Great creative coworking space with a beautiful community of artsy people who believe in using our already given resources for the better. They have regular pop up events and a variety of interesting workshops as well as cool repurposed items on sale. Perfect place to take great Instagram pictures too!

This space is big! I find it amazing that you can rent out the place to host events. Sarah, the founder, is very nice, personable, and informative. She also provides a list of additional services if you need them: decoration, drinks, food, photographer, etc. Although I haven't rented out the space myself, I did visit to attend a soy candle-making class. It's great that this space creates a community for locals to gather, and to rent at an affordable price.

I organize events and I was introduced to As We Dwell by a friend. WOW! Sarah, the Founder, is an absolute pleasure to work with, the space is amazing, and so different from your typical coworking space. My event went really well: people loved the location, and there is even free parking on the street or fairly low cost parking lots all around. Highly recommended, not just because of the space, but also because Sarah and her team are committed to building community, and to supporting small and local businesses.

I came here for a couple of events and I loved it! It was such an adorable, aesthetically pleasing space and I love the energy and the warmth of the place. Parking is incredibly easy as well, and it's right in the heart of the Arts district. I enjoyed each of the times I've been here and would highly recommend the space to any and all creatives looking to collaborate with others or a space to rent out for your event!! Come here!

Google
As We Dwell is a beautiful coworking and event space. You can feel the love created in every corner. Sarah and her husband created this space by hand, and you can feel the love in every corner. It's also located in the DTLA arts district. I'm a Business and Career Coach for women of color and allies, and I am proud to host my events here, while supporting a fellow woman of color.

Google
Being a huge mural and art admirer. I was devastated to see Sarah, owner of As We Dwell, painted over the magnificent mural of Prince that artist Cobre created earlier in 2019. Sarah never paid him and agreed to maintain the mural in exchange.. This is the Arts District where artists live and work. There is an ethic and Sarah does not share in that ethic.

I’m blown away by this space and it’s founder, Sarah. Both are beautiful and down-to-earth. Had my wedding here and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. They even have free street parking, which is unheard of in DTLA. Highly highly recommend.

Sarah the storeowner was so helpful and nice! This place is really adorable and filled with a great range of furniture and decorations. I left with 3 amazing plants and plant holders. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I would most definitely not recommend this place! I've tried to call multiple times (also left voicemails), I've sent emails and tired to reach them on Instagram and no one ever answered. They post often on Instagram saying "book your next party with us". Why even post that if you're never going to answer to potential costumers. Very unprofessional! I was really looking into having my wedding here but I'll just take my money else where

Yelp
Venue: 5 Stars (Each area is well thought-out. Love the cozy and creative decor!) Owners: 5 Stars (Sarah is probably the most communicative, thorough, and friendly owner we've ever had the privilege of meeting. Thank you for everything and being so gracious and generous!) Pricing: 5 Stars (Super competitive! Honestly you'll be hard-pressed to find this type of venue with her pricing.) Parking: Ample parking around the space, as well as a $5 parking lot right next door!) Overall: I would put AWD on the top of your list as a venue for any and all types of events. She's actually a wonderful event coordinator, as well, so definitely talk to her about that. It's also a co-working space! If I lived closer, I'd definitely take a spot.

Yelp
Held my daughters Quincenera Sarah and Jason were awesome. Beautiful venue, place looks smaller then it really is. If you want that old Los Angeles feel, in a beautiful old building then this is the venue!

Yelp
Where to begin! Sarah and Jason are heaven-sent. As a grassroots community, they've opened up their doors and hearts to us and our mission. Extremely friendly and generous, these hosts are easy to work with and people we'll continue working with no doubt! We've hosted multiple 20-person workshops and a large, 100-person, social event thus far. For both types of events, As We Dwell's layout was perfect. Beautiful lighting, versatile space, A/V hookups, two bathrooms, and sufficient parking - all making the life of an events-based group so much easier. Besides the basics, the touch of the interior decor and energy of the people (and their missions) who dwell all add to the magic of hosting an event there. From beginning to end, working with As We Dwell is a delightfully grounded experience.

