"If you’re looking to yoink stale california rolls as they glide past at glacial speeds, by all means, do so at this conveyor belt sushi spot. But that’d be ignoring Asian Fusion’s finest contribution to the planet: their small but mighty “Chinese-Style” section of the menu devoted to Szechuan dishes. Direct your attention there, and there only—salt and pepper prawns have an airy crackle, ma po tofu is just as tangy as it is sweat-inducing, and the twice-cooked pork belly slices are tender with fat that melts like a Walla Walla tourist in August." - aimee rizzo

Google
I ordered menu prices sushi while they were doing the sushi bar and they literally just took sushi off the bar and put it on a plate after I told them I wanted the full sized thing from the menu not old stuff from their belt. So I got less then what I paid for and it was old and gross. Do not come here when the sushi bar is going, it's not good or worth it and you will get ripped off if you want fresh sushi.

I placed an online order for two entires (one with fried rice) and three sushi rolls. I also selected that I would like utensils with the order. I placed the order at 6:00 to be picked up 7:00. I arrived at 7:00 and finally found someone to talk to after waiting over 10 minutes. I told her I had an online order for 7:00, she said ok and walked away and I didn’t see her again. After waiting another 15 minutes, I left to go check in to my hotel room. My husband went back at 8:00 and said we had a pickup order. Another 30 minutes and he finally got our order. The hot foot was cold, we didn’t get the fried rice we ordered (and paid for). One sushi roll was basically cream cheese, the other two were fine. We only received one set of chopsticks for all orders. It was a terrible experience. It you are looking for sushi or Japanese food in Walla Walla go literally anywhere else.

Google
The place is always super busy when me and my partner go. But we also happen to go on Friday or Saturday, which are the busiest days of the week. But the food makes up for it every time. Their chicken katsu is the best and they have amazing crab puffs. The staff is always friendly as well

Anna Knight

Google
Never had a bad meal here; everything is always fresh and delicious. The Chinese dishes are out of this world and not like the other Chinese-American establishments around town. Prices are also very fair for the amount of food you get. Don't sleep on this place!

UPDATE: their carousel sushi is up and running! 1130-3! Happy hour carousel - no wait, just sit and eat!!! Update: we ate here on July 4. Delicious! I prefer the boiled beef (basically like a hotpot broth with really tender beef inside). We tried their boiled fish (similar dish with hot spiced broth with fish). I prefer the beef because it’s richer and has a bit more flavor. But both are good! Their dried style green beans are amazing. Worth it! Real examples of Chinese food!!!! Sushi is great, but have you had Cumin Beef or Sichuan Boiled Beef? Try finding this ANYWHERE in the area. We are so lucky to have this place in town. 10/10, for Chinese dishes! For value, get their tempura ramen! A good ramen with a side of tempura, YES PLEASE.

Google
I have ordered twice for delivery once in 2022 and now in Nov 2024. Very disappointing. Size portions are puny - a roll is 4 small pieces. We ordered 3 rolls and they were all crammed into one 3x5 tray. $40+ for the rolls, 3 oz of miso, spring rolls and wonton. Enough to feed 1 person. Never again.

Megan

Google
Looove their food! Prices are way better than the other place in town. I don't ever bother to go there anymore lol. Go get you some Asian fusion! Wish I didn't delete my latest pics of the sushi. The scorpion roll is my favorite along with the Salem roll without cream cheese 😊

Google
This is a vegetarian review. Most cultures including the Asian ones live on plants, but animal foods are "special" so most restaurants are based on meat or fish. It was a pleasure to find a menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan choices. The food was quickly prepared and nicely presented. The Vege Combo had 3 different Sushi (six each) (Sweet Potato was my favorite) Nigiri (another favorite) and a bowl of Miso soup. Next time I may try the Vegetable Tempura Bento Box or the Super Vege Roll. Or just sit at the moving plate long bar where you just grab off the moving conveyor belt whatever looks good from the six different vegetarian Sushi choices.

Alifereti M.

Yelp
The beef wqs saucy and flavorful. The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sushi was heavenly. 10/10. Will come back again soon.

Hannah R.

Yelp
Prices were good, gyoza was yummy. But the sushi within the roll was minced up instead of sliced salmon cubes. It was also warm as well. The spicy tuna hand roll was the same, minced up fish with avocado. The seaweed salad was good though for the price. But not as good as it could be.

