"Connected to Asbury Lanes, a revamped bowling alley, bar, and music venue, the Diner serves dishes like hot honey chicken and waffles or brioche french toast. The prices are steeper than a typical diner, but then again, most diners don’t offer a wagyu burger. Time your visit right and catch a sound check while there." - Celia Buckley, Melissa McCart

Google
Fantastic venue for small concerts, had a blast with my friend here although I don’t recommend wearing jeans here for a concert- I was sweating since it was pretty hot standing there in the crowd in such a small venue! Otherwise really enjoyed the atmosphere!

Google
As a music venue, this place is incredible. It’s got all the makings of a place to see your favorite band and have an awesome time. The stage and set were clean— as were the restrooms. I thought the bowling lanes were marketing gimmick, but you can actually play a few rounds after the set is finished. It was fantastic. My only minor complaint would be the amount of alcohol you’re getting for their asking price. Besides that Asbury lanes is a place I see myself going back to in the near future!

Google
Went here to see sweetpill and hail the sun. It was a very good time. In regard to factors controllable by the venue, the security was pretty chill. They were not too abrasive and gave off the vibe they were just trynna keep things safe as opposed to power trip. The lights and speakers were also very good.

Google
Just hosted a Wine & Spirits Trade Show at the Lanes for 500 over 4 hours. Staff is amazing and so supportive. The room was ELECTRIC!!! Music, lighting, food all incredible. Best team I have ever worked with on an event of this magnitude over 20 years. Definitely be back next year.

Google
While it will never compare to the old lanes, it's a great venue overall. Wonderful sound quality, great lighting. You can see from everywhere in the room, which is huge for someone as short as I am. Don't ever order a whiskey sour from the bar though, it's the worst I've ever had. 0/10, tasted nothing like a whiskey sour should.

Jay Miner

Google
Really enjoyed stopping by here for a show. From the staff, to the sound system, to the lighting, to the location, decor, and even food. I would recommend it as a safe venue for a concert or a fun bowling alley to drink at. Would love to come back.

Google
Great party place. Went for the Mrs Roper Romp. Even with the huge crowd, the bartenders were efficient.

Sue Swezeny

Google
Great little venue for a concert. Saw They Might Be Giants. Sound was great. Lighting was great. 2 very large and we'll stocked bars. Air conditioning was non existent. That and the lack of seats gives them 4 stars. Cool note, the back half of the room is planks laid over the bowling alleys. Wow!

Yelp
I made it back to Asbury Lanes! This weekend was my first time back to the venue - let alone Asbury Park - since COVID wound down. We've always had good times here in the past, and I was hoping for the same this time. I was not disappointed - awesome time! I was here for the Hi-Tide Summer Holiday concerts on Friday and Saturday night. The lanes were closed for the performances. If you got there early enough when doors opened, you could grab the lane booths where you could sit. The score board screens projected the bands on stage, so you can watch if you couldn't get a good spot in the crowd (the often experienced plight of my fellow short people). For concerts, the merch booth is set up by the entrance and to the right of the stage. There's the standing area in front of the stage, then the sound booth for the AV crew, and the bowling lanes behind them. You'll immediately see where the bar is when the ceiling-high, lighted shelving stocked with multi-colored bottles of alcohol catches your eye (it's pretty cool looking). The bar staff here work hard and will take care of you, so please tip them. Watching them, they hustle - at least that's what I saw. So overall, the sound when bands were playing was good, but the for some reason there were some audio balancing issues during the DJ sets in between acts. The treble would be hard on the ears. I don't know if this was just because of factors specific to the event OR if that's just how it sounds normally. I won't take away stars for that because the sound for the live acts was still good. If you haven't seen a show at Asbury Lanes, I'd recommend checking it out at least once.

Shar S.

Yelp
Great venue for live music! Bowling alley converted to large warehouse space with two large bars and a really cool diner with excellent service from Arianna and Nicole! Pork roll egg and cheese, root beer float on yesss! Breakfast dinner then hang out and listen to New Jersey's rock scene! This place rocks!!!

Heather H.