Yelp
As We Dwell hosted a free, terrific Valentine's Day event on 2/8/20: Love Letters Craft Fest. Typewriters galore to type your own letter or you can rent one. Lots of unique gifts! Most of the vendors were splendidly dressed in dapper three-piece suits and gorgeous, flowing 50's dresses with rockabilly hairdos. Rubber stamps sold individually or in a set. Ice cream sandwiches sold by a fella who looked like he was from Leave It to Beaver in his white pinstripe suit and matching quartet hat. Poems, drawings, cards, stationary, soap, jewelry, and mini telegrams all for sale. Outside had a lot of photo opportunities with 5-foot standing LOVE sign, artwork on the walls, and a man with free haikus. There was a food truck that had vegan options: Asian fusion food. I had a ball and can't wait to go again!

Yelp
This place is amazing! Very artsy co-working space. You could also rent the space for weddings or birthdays! Co-working space Daily: fast Wi-Fi, free coffee, free tea, open space and lots of good eats for lunch break. Annnd close to Brewery for happy hour.

Yelp
I work one block away and see As We Dwell daily. Sarah buffed (painted over) the magnificent portrait of Prince that artist Cobre painted in mid 2019. Artist Cobre spent one week painting it. Ask Sarah what she paid him!!! Artists can't be used like this. Artists need to be paid and their art needs to be respected. Being in the DTLA Arts District, artist want to be seen and often work for exposure so be respectful and communicate and keep their art up.

Yelp
A truly beautiful space to hold an event. I've held three events here over the past year and half (a dinner, think-tank and video shoot). Each time, I've enjoyed my experience working with the owner, Sarah. The space is constantly changing and evolving, with new art and new furniture rotating every few weeks or months. It gives the space a fun, living vibe! Plus. it's right in the middle of the vibrant DTLA Arts District, which continues to grow and evolve itself. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to rent space in the local area.

Yelp
This space is so amazing! It reminds me of the creativity rooms at Google's headquarters where folks enter to get inspired and come up with new ideas. There's something for everyone here, ranging from individual workstations to long benches to sofas with fuzzy pillows and more! It's in the arts district of downtown and parking is quite convenient too. I've been to a couple of entrepreneurial meetings here so far and really enjoy the space. Think wework but in a much more unique way!

Yelp
I love this venue! It's so artsy and quaint. I love all the succulent plants and how peaceful it feels inside. I always have a great time at any event hosted by As We Dwell. Theres so much space to use and every wall is different. The interior decorating brings the whole space together in a homie way.

Michelle Y.

Yelp
I'm floored by the beauty of this venue and its owners, Sarah and Jason. I had the privilege of having my wedding here and couldn't have asked for a better coordinator (Sarah) who was so accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure my day was spectacular. This space is seriously so special and I know that it will be packed out soon so if you're looking for a place to host your wedding or event, I highly recommend this place. Thank you, As We Dwell!

Yelp
We held a networking event here and everyone was so complimentary of the space and vibe. Sarah and Jason were incredible hosts - giving us great ideas for our event and supporting us to make sure it went off without issue. Would 100% book with them again!

Yelp
As We Dwell is an amazing artist community/co-working and event space located in the heart of the Arts District. I use the space frequently and always have a wonderful experience. They have reasonable prices and Sarah, the owner, is pretty much the friendliest person I've ever met. The space has a vintage aesthetic and also sells some art, vintage items, and adorable succulents. They always seem to be having another artist displaying work or hosting an event that is open to the surrounding community. I definitely recommend this space to rent, host events or photoshoots, or just to stop by for a visit.

Yelp
This place was great! Not only was the interior decor relaxing, but the people were friendly and accomodating and the work area was nicely set up next to all outlets and spacey. :) The internet being fast is also a huge plus! I'd reccomend this place for rentable workspaces.
