We visited the restaurant today and had a great experience. The ambiance is lovely, and I want to give a shoutout to Reba at the front desk for her excellent customer service. The entire staff, including a very polite lady and gentleman who is in white shirt, made us feel welcome. The pricing is fair, and it's worth. they offer a complimentary banquet room for parties, which is a nice touch. Additionally, they offer private rooms for those seeking a more secluded and intimate dining experience. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Lollipop and Mango Lassi, they are standout dishes among other tempting options on the menu. The restaurant truly excels in providing exceptional customer service, and we unequivocally recommend it for a delightful dining experience. We'll definitely be returning.

This restaurant was so beautiful on the inside and had a really moody vibe but in a good way! Perfect date night spot and they have a few different private rooms of different sizes for parties or gatherings of different kinds! They also have a banquet hall for large celebrations or parties! The food was amazing and the staff was great! Overall a great experience!! Highly recommend!!

We recently visited the restaurant for a date night. Upon arrival, we were treated to a private room, where we received excellent service throughout the evening. The food was DELICIOUS! Staff were very attentive and helpful in making menu recommendations. They even sent us on our way with additional nann bread. Could not recommend more highly.

Last night, I had a delightful dining experience at Aashiyana Indo park Restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We particularly savored the Fry daal , palak paneer, ,malai boti chicken, biryani, naan, etc.which were cooked to perfection with authentic spices. The service was commendable, though it could have been a tad quicker, considering the restaurant’s bustling atmosphere. The friendly and polite staff made us feel welcome and at ease. The cozy and family-friendly ambiance further enhanced our overall dining experience. The prices were reasonable, considering the high quality of food served.

Best Indian food in town. The samosas were delicious, the lamb was our of this world, so tender! And the butter chicken was fantastic! Honestly, the food is really good, the environment is high class, and the service is awesome. Now, the sad news is that it kind of pricey, but it is totally worth it!

Wonderful service down to the point of no return!! These people are so incredibly attentive. Your water will never run low and you will never leave still feeling hungry! The authentic drawings on the walls tell such an intricate story of the owners past experiences! Just watching, you learn so much history and about the culture. It's like sitting in a museum but with food! The food was made with love! You could taste every single ingredient! It resonates with your soul! Very very flavorful. Although this is a buffet it tastes like a 4-5 star restaurant!

Aloo Samosas was room temperature and not hot at all. Garlic Naan was tasty. Tandoori Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo was amazon at a medium spice. If you like spicy, medium is a great spice level. I can take spicy food and this had my head sweating for sure. But I loved every bit of it. Vindaloo dish was my personal favorite this evening. Baingan Bartha, was good. I would definitely go back. Service was a little slow. With all the spicy food I needed lots of water. Overall the food was really good.

Experience with Ashiana Hello everyone, I wanted to share a recent experience with a Ashiana Indian Restaurant, Bar and Banquet & Catering located at 12610 Briar Forest Dr, Houston, TX 77077. I called and booked the table and private party room to celebrate my son high school graduation on June 2024. We arrived  by 7:30pm . Too many bad experiences in one day but here is few, 1. When we got there we noticed inside room temperature is hot and we told our attendant waitress and she said she can fix the AC thermostat and room should be cold in little bit . We ordered the some snacks and they took almost 40 minutes to just bring the snacks but we didn't said anything about late service but we told her that room is still not cold and she brought standing fan and after that she brought one more standing fan with our humble request but room was still not cold and too late to find any good Indian restaurant for group of 20 people's. We have to stay with any cost now. 2. After that I ordered our foods . I ordered few different dishes to enjoy my son school graduation with my family and relatives. They took more than one hour to just start bringing our food. They brought some dishes and we start eating but they brought 5-7 dishes after we done with eating. YES after we done with eating. We left many dishes on the table after we left from there. 3. When we call to book the table I asked her if they have chef Mr. Singh because his food recipes is great and she said Mr. Singh is off today but they have same food recipes. BUT WHEN WE TASTE THE FOOD IT WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND NOT A TASTY AT ALL. My Mom didn't eat anything after first bite and she came back home hungry and my wife made her food at home . All the dishes taste was not good. 4. After we done we proceed to cashier table to make a payment. We got very big surprise. Total BILL WAS ALMOST 900 DOLLARS FOR 20 PEOPLE FOOD. We all got shocked because we always go to Indian restaurant and never got that high bill. Owner was on the cashier desk and he knows everything that we got too many problems with services and food quality. We asked him about it but he was kind of quiet and not feeling any apologies and doing drama to keep busy with cashier computer. Our waiter told him to give us 20 percent discount and she was also member of management. But owner was keep doing drama to show us that he is trying to add discounts but don't know how to do it . He gave us $25 coupon. What a joke . I told him that he should give us 50% discount or don't charge us at all and I know if that was American restaurant they going to apologize many times to us and let us go without making a single penny payment for it. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY FOR THE DELAYS OR SERVICE AND DOR LOWER QUALITY FOOD . These are just few bad experiences and list is long.