Yelp
Great food at the attached diner. Nice, open room with music. Went there for the Mrs. Roper Romp.

Erin P.

Yelp
Came here with a couple of friends for the Samia concert. It's a super cool, small music venue. Drinks were typically priced for a concert. The whole experience was amazing.

Chris A.

Yelp
This place was great, a lot of fun especially with groups of friends or even date night

Laura P.

Yelp
Nice music venue, two bars, mostly standing/dancing space. Stage good height. Space size good for local club. Bathroom was clean.

Lou C.

Yelp
First time there and I have to say it is a wonderful concert venue. The show we saw was not too crowded, so there was space to walk around, and there were some seats near the back of the concert area if you wanted to rest your feet. Prices at the bar were very reasonable, there's a small food concession that has amazing soft pretzels, and all staff and servers were excellent.

Kellie R.

Yelp
I visited Asbury Lanes for the first time over the weekend for a 10 Years and VRSTY concert. I wish I knew about this venue a long time ago, it filled a part of my soul that I never thought was missing. Going through security and ticketing was a breeze. The venue is small and intimate. I was afraid of going to a standing-room only venue (more because I don't want to get caught in a mosh pit). However, there's seating at the two bars that are across from each other and an area to sit in the back. The concert didn't fully sell out so it was nice that no one was bumping into each other. There was a small mosh pit which was interesting to see in a bowling alley. Ha! Acoustics and lighting were good (they could have turned the mic on a little higher but that was my only "complaint.") The drinks were good and normal priced for a venue (a vodka tonic and beer were $18 total). I really fell in love with this venue and it makes me want to find other hidden gems like this for more concerts.

P L.

Yelp
Went there for a concert venue. Would not go back. Appreciate the sentiment they are trying to accomplish. Just not for me.Lack of seating and unenthusiastic/ entitled bar staff. Sealed the deal for one and done.

David B.

Yelp
I saw a concert at this Venue and it was a great experience. I came from out of town to see an act because tickets were sold out in Philly. Not only could I get tickets easily, but it felt like there was space to move at this venue. I think it's just lesser known so it was nice seeing a show here versus NY or Philly. The dinner looked cool and the decor was awesome (a bunch of stacked old amps next to the stage). I hope to come back some day!

Suzy B.

Yelp
What an incredible venue! We saw Howard Jones perform this week with Men Without Hats as their opener. What a great, intimate setting to see a band perform. We were right up at the stage and everyone was so friendly and fun at the venue and having such a great time -- just reminiscing about the 80s. We met a lot of fun 80s music fans and had a great evening! I wouldn't hesitate to go again. I cannot wait for another great artist to perform this Summer. Even the parking was like a dream. You can park right across the street with Asbury Parks metered parking, of course. And when the show is over, no big deal and no traffic! You just drive away. It's amazing. I see Psychedelic Furs and Modern English coming up on the events calendar. Thank you Asbury Lanes! Keep up the good work. We will definitely be back.

Maria K.

Yelp
This was my first time here and Christian is the best manager!! He helped me out, when I needed help! Can't thank him enough! Asbury Lanes is lucky to have him!

Rob C.

Yelp
Cool venue, with two glaring problems: during a show, you cannot order plain water at the bar. Instead, you're offered $5 boxed water and no alternative. This is beyond egregious, and legitimately dangerous... Imagine a drunk individual who REALLY needs a glass of water. Plain water should be free at every bar, everywhere. It's a safety issue, full stop. The second issue: no bowling at Asbury Lanes during a show? Come on! Obvious moneymaker.

Gage R.

Yelp
Went to my first concert here last night (The Acacia Strain) and I had an amazing time. Place looked very cool and all the staff I encountered were very kind. There were only 3 security guards there as well and they held their own at keeping the crowd under control. There was definitely one punch that I witnessed intentionally get thrown and they were all over it once it happened. There were I believe 2 bar stations and there's a diner connected to the venue which had a window that you could order food from. Overall I had a great experience here and felt very safe at a heavy metal concert.

Kenya M.

