Asian Cafe

This was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever ordered. I got the Mongolian beef and what I actually received was a container full of onions with barely any beef in sight. Just look at the picture. That mess of onions is what I was forced to leave behind because it was impossible to eat. There was more onion than actual food. The flavor was weak, the beef was scarce and chewy, and the sauce did nothing to help. It felt like they tossed in a handful of meat just for show and hoped I wouldn’t notice. The worst part is the price. For something that tastes this bad and offers so little value, it’s borderline robbery. I’ve had better meals from mall food courts at half the price. Avoid this place unless you’re in the mood to overpay for greasy onions pretending to be Mongolian beef.

I may have to try in person because delivery was not good. The sesame chicken tasted old and freezer burnt, the other entrees mostly looked and tasted identical but with slightly different sauce and also didn't taste fresh. It tasted like everything had been prepared and held over a day or more. And most of it was cabbage.

Love it here! Food was amazing and the service was nice and quick! Definitely coming back. Exactly what I was craving.

Was lucky to find this place a couple of years ago while visiting. The pho is really tasty. There seems to be only one server, but you wouldn't know it because he's that good. We make it a point to hit this place up every time we're in town.

We walked in and got sat in a couple minutes. The server was very attentive even though it seemed like he was the only one there. The pho I had was delicious I finished it all. My dad ordered the jalapeño chicken and shrimp with fried rice and egg drop soup. It was all good and satisfying. The portions are great for the price.

Is this suppose to have flavor? The noodles are dry and absolutely no flavor. Don't waste your hard earned money.

I had the Mongolian Beef, it was good, not as spicy as I was expecting, would have been better if it had some carrots. My wife had the Orange Chicken, much more than she could eat in one meal. We went in around 4:30 PM, there was one other group finishing their meal as we were being seated. Food came out quickly and was hit and fresh.

this place is AWESOME!! they play good music, the food is fresh and hot, staff is very polite. i cannot get over the food, it was delicious. even my tea was good. love this place. ^.^

Ordered teriyaki chicken with dark meat mixed vegetables. not only was it not dark meat. It was white meat that was very dry. They put on this red orange sauce like a dye. It was horrible. I won't be back.

beef lo mein was very greasy and not great flavor wise. I haven't been inside but I don't really care to, so I can't speak on the service or atmosphere. I'm surprised they've stayed open this long. Maybe I'm the crazy one

The beef pho was pretty awful to be honest. The broth had a funky stale smell, lacked flavor and appeared watered down and pale. Beef was scant. Sprouts looked expired. I poured the leftover juice down the drain which I never do, but this was an exceptionally underwhelming experience. Should've went to the place further out but I didn't feel like bothering with traffic. Never again.

I took my mother here for her Mother's Day lunch it was her choice. There were four people in our party and we had appetizers and each had an entrée. I also ordered a meal to go. The food was subpar and the service was even worse. When out check came a 25% gratuity was added to the check. I asked the waiter way a gratuity was added if there were only 4 people in our lunch party and that I would like it removed as we were all going to tip individually. the head waiter removed the gratuity and I paid the check. The waiter then came to our table and started yelling at me about not wanting to pay the added gratuity. I asked him politely to lower his voice as people were starting to stare. He refused and I again asked him to leave my table. He again refused. This was such a horrible experience and we will never be returning to the restaurant. The food as gone down in quality over the years. And the service is even worse. I would definitely not recommend ever going to this restaurant.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT I arrived at 9:20 they say they are open until 10:00 and they were already closed. Not only was I turned down but the gentleman inside was throwing his hands up at me with attitude telling me to leave when it clearly says 10:00?? Terrible terrible terrible

Food is ok... but the service was THE WORST! Grumpiest server/waiter EVER! There was a sign at the door stating "no sushi available". I asked why or what's going on with a rude response of "I don't know! I'm not the owner!" No welcome or thank you AT ALL! (Even after an unearned tip). Asked for extra sauce... $3 extra. Asked for a to-go cup... $3 extra. Extra chicken on my dish... $3 extra. I guess the "thank you. Come again" was $3 extra too!