Yelp
We came here as a group of 10 people for lunch on a Sunday afternoon.. the ambiance seemed dated and looked tacky to be honest but we had heard a lot about their food so we thought why not give it a try Since we were a large group we ordered 2 orders of each dish like 2 niharis 2 karahi 2 daal fry we also ordered beef paya (single order thankfully) which was so unhygienic it literally had hair stuck in its bone and we had to send it back immediately.. we had to request for the Nihari relish as it wasn't served along with it...(not a good thing).. we also ordered vegetarian biryani and some naan bread.. their was only one staff which was serving us and he seemed a little overwhelmed with our order.. the nihari was good and so was the karahi.. daal fry was a little running and it needed tempering (tadka) to give that authentic daal fry experience.. the naan were soft and fluffy.. veg biryani was decent... It was an ok ok experience nothing great 2.5/5 Their raita was good too..

Yelp
When I worked in the energy corridor, this was my go-to place for lunch. Since relocating to Katy, it's been a solid 10+ years since I've been back, but upon revisiting last week, I happily discovered the quality is still the same...if not better! This is THE place for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine!! Every dish is made with the fresh ingredients for complex flavors and just the right amount of spice! The service is spot on and everything is plated as good as it tastes! I won't stay away this long again!
google avatar

Kristin K.

Yelp
We ordered 3 entrees and received enough rice for 1 entree. Additionally, the palak paneer had 4 pieces of paneer. The salad was anemic. Very disappointing in quality. Even the spices were not very well balanced.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday dinner at Ashiana. From the warm ambiance to the attentive staff, the restaurant creates a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is a journey through the diverse flavors of India, with expertly crafted dishes that showcase the chefs' skill in blending spices. Highlights include the crispy samosas, flavorful Butter Chicken, and aromatic biryanis. The staff is great and very attentive. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Quiet restaurant for dining inn, I usually pick up to go and ordered once on DoorDash. Great fresh food, I've enjoyed it Every time I've had it, food is spicy so be careful to mention it, great staff and not to pricey.

Marcos D.

Yelp
Food is the best Indian food that I ever had. I also loved the buffet is very vast and has vegetarian and non vegetarian options! Service is also amazing, great and friendly staff! Plenty of parking safe! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
The food was good, the service was fantastic and overall this place is very good. However, if you're a spice lover and you are planning to eat here, make sure to make everything extra spicy or else it won't be spicy enough for you. But other than that, this place was great.

Yelp
The lunch buffet is kind of a good deal because it's only like $18. I am Indian so my review is a little more harsh than my usual. What they had out for tandoori chicken was bland. The gulab jammun had weird taste... kind of like the taste of bad tap water. Everything else was pretty good... the daal is not the popular traditional type (it's spicier and tastes less good). Palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, and mutton curry were all good. Can't comment on the naan bc I'm gluten free. The service was skins of annoying.. they kept asking us if we wanted more water. At one point, they had asked us 3 times within 2 minutes. I feel like I'd still choose to go to Nirvana's buffet over Ashiana even though they're more expensive bc tandoori chicken is very important to me, which Nirvana gets right. The vibes are good on the inside (terrible outside).