Yelp
The waitresses don't seem to know the difference between ordering from the menu in order to get something that is freshly made....or grabbing something from the conveyor belt that's been circling round and round for who knows how long and putting it on the table in front of you. Gross. It's like they are expecting you to not know the difference. And they kinda of ignored us... Not the best service at all. They brought out small sakes when we ordered larges, order McDonald's to eat at the table next to us on their break which smells, and they serve no wine even though we are in wine country. What in God's name of sushi is this nonsense? Rolls are small so you need to order more so it's not much cheaper than the fancy nicer place, shiki. And the conveyor belt is only a lunch thing fyi.

Mary C.

Yelp
Best sushi in town! I have been going here for years and can honestly say it is the best it has ever been! I love their Takoyaki, all the additives and how much love is put into them. Their prices are the best out of all the sushi options in town and quality is top notch. I'm used to the conveyer belt being a lunch thing (great for a quick bite to eat when you have little time). The service is great, I always leave with a smile and money left for the waitress. One last thing, I love the decor and music! Very authentic! Don't let all the negative Nancys shy you away from this place, definitely a sushi place worth your time and money!

Chanpen B.

Yelp
The food are so delicious and also Matcha Bubble drink is my favorite, I love to enjoy my lunch. Excellent service . The atmosphere is very good.

Faiith Y.

Yelp
Asian fusion is one of my favorite restaurants if I need good sushi. The service is exceptional and a certain employee also remembered my order even though I only came 3 times! she was so sweet and made me appreciate the place even more. I'd say the sushi is really good, some rolls are better than others- you just have to experiment! They have gluten free options as well, I would recommend the house chow mei fun (gf) & the Walla Walla roll! The actual seating area and environment could be cleaner and decorated better- but overall I love eating here.

Donald G.

Yelp
Average at best. Ordered chicken yakisoba, got home and it was Chicken, beef and shrimp. Too far to return it. Fried rice was mediocre at best. I know I won't be back.

Parker P.

Yelp
Uninspired soup and sushi. Definitely disappointed. Service was not attentive. I am being generous with 3 stars.

Efrain V.

Yelp
Great friendly service food was pretty fast even though they were busy. Food was delicious no complains

Frances J.

Yelp
Good food, good service, ambiance could be improved and could be cleaner. Smelled very stale inside and like there's a layer of old grease everywhere

Sandra B.

Yelp
Food was top of all Thai restaurants for the food service and ambiance we have ever been to

Alex M.

Yelp
This is an unassuming restaurant that has good food at a good price. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The Chicken Yakisoba and Katsu are very good. So, is the Teriyaki Bowl. Dine in, take out--it's all good. I'm so glad to have this spot in my regular rotation.

Rose E.

Yelp
Sushi Box Quick friendly service. Tasty food. Tempura vegetables are wonderful

Max H.

Yelp
This place isn't bad, but don't get the sushi (or anything raw). The sushi didn't taste the freshest and I had food poisoning the next morning. This being said, the prices for large portions of food are quite fair- just stick with something cooked.

Richard V.

Yelp
Where do I begin? I hadn't had any Chinese food since moving to Walla Walla nearly five years ago. I put my faith in Asian Fusion, basing my decision on several favourable reviews. BIG mistake! When my order hadn't been delivered two hours later (!!), I called the restaurant. The hostess (?) informed me there was no delivery driver available. What?! I was furious, but kindly asked if she could find one, as I was by this time famished! She told me she'd deliver it herself (nice!) If I had only known what lay ahead, I'd have canceled my order. Now I must address the food: please stay with me whilst I charitably describe the FOOD; I can say with candor and without reservation, the food was... HORRIBLE... no, PUTRID! The appetizers (spring rolls and butterfly shrimp) were almost acceptable, but woefully inadequate (I even ordered two batches, amounting to about eight bites) Okay, moving on to the main course (Twice Cooked Pork Szechuan Style) Here, Asian Fusion (unknowingly till now) earned my "Worst Chinese Food Ever" award - and I've eaten it on four continents. The pork wasn't trimmed of FAT (on purpose?!), making each (small) slice of pork a 50/50 mix of pork (my favourite)... and FAT I ate two pieces, gagged (no kidding), then quit. I didn't touch the cabbage (?) leaves in the dish, as they looked weird. I paid $40.44 for this nightmare, threw away the main course, then ordered pizza - which rarely disappoints. Back to the scene of the crime: the (Chinese) hostess who delivered this monstrosity was kind and gracious, so I couldn't bring myself to either complain or request/demand a well-deserved refund (I'm still kicking myself!) I stoically held my tongue for three days before finally unleashing on all of you. I'm beyond stunned at just how thoroughly unpleasant my evening was... till my sausage pizza arrived.

