Ireland’s state-of-the-art Ashford Studios in County Wicklow provided four sound stages and expansive backlots for the more intricate and ornate sets that couldn’t be filmed on location. Nevermore Academy’s Founders Pyre bonfire set, Jericho’s big Pilgrim World attraction, the interiors of Willow Hill and Rotwood Cottage, and Professor Orloff’s lab were all built here, making the studios a central hub for the show’s world-building. - Phil de Semlyen