Yelp
Reliably Good Indian Restaurant I have been a customer of Ashiana's for many years. I have always had a good meal. Some of my favorite dishes include Rack of Lamb, Lamb Korma, Butter Chicken, Samosas, Saag Paneer, Baingan Bartha, Kheer and Indian Tea. They also serve a buffet certain days for lunch and it's a good value. I definitely recommend Ashiana's in west Houston.

Rohit A.

Yelp
new management and new chef. I am born and bought up in Hyderabad. Needless to say , I have had biryani from one of the best restaurants. Has ordered a chicken biryani her and the chef drove me crazy with the blend of spices and flavors . Must taste the biryani. I will for sure try the goat and shrimp biryani. Yummeeeeee.

Yelp
Very good buffet. We had a very pleasant lunch buffet experience. Everything tasted very good and not very heavy. Food was healthy as well. Not much oil or salt. Overall I enjoyed my experience here. I concur this is a great place to eat. I am Moby, an India. Food taster and lover and I approve this message

Jordana R.

Yelp
Riba the waitress is so welcoming and accommodating. She is always the best waitress and goes above and beyond. The chicken tikka masala is off the charts. The naan is moist and soft and fresh and hot. The vindaloo will be the best thing you ever ate. The spicy minced lamb is so good I crave this place all the time. They are so kind and welcoming and high class and quality service. My Indian cousin even approved !!!!!! That's when you know it's worth it. 5 stars!!!

Saima K.

Yelp
They are very big thiefs of houston we order 8 bread naan yesterday it was not fresh sour taste and they charged 2.95 for one naan.Unbelieveable they have to close their restaurant full of tasteless menu. They have to close their business big fraud of Houston.
google avatar

Sunland C.

Yelp
01/23/2022 Its always pleasant to come here. They are quiet and on top if everything. Variety is decent and honestly I love that their Naan is thinner and flaky with that brush of buttery goodness.

Keeta H.

Yelp
Be careful ordering on Uber Eats. Menu items state served with naan. They r not any longer.

Yelp
We went there for e Grad party , yes- this place has an adjoining party hall where food ofcourse is catered by the restaurant. The starters was onion pakoda and gobi manchurian. I was won over in the first course of the meal. The chutneys, the pakodas were the right spice. Then there had naans, baingan bartha, paneer curry , veg rice and so the list goes on and on. There was also a bar where drinks were served including chai...ofcourse no Indian party is complete without the chai . The naan especially was really good. I knew there had a restaurant only because I entered the wrong door, and the manager very politely re directed me to the other door where the party was being held. i don't know if the servers were from the restaurant or not, but they were very quick to remove plates, refill glasses and ask if we wanted anything. Overall, they made the day more pleasant than it already was.
google avatar

Tasfia A.

Yelp
Not sure why this place averages a bit over 3 stars on Yelp. The service here is great, and the food is delish. I came with a party of 9 and we were seated immediately and given papor (papadam) to start. I tried the dahl Ashania (black lentils), tandoori chicken, baingan bartha (eggplant), chicken 65, and hot phall (super spicy and I had it with chicken). My favorite dish was the hot phall and the baingan bartha was second place for me. Each of these dishes came with rice. Parking situation: on-site

Yelp
Great food!!! Love the chicken tikki Marsala !!! The best ever!! Recommend the mango lassi too!!
google avatar

Wendy T.

Yelp
Went with coworkers for lunch. We had the buffet, and it's the first buffet I've had since Covid first started. The best thing is there were a lot of options and a variety of choices to choose from. Taste-wise it is ok. I liked the fried fish and the palak paneer. It is not spicy either. The mango lassi is really, really good though. I definitely wouldn't mind getting a second glass of it. The dining area is also nice and clean.

Yelp
Just finished enjoying a wonderful Saturday lunch buffet at Ashiana. Sample several of their dishes including stalwarts like butter chicken, tandoori roasted chicken, goat stew, limon rice, lentils, spinach, and fish with tamarind sauce. I am not typically a fan of buffets, but in Ashiana's case, the food was kept warm and fresh. Enjoyed a cup of spiced chai to finish the meal. The naan was exceptional - light, slightly puffy with the requisite infusion of garlic. The restaurant is under new management. The price of the lunch buffet is quite reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend trying out both the Indian and Nepalese influenced dishes.

Dana S.

