We purchased in the past from Ashley Furniture and I should have stopped right there!!!! I should have never bothered going back, because this time was full of BULL! This purchased was a Bedroom Set (that was advertised) we also got qn sz mattress and a shag rug with the matting, spending about $1500. We asked for a discount since we were military, previous customers and buying a lot. We were told they couldn't do much because the rug was coming from another vendor, but the Mgr Mr. Er! said yes on the rug, $100.00 off. We placed the order, was told 3wks because of the great sale, and coming from another vendor on the rug. I held my breathe, because here it comes, the items came early. BUT the rug was damaged to the core! It was DIRTY looking grey and black ALL AROUND THE EDGES, 5X7 shag rug; what we ordered was a Method White........The delivery guy immediately caught it! He at once called it in. Ms. Ss! said she will order a new one, we took pictures and it was written on the delivery ticket. Fine, right? Nope, because the very next day Ms. Ss called and said, oh no the floor manager said it was discounted because we got it off the floor, it was the FLOOR MODEL! We disagreed to that fact. They said, they do not have NEW RUGS! ONLY USED (here we go....) Lies and more lies (get it right Ashley people), so now we gotta wait on our sales rep Ms. SP and manager Mr. Er to return. The sales rep was told to tell us, it was discounted and they do not have new rugs, and she got off the phone, never heard from her again. Mr. Er blamed Ms. Ss and said she needs to handled it. We did this back and forth until I contact the bank, they got involved and Mr. Er told us they will honor Ms. Ss decision since she wrote on the ticket to order us a NEW ONE. They were nice, calling us every step of the way, it's been ordered and a new one and it will be here soon. (Remember, they do not have new rugs, right?) Then it comes in sooner, here is the KICKER and BULL: It's discolored AGAIN and not what we ordered. The delivery guy already knew what to say, telling us "it's the next best thing, Ashley told him to tell us" They could have told us that from the beginning, .... Come on Ashley, don't penny pinch us. They made the call to tell Ms. Ss, about the rug, then I get on the phone telling her they selling us BULL and then she begain raising her voice, I couldn't say a word and hangs up in my face. All 3 workers witnessed her attitude towards me, the customer. So the delivery guys took the discolored, used, next to the best thing rug back! Wow! what an experience. Never in this life time Ashley, no more, get you some more people that are not concern with just selling anything. Never should this have happen, never should Ms. Ss raised her voice and attacked me verbally. She the representative/spoke person for Ashley. Never should Mr. Er made a deceitful promise just to pacify the customer. Bad service, bad experience. Never will shop there, take me off your email, adv list!
