Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort Breathes Luxurious New Life into Legacy

"Built directly into the expansive lava field, this sumptuous sanctuary uses volcanic rock as both sculpture and landscape; treatment rooms and lounges spill out to panoramic views of Hualalai, and every detail is tuned to amplify the land’s mana and restorative energy." - Alessandra Codinha

Rosewood Mandarina Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"Transcendence feels guaranteed thanks to body treatments guided by a Wixárika shaman’s plant-medicine wisdom. A tobacco-oil massage leaves my skin buzzing with life, while a peyote massage—yes, the same peyote—melts inflammation and calms everything down, echoing its traditional use for cuts and snake bites." - Kelly Martin

I think that the facilities are great they are new and clean the sauna steam room are also great the Jacuzzi is also great. Everything is absolutely amazing, but I will say my massager was amazing but the second person got massage. Their massages wasn’t as great and it was worth it, but I definitely think it’s worth only a one time but still very nice and luxurious all through the spa it smelled amazing.

I had an amazing time here! It is located perfectly around the back where it’s peaceful and quiet. I was greeted with a warm smile and hello by their spa concierges. They offered me water, tea or sparkling wine before entering the locker room. I chose tea to start my relaxation time and since my 90 minute deep tissue massage was at 8am on that Black Friday morning! :D It was busier than I had anticipated so I was only able to enjoy the steam room all by myself. The massage was incredible! Sandra, my therapist was attentive and highly skilled. She also helped me find the lounge area where I was supposed to meet her. Thank you Sandra for taking such good care of me! I can’t wait to return.

Spa Birthday Treat - Disappointing and Overpriced I recently treated my husband to a birthday spa day, hoping for a luxurious and relaxing experience, especially given the hefty $800 price tag. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of expectations, leaving us both feeling underwhelmed and frankly, ripped off. From the moment we arrived, the environment felt unwelcoming and lacked any vibrancy. It certainly didn't exude the serene and pampering atmosphere one would anticipate from a high-end spa. A major concern was the lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms. Both the one in our couple's massage room and the changing room were noticeably unclean, which is simply unacceptable when paying such a premium. When you're spending $800, you expect immaculate facilities. The 90-minute massage itself was a significant disappointment. My husband was particularly dissatisfied, feeling that the masseuse provided no more than 60 minutes of actual massage, with the remaining time seemingly unproductive. For such a long and expensive session, this is incredibly poor value. Overall, this spa experience was overrated and not worth the exorbitant $800. We went in expecting a special and memorable birthday treat, but instead, we left feeling like we'd paid a fortune for a very mediocre and unhygienic experience. I would not recommend this spa.

Sense is an ultra-luxurious, peaceful, and gorgeous spa located in the Rosewood Sand resort. Surrounded by picturesque mountain views, this spa is the perfect location to spend a day pampering yourself or celebrating a special occasion. Most recently, I enjoyed a spa day, a birthday gift from my husband. For a Monday, it was an incredibly relaxing and peaceful experience. I enjoyed a 90-minute Swedish massage, although the pressure was slightly more firm than I had hoped. Additionally, I loved relaxing in the cozy relaxation area and private outdoor courtyard and using the amenities, such as the sauna and steam room. Complimentary champagne, tea, and light snacks are also provided for you. My only comment about Sense is that they should offer more of an extensive menu for food besides the complementary light snacks available. Besides that, I've always had a lovely experience at Sense, and I highly recommend it.

Fantastic. My wife gets massages often and she said this was her best ever. I’m a novice but loved the experience. Facilities, team members, service are all first class. You deserve this.

The Spa is in in a very beautiful location and is well equipped. There are convenient places for rest and relaxation, swimming pool sauna, everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would especially like to note the high professionalism of Vinsent's masseur-after his massage l became 30 years younger))

Wonderful day spa at the Rosewood. Went on a Thursday to recharge and had a wonderful facial and mani/ pedi. Facilities are nice (sauna, steam room, relaxation spaces). My only negative was being rushed through the end of my manicure because of a scheduling issue on their side. The nail technician was extremely apologetic, but manager and other guest were a tad rude. Would definitely go back regardless - go here if you need some respite from the city.

I was super impressed. I went in on my birthday for a first time visit. Not staying as a guest of the hotel. & the manager who helped me book the day before. Gave me a extremely thoughtful gift with samples & she's literally sweetest person ever in my book & really made me feel special & the magic of being surprised. I've never had spa's I've frequented in the past do something so thoughtful or unexpected. The Staff is so exceptional. Now that I've returned several times I can appreciate how fine tuned the services are. They put full effort in & really deliver the experience for the full duration of time in the descriptions. I have never been disappointed by any of the nail service or providers. Honestly the best. I do wish they offered the tea a little differently but that's a small thing. They offer some of the best complimentary champagne at any spa.