Yelp
I have been to Ashiana occasionally over 20 years. It was good the first time and it's only improved since. Excellent food, nice atmosphere, good service. Decent price.

Tran T.

Yelp
Great place with so much flavor! We got the platter with a little of everything and it was perfect! I'm a big meat eater and the lamb chops were great, but their vegetarian dishes were phenomenal! Definitely coming back again. And get the garlic naan everyone!

Sean N.

Yelp
My 1 st time to order at this restaurant and what a disaster. I wanted to eat Sarsoon ka Saag and Makki de Roti and so I placed the order, picked up the order came home opened the order and NO Makki de Roti, upon calling them they said that they don't have and thats why they gave me Naan so just eat it with Naan. Are you serious ??? No apology, no offer to make things right. I also ordered Dessert SO called Sukha Tukra, the bread they call TRES Leches was as stale as it gets, I called again to talk to the manager and asked her to go and taste and call me back. She did call back and went to say that the milk gravy was fine and that I should enjoy that....WOW WOW WOW. I called them because I am a small business owner and wanted to give them a chance to make thins right......but no. They don't deserve any business GRADE D

Yelp
Excellent service and wonderful Indian food. Hope to try the buffet soon. Great bottle of wine also. Nice relaxing atmosphere & Nabin was pleasant & very helpful.
google avatar

Marisa I.

Yelp
Loved the food! Very authentic and tasty. The buffet has a lot of choices and our waiter was very attentive! Would highly recommend!

Douglas B.

Yelp
If you crave low to moderately quality Indian food served by a cheerful staff, this is the place for you Similar to most of the Indian restaurants in Houston, the quality of the food is not high On a positive note, the staff was friendly and efficient If you want good quality Indian food, go to Pondicheri or Kirans
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Large venue... Great space with a bar area. The place is also fitted with speakers that sound great. However, the microphone didnt sound as great. Perhaps the host did not know how to hold the mic or speak well into it. Due to a heavy rain, the power went out before I arrived. My only prayers was that the food was not off temperature. After about 30-40 minutes the power came back on... "Let there be light...." The food was tasty, but I think I was looking for more curry flavor. The Samosas were great and fresh. The wait staff was clearly stressed and hopefully it is because of the circumstances. Not sure if I will return for a regular order.
google avatar

Annie G.

Yelp
Went for Mother's Day for lunch buffet. Social distancing was being followed with the tables spaced out and servers wearing masks. Last time we came for the buffet was in 2011, where we were blown away by the variety and food. This time only had a few vege options to pick from. Maybe because of Covid the selection has gone down. Service & food flavor was still good though.
google avatar

nathalie m.

Yelp
Always drive by this place and finally decided to stop by today. Ordered samosas for take out. They come 2 per order. It's an old restaurant well maintained, pretty big and they also offer a buffet. My order came pretty quickly and it was nice and warm. Got home all excited to enjoy my samosas. Wanted to give it 2 stars for it is too expensive for that size. $6.44 for 2 average size samosas. And they give you an absurd amount of dipping sauce for 2 small samosas. The 3rd star was admittedly given because they tasted oh so good. At those prices though, I don't think I'll return.
google avatar

Genna R.

Yelp
We ate here for dinner and had the Ashiana Feast. It was all excellent! If you're in the area check it out because this place definitely deserves to be busier then it is.
google avatar

Rishab S.

Yelp
Poor, very poor restaurant. Very expensive compared to other better restaurants in houston.. The quantity is not sufficient to finish your Indian bread & rice... Moreover the food doesn't taste like it should... I am from india and I think they should change the name of their restaurant as this doesn't taste like Indian food! Moreover, the attitude of waiters sucks... Will never come back here.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Yesterday I ordered two chicken tandoori dinners, a Lamb saag dinner, and a lamb roghan josh dinner. I asked that the tandoori chicken be made mild. It was extremely spicey. We received one paltry Styrofoam container of cucumber, onion and some other stuff. The tandoori dinners were supposed to come with vegetable biryani. We won't be back.

Troy R.

Yelp
I've eaten Indian food from Los Angeles to Atlanta and points in between. The food here is amazing, the service impeccable and their ambiance is wonderful. From the mango lasse to the chicken curry to the carrot pudding the food was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dawn G.

