"Asian Corned Beef has opened its newest location of the Asian/deli fast food chain at 19102 Woodward Avenue. The restaurant had originally eyed another location just west of Woodward at 8 Mile, but residents rallied against the necessary neighborhood variance. This is the seventh location for the corned-beef eggroll serving local chain and takes the place of a long-vacant building that was once a McDonald’s." - Joy Summers

The place is always clean and the cashier comes off mean but she is nice. The food was horrible. I ordered three eggrolls, lobster which was so greasy I just threw it away, steak which was so dry I was not happy with the taste, and corn beef, no meat in it at all. I would usually rate this place high but no I'm tired of giving my money to places that is just throwing my food together any way.

Corn beef and pastrami rolls are absolutely delicious. Nice crunch on the outside and super flavorful on the inside. Customer service needs improvement. It’s definitely worth checking out!!

Very clean establishment. Ordered for pick up. Staff was pleasant and was attentive to our order. Ordered with a group. Lobster egg roll was by far my favorite. Also ordered the corn beef and swiss , and ground beef with peppers and cheese. Future order, I won't add cheese. It was a little to much for my palette. Also, not recommending the deviled eggs. Overall, a great experience. Parking was easy.

Google
Service was absolutely terrible. When I got there everybody was just standing around playing on their phones. After I finally ordered I was handed a soggy sandwich wrapped in a plastic bag. I absolutely will not eat there again! Not only was the food mediocre, the service was absolutely the worst I've ever received!

12/3/24- First and last time ever going here. I called in my order at 5pm. The person who took my order sounded like he had the speaker on because I could hear everything going on in the background and I had to keep repeating my order because he couldn't hear me. I arrived in 10 minutes only to find they only accept cash. I go to find the nearest ATM, and due to the area being a high crime area, none of the nearby banks have outside ATMs and at this time, the banks are closed. I finally return with cash at 6pm. I say, the person who took my order should inform people over the phone that you are cash only. The Cashier, only gives me a deadpan look that clearly says "I don't care." While behind her playing on his phone is another employee. unprofessional. The food consisted of 2 tiny egg rolls, all bread with a dollop of meat, an order of battered mushroom (8 pieces) and approximately 10 onion rings, with a classic corned beef sandwich and a really old soggy limp pickle. $34 and nasty. I won't be trying any of the other locations, but I hope they have better food and customer service than this. Avoid this place, their attitude says they really don't want or care if you come here or not.

I had high hopes for this establishment. I really enjoy egg rolls in particular corn beef egg rolls. My boss suggested this place after a long day at work. My boss ordered (4) hamburger egg rolls and I ordered chicken & Swiss egg roll and a corn beef & Swiss egg roll. Unfortunately I didn’t get my corn beef but instead two chicken. Granted I ate the eggrolls the next day they weren’t good. The meat was not flavorful at. The establishment is pretty and very clean. Nice fish tank. Decent customer service beside the mix up. Ample parking. Took about 5 minutes. Total $18 I will try again and eat in the parking lot.

Yelp
Fun concept. Pulled in and a bunch of glass in the parking lot. Bars up at the register. Staff friendly and service was quick. I believe they were preheated under a hot lamp. Decent flavor but could use more sauce inside. Enjoyed the wonton crunch with the profile of corned beef and sauerkraut though.

Yelp
I only go for the rolls- and they are always amazing. However, the spicy ones are starting to slip- no spice and no tang. New pepper provider needed asap. Also- you cant rush the rolls, had one that was still cold in the middle.

Yelp
First of all if you're doing a takeout order and you ordering a sandwich do not pack the sandwich with the wet pickles because your sandwich would become wet and soggy. If you're called a sandwich shop and you make sandwiches specifically this one making corned beef sandwiches I would expect that there would be more corned beef than coleslaws on the sandwich . My sandwich might as will been a coleslaw sandwich. There was very little amount of corn beef present on the sandwich to be considered a corned beef sandwich. The quality of the corned beef was not even great. Although the Ryebread seems to be fresh and soft with a good chewy crust around the ends of the bread, it wasn't a hit with me. The onion rings were good. I won't be returning anytime soon for the sandwiches . I guess next time I'll try the famous corned beef eggs rolls.

