ASAI Bangkok Chinatown (Bangkok, Central Thailand) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Right in the thick of Bangkok’s Chinatown, ASAI puts you steps from Yaowarat’s neon-lit food stalls, hidden cocktail bars, and centuries-old shrines. The rooms are smartly designed, with thoughtful details and quality finishes. Downstairs, the open-plan lobby, bar and courtyard double as a social hub, often hosting live music, workshops and local events. You’re steps from street food stalls, speakeasies, and hidden temples, and the hotel’s in-the-know team is ready to point you toward the best of it. It’s casual, well-placed, and full of local color." - Tablet Hotels

ASAI Bangkok Chinatown | Best places to stay in Bangkok

"Staying in Bangkok’s Chinatown has its perks: you can stumble into bed after late-night eats at its neon-lit night market or be the first to sample fresh patongko (Chinese crullers) and congee right after sunrise. The downside, however, is the cacophony of tuk-tuks, street vendors and temple bells this district is infamous for. ASAI Bangkok Chinatown, a hyper-smart design hotel that walks the line between ‘business’ and ‘boutique’, offers a fine compromise. Its location, a five-minute stroll from the district’s noisy main drag, puts you close to Chinatown’s highlights, but far enough to have them out of earshot at bedtime. With a restaurant frequently hosting Bangkok’s hot-shot chefs for kitchen takeovers, clued-in staff and a shop selling local design products, this is a great place to discover Chinatown beyond its tropes. ASAI Bangkok Chinatown was a really great hotel right in the centre of Chinatown. The facilities were very good, and the room was clean. I really liked the aesthetic with the wood. It is a large hotel with a nice brunch area and reception, and I also appreciated having access to a small gym. The only downside was that the room felt a bit too dark at night, as it lacked some lighting. The bathroom could also use better light for makeup. These are small things though, and overall I had a great stay and would happily give it 5 stars.

Very varied selection for breakfast! The chicken toast was so good. Clean rooms and not loud so very easy to fall asleep. I love the proximity to everything. Mall is attached. 7-eleven downstairs! Only confusion I had was locating the hotel entrance. You enter from the side and take the elevator to the fourth floor. A very good place to stay in Bangkok.

Hotel is near MRT station in Chinatown. There are 7-11, Starbucks, Watsons, plenty of restaurants, street food, massage spa, cafe….etc surroundings. Also, it’s walkable to explore this area and visit the river side. Staffs are friendly with smiles. Comfy room. Good value for the money. But it seems the wall is not soundproof enough. I was lucky since my neighbors were not noisy. I will be pleased to stay here again.

Exceptional Stay at This Gem! My recent 3-night stay here was nothing short of perfect—this hotel truly sets the bar for hospitality. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff greeted me with warm smiles and checked me in in under 2 minutes, even offering a complimentary welcome drink that tasted fantastic. The room exceeded my expectations: it was spotlessly clean, with crisp linens that made the bed feel like a cloud, and the soundproofing was impressive—no street noise disturbed my sleep at all. The location is a huge plus too, just a 5-minute walk to the main shopping street and subway station, making it super easy to explore the city. Every staff member I interacted with, from the restaurant servers to the housekeepers, was attentive and went out of their way to help. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of fresh options, from pastries to hot dishes, and the coffee was rich and flavorful. I’ll definitely book this hotel again on my next trip and recommend it to all my friends! 需要我根据特定酒店类型(如商务酒店、度假酒店)调整这段好评的侧重点吗?比如增加商务设施或度假体验的细节。

We stayed 3nights at ASAI Chinatown in a triple room with a single bed and a bunk bed. The room was perfectly adequate overall. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows could be improved. The writing table was rather small, and only chair was provided in the rook. The universal power sockets were very convenient. The bathroom had good water pressure. However, there was a mild unpleasant odour. Besides, the water tend to overflow from the shower area. A few maintenance issues were also noted such as the sliding door which was difficult to slide open. Check-in experience was below expectations. The staff was not helpful and quite rude. queried the booking name despite confirmation being shown, it was definitely a poor first impression. Housekeeping missed the upper bunk on one day. The location is excellent for exploring Chinatown, with Wat Mangkon MRT nearby. Overall, a reasonable stay in a convenient location, though with room for improvement.

The Asai Bangkok is a microcosm for Thailand: excellent value offerings marred by extraordinarily poor English. The Asai is in the very heart of Bangkok Chinatown, a block from the MRT, two blocks from Yaowarat. Our room has a brilliant ceiling to windows, relatively chic decoration, nice enough linens. The BIG problem? The staff of the hotel can barely speak the lingua franca of tourism: English. A guest comes and asks the receptionist if they can set up tours of the royal palace, the receptionist says yes, they can offer trips to the airport. I ask for some artificial sugar and milk, and get brought brown sugar. The poor English is doubled by a rude and bored attitude. Really shocking service at this hotel, minimal sense of hospitality. English training will fix this. The LITTLE problem is that the HVAC systems in the elevator lobbies of (at least) the 7th and 8th needs to be cleaned, they smell vile/bacterial/unclean.

My stay at the ASAI Chinatown hotel was a mix of positive and frustrating experiences. The location is a bit removed from central Bangkok, but it's a paradise for food lovers. The surrounding street food is outstanding, with authentic homemade noodles and incredibly fresh, reasonably priced crab. I'd advise skipping the larger Chinese-run restaurants, as I found them less welcoming to solo travelers.||||The hotel itself is clean and modern. However, the housekeeping was inconsistent; it took three requests over two days to finally receive face towels (though they then provided four!). The reception staff were generally helpful, but my request for a late checkout was firmly refused, forcing me to leave my luggage.||||My departure was particularly stressful. With only one staff member at the desk, the front office manager was occupied on a personal phone call. I had to wait an unnecessarily long time before she attended to me. After retrieving my bags, I had to rush to catch my flight.||||Verdict: For a short trip to Bangkok, I believe you can find better accommodations in more central areas like Siam, Silom, or Sukhumvit. It's not a bad hotel, but the service hiccups make it just "okay" for me.

We had an amazing experience staying at ASAI Bangkok! The hotel has a super cool and modern vibe — clean rooms, stylish design, and a very comfortable atmosphere. The location is perfect, with great food and interesting places to explore just steps away. A special thank you to Noon at the front desk for her warm hospitality. We arrived earlier than expected and she kindly arranged an early check-in for us, which made a huge difference after a long trip. Her friendliness and professionalism really stood out and made us feel welcome right away. Overall, excellent value for money — great rooms, great service, and a great vibe. Highly recommend staying here and we would definitely come back again!