I went through the drive thru, the man at window was extremely rude. It was taking a long time, so I asked him for a small cup of water for my toddler in the back seat and he told me it was a dollar, I asked him to add it to my ticket but he said it had to be cash because he already ran my card. I scraped up a dollar worth of change, but he would not give me the water until I came up with the very last penny. The next day my eyes were swollen almost closed, my face was bloated and my entire body was inflamed. I will never go back. It was a horrible experience.

I got a combination fried rice with beef, chicken and shrimp. I had plenty of beef and chicken only two shrimp. I dug thru it cause they place the 2 shrimp as if was a bunch more. Didn't find any more!!

Ok, so I've been here a couple of times and I'm finally able to review them. Price: Ever time I have been to the establishment I've gone for the lunch specials, so for me $9-$12 (including tip) wasn't a bad deal. Service: We always go in groups of 2-6 and they are very attentive, even when they are busy. They ask if you have questions, automatically refill our drinks, and ask if we need to-go boxes. No one has ever been rude to us. Appearance: Overall they look like a clean establishment. Lunch time is usually when a restaurant gets slammed but it's always been very tidy. Quality: The food isn't anything spectacular, but at the same time it isn't bad. Like if I had to pick between Panda Express and here, you'll like this place more. I've never had issues with my food being cold, so not sure what that's about. There was only one time that I had a beef plate and the meat was super chewy. Is this a must try? No. But like I said earlier fast food Asian or a little better quality? Well you make that choice. But there are definitely more genuine restaurants out there than Asian. So for that reason, I give them an average score of 3 stars just because it's nothing that I haven't tried elsewhere.

Wanted some Chinese food the other night and went here because it was in walking distance. I would say though that I was very disappointed and left wishing I had spent my money elsewhere. Me and my husband got the general sous chicken that came with fried rice and a spring roll and we ordered the fried dumplings. We got a very generous portion of the chicken but a sad portion of fried rice that didn't look or taste like any I have had before. The chicken did not taste like general sous to be and was lacking in sauce. The dumplings and spring rolls were the only thing we were pleased with. They also were not doing sushi which was disappointing.

This is hands down the best Asian food in Corpus Christi. Every single time it's always superb! Nothing but respect for the owners for having such amazing food! always satisfied every time!

This was an ok restaurant. I pick up drive thru all of the time since yalees closed. Just wish it was all chicken breast in the dishes instead of thigh meat. Makes the food taste greasy.

Chandra was EXCELLENT waitress. Sweet girl with the best waitress manners I've encountered in a while. Our food was HOT (literally burned my tongue) - and delicious- give them a try! It was a very satisfying meal all around BUTTTT! It was during NO rush hour lunch or dinner times.... So maybe that's why everything was INCREDIBLY FRESH! Try going for a late lunch on a Tuesday or Wednesday- you won't regret.

Had such an amazing experience. It really doesn't look like much from the outside but when You walk in and get a whiff of that Asian cuisine smell... you know you picked the right place. Everything was great from the waiter who served us to the cooks who made it happen. We will definitely be back. It was our first time here and I am so glad I randomly picked the place when my baby told me he was craving oriental food.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. First time coming to this place and it will definitely be my last!! I'm pregnant and very sensitive to certain smells, mind you I've eaten this dish before at different places so I thought I should stick to what I know and ordered the sesame chicken. The texture, the flavor was not good at all and I let the server know I couldn't eat it and if it were possible to switch it out for something else. Instead of just politely telling me no, he continued to lecture me that it was not possible, food is too expensive to be wasting to make me another meal and I should know the food before ordering. He was completely rude about the whole situation. After telling him repeatedly okay and that I understood, it was fine I just wont eat it, he still continued on with his lecture. Then at the end of the meal he brings our bill still trying to charge me for a meal I did not even eat!!!

never EVER again. this was my first and last time there. food was cold. service was AWFUL. i tried to return my chicken because i found this after one bite and got very grossed out and didn't want to pay for it. owner came over and argued with me and my mom for about 10 minutes and didn't do anything about HIS food that his business is giving to people . server called the cops on us because we didn't wanna pay for the "chicken" and was recording us. how unprofessional can you be? never again. disgusting. and rude people.