Yelp
VEGAN REVIEW! On these hot summer days sometimes all you want is some sushi and some AC! We decided to hit up Asian Fusion to cool down and get some food, which turned out to be a good choice. They usually offer conveyor belt sushi but I'm guessing because of COVID they're only offering table service. We had the Veggie Combo which came with three kinds of veggie sushi. The tempura sweet potato roll originally came out with eel sauce (not marked on the menu) but they were nice enough to leave it for our non-vegan friends to eat and remade it vegan for us! The cucumber maki was very fresh, and the inari nigiri was amazing! Full of delicious, fresh sushi rice. The edamame was also super good, warm with the right amount of salt. The service was helpful and nice, although food came out a little slow. There were a few other tables occupied and it seemed like they were filling a number of takeout orders, so it makes sense. Overall it was a reasonable amount of time to spend having lunch and the price point was excellent. The atmosphere is classic sushi vibes, and everything was tidy. This is a great option for no frills, but delicious, sushi right off the main drag of downtown Walla Walla, and I would definitely come back for more veggie rolls!

Keely H.

Yelp
This has become my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Their veggie rolls are delicious! Prices are good and delivery is fast

Katherine R.

Yelp
They charged me $552 for my $55 dollar meal last night. AND it gave my friend diarrhea a month ago. They need to hire a translator to help with their finances.

Steve M.

Yelp
The people are nice. The sushi was not great. My wife liked her rice bowl. My sushi was too salty and did not taste freshly made. Not what I expected from a sushi restaurant.

Audrey O.

Yelp
The food is amazing here!!! The conveyor belt is open from 11:30-2:30. They are very friendly and the service is great! I've been here twice now and love it!!

T B.

Yelp
Soooooo S......L........O..........W. Came here in 9/26 and the service was very slow. The teriyaki bowl had good flavor and so did the avocado roll, but it took forever to get it. The server had to be tracked down to get refills on drinks or to pay our bill. This was around 1pm on a Saturday. Today we came back for dinner to give it a second chance and it took just as long. We had to find the server to give her our order. The calamari was NOT good, it was chewy, greasy and the breading was soggy. The teriyaki bowl was still good, the rolls were ok. Half of the avocado rolls had unripe avocado on it. Everything came out one and at time and was spread out with about 10-20 minutes between each item. We didn't get one of our rolls that we ordered and it was only noticed by the server when she brought us the bill, and then she had to remove it. The bathrooms were not clean.

kluseanna m.

Yelp
Good Food. Phenomenal authentic flavors. Amazing morning staff. The vibes in the restaurant are good as well. I would highly recommend for anyone,

T H.

Yelp
Pretty quick delivery, food was good. Over $4.00 in delivery charges for about 5 blocks seems a little excessive.

Amy Z.

Yelp
Took 25min for my stir-fry to come. Twice cooked pork was not right: too thick of cut and too much juice. Saw many others order Japanese dishes, maybe I should have done that as well.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Great food! They called me when an order couldn't be completed and assisted me in canceling and reordering all in a timely manner, which made me appreciate their service as a local student needing a big meal.

Jessica D.

Yelp
I love this place and will continue to support them but this is the 3rd time my order has been wrong. I imagine it's because they are out of an item or something, but I would rather they call me if an item isn't available than just substituting something else with no note or anything. Awesome sushi, great service, love their yakisoba, and really love their Chinese menu. But I wish they had a system for communicating if an order isn't able to be completed.

Lena R.

Yelp
I havent been here in a bit, so it was nice to come chill and get some sushi, I love their teas and their seared salmon is one of my faves! Glad we came back

Em S.