Yelp
My cousin and I went in after I reminded her that I had yet to experience a Corned Beef Eggroll. The location is well kept and spacious to allow for appropriate distancing. I ordered one each of the Corned Beef, Crab, Lobster Eggrolls. As we were waiting for our orders to come up, several patrons came in ordering deviled eggs. Being curious, I added two to my own order. Given that an eggroll is typically an appetizer, the expectation wasn't that I would be full after eating them. These are also smaller than the traditional eggrolls offered at Chinese restaurants. Each eggroll was delicious! I did not regret adding the deviled eggs to my order, I only wished I'd ordered more than two.

Yelp
We went the other day to grab dinner because we've heard so much about Asian Corned Beef. Many people have said how good their food was. Needless to say, their corned beef and cabbage rolls were a major disappointment. They were very bland, corned beef was overcooked, and you could not taste the cabbage at all. The okra was about the best thing we ate. Not to mention the sign on the door stating Cash Only.

Yelp
This company has the potential to become a Detroit street food staple with Coney Island. The locations are in the more urban areas but when you walk inside you will likely be impressed with interior. It is well thought without coming off as stereotypical. When you think of the name of the place, it can send you for a spin. Yes, they have corned beef but where does the "Asian" come in? The answer: egg rolls They create different combinations of Deli meats, cabbage, and Swiss cheese, wrap them up, and fry them into crispy egg rolls. They have about 20 different ones to choose from starting with the tradition corned beef, cabbage, and Swiss all the way to dessert is you would like a NY cheesecake egg roll. They are always made to order; hot in the bag and in hand! I would consider this on of those late night indulgence spots. Two is all you really need. Might as well top it off with an Arizona tea at the gas station next block over. Interesting street food that I hope when people ask what should they get while in Detroit, someone suggests Asian Corned Beef (egg rolls)

Yelp
Heard this place just opened up so I had to come and check it out. I ordered a corned beef egg roll and boy was it good. The Spicy ones were amazing too! Staff was super nice and got my order out hot and fast. I live close by and I will def. be coming back to this location -- glad they finally opened up.

Yelp
First off this lil egg roll is like the size of my two fingers I bite into it there is 3x the egg roll than there is meat and cheese in it like wtf if the cook bought this from that restaurant he would be fucking pissed this location is horrible raw and hardly any corn beef they also used like 4 wraps for one small ass eggroll they were all like that I bought three waste of money

Yelp
OK being a Detroit native and visiting my hometown for a short time last week I was in the area of Highland Park and decided to stop for corn beef corn beef is One of my favorite foods eat when in Detroit well ...probably elsewhere but now this sandwich. It was missing meat and flavor and cheese alI requested but none barely there it was served in a plastic bag which I could appreciate if there was meat to have steamed bread. the pickle with its juice which covered the exterior of the bread because it was inside the plastic bag. Yuck !The staff was joking and having fun behind the glass, place was clean and I could tell because it was also empty I don't know about this place but I will never go back or refer.

Yelp
I was very skeptical about what corn beef egg rolls would taste like but I was pleasantly surprised. The egg rolls were very good! I had the corn beef egg rolls and the lobster egg roll. I'd order both again. I also had the corn beef sandwich which was even better. I'd definitely eat here again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their customer service needs some work.

Yelp
The customer service is through the roof! Neemo was very helpful and made my day! Highly recommended!

Yelp
The girl working the cash register was extremely rude from the moment we walked up to the window. I don't know if she forgot that she was AT WORK... but if all you are being PAID to do speak to people in a courteous manner and take orders, then make like Nike and JUST DO IT! Being kind is easy... but apparently making an honest living turns some peoples' attitudes ROTTEN! Lose the stank face... it's bad for business! As for the ONE EGG ROLL I purchased, it wasn't freshly fried and was room temperature. GROSS!

Yelp
This location is beautiful and different from the others and the food was great. Customer service was also greater than expected.

Yelp
I have been patronizing Asian Corned Beef for over 20 years. I have always been satisfied until of late. I have tried my favorite, (Corned Beef/Onion Roll, Swiss Cheese/extra mustard) at two different locations in the past month. The first was on the Westside and the second one was today (January 22, 2020) at the Woodward location. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. The quality of the sandwich has gone down tremendously over the years. I understand that you might have to raise prices to keep up with the economy and to pay your staff, but, if customers aren't satisfied, your business will not last! The sandwich was very light in meat! I don't mind paying $10.00 for a good sandwich that leaves me full until dinner. I will not pay that amount for a sandwich, that when I get through eating, I'm still hungry! Asian better get it together, if not they have lost yet another customer and I don't see the Woodward location lasting long.