Yelp
I found out one of my favorite artist would be performing here, so I purchased the $20 ticket and decided to go. I've never heard of this place in my life, nor have I ever heard of a concert being held a at a bowling alley so I was really not sure what I was walking into... I have one word- WOW!! Here are the deets: I arrived for the concert one hour before show time and the line to get in was already wrapped around the building. After parking on the street and paying the meter, I ventured on over to wait in line. The line went super fast as the security was on point and had it all under control. They will check your ID at the door and issue you a bracelet. You will also have your bags checked & you must walk through a metal detector. Inside: This has got to be one of the coolest venues I've ever stepped foot in. I would say it's geared more toward concerts than bowling as there is only about 5 bowling lanes to use. They have two wonderful bars on each side and the bartenders were all extremely friendly and fun to hang out with. It's a concert so be prepared to stand! Ladies, leave the stilettos at home for this one. They have a few small tables and chairs but they are not near the stage. If you decide to sit, there are huge screens showing the concert so you'll be able to see it there. The stage is small but amazing nonetheless! The sound was crystal clear but not too loud where you had to scream to the person next to you. I didn't order any food but I did have a drink or two. The drinks are reasonably priced and are mouthwatering! Hats off to the people who are running this place because it's fantastic! I look forward to returning.

Yelp
We went here during SEAHEARNOW weekend. I wanted to go bowling after a show and we came here to find out they don't have late night bowling. But we had a blast not one but two nights in a row here as our afters. I do wish I could bowl while they play though.

Lauren C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visited Asbury Lanes on a Saturday afternoon while visiting Asbury Park. Upon entering we paid for 30 minutes of bowling for $30, which is a lot pricier than regular bowling. (We ended up adding on another 30 minutes later after a game and a half to keep playing.) We ordered a pitcher of beer and ended up bowling about 4 games. It would make more sense to pay per game rather than for the time limit. I felt safe as there were only 2 other parties bowling a few lanes away. The staff was helpful when we encountered an issue with our lane. It is more of an upscale experience and I am glad that we went. It is a really cool, unique space. I wish they offered a promo for guests of The Asbury Hotel, though.

Emily S.

Yelp
bartenders were terrible, worst service I've ever had. Not only were they extremely rude and clearly miserable, one was nodding off struggling to keep her eyes open, not a good look. left half way through a show because we could not fathom giving another penny to this establishment

Mhairi K.

Yelp
went to a jukebox the ghost concert here, loved the band, loved the setup. the atmosphere was incredible

Jim J.

Yelp
Couldn't show them a picture of my vaxx card, wouldnt let me in. Doesnt even mean I dont hve the vax, my phone was dead and couldnt show them. Hope the place goes bankrupt.

Yelp
I'd been hearing buzz about Asbury Lanes for a few years now and finally had a chance to check it out. I'd imagined it as a traditional 25 lane, brightly lit bowling alley with a small dingey bar area. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to find a large and spacious live music space with just six bowling lanes. The sound system was clear and powerful. The intelligent lighting enhanced the performance of Cat London and her talented band mates. A cool DJ spun remixes of James Brown, Hall & Oates and MJ in between the band's sets. We enjoyed some delicious cans of an Asbury Park microbrew. The bartenders were friendly and attentive - and seemed genuinely proud and happy to be working there. They presided over an impressive collection of top shelf liquors. Drink prices were fair, although not inexpensive. We ordered a couple of snacks from the in-house diner. The food was OK - nothing special. My suggestion here is to offer an expanded menu with healthier non-fried selections. Overall, Asbury Lanes was a pleasant surprise and 5 stars all the way! P.S. I have no point of reference of the original Asbury Lanes. I found the in-house art to be super cool, and in particular love the font employed in the Asbury Lanes logo.

Sue T.