Yelp
Was stopping by Walla Walla and I'm so glad I came across this gem. The food and sushi were delicious! Will definitely be making a stop here whenever I visit. Also, the young man who helped me was very kind. 10/10 would recommend.

JenIfer F.

Yelp
Once past the grimy doors-clean counters clean tables-staff extremely helpful & friendly. 45 minutes wait for the food to arrive-but worth the wait! Excellence. Not the white chicken no fat. Well seasoned chicken & fresh broccoli. Vegetable fried rice-hot & not sitting pre-made.

Isaiah C.

Yelp
To preface, As a commercial truck driver I am very limited in the type of food that I order while I'm on the road. I will either walk or order delivery when I'm finished with work. I decided to order some sushi at Asian Fusion. I have never heard any reviews or recommendations so I went in blind. I ordered through their in-house delivery option online and processed the payment without any problems so I figured the transaction went fine and they got my order. An hour and a half later I haven't heard anything from them or from the front desk, (I know that I distinctly remembered to put in the hotel address and room number). So I called and asked if there was any issues. The person on the phone said "yes everything's fine your order will be ready soon." And hung up before I could get a word in. I figured it could be possible that they're really busy, but on a Tuesday night? Less likely. I waited another hour. This has been two and a half hours since I made the order ( it was 6pm-ish when I called, and the last time I ate was 12:30pm) so I called. "Oh what was your order?" I riddled off my order, which in my mind didn't seem too complicated. "Oh... we didn't make that yet. It'll be another 45 minutes." After more than 3 and a half hours of waiting, I finally got a knock on my door. I see the bag of food, thank the driver, and open said bag. No silverware, no napkins. I feel like this would be a great continuation/adaption of "Trapped in the Drive Thru" by Weird Al, I felt like I was in a comedy where I was the butt end of the joke. Anyway, If you're ever in Walla Walla and your only options are takeout, I'd recommend Domino's. It's hard to mess up a pizza and some Parmesan balls.

Stacy W.

Yelp
such good sushi for such a good price. i would eat here everyday if i could. get the fried rice and ur life is complete.

Sandi F.

Yelp
One of my go to spots in Walla Walla. Doing the best they can with take out but you can dine in. Ordered Teriyaki Box which is large enough for two. 3 gyoza for $1.95 makes them the tastiest & cheapest was to get 6 gyoza in the city.

Taylor M.

Yelp
Freshest and best price sushi in Walla Walla. And their happy hour and delivery is spot on. EPIC prices and tasty sushi. What more can you want?!

Jeremy M.

Yelp
The service is horrible here . We had been waiting for over 25 min for out food , the waitress comes over and says "I am so sorry but we lost your order , what was it that you ordered ? Like are you for real !!? There was only 3 other groups in the restaurant, was not busy at all ! Food finally starts coming out , one piece at a time 40 min later ! The didn't even give us napkins , nor did they ask if we wanted any sauces . If your thinking of going and sitting down to eat at this place , I would think twice about your options !

Lanka W.

Yelp
UPDATE: THANK YOU for making it right when I went back today asian fusion and making it clear it was a misunderstanding. Furthermore, thank you for making the process easy and fast by remembering who we were. The food is great so we will be back in due time and we hope to have a better experience next time. I will be leaving the old review up so people know what my original experience was like, I think that's only fair. Again, THANK YOU for making it right. We applaud you. OLD REVIEW: This restaurant ruined our date day. We were here Wednesday evening. For starters, we never got the hot tea we asked for upon the waitress taking our order cards. We asked multiple times throughout our time there and didn't get it once, (thanks for the 1 water refill though) on top of having to wait about 40 minutes after we got apps to receive entrees. Didn't receive the right items, (ordered salads, received soup even though both were on ticket; got a small sushi box for a giant rice bowl). When we asked for the check it was about another 30 minute wait when our headaches were already setting, only to find out she charged one of the people in our parties bank the FULL AMOUNT when it was supposed to be split. Everyone else paid their split amount. We will be going back today to hopefully get the charge corrected, and if not, will be happily opening a dispute with the bank. Good food ruined by a terrible experience. Do not spend your money here if you don't want to take the chance of it being stolen.

Pete G.

Yelp
Hard no. How are the review scores so high here? This was the our debate during dinner. Tried the ramen bowl, cannot recommend. Not sure what makes the broth "classic". We were excited to try something different, and this misadventure turned into a cautionary tale against trying new things. Sincerely, disappointed

Benjamin F.