Yelp
Excellent, clean and friendly. Indian food can be pricey but trust me, you want it to be from a nice place. I won't go anywhere else now.
google avatar

Seema K.

Yelp
Okay ! Nothing out of box. Could be better. Requested onsite tandoor and they were very rude on phone, when they could say we are unable to help.

Yelp
I had been to here 10 years ago.I happened to drive nearby on March 21st 2019.I decided to eat here.It was buffet.I saw both vegetarian and meat curry.I saw a salad bar and dessert.Servers often fill my glass of water.Great job.I live near the Mahatma Gandhi area.I may not visit here.If you live nearby, please visit!

Yelp
When we lived on the west side of town we were a regular at Ashiana. You could find us there every Sunday for their lunch buffet. Now that we have moved about 25 miles away, we make the drive about once a month. The food is amazing. The service is great. If you like Indian food, you will love Ashiana. If you haven't tried Indian food, visit during weekday lunch or Sunday lunch and try their buffet. You will be glad you did. Ashiana is our favorite restaurant.
google avatar

Tianna H.

Yelp
Fresh. Good naan. A little on the mild side (spicy /heat wise) for my taste. The lunch buffet had a number of vegetarian options but not a ton compared to the extensive meat options. The temperature of the food was only warm, not hot. All that being said, it's good and I'll probably give it another shot since it's another nearby indian option. As a person with sensory processing disorder also on the autism spectrum, not having overhead music to drown out some of the sharp sounds of cutlery on plates and chewing is about to make me claw the walls but maybe (hopefully) the sound system is on the fritz or something. ‍‍‍

Yelp
Neat place! Went for dinner on a weeknight. It wasn't crowded at all and we were seated right away. The staff is very friendly and want to make your dining experience a good one. They have full bar . Ordered Goan Fish Curry, which was pretty tasty. Why only four stars? They didn't have some of the items that were on the menu. I would love to go back again...
google avatar

Luba D.

Yelp
We have been going to this place for years and made sure we ordered take out at least twice a month to support them for the past 15 months. Not doing this anymore: orders 45 minute late, missing third of items, sloppy packaging. Not a word of apology when waited for 45 minutes past pick up time. I guess they don't need our business anymore. Very disappointed.

Prabin B.

Yelp
I never want to miss visiting this place every time I travel to Houston. The manager is really chill and accompanying. Thanks that I found this place while it was hard for me getting to fresh and delicious food while away from home. The soothing background music and the bar is something special. Highly recommended restaurant!

Yelp
The best Indian Food so far. Will recommend to anyone that is looking for a large menue

Yelp
Excellent service, food was great. My daughter and I love Indian food, this place is nice.

Jacquelyn M.

Yelp
They are serving sample plates for now in lieu of a buffet.. for the price you pay it was amazing! Two different meat choices, rice, lentils, a vegetarian option, dessert and naan! Customer service was awesome as always.. Discovered this hidden jewel 15 yrs ago and am still loving it!! Covers all the pallets..
google avatar

Mereen J.

Yelp
Been here twice but never wrote a review! The first time was for a birthday party for a 1 year old so we were in the private room and food was brought torus. The food was very good that time. However my family and I came on a Sunday after church for the lunch buffet and we were NOT pleased! Being Indians, we know how our cuisine should taste and in my honest opinion we all felt that all the curries tasted the same as if the same masala was used. Though there were so many items, they were all salty. I did enjoy the desserts and at the very end they brought us warm towels to wipe our hands with which was nice but I'm not sure how sanitary it was. I don't think we would ever return since there are so many other Indian restaurants out there that have better flavor sand selections! Sorry :(

Sunny K.

Yelp
Best Indian Restourant at the energy corridor. Father and Son both are very humble to make your visit memorable!

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
Fantastic place. Went here when visiting houston and the food was amazing. owner gave us a sample appetizer as well. friendly people and amazing food. 4 stars only because the service could be a bit faster but the place is great

Yelp
This is a great nearby lunch option for work. All of the buffet options are tasty, and a good variety too! The price is maybe a smidge expensive, though I shouldn't complain for the quality of food that's provided.