Yelp
I was always a big fan of Asbury Lanes so when I was invited to a wedding there in 2013 I was thrilled. I mean who goes to a carnival themed wedding with burlesque, a sword swallower & contortionist? But there I was & I had a blast. Fast forward several years later, the lanes have been closed & are about to reopen. I was lucky enough to be around for the grand opening. What will it reveal? Did they trash the iconic Asbury Lanes? As it turned out I had the opportunity to find out the other day. The band I went to see at the Asbury Hotel was a no show so we decided to check out Asbury Lanes. I have to say, I am impressed with what they kept with AL. The side wall is a part of the original Lanes. The bowling area is moved but still the functional. What they've added is a diner (yes, an old fashioned diner within the lanes), a couple of bars & lots of seating to hang out. I am blessed to be so close to such a fantastic & innovative place! We only went for drinks but that was enough to make me happy for what is still there. Definitely a place to check out!

Steve A.

Yelp
Went here for a show recently, and I have to say it is an excellent venue. The stage is positioned in a great spot, there's no bad place to be, there's bars on both sides, and they pour local craft beer for cheap. Honestly that makes it 5 stars as a venue right there... the only reason I'm taking one off is due to the diner. You go to the website, and see a great menu for some tasty food, but what they don't tell you is you can't have it. There's a window to order food from, but it only offers a few fried dishes (for $15 a small plate) - you can't order from the diner menu, and there's a door to the diner that if you pass through, you can't go back. No re-entry. Summary: Great concert venue, would absolutely see more shows there - just forget about the diner. Or maybe go before a show?

Mario M.

Yelp
Visited Asbury lanes for the first time last night 6/25/22 to see a concert. Let me just say that everything about the venue is amazing, except for the bar experience. It should never take 30 minutes to buy 2 bottles of water!!! EVER!!! There are sweaty, drunk, and dehydrated guests that need to be able to get a drink when needed. There is no order to the way the bartender takes orders. Maybe it's a training issue or a hiring issue? The male bartender working on the side facing the bowling lanes was rude and did not seem to know what he was doing. Everyone around us was complaining that they were waiting too long to get a drink. You guys are losing a lot of money due to hiring incompetent people such as your bartender that was facing the bowling lanes! Seemed like he was bothered by the metalhead concert goers. Not sure if I'll ever go back because of this experience. When I want a drink at a concert venue I can always get one with no problems. Getting a bottle of water was like waiting for the new pair of Jordan's to come out. Unacceptable. Ruined the entire experience for our group and many others attending the show at your venue.

Yelp
THEIR "DINER" FOOD! .....yummy! *Vegan Burger (w/Vegan Cheese even!) & fries *Onion Rings *Mac N Cheese & Vegan Collard Greens Great comfort food in a small retro styled diner environment. They offer booze which is a big plus. Great to have a PBR with my Onion Rings and Mac N Cheese (which was super cheesy and dripping with gooey goodness!) The fact that the Collard Greens were vegan saved a lot of questioning if there was lard, meat or any other animal bits in there and they blended excellently with the Pasta! Vegan burger with Vegan Cheesw was ace, tho would have benefited from some toppings, like where's the lettuce, tomato and/or onion guys?!? Even a couple pickle slices should be included if nothing else.... That said, it was the only mis-step. The place also offers classic root-beer floats, cakes, or ice cream sundays and a huge cinnamon bun in a skillet. Lots of Side dishes to choose from and just a great addition to the beautiful re-do of this iconic Asbury Park landmark. Yay, Salt hotels!

Nicole S.

Yelp
My mother called to ask if masks were required to bowl or if we needed to bring our vaccine cards after I read on the website vaccine cards were required for events. She spoke with Jack/Jake (whoever picked up at 6:25pm on 2/20) who wasn't sure if masks were required (not sure how he didn't know) and then got snotty with her saying "you don't want to wear a mask and spread it? Anyway,..." He's a really awful person making assumptions about STRANGERS. We make careful choices about where we go and are fully vaccinated. She hung up and started to cry because it was an attack for a simple question. I had to console her telling her that Jack/Jake is an unwell person creating drama out of nothing.

Frederick G.

Yelp
Entirely shocking and unacceptable experience last night. We were there for all of 15 minutes when we realized our friend was missing. We found her 20 minutes later locked in the diner area...alone and not eating. We discovered that one of the security guards grabbed her by the neck and locked her in there because they accidentally let her in -and she is not 21. Their website mentions that the establishment is child friendly... and there is NO SIGNAGE that states age limits or anything of the like. They allowed her in and then assaulted her unnecessarily. We will be pursuing legal action and are now on a mission to publicly shame this poorly managed business.