Yelp
Asian Fusion is an awesome restaurant. It has a pretty authentic feel to it, my family enjoys the atmosphere. We mainly go here for sushi and the kids get teriyaki and some sushi. We've never had a problem or left unsatisfied paying such a low price. It's definitely worth it in my book and I love sushi so take that for what you will. The ONLY reason I can't give 5 stars is because the pickup orders take quite a while due to our current world situation. However, the staff seems to be adapting, learning, and making progress in that area. Oh, also, no beer served there but the sushi is great.

Jasmine J.

Yelp
We ordered two dishes and one appetizer and were amazed by how delicious they were. Truly authentic Chinese cooking. The owner lady was super warm and welcoming, chatted with us for a long time. Easily one of the best chinese restaurants l have been to on west coast. Highly recommended!!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Friendly staff, love the conveyor belt, was looking for quick eats and this fit the bill! However fish quality matches the price. Might want to stick with vegetarian or cooked items if you're a sushi aficionado

Sawyer M.

Yelp
Enjoyable place to get some sushi. Helpful staff. Food is good, seems to be fresh the two times I've been in. Delivery option is nice, but may take a while I've heard. Happy hour every day, which is a huge plus.

Danny L.

Yelp
Ordered door dash after having a long day. I live only a few blocks away and ordered 3 sushi rolls. Took over an hour for the delivery and was subpar. Big disappointment.

Daniel B.

Yelp
A large group from Boise were here for my wife's 40th birthday. We collectively decided that sushi would be a great dinner choice. Towards me the place right downtown was takeout only so after some searching we found Asian fusion. It's definitely a little funky hole in the wall sushi both restaurant. They seemed understaffed and definitely weren't ready for an eight top. We did not let that dismay us. Fruit took a while to get to because it was such a large order and they brought out complementary calamari and a puff ball filled with sweet bean paste. Both were delicious. The food came and everything looked amazing. Fish was fresh and rice was prepared well. Salmon nigiri was especially amazing and fresh tasting. The serving portions were small because it was a sushi boat place but the prices are very reasonable. Although the rolls are not as interesting and complicated you get it the more expensive sushi places all in all food was amazing and we will definitely be coming back next time we're in town.

Jeffery P.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food!! Nice friendly staff and service! My new favorite restaurant in town!

Jose C.

Yelp
The rice was stale and tasted rancid. When we order our raw fish some of it was yellow and looked rotten. Unfortunately my friend ate some of it before we got a good look at. So we went home felt horrible immediately afterwards. Needless to say we will never set foot in that establishment ever again. If you are looking for sushi on a budget and don't want to pay to much I would rather suggest that you go to the local China buffet because at least there sushi is Palatable.

Lou R.

Yelp
Excellent. Have tried both the beef and chicken Yakisoba, both were great. Tried the beef and chicken Teriyaki Donburi, again great. Staff was great, can't wait to dine-in.

Hot R.

Yelp
Most authentic Chinese food in town!!!!! The sushi is also good here. Recommended to Asian food lovers.

Tim W.

Yelp
I am very disappointed and feel like I have been ripped off! I placed and paid for my order online. A coworker went and picked it up along with a couple of other orders for the office. When he returned, my order was missing a rainbow roll, very disappointing because it is my favorite. I called to inform Asian Fusion of their mistake and asked for a refund, not for my whole order but just for the one missing roll. They would not refund me ANY of my money! They said they could not refund me for a specific amount. I have worked in restaurants for 30 years and I know this is total BS. They should of offered to refund me for the whole order, instead I overpaid for goods that were not provided. They told me if I call I can get $5 off my next order but it is unlikely I will order from them again as I feel like I have been ripped off. The food is good but the service is questionable and they make mistakes they do not take responsibility for. I can't believe they made me pay for something I did not receive! Be sure to check your orders so you don't get ripped off too! Regards, Ripped off and pissed off

Mary Jo L.

Yelp
Delicious Sushi and so easy to order all the Japanese other dishes. Katsu was fantastic, hot and crunchy. Miso soup was one of the best I have had since leaving Japan. Well worth ordering. Very inexpensive meals and quite authentic. Will visit them again And again.