If you're looking for convenience and a large quantity of food this might be your spot to check out. I wouldn't say it's anything to write home about but I wasn't all that disappointed. I think overall it is just lacking the general Asian flavor you get at most other Asian restaurants. They do have a drive through option and some interesting combination platters you can choose from. Prices are different and the amount of food differentiates between lunch and dinner. If you are looking for a flavorful soup the hot and sour we got here was quite delicious and when you order a veggie dish they don't just give you one kind of vegetable but a variety which I honestly really appreciate. Overall, like the review shows 3/5 but hey I would still eat here again because of the fast service and option for the drive through as well as a great location in town.

The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. The portions were kind of skimpy. We ordered from the lunch menu at 11. The waiter brought us everything we asked for, but He seemed somewhat unfriendly. I don't think we will go back.

There's only one word to describe this establishment. Amazing. From the first time I stopped by, just smelling the broth of ph alone made me want to return. Along with the customer service being as excellent as it is. You will always be satisfied with you're order. I'm a regular now, and I'm happy to have found this place. I recommend trying the ph!

The food was just okay, nothing fantastic. We ordered the BoBo Platter which is an combo appetizer. It had satay beef (plain and simple and which was very chewy), 2 egg rolls (which were okay - simple and lacking flavor but okay), ribs (which contained very little meat), and a chunk of fried chicken (yes a chunk- we chose not to eat) Our server was not familiar with the menu at all. When we asked him a question about the menu, he replied "oh, I don't know" and then stood there instead of offering to find out. We actually had to ask him "Can you ask someone please" Our food was served warm at best but nowhere near hot.

The service is quick! The chicken is amazing! I love how they put the flavor into it and WOW! I mean WOW with the spice included! If you want spicy food mixed with orange chicken/chicken Asian food this is it!

This place is trash. General tso shrimp was terrible. There was so much breading and it was soggy and drenched in sauce. Rice was dry. Pho barely had any meat/noodles. Sushi was not good. Could not even finish our food it was so bad. Do not waste your time or money going here.

More changes to the negative for this place. #1 - Aby is RUDE RUDE RUDE. could care less if you have food allergies and don't get what you order. While the food is decent, if you have food allergies and have special requests you are out of luck.

We have been looking for a new restaurant and this place was it! Best egg drop soup we've tried & the service was quick and fresh ! Really enjoyed it will definitely be back

Have been wanting to try this place for about six months now finally got around to it and I regret that decision not only was the food horrible but the owner is a real piece of shit and never have I met an owner who talks over you and gets bothered when you ask for condiments my whole ordering experience was just him being bothered with questions I ask because it was my first time. I did not expect for the food to be as horrible as It was!!! the rice out of everything that's the easiest to make was dry it was disgusting... place need to be shut down with such horrible food

Worst service ever I called spoke with the manager super rude. I tell him I'm allergic to pineapples and nowhere on their menu did it specify that in their mixed veggies come with pineapple that being said, as you can see in the picture there are pineapple chunks. I asked him to remake the order without it he stated because I ordered the way it is that's the way it is, he would not remake my order. He would not take back the order he would not do anything but argue with me the entire time on the phone and then he had the audacity to say I do not understand you after he argued with me for 15 minutes on the phone now all of a sudden you do not understand me. I have been here several times never once have I had an issue. I've ordered this meal several times never once have I had pineapple. He tells me it's my fault because I didn't ask what's in your veggies last I checked once again on the menu, it states mixed vegetables, not mixed vegetables and fruits would not recommend this place to anyone after the service that I received.

Talk about a waste of money!Spent a lot of money through Drive Thru.Food tasted old.Can' believe I tipped!The only thing that was edible was the Egg Drop soup and the fortune cookies!Come on people .Give the people what they pay for.Probably the worst Asian food I have eaten in Corpus.I was even afraid to give it to my dogs.Be ye warned people!