Esme P.

Yelp
Security was extremely rude, once my friends and I were in, I asked if I could put my sweater back in the car seeing as it will get in the way, yet their response was extremely rude and unnecessary. The concert overall was great with an amazing opener, just with the security was better in regards to their customer service.

Camryn M.

Yelp
Such a fun and retro experience! A group of us went there on New Year's day to get together. The movie "When Harry Met Sally" was playing and it was just such a different, fun, and relaxed experience. We ended up ordering so much food which overall was way better than we expected. The drinks were pretty good as well, except we got two pitchers of draft beer which was very diluted so that was disappointing. After the movie was over, the staff was kind enough to turn on the game for the guys as well as open the bowling alleys for us to play a round or two. Great experience for all ages!

Lauren C.

Yelp
Lovely place scenery is nice. What I have a problem with is that during the pandemic bowling shoes are required. Where as you can pick and choose any ball you please. That doesn't make sense. At least allow sneakers the bowling shoes suck they're slippery and cause more of a hazard in my opinion.

Thaddeus K.

Yelp
My review is on the room, a room that's supposed to be a music venue as it once was. I really don't care what the Lanes were about prior to the makeover. I was never into punk or any of the music it hosted back in the day, but will comment on my experience now after 2 shows (RRE and now Tyler Childers). That I've been here twice (in the space of a month), tells me that there's a wonderful new music venue in town. Great! Now for a reality check. First, the sound system is abysmal. Muddled and when I come away a second time, and that's my main takeaway, well, that sucks and it appears that no one gives a sh^t about it. Most everyone I've talked with about this say same. I'm sure it's been brought to those who can do something's attention. And what's with the lights? Terrible. Who needs those bright lights on an almost continual 'flash' into one's eyes during a performance? Sight and sound. You blow those two components and what you have is one sub par concert experience. Then again, I wonder if it even matters to management. I'm not going comment on the diner next door as I'm not there for the food (though those fries were interesting and good - don't know what they set you back as my friend brought them to the table) as I pre-gamed at Mogo on Cookman.. I do hope they do something about the above. As for the old Lanes, get over it. I don't care for what's happened to AP either. That it's cleaner, is a plus. That it's now a faux hipster, gentrified 800 lb gorilla sucks. I'll be back I'm sure as I love music and I'll post a follow up on should the room improve.

Tina M.

Yelp
My volleyball team has been dying to go here as a group. All of us were calling all week to ask about the bowling venue and leaving messages and no calls back to let us know about availability. Well we arrive and closed for private party. Not one call back to 4 people. Bad business practice & disappointed group who travelled a distance for. closed venue...private party. Will never step foot in there.

Marisa V. G.

Yelp
Called the location to book a lane and was told to go on resy.con to book a lane. Went to resy.com and booked a bowling reservation for 11:30 Pm. Arrived at asbury lanes only to be informed that it was last call and the building got locked down at 12am. Not sure why they let us book a 90 min. bowling reservation for 11:30 if they close half an hour later but it's absolutely bs. Girl at the shoe rental even laughed at us like this is a common occurrence. Won't be coming back.

Tina L.

Yelp
We came in around 5pm on a Saturday. The lanes were reserved, but we were greeted right away by Colin. He was very friendly and made accommodations for us, and we were sat right away. We ordered appetizers and some of the big plates - everything came out very quickly and tasted great. They were starting trivia night just as we were leaving, we'll have to come back and participate next time!

Todd M.

Yelp
Just chowed down phenomenal chicken sliders aka "the dude," with a side of kingpin burger. Super yummy. Awesome that they have a kid friendly menu for my 3 year old. Fun, retro diner atmosphere. Lively, with great customer service! Two

Silke M.

Yelp
Awesome bowling alley with a huge bar, well designed layout and unique decor. Diner 50s style great burger and fries.

