Let me just say—every other restaurant in the area should be nervous. And the best part is super easy to get there, as they have free valet service.
The vibe at the restaurant is great. Super clean, modern, and warm at the same time. They have this modern art deco look with velvet boots, leather chairs, soft lighting, and gold details that make the place feel upscale without being too flashy. We were seated next to a little drink station that was set as decoration and it was awesome.
Now the food… next level.
I started with the crab cake, and it was amazing. You could actually see the crab meat, and the sweet onion on the side just worked perfectly with it. Then came the mussels—fresh, tender, and full of flavor in this light tomato broth. We had to ask for extra bread, that souse was amazing.
But the lobster risotto? Easily the star. Creamy, rich, and the lobster tail on top was cooked just right. Everything about it was balanced.
I wrapped it up with a scoop of raspberry sorbet. Simple, fresh, and honestly one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while.
If you’re in Skokie, this is the spot. No question.