While on vacation we stopped by this plane to eat and we were not disappointed. My husband had the Mongolian Beef and loved it, my daughter had the Honey Chicken and loved it, and I had the Beef Lo Mein and loved it. The dinner portions are huge! I was pleasantly surprised the breading on the chicken wasn't as thick as thought it was going to be when I tried my daughters dish. My husband's had a lot of bamboo shoots. Mine had plenty of noodles and Beef! The waiter, although not the friendliest, was still attentive to our needs. The location was nice and clean. I also had the wonton soup which was good and my husband had the sweet and sour which he liked. We ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls appetizer and they came with 5 mini egg rolls, they were good but a bit on the small side of you're more than 2 people. All in all we will be back!

The food is OK... not anything to rave about. After three visits, I can say I'll never go back again . I placed my order and it was ready in less than 3 minutes. Makes me wonder! The thing that left the worst impression, was the RUDENESS of the owner/manager!!! Hateful, not grateful for his paying customer. Never again!! The rice was hard , cold and under cooked. I suspect they use the same brown sauce on most of their entrées.

The food here is HORRIBLE. We ordered two sushi rolls that came WARM, so I didn't dare eat it! And the food that was supposed to be hot came out lukewarm, with stale rice, and bland chicken! This place wasn't exactly cheap either... Approx. $50 down the drain here... never again!

Worst place ever. Wanted to have family dinner and our food wasn't hot. The Curry we ordered had no flavor, and the " Owner " had the was really rude and being ugly towards us for asking to get another dish. Saying they could smell the food from there even tho it had no flavor or scent. Then recorded us as we walked out being rude and threatening to call the cops on us. If I could give a Zero star I would.

the person who answered the phone today was very rude when I was asking about the prices of the dumplings(mind you my usual spot was closed so this was my second option) they told me to go look online that everything should be there. So I asked if he knew the price and he said of course I do but you are asking too many questions like what ????? Very horrible service, horrible attitude sorry you are miserable with your life and can't handle your restaurant/customer service job. The man even told me fuck you very UNPROFESSIONAL. I was just craving some dumplings, so don't go here if you don't want your day ruined :)

In town for business and the 1st place I stopped at was an epic fail. I ordered a new rock and roll and a handsome boy roll. The rolls were yummy. I will definitely stop here the next time I'm in town. They had a few other options that I must try..

Safety First - So while having a late lunch here a Large Black Ford Super Duty Platinum Edition truck came roaring though the parking lot at a high rate of speed and making a fast maneuver before coming to a stop very close to a parked car.... two ladies and a baby in a stroller were walking next to and towards to the car. This caught them off guard and frighted them, understandably so. This truck the backup in a reckless manner, the moved forward and back and forward and back a few times in order to "park properly" two young men exited the truck and had a seat in side the restaurant. One of them then walked back in to the kitchen. Well either this was the owners family or employee but either way it was quite unprofessional and dangerous and scared the ladies with the baby in the parking lot. Well now to the food review... hot and sour soup was good. Was provided an huge amount of crispy noodles. Entree was a little greasy but had good flavor. Veggie were crisp and meat was cooked well, moist and seasoned. Server was average. I'll take one star for the actions of the off duty employee or family member.

Saw this spot driving by on my daily route and being gluten-free never wanted to stop here due to one time called and they didn't carry gluten-free soy sauce. However, I saw a "Pho" sign and was like bam let's try it, the service, interior, and staff were all on point and offered excellent accommodations. The Thai tea is amazing, as well as their regular sweet tea. They have a full sushi bar, lobster tank, and a few TV's to watch. I got a Rainbow roll and some Pho with beef, it was all very good. Saves me so much time now from driving all the way across town to another Pho place. This is my new Pho favorite and it's better than most places in town.

I was in town for business and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan. What am excellent choice. The veggies were crisp and there was lots of chicken. The steamed rice wad enough for 2. Next time I am in Corpus I will return. Thanks for a great experience.