Stephen M.

Yelp
Never a Second Chance for First Impressions I had a horrible experience dealing with Asbury Lanes', Ticketing Agent, AXS, with zero customer service from either AXS or Asbury Lanes. AXS sold me tickets, which I paid for, took my money, but never delivered the tickets. Several phone calls with AXS over the course of a week, and an email to Asubry Lanes, lead to absolutely nothing. No one cared to resolve the issue, and I arrived at the venue on the night of the show, without tickets, on the hope that my tickets were at Will Call. Nope,.. Sorry Charlie. "Don't have your tickets" "Don't know what your are talking about". I'm a local, and I had been to dozens of shows at the old Asbury Lanes, and I was really looking forward to seeing my first show at the new venue. Well, I was really really disappointed with my experience. If I could give them zero Stars, I would, because that's how many f*cks Asbury Lanes gives about their customers.

Michael T.

Yelp
Old lanes were way better. The renovation left the place feeling too slick and clubby. The PA system improved which is the only benefit. Bowling price exorbitant.

Al D.

Yelp
ahahahahahahah. boy did they screw this one up. big. time. precursor - yes i used to go the old lanes. yes it was a badass, divey, neighborhood joint where every weekend i saw my friends, ate tots, bowled for nothing, and heard my favorite bands. i tried to overlook the changing. i was hopeful that due to Bowery presents coming in we'd get some interesting touring bands, even though Bowery Presents is in itself a hot mess i went last night to the Thursday show because of my friend. i wanted to judge the place by its own standards and not against the old Lanes, which is gone and never coming back. so how does this place stack up by itself? like total, utter, hot garbage. no matter where you stand, THE SOUND IS TERRIBLE. the place is so massive and all over the place, the sound just floats up into the rafters. you cannot hear the singer, i could barely hear the lead guitarist. it was absolute trash. why is the stage where it is? who designed this place? why is there a bright diner in the corner instead of another bar? why did it need a separate restaurant? what's with the fake bowling ball american flag? and the weirdly fake painted exposed brick wall? why any of it? do the people who bought this care about music? answer is probably no. I'm double thinking coming here for Japanese Breakfast now because I'm assuming no matter where I stand I won't be able to HEAR her. Their lack of care regarding sounds just leads me to feeling that these people (probably) thought they had a goldmine in the form of the Disney-ified gimmick Lanes they have going on: the expensive bowling (that you can't even do while a show is going on), the many options for merch, the lackluster attempt at having a walk-up snack counter, the bizarre lighting on the TINY tiny stage, the faux music stuff on the walls. Applebees Lanes.

Rex L.

Yelp
Been living local for 3 years. We have frequented asbury lanes a lot. First night a bartender said he doesn't make sangria.... He can only make what is on the drinks menu. Still a chill place. My gf and I came around 9:45pm for a night out.

Megan C.

Yelp
I think I like the idea of this venue more then I like the venue . Visually the coolest place I have ever seen . The stage is literally in the middle of lanes that use to be a bowling ally ( I don't think you can actually bowl anymore ). They have kept up the appearance as if it was still a ally. There's still balls placed on racks , pins down the remaining lanes and shoes in cases. The sound is odd . You get a different sound bring close to the stage verses a little bit back . I think it's the structure of how it's built , bowling ally to stage . They do have food options of different grilled cheese and a bar. For bands : Load in is through a side wall dock- no ramp or elevator all manual lifting of gear. No private shower or bathroom . Plugs impossible to find .

Shannon B.

Yelp
They've been blocking people across social media for saying anything about their business practices, which I think says plenty about their business practices. I spent a lot of time at the Asbury Lanes in its initial form. When it was run by a loving, caring staff who had the community in mind and included events for local musicians and artists and kept their prices low so as to make sure they catered to the locals. This new rendition using the same name has taken the heart and soul of the place we loved and claims to have the interest of its roots in mind. They've refused to allow any former staff members to work there and have done a fantastic job of alienating the community as a whole. Go to the Wonder Bar. Go to The Saint. Go to Bond Street. Keep our town alive. Stay away from what this place has become.

