We visited Epeleta and were quite disappointed. We initially wanted to try the chuletón, but at nearly 100€, it was out of our budget (73€ +10%*1,25 kg min).
Prices are not included VAT!!!!
Instead, we ordered:
• Morcilla de verdura: 2 portions, overly vinegary and unpleasant, left a bad taste until evening.
• Solomillo de vaca: Delicious and well-cooked, the highlight of our meal.
• Alubias de Tolosa: Average, not particularly memorable.
• Servicio de pan: Shockingly, we were charged 1.40€ per bread service even if we didn’t eat the bread.
The service was mediocre, with waitstaff having stone-faced expressions. Overall, we spent over 60€, which felt overpriced given the quality of the food. Surprised to pay for bread in such a pricey restaurant – usually complimentary.
At least the toilets were free 🤣🤣🤣.
Not recommended for those expecting high quality for the high price.
