flavorful with low acidity and well worth the price ($25).

Yelp
Excellent service. Cute place! So happy to have stumbled upon this lovely gem. I wish their food options were a bit more varied.

Yelp
Treats are very sweet and their Sand Dune Latte is way too sweet! We like the Yemeni latte a lot better, the coffee beans taste stands put more than syrupy sugar on the other drink. The Dubai cheesecake was meh, tbh. Got a Dubai chocolate bar for to go. I hope it's good and authentic. Drinks run about $7 a cup. Dubai chocolate is $10 and treats are around $7 too.

Yelp
Service, atmosphere, and the coffee and dessert were great. The taste of the coffee was smooth and tons of flavor. The latte was rich in flavor and every sip was better than the last one. Definitely will be back!

E F.

Yelp
You have such amazing coffee bean quality ; Please please be consistent in the preparation of the latte so I don't have to take it home and remake it. I spend $200 a month in your store and I will continue to come and you need to do your part consistently. No short cuts.

Yelp
It's a lovely place. It's a great addition to the Cedar Park/Leander locals. The drinks are good, and there are many pastry options. Service is nice and quick. The sitting area is spacious and a good spot to study or hang out. Highly recommend for the locals and visitors.

Yelp
The place is well decorated and the staff very polite. Strawberry matcha tea is what I ordered, the only downside is they do not have Half and Half cream that would make this drink top tier.

Pamela V.

Yelp
First time going so we tried the sampler with treats. Best way to go to see what you like. Coffee, tea and treats were amazing. Love the atmosphere. Will go again

Yelp
Me and two other friends decided to meet up here and to try out this coffee shop, as you walk in, place looks spacious bright and clean, girls behind the counter are friendly and welcoming. I got iced pistachio latte, friend got Yemeni latte and honeycomb bread, and another friend got Mofawer. My pistachio latte was just okay, it was too heavy with pistachio flavor, and couldn't taste any coffee at all, and it too expensive, a medium sized latte was $10ish with tips and tax. My friend who got Yemeni latte felt, it was good, but not worth the price, bread was soft and moist but the cheese was too strong and too much, so she ended up scraping some cheese off. Friend who got Mofawer felt same, it's okay but not worth the price. And while we were sitting there, someone started cleaning the place, it was still after noon, I understand that hygiene is important, but the product they were using had so so strong ammonia smell, it was unpleasant to drink coffee, with the smell, overall we won't be back, but I think this place is something you have to try to decide if you like it or not, so I say give it a try.

Yelp
Drinks are great, staff is great, ambiance is great! My go to is the iced pistachio latte with oat milk.

Yelp
Delicious and beautiful inside but ridiculously expensive! Almost $10 matcha. Is this the going rate?