Kurt I.

Yelp
DIY punk rock mashed with the old rock and roll feel. This truly is how venues should be run. Dirty, loud, full of vagrants - awesome. I came for the Tim Barry record release and I attempted to come before but found it closed. Downfalls here- Snack bar was closed. I heard the snack bar goddess quit. BUMMER. I wanted some greasy vegan treats. The sound was awful. A mic or cord kept shorting out and no one noticed it or did anything for a long time. I wish they would run a fundraiser show to buy some new sound equipment. It seems that some of it could use some TLC/repair. I hope this place never gets cleaned up or goes away. I will for certain be back - hopefully to ingest some grease. PS - major bonus is the sound of the pins crashing behind the music.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to go to Asbury Lanes! Hubby and I have been trying to go for years but the timing has been off. We came for Tuesday trivia, and had a really good time. We entered the contest a little late but the host was cool with it and the crowd seemed fun. $4 draft beers and snacks were $5, loved the tater tots and the mac and cheese bites. The Italian Style Hot Dog was worth skipping.

Yelp
Reviewing: The bowling at the newly renovated Asbury Lanes. The good: The place is clean. Everything is new. Nice bar. The bad: We go out for date night on Tuesdays. For two people to go bowling for one hour with shoe rental was $50! For one hour. On a Tuesday. The place was pretty much empty. I guess they think you should pay for the ambience? But really its just bowling. So you can go play bowling on a Tuesday elsewhere for less than $3 per game. Also all the balls are the same - like for example all 7 lb balls have the same exact color and finger cut outs. Same deal for 11 lb balls etc. Obviously people have different size fingers. Tip to the management: You are over staffed. If you disagree look back at the video tape for earlier tonight. Place was empty - tons of staff. Maybe have off peak pricing? Maybe post prices on your website? Business hours are not clearly visible on the door to your establishment, website, or google. I'm sure this will change. Let people know when you are open. Overall: I guess if you are just looking to go to a bar in Asbury this is a bar in Asbury - and you can go. However we wanted to bowl and this was way over priced. Rating: Two stars because the description of two stars according to Yelp is "Meh. I've experienced better"and the description for three stars is "A-Ok"

Yelp
This review is about the Diner. Very cool boots and counter area but the food and the wait for the food need a lot of work. The waitress was very helpful but she had no control over the cook. It took about 45 minutes to get served and then some did not receive their food for another 10 minutes. Menu is not typical diner food. They are trying too hard to be trendy. Portions are large but not one of the 7 people in our party thought the food was good. It just opened so hopefully they will get their act together and the experience will improve. Bar and bowling areas look like a great fun venue for Asbury.

Yelp
I think think place is awesome, so cool and fun. I wanted to have a private party here and spoke to multiple people in charge about it but they never return a phone call.

Yelp
I thought this place was fantastic. The food was amazing and the people working there were awesome. I would definitely go back. I don't know what the place used to be, but I had a great time. And... it's cheaper than most bars in the area with much better food. MUCH better. I'm eating my leftovers for dinner right now. Yummy!!!

Yelp
The Lanes will always have my loyalty as a bowling alley bar with a live stage at the heart of everything. Aside from a cover charge, the drinks are strong and affordable, the music is always good, and you will always meet someone you already know here. Great for live shows, DJ's that I can vouch for and plenty of room to dance. Movie night is always kind of eerie and fun here, too. Don't miss great events like flea markets, record fairs, art shows, vintage car shows, and burlesque dancers.

Yelp
I booked my daughters 11th birthday party at Asbury lanes and the night before her party they Emailed me and told me that we couldn't have it there because they booked it for a private party. iI called them and told them I have nine children coming to the birthday party and they said there's nothing they can do about it unless I wanted to come at 9 o'clock at night I told him but it's a child's birthday party there's nothing we can do about it that is so wrong in so many ways to disappoint a child on her birthday and all her friends now we have to call everyone and tell them that the party is canceled . So wrong in so many ways it's a terrible thing to do to a child.. shame on you Asbury bowling!!!!!
