Yelp
Mexican food in North Las Vegas is definitely plentiful, so looking for a place that has good food and good prices is hard to come by.
My husband and I stumbled across this on our way home to find that it was only a quick 3 minute trip.
The first time we went the restaurant was completely empty, but don't let is stray you away.
Here is what we ordered:
1. Carne Asada Enchiladas- this was good! The meat was okay, but the sauce was amazing. Honestly though the rice and beans were great sides and made it more enjoyable.
2. Birria Tacos Combo- this comes with the consomé and was truly the best. The meat was flavorful and juicy. The tacos were amazing I could eat them all day.
3. Tacos (various meats)
-Carne Asada: good meat. good flavor.
-Al Pastor- i love the pineapple flavor popping through
-Chicken- plain meat, a bit dry, but salsa helps it.
-Beef Lengua- great bite, a bit salty on the first few bites
-Birria- as stated above its a great meat. If you order outside of the combo, it does not include the consomé, but the meat was FIRE on its own.
So the reason for the 3 star and not 5 star review. We have been here about 5 times. Mainly for taco tuesday. The typical taco cost about 2 to 2.50 maybe 3 depending on meat. On taco Tuesday all cost $1 except the birria with cheese.
I brought my family and my in laws (who are Jewish) I ordered from here because they pack tacos together by meat.
We ordered 30 tacos, 16 Carne Asada, 2 chicken, 4 lengua, 4 birria with cheese, and 4 al pastor.
Unfortunately we got 20 Al Pastor tacos, and my family was on the way to the airport and sat down to find this mistake. My Jewish in-laws could not eat any of it since they don't eat pork OR cheese with meat. So unfortunately they could only share the 2 chicken tacos...and left pretty upset.
We were in such a rush, and we should've checked but with such a large order I put my faith in the place and it failed me.
We have yet to come back, but were hoping to give it another go.
Just be cautious when calling in the order AND when taking it to go.