Food was *just* OK, but my boyfriend and I felt very rushed. Rushed to choose an entree, rushed to finish. We noticed others around our table were also rushed to order. The place wasn't busy at all (four tables were being served), so, I'm unsure what the hurry was. Food was served promptly...perhaps much quicker than we were expecting. We weren't asked if we needed anything else when our food was brought out; I had to ask for the proper condiments for the particular dish I had ordered. Waitress was not friendly. She was *not* rude--simply not friendly. Didn't greet people with a smile and when we left she barely seemed to want to be bothered to acknowledge us. Oh well. Won't be returning, unfortunately. We spent a total of 40 minutes there--from the time we were seated to when we got up after paying. It's Saturday night and we had not expected to only spend half an hour out at dinner! We're home now and I felt compelled to write this review.

Just had a pleasant lunch here with my boyfriend. We stopped in and were greeted by most of the workers. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Our server was kind and very attentive. We ordered the sesame chicken and beef lo mein which were both pretty good. The sesame chicken could've been a tad bit crispier but I didn't mind since the portions are HUGE! You can definitely share an entree with two or three people easily. All in all, it's a nice, cheap place to go eat.

Called in an order of curry shrimp and it was ready for pick-up a few minutes later. You can even pick it up thru the drive-thru! Nothing fancy, but a good deal for lunch. $10 get an entree, rice and an egg roll

This is a perfectly acceptable lunch or dinner option. It's nothing to write home about but I've eaten here a couple times and the food has been good. I usually get the Chicken Lo Mein or the Beef Pho. My husband likes the wonton soup. Service is hit or miss as far as attentiveness but everyone is friendly.

I came back here and saw they have some new stuffs for sushi. I ordered the magic mushroom and spicy crab salad. Both of them are so wonderful. I will try the volcano roll for next time

In town this week on business and I noticed this establishment on my way to the office. I decided I wanted to give it a try at lunch and called in my order for pickup. Lots of menu items to choose from so I went for the Moo Goo Gai Pan. Two others in the office ordered as well, the shrimp fried rice and the jalapeno chicken. When I arrived at the restaurant the order was ready for us. Getting it back to the office which was just under a mile away, the food was still nice and hot. I really enjoyed the Moo Goo Gai Pan, the veggies were fresh and still had a bit of crunch to them, just the way I like it. The quantity of food was plenty, one of the eaters had enough to have a second meal from. Glad I noticed this restaurant today. I am going to go back before I leave Corpus and try the Pho.

Went to this restaraunt 2 times and never got let down. The food is delicious but better yet the customer service is outstanding!

This place is very close to me.But I feel sorry to my little one that because I pick this place !How terrible food!I order VN combo noddle soup ，tempura shrimp roll and eel sushi！Nothing tastes good！anyway I like the Tokyo hibachi most, even there was not clean enough!

Clean and great presentation with very friendly and attentive staff! We enjoyed pho, their vermicelli noodles, and Hot and Sour Soup! All so delicious and came out in a timely manner! Good food, good place, great for Chinese food, sushi, a little bit of pho.

This place is awful! My wife and I have been eating Asian food since we first married 43 years ago. The Happy Family dinner made me very "unhappy ", to say the least. My wife is an excellent cook so my standards are high. She commented that they use cheap rice. My fried rice was simply steamed rice with a hint of teriyaki sauce. My plate was hot yet the shrimp was lukewarm. The food was served too quickly which means the food is already cooked, just warmed up. Very sloppy, tasteless food. I was impressed with the young waiter. He was extremely pleasant and attentive. Will not return. Will stick to our favorite. The Takeniwa Asian Fusion Restaurant on SPID.

Exellent service and food. I gave this place a try because my friends, he brought me here for lunch. I ordered sushi for my lunch: last samurai, las vegas and also the rockport roll. All of them are amazing. My friend got the pho noodle soup which is way better than pho saigon or hu dat restaurant. I'm very amazed about the food in here, which I did not expect too much. Highly recommended this place for sushi lover. The new sushi chef just arrived from NYC so he brought new style and new menu... Love this place....

The food is so good and the chef very creative. This is a great place to eat. Very friendly environment. I will have to come here more often
