Where to Eat and Drink Around DU This Fall (Whether You Are a Student or Not) - Eater Denver

"When Asbury Provisions opened its doors, one of its owners told Eater his goal was to give the neighborhood a place to drink that was “more than a standard college bar.” Four years later, this neighborhood gastropub continues to deliver on that promise with 20 taps, a lengthy list of specialty cocktails, and a menu that combines mussels, a beer and cheese board, and burrata with more standard bar fare such as wings and a warm pretzel. There is also a solid selection of sandwiches and burgers, including a Caprese Panini and a short rib sandwich." - Gigi Sukin, Paul Albani-Burgio

This is my first time at this gastropub, and I really enjoyed it. They had good food and a wide beer selection. The aesthetic for the holidays is quite lovely with all the lights and decorations. I am not a massive fan of the hours, but it is definitely worth the experience going

The food, cocktails and beer at this awesome little place are absolutely amazing! I had the wedge salad and the short rib sandwich. Everything was amazingly delicious and I would come back here anytime. PS try the grey wolf cocktail.

This place is loud during happy hour... Could definitely use more sound baffles everywhere. Whenbit comes to food here it is amazing. I had the shortrib sandwich and the bread had this crispness to the edges, the meat was super tasty and everything they put on the sandwich added to the complexity and subtlety of the flavors. Bar chips were tasty too :) I had the salted cucumber cider, which is odd by itself but with the food it makes a tasty sour addition and kept the flavors rolling. Would not recommend the bacon jamb on the brownie for dessert... Was more like pork sausage jam and was too much salt and smoke for the brownie Al la mode. The brownie was good though and we ate around the jam.

Google
Awesome little place the food is great the 🦅 fans were a blast. Great beer selection. Suggestions: the whole plastic straw thing is just BS propaganda (research it) paper straws are horrible so please bring the plastic back also add another TV or 2. People are obviously loyal so let's make the customer happy. We'll be back.

It's around the corner from us so we've been here a few times. Never disappoints. From the outside looking in it doesn't look like much but once you're inside the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Bar is well stocked and the wait staff is friendly. Great food. Great prices.

Amazing food. Especially the short rib Sammy and the infamous pickle jar. Also the beer and alcohol selection is top notch!👌

We really enjoy this place. It is like our own local Cheers bar. They have good beer and wine. The owners are usually there and are super friendly as long as you don't dis Philly. We really like the wings and the wedge salad as they are so tasty and unique. We tried the cheese place last time and it was great. I would definitely try this place out.

Yelp
Ah, Nate--our mixologist, comforter, sage, A wizard of whiskey, the star of the stage. With one simple nod or a glint in his eye, He'll slide you a drink that could make you cry. Happy tears, of course. This is No Name, my friend, Where the good times roll and the bad days end.

Yelp
This bar is life-changing. I'm not even being dramatic - walking into this place felt like stumbling into a hidden pocket of magic where the drinks are divine, the vibes are immaculate, and the spaghetti is FREE (from 3-6). Nate and Cade are not just pouring drinks - they're curating experiences. Every cocktail I've had was perfectly balanced and somehow exactly what I didn't even know I wanted. And the cider? Out. Of. This. World. Crisp, flavorful, and dangerously drinkable. This place is pure magic. Run, don't walk.

Yelp
If you aren't from the neighborhood, you would not know this bar exists as it has No Name, or that is possibly its name. Formerly Asbury Provisions, owners of the Englewood Grand have opened up this smaller nameless bar that offers beer, cocktails, snacks, and AYCE spaghetti on Sundays & Mondays. We had just come from brunch so we did not partake in that deal. The bartender greeted us and handed us menus that lists their beers and food so we had to ask about cocktails. I went with a mezcal to sip. The bar area is nice and similar to the darker wooden decor of the Grand. I had to laugh the next morning when my credit card charge showed as, "That Bar You Were In Last Night."

Yelp
What a cool place! The best part: they have spaghetti happy hour. You heard that right, free spaghetti every day from 3-6 pm, and it's good too! Lots of options for beer on tap and well made cocktails for being a casual dive bar hidden out of sight. The vibes are chill and I even came here to do some school work, free wifi, comfy seating and ambient lighting. The bartender was awesome and gave us tasters of the beer before we committed to a glass. I'll be back to this place for sure.

Yelp
This bar is listed in the Westword 100 for 2024-2025. They have on their menu IPAs on the front and food (including their spaghetti) on the back, yet they offer numerous cocktails. This is the same company that owns Englewood Grand. I'd take the Grand any day over this place. The bartender was nice but definitely continued his convo with his friends that were in for the hour. This place likes to be known as the "no name". Cute decor in the center of DU. You can take 90's homecoming pics in the middle of the bar if that's your thing!

Yelp
This place is the ultimate vibe. Located near DU, students and community members can come here daily for a place to hangout, relax, or even get some work done. Best part: free spaghetti 3-6 every single day. The ciders are my favorite in terms of drinks, and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Such a cool place to grab a fantastic cocktail or choose from a great selection of craft beers on tap! Casual but classy ambiance right in the heart of DU. Same ownership as Englewood Grand which is another one of my favorite spots.

Yelp
Best service and cocktails in the area, they always have a huge list of beers and amazing charcuterie board. The only bar in the area where you can get a traditional drink without the hassle. 10/10 best part is it's free pasta from 3-6 eveyday!!!! How can you not like this bar

Yelp
If you're looking for a bar with an actual name, keep walking. But if you want some of the best, most unique cocktails in Denver--paired with an atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile--No Name is where you need to be. Cade isn't just a bartender. He's a magician, a mixologist, and somehow, also a therapist (but the kind that serves you booze instead of billing your insurance). He doesn't just make drinks--he crafts experiences. Tell him a flavor, a feeling, or even just a vague idea, and he'll hand you something you'll never forget. He's got this uncanny ability to take whatever you think you like in a cocktail and elevate it to something you actually love. Beyond the drinks, No Name is the kind of place that feels like a secret you don't want to keep. It's intimate but lively, cozy but never boring. The kind of bar where strangers turn into friends and the conversation flows as easily as the cocktails. Whether you're there for a deep talk, a casual hang, or just to watch Cade work his magic behind the bar, you'll leave feeling like you've been somewhere special. Bottom line: No Name is everything a great bar should be--warm, welcoming, and full of unforgettable drinks. If you haven't been yet, go. If you have, well, you already know.

Yelp
The epitome of a quaint, friendly neighborhood bar! Great ambiance with delicious classic cocktails and a great beer selection. The bartenders are extremely talented and approachable. On top of that, they offer a DAILY happy hour with FREE spaghetti from 3-6 with the purchase of a drink! I look forward to making this one of my regular spots.

Yelp
The best cocktails! Love the friendly ambiance and always feel safe here with the bartenders - they look out for their customers! The charcuterie boards are the best - but you can also bring in your own food and just enjoy the cocktails. LOVE Cade and Nate and Phil!

Yelp
Rude bartender named Cade. Maybe he needs a bouncer but he spends his time harassing RETURNING customers for their identification MULTIPLE times during the night. Nothing memorable about the bar, only thing I remember is them being out of the beer I wanted at 10 pm on a Friday.

Brynn K.

Yelp
Love this bar! Good location, best classic cocktails, fun ambiance, clean restrooms. Can't go wrong!

Yelp
From the hand crafted cocktails to the lineup of craft beers on tap, you can't miss stopping in here. A great ambiance and experience to complement whatever your night is calling for. Friendly bartenders and a great location.

Yelp
Absolutely great bar to go to! The bartender Nate is extremely friendly and very sociable. Their charcuterie, and olive board are absolutely amazing to have with a drink. While they're on tap selection is slightly limited, the bartenders are very skilled at making any cocktails or other drinks you may order. They always have some old movie or TV show playing on the TVs which combined with the board/card games they have adds to the laid back atmosphere of the bar. Monday through Wednesdays and anytime during the day the bar is very quiet and great to go to have a conversation with somebody. During the night on the weekends it can get very busy as it is a bar off of a college campus. Despite this, when it is busy, the bartenders will try to accommodate you as best they can. Overall a great experience!
